Quiet Mourning

Hey, here I am, back in my element! It’s a good thing too, since my experiment with non-Konosetsu writing, “Old Flame”, turned out to be about as popular as A.I. Love You (Whoa-ho! Burn!). Not that I’ll let that discourage me from trying new things, of course (No, you aren’t that lucky), but it does mean I’ll be sticking with Quiet Morning for the next couple of updates (Sorry about the long silence). AT this rate, I’ll probably never be able to recover the following I once had, though it’s not that big a deal. As long as SOMEONE is reading these things, I’ve got reason to post them. So keep reading, ya hear? ;p

Speaking of things that’ll never happen, I’ll probably never own Negima. I don’t own it now, and unless Ken Akamatsu meets me and deems me the rightful heir to his wonderful franchises, I don’t think my stories are going to become official anytime soon, but at least I can keep them from being illegal, right? *loves having fun writing disclaimers*

Konoka gently pulled the knob out, causing the lower faucet to begin pouring new, cold water. She held her hands underneath it, waiting for it to turn to warmth. After a few moments, it did, so she switched on the shower. The warm water poured from the spout, caressing her naked body, refreshing her newly awakened spirit. For the first time this morning, she opened her eyes fully, letting out a yawn. After a momentary pause, she took the soap and began to slowly wash her body. This task was not the foremost thing on her mind; she was lost in thoughts. Every time her hand brushed against her skin, she thought of Setsuna.

Mahorafest had passed, and throughout the festival, Konoka had spent much time with her, using the days to grow even closer to the girl she already knew she loved. Certainly, the two of them had slipped away from the more populated areas of the school on several occasions to enjoy quick moments of private bliss. Near the end of the event, they had been simply relishing each other’s presence. Now, a more relaxed season was upon them, and Konoka’s heart was heavy with the knowledge of what was to come, now that her grandfather, the Headmaster of Mahora, had less to oversee. She knew she would have to tell him about Setsuna eventually, but she had no idea of how.

Konoka finished in the shower, so she turned it off and stepped out into the main bathroom, her eyes looking down at the floor in melancholy. She dried herself off, then wrapped a towel around her body. She walked into the main room, where Asuna was still asleep in her bed, despite it being nearly eleven o’ clock. One hand securely grasping the towel, Konoka walked over to her own bed. Setsuna had not slept over the night before; she was doing a job for the headmaster. Konoka stared with faint, but discernable disdain at what lay on top of the bed. She sighed with frustration, hesitated for a moment, then picked up the O-Miai robe and brought it back into the bathroom with her.

She dried her hair. She arranged her hair. She did up every inch of her face in makeup, taking special care with her eyes and lips. Finally, Konoka took the robe, and just slipped the sleeves over her arms. She stared at herself in the mirror, the robe over her form, but spread open, revealing her body. This body, which she had given only to Setsuna, and received Setsuna’s in return. For all that they had done together, when Konoka looked at herself, she did not see something dirty, something that had been soiled by lust. If anything, she thought she looked stronger, like her confidence was greater.

Finally, Konoka tied the robe up. She quickly finished getting ready, and headed back into the bedroom, stooping down to put on her shoes. Asuna stirred above, then turned over to face Konoka.

“O-Miai this early after Mahorafest?” Asuna asked.

“Yeah,” Konoka replied softly, trying to look away from Asuna as much as possible. Asuna noticed this, and immediately felt sorrow for her friend. It just seemed wrong for Konoka to have to keep doing this, especially when she was already with someone. She hated seeing Konoka so embarrassed about doing this.

“You know,” Asuna said, “I don’t think you’re handling this in the best way. The longer you put off telling him, the more complicated things are going to get.”

Konoka stared up at Asuna, her eyes shimmering with understanding, but then she shot her stare down to the ground in renewed frustration and shame. “I know I shouldn’t put it off. He’ll find out before I tell him if I put it off too long. I just…I just don’t know how to tell him.” Tears welled up in her eyes, so she quickly wiped them away to prevent her makeup from being ruined. In this time, Asuna had climbed down from the bed, placing a comforting hand on Konoka’s shoulder as she peered into her saddened eyes.

“I know the Headmaster,” she said calmly, “He’ll accept you no matter what your decision, you just need to tell him.” She brought her hand to Konoka’s face and wiped away the remaining tears.

Konoka breathed in deeply, pulling back all the other tears that were threatening to pour out. She looked at Asuna for a moment, gazing appreciatively at the girl she had come to rely on so much, especially lately. She took another deep breath, forcing back the tears, then pushed herself forward, embracing Asuna’s lower abdomen. Asuna allowed Konoka this moment of comfort, stroking her hair softly as she had done many times before whenever Konoka happened into a difficult situation. Asuna could understand how Konoka felt, so she was always ready to help in whatever way possible.

