Try to See it Once My Way

Plans were quickly put in motion for Gianna’s expedition. The crew was presented with all the very best equipment, from beautifully detailed maps and the warmest polar fleeces to keep them warm on the ocean to the best tools and weapons. Jamie’s jaw dropped to the floor when he saw the boat. It was more of a yacht, but with amazing mobility. It handled like a dream. Despite his shame for accepting to go along with such an awful plan, he found himself quickly falling in love with the boat. All the while, Cassidy was hanging around, perpetually dressed in skimpy outfits that flaunted her assets. Ace’s age didn’t keep him from flirting with her, and, of course, she flirted right back. Jamad aad a feeling she only did it to humor the old man, and to amuse herself. Whenever he sneaked a peek at her, she was always eyeing him with interest. Or so he thought....
Gianna announced the expedition would begin after the end of the rainy season, which was only a few weeks away. Jamie often took the boat out on the water in Kanto, getting used to it. Sometimes Kirk or Patrick joined him. He tried to explain to them his love of the sea, and boats. “It’s like a woman,” he said. “You learn every curve she has. You love the smell of her. You love the way she feels, in so many ways. I feel that way about the sea.” Cassidy was nearby.

“You know all that stuff about women,” she shouted from the dock, as they pulled in. Kirk and Patrick retreated, while Jamie stayed on board, securing the anchor and performing various other chores. Cassidy headed up the gangplank and sat on the railing at the bow. She watched Jamie work. “For someone so young, you sound like you know quite a bit.”

He tried to keep his eyes on the rope he was coiling around his arm, but they wandered to her face. She looked flushed. Her blonde hair had been waved, and now it lay softly around her shoulders. Just the way Rosy’s hair does, he thought. She left his mind as his eyes traveled further down Cassidy’s body. She wore a navy blue sundress that clung to her curves. Her large breasts threatened to come out of the scant bodice of the dress. His gaze swept over her long, slim legs which were crossed. She playfully dangled a high-heeled white sandal off her foot. He swallowed hard and turned his back to complete his chores. He heard the sound of her heels against the floor of the ship, click, click, click, as she approached him. He knew she was right behind him, but he dared not look. She pressed her bosom into his back, and slowly reached around to his crotch. She stroked him and whispered in his ear, “That girl is just some silly high-school slut. Why not let me teach you some things. Maybe you’ll fall desperately in love with me.”

He grasped the railing in an effort to regain control. “Please, stop,” he could barely eke out.

“You don’t want me to,” she teased. He tried to argue, but he groaned in pleasure instead. He was now putty in her hands. She quickly yanked down his pants and shorts. She briefly went down on him. Sensing his was getting close, she lifted her skirt to reveal her lack of panties. That made him even hotter, and if he wanted to protest, he couldn’t. She straddled him and he quickly surrendered to her. She smiled, kissed his cheek and left him lying on the deck of the ship.

Jamie felt stained by his encounter with Cassidy. She’d pushed all his buttons and played him like a violin. He was angry. He felt as though he’d betrayed Rosy, even though Cassidy had seduced him. Despite all this, he was still incredibly hot for her, and she kept dropping hints that she wanted him again, and again. They met in secret everywhere, whenever they could. That made the sex better. He couldn’t imagine why she’d want him, a former virgin with absolutely no experience at all, but she didn’t seem to mind his lack of technique. She took over every session, and for him, it was mind-blowing. She seemed more pleased at his orgasms than her own. He had a feeling that she was seeing someone else, but he didn’t care. All she was to him was a fuck; and vice-versa. They expected nothing from each other than sex. After each time, he felt good, then horrible. Post-orgasm, Rosy would enter his mind, and he’d feel lousy all over again. He soon saw sex as a way to keep his mind off her.
Soon, the expedition was set to sail. Cassidy saw the crew off at the dock. She kissed Jamie and grabbed his crotch. “I’ll be waiting,” she purred. He smiled and promised her he’d be back. He boarded the ship and guided it out onto the ocean. They approachhe Whe Whirl Islands after a day on the sea. The northeast island in the network seemed to be their starting point. They docked the big ship at a port in Cianwood Island, and took smaller rowboats past the whirlpools guarding the walls of seaweed which surrounded the islands. While they walked into the cave entrance to the island, a swift current swept the boats away. They were already inside the dark cavern, so they didn’t notice. The cavern had dark pools of murky water, tall ledges and nasty whirlpools and waterfalls to challenge them. Even with their fancy equipment, it was still a struggle to get anywhere in the cave. They scaled to the highest point of the ledges, and followed the map into Lugia’s lair. “I bet you’ll miss all the sex,” Ace said to Jamie. Kirk and Patrick laughed.

“What do you mean,” Jamie said. “We’ll make it back.”