“Thank you Asuna,” Konoka sobbed as much as she could without actually crying, “Thank you.”

Eventually, Konoka recovered her composure, and was able to head off towards her arrangement. Asuna stood at the door and watched her until she was out of sight. Then she went back into the room and picked up the phone. She dialed a number, and after a couple of rings, someone picked up.

“Hello?” Setsuna answered.

“Setsuna,” Asuna began quickly, “What are you doing right now?”

“Well…” Setsuna looked down at the ground. The footprints ended here, indicating that it must have taken flight around here. “I’m tracking what looks to be a demon.”

“A demon?!” Asuna yelped, startled, “Here? Like, on campus?!”

“Don’t worry,” Setsuna said calmly as Asuna continued panicking over the phone, “It hasn’t attacked anyone, and I’ll make sure that it doesn’t.”

“But…But…” Asuna stuttered, “Are you going to be okay? Can you…can you handle it?”

“Of course,” Setsuna replied with confidence, “Remember who you’re talking to.”

Asuna chuckled quietly. “Right, must’ve forgot,” she said.

Setsuna sighed, “So did you call me to do anything besides worry about me?” she asked, sounding impatient.

“Well, actually,” Asuna began, her voice going higher now that she remembered why she had been worried in the first place, “How long do you think you’ll be doing that?”

“I don’t know,” Setsuna replied, “It depends on how long it take me to track this thing down. Why?”

“Well…” Asuna hesitated again, not eager to force herself into a relationship that wasn’t hers, “I think you need to go check on Konoka at some point.”

Setsuna’s eyes widened, “Kono-Chan? She’s not over there with you? Where did she go?”

Now Asuna had her attention. She was surprised, though. Had Konoka not told Setsuna about the O-Miai setup this morning? Why? “She’s going to one of her O-Miai things,” she said, “I know things can get crazy at those, so I think you should go and make sure she’s fending them off all right.” Asuna tried as much as she could not to sound forceful.

Setsuna was breathing hard now, the very thought of Konoka in trouble sending torrents of fear through her body. But even more than that, Setsuna slowly came to a conclusion. One which made her not only fearful, but angry.

“Thank you, Asuna,” Setsuna said slowly, then hung up the phone. Asuna pulled the disconnected phone from her ear, and looked at it in confusion.

“Setsuna,” she whispered to herself, “What are you going to do?”
* * *
Konoka ran into the locker room, then leaned up against one of the rows, breathing hard. She had done this many times before, but the robe still made it difficult for her to move, and besides that, it was hot. She had had to run a bit faster this time, as today’s “prospects” were unusually zealous. One man in particular, an older “gentleman” named Hans Hedrick, had made a move towards her quite quickly, prompting an earlier exit than usual from Konoka. Naturally, all the men had come after her, and Konoka had pulled her usual tricks to throw them off her tail, but for how long she did not know.

She was more tense about the setup this time than she had been before, mostly because of her relationship with Setsuna. So embarrassed by this was Konoka, that she had neglected to tell Setsuna about having one today. She didn’t want Setsuna feeling sorry for her, especially since she already had so much to deal with. Konoka continued weaving into the maze of lockers, hoping that they hadn’t already seen her come in here. Finally, she arrived at the rear exit of the room. Her hand hovered in front of the knob as she contemplated whether to leave or to stay. Which would be safer?

The door opened before Konoka could do it herself, and in it stood Hans Hedrick. He was an extremely tall man, dressed in a sharp black suit. He had ear-length, dirty blonde hair, and a bushy moustache of the same color. He also wore a dark scowl, accented by his bright blue eyes which shimmered with anticipation.

Hedrick walked in towards Konoka, who stumbled back into a row of lockers. “S-sir,” she started nervously, “I…I know my Grandfather set this up, and…uh….I know this sort of thing is important to you, b-but, I’m…just not…” She stuttered as she attempted to think of a way out.

“You’re right,” Hedrick said, his stoic gaze still fixated on Konoka, his expression unwavering, “It is important to me. A girl with as much magical power as you would make an excellent bride for any of us. I’m just fortunate that I was the first one to catch wind of you. I must act quickly before others make their way to this world.”

Konoka was still up against the lockers, frozen in place with shock and confusion. “You know about magic? Your bride? ‘This world’? What do you mean? Who are you?!” she shrieked, becoming more fearful with every second that the man got closer to her.

Hedrick chuckled. “Ah, good. It seems you are already acquainted with magic- the power that dwells within you. Then perhaps I should formally introduce myself.” He gave what could only be described as a mockery of a bow, exaggerating the entire gesture to the point of disrespect. “I have here taken the name of ‘Hans Hedrick’. I am one of the highest-ranking demons from our world. I intend to take you for my bride, and use your power to breed an army of magically-enhanced demons.”

Konoka’s mouth fell agape and she quaked with fear. “A…a demon?” She dropped to her knees, feeling that a scream might escape from her mouth at any moment, but right now, she simply could not say anything.

Hedrick rose from his bow and cracked a smirk as he looked at the terrified girl. “You really are an incredible specimen. All that magical power in such a cute little body.” His body slowly shook until it rose into a cackling chuckle. “I don’t know if I can contain myself until I get you to the demon world.” He stepped closer and closer to Konoka, who stared with fear up at the increasingly maniacal Hedrick. His eyes shimmered with a seemingly crazed anticipation. “Yes…” he hissed, “Let us begin right here…” At that, his body exploded out, and his human form gave way to a demonic mass of writhing tentacles.

Konoka shrieked at this sight, but it was only moments before Hedrick’s tendrils shot out and wrapped around her. One of them wrapped itself around both of her wrists, binding them behind her back. Two others slipped in through the top of her robe, to begin fondling her breasts. Again, Konoka shrieked as the tentacles coursed around her body, a mucous fluid building up all over the tentacles and subsequently coating her body. Tentacles wrapped around her legs and waist, hoisting her into the air as they accosted her.

Konoka’s breath was short and hard. She tried desperately to pant out words. “St-…Stop…pl-please stop…” Tears streamed down her face as she tried to speak.

Hedrick’s mocking voice bellowed from within the beast of tentacles. “Stop? My dear, I haven’t even begun. You should prepare yourself; when you become my bride, you and I will do this almost constantly to breed my demon army.”

Now, one tentacle coiled itself up in front of Konoka’s face. It was incredibly thick, and Konoka’s eyes widened at the thought of what was coming next. She clamped her mouth shut and gritted her teeth within at the phallus that hovered in front of her. Not phased by her resistance, it plunged forward, immediately getting though her lips. Only seconds later, it managed to work its way through her teeth.

Konoka tried as hard as she could to scream, but the tentacle filled her mouth and muffled her completely. Even as it moved in and out, it completely obstructed her voice. Konoka’s tears poured out faster, washing off more and more of her makeup. As she cried in muffled silence, she thought only of Setsuna, and desperately hoped that she would save her.

* * *
Setsuna knew that she had no choice. If the demon had indeed taken flight or teleported somewhere, then she had almost no chance of tracking it on the ground. She had to take to the air. People at the school might see her, but this was in their best interest. Setsuna took a deep breath, then spread her wings.

This was only the second time Setsuna had done this recently, the previous time being during the trip to Kyoto. That time, it had been to save Konoka. When, even though they had not yet been together, Setsuna’s love for Konoka had shone brightly, when she was willing to give up her life at the Academy, her life with Konoka, in order to make sure she was safe.

And now, Konoka was once again at stake. Setsuna guessed that with Konoka’s magical power awakened, and with her out alone today, and distracted besides, that this demon could go after her. Setsuna burned at the thought. She quickly leaped into the air and soared into the air. She was not sure what she was looking for, but she figured that she should keep an eye out for commotions of any sort.

“Where does Kono-Chan go during an O-Miai?” Setsuna thought to herself. The subject had never come up in conversation, Setsuna presumed that this was because Konoka was embarrassed about it. Now, Setsuna was extremely angry at herself for never bringing it up on her own. Konoka could be in danger, and it was her fault for not inquiring enough.

Suddenly, Setsuna sensed something. It wasn’t Chi, but it was definitely not of this world. She steered her flight path in its direction, going towards the locker rooms. It was only a few minutes before she arrived, and the site she came upon was something she never would have imagined.

Konoka squirmed in Hedrick’s ever-tightening grasp. Dozens of his tentacles were inside her robe now, while many smaller ones had joined the single large one in defiling her mouth. And now, she could feel another, even larger than the one in her mouth, working its way up her leg, going towards a goal that Konoka was terrified to think about. She continued screaming a muffled shriek, and gazed up into the sky in violated despair. Up there, she saw her salvation.

Setsuna floated in above the spectacle, silhouetted by the sun. Her expression was one of pure rage. From every inch of her shadowed form burned an anger so intense, that the demonic Hedrick could not help but take notice. The horrific mass of tendrils turned itself towards the warrior in the sky.