“Heh,” he scoffed. “Kids these days. Anyway, after this, we’ll all be millionaires, right, boys?” This time Jamie joined the laughter, albeit nervously. Patrick pulled a pearly shell-like instrument from his pocket, and begin to play a sweet, airy tune. Silence ruled the dungeon. A song came from below the water’s surface, answering the tune. Lugia emerged from the depths, singing along. “Unbelievable!” A boy rushed out from the shadows. The mist from the waterfalls made it hard for him to see, but Jamie thought he looked familiar.

“Hey, kid, get outta here,” Ace warned.

"Yea, if you know what's good for ya," Jamie hissed. He, too was in awe of Lugia. It made him speak quietly.

"What? What are you doing here," the boy asked. "Do you want Lugia?"

They laughed quietly. "Do we want Lugia," Ace said. "Yea, we do. Now, scram."

"No." The boy stayed firm. "I came here to catch it." He held up a silvery feather.

"Sorry, tyke," Kirk said. "You're not catchin' it, because we're huntin' it." He cocked a large harpoon and aimed it at the still airborne Lugia.

"What? No!" The boy had a Pokéball which he threw at Lugia. His throw fell short, and the ball splashed into the pool below. He looked down at it. He heard the harpoon fire, and saw the sharp end slice into Lugia's neck. The beast’s pain came out in a ghastly screech. Lugia thrashed wildly against the walls of the dungeon. The entire cave rumbled. Patrick was knocked off the ledge and into the water far below. “Patrick,” Jamie screamed. Kirk grabbed his arm. “Get out! We’re all gonna die!” He tried to pull Jamie away. Lugia used its last breath to use Aeroblast, and send his assassins to their graves. They watched as Ace was thrown against sharp rocks, which sliced his head clean off his shoulders. They screamed. They tried to run, but Kirk slipped on the puddles of water and blood and tumbled to his own death. “No!” Jamie was desperate to get out. Debris was flying everywhere. He fell, and while trying to get up, rocks fell from the sky and pounded into his back. “I can’t move,” he yelled. Buried under a huge pile of broken rock, he couldn’t move his legs. He could barely breathe. He thought of Rosy. “I’m here for you,” he screamed, delirious. “I loved you enough to risk my own pathetic life! Now look at me! I’m gonna die in this cave, all alone, and I still can’t have you. What have you done to me, Rosalin? Why do I love someone like you? All you’ve done is fuck me over in favor of some other assholes. Well, you have what you want! I’m out of your life forever! And out of life period!” He lay there until he could breathe no longer, and he died.

Weeks later, they were confirmed dead. Cassidy and Butch were in Gianna’s office reading the obituaries. “Too bad they didn’t make it back,” Butch commented. Gianna snorted. She was upset about their failure.

“I got what I wanted, Butch,” Cassidy said, running her hands over her now flat stomach. “Soon, I’ll bear his child, and pay a visit to the proud grandparents.” She smiled that evil smile, the same smile that beguiled Jamie, made him give himself to her, eventually impregnate her, and lead him to his own death. Dead father of her baby. All part of her elaborate plan. It was a final revenge to Jessie Fauntleroy, her long-time nemesis and rival. Not only was her only beloved son missing for three years, but he was dead and had a child on the way. Surely she and James had heard of Jamie’s death. Only eight short months later, Cassidy gave birth to a boy. A son with Jamie’s red hair and green eyes. She bundled the tiny infant in green blankets and nestled him into a basket. She left him on the Fauntleroy’s doorstep and rang the doorbell. Jessie answered the door to see the baby. “What’s this,” she wondered aloud. She picked up the basket and closed the door behind her. “James, come look at this.” She peeled the layers of blanket away to get a good look at the baby. Green glass eyes stared back at her. She gasped. “It’s Jamie,” she said. “Jamie’s home! He’s back! James, hurry!”

James ran in from the garage. “What,” he asked. “What are you talking about, Jess?”

Jessie presented him with the baby. “Look, James, it’s our Jamie!” Her eyes were wild.

He looked at his wife, alarmed. She looked as though she’d retreated into fantasy and allowed herself to believe that this baby was in fact their dear dead son. He did admit that the babe looked much like his son afte had had been born. “Jess, Jamie was eighteen when he died,” he explained gently. “He was a grown man, and now he’s dead. Come on now, let go of this baby. We have to call the police and let them know about this.” Jessie ignored him, instead lifting the baby completely out of the basket. She noticed a hospital bracelet still around his wrist. She read the writing on it and screamed. She nearly dropped the baby.
“What, what,” James asked, rushing to catch her and the baby.

“Look, James, look what’s on the bracelet,” she shouted. “ ‘Born August 28, 2001, to Cassidy Rodgers!’ This is Cassidy’s child! But he looks like Jamie! Oh, God, you don’t think....”

James turned white, but struggled to keep his composure. “Go lie down, please, Jess. Rest. I’ll look after the baby. Go on, now.” He had to practically drag her up the stairs and into bed. He held the baby gently. “If you really are my grandson, which isn’t easy to doubt, I’ll do what is best for you,” he said. “I’m not sure if you should be with your mother. Your father is dead. Don’t worry, little one. We won’t let the past ruin you too.”