“Hah! The girl’s half-breed bodyguard!” Hedrick shouted at the stoic Setsuna, “Is it really good manners for you to barge in like this? We’re in the middle of something…personal.” Even as he spoke, his extensions continued their work on Konoka.

Setsuna seemed to take no note of what Hedrick was saying. Her eyes blazed with fury, and she took up her sword. Downward she swooped, bringing her blade to bear to slice through the beast.

“I don’t think so!” Hedrick cried, and quickly reeled in the restrained Konoka, positioning her in front of himself. Setsuna immediately stopped her strike. Her sword hovered in a neutral defense position, as she stared, horrified, at the defiled Konoka, now right in front of her. Konoka, dripping with Hedrick’s fluid, stared blankly at Setsuna.

“Set…chan…” Konoka said slowly, as Setsuna’s mouth gaped open in shock, “Set-Chan…I’m…sorry…”

Setsuna continued staring, her mind reeling at the situation. “No…” she said in a low voice, “I’m sorry. All this time, I’ve watched you. Now we’re together, and yet, I never learned anything about you. If I’d taken the time…if I’d known more about you…then…then…this wouldn’t have…” She began sobbing, looking down and covering her face, unable to look at Konoka.

This only caused Konoka to cry more, “No, Set-Chan…” She let out through her tears, “I should have been more open with you. I left you out of these things, and I should have brought you in. I always knew that you could help, but I guess…I guess I was too embarrassed… But now, I know! I want to tell you everything. I want to know that you can help me with all my problems. And I want to do the same for you, Set-Chan. I want to know everything about you. I want you to be the most important part of my life, and I want to be the same thing for you.” Her tears completely engulfed her face, all but washing off the entirety of her makeup. Despite the horror of the situation she had just been through, and indeed, was not yet over, Konoka could not help but smile at Setsuna, her savior.

The moment was broken by Hedrick’s cackle, “Buwah, hah hah! How touching. How beautiful! Knowing how sweet your little relationship is will make it that much more fun for me, when I kill you, bird-girl, and use your girlfriend here as my own, personal, everyday sex toy!”

Setsuna again ignored Hedrick, and floated higher into the air. She hovered above him, and brought up her sword. Putting it out to the side, she nodded down and dove at Hedrick.

“Stupid…Try to hit me like that, and I’ll make sure your princess is cut as well.” He lined Konoka up with Setsuna’s impending strike. However, Setsuna did not let up this time. Instead, she screamed towards Hedrick even faster. Konoka was not afraid, she knew that Setsuna must have figured out how to beat this monster.

Setsuna angled her blade perfectly. She began her call, “The Essence of the Shinmei School…” As her sword came to Hedrick’s tentacles and Konoka’s body, she aligned her Chi perfectly, and called out her strike: “Evil Cutting Sword! Second Form!”

Setsuna recovered from her strike, and landed behind Hedrick. A low growl emanated from his now slumping form. “So you have made your choice, Sakurazaki Setsuna of the Bird Tribe. Know that there are many more demons in that world, and as Konoka’s power grows, more will become aware of it. Consider my attack…a warning…” His voice trailed off as his body disintegrated. Finally, his tentacles dissolved and released Konoka, who floated down into Setsuna’s arms. Konoka quickly wrapped her arms around Setsuna, and they stayed in embrace for several minutes. At last, Konoka pulled away, and looked up into Setsuna’s eyes.

“Thank you…Set-Chan…” Both of them began to weep openly, and their faces came closer and closer to one another until they kissed, still crying in unison.
* * *
The Headmaster hugged his granddaughter closely, his eyes darkening with sorrow and shame. “My child,” He spoke softly, “I am so sorry for what I have put you through. Please…can you ever forgive me?”

Konoka pulled away, staring up at her grandfather. “I don’t have to forgive you, Grandpa. It was my fault.” Setsuna watched from across the room. Despite Konoka insisting that she tell her Grandfather of the situation herself, Setsuna decided that she should at least be there. She silently urged Konoka on from where she stood. “I…should’ve told you…I could’ve prevented…”

The Headmaster widened one of his eyes, giving Konoka a confused, cockeyed squint. “You could have prevented this? Told me what?” he asked, sounding intrigued.

Konoka took a deep breath. “Grandpa, I don’t need to do O-Miai anymore. I’ve…I’ve already found someone to be with. And-” She stammered, more tears welling up, “And if I’d told you, then you-and me- we wouldn’t have had to go through this…”

The Dean again hugged his Granddaughter. “Child, child,” he said gently, “You never could have known that something like this would happen. It was not in your power to prevent it.” He stroked Konoka’s head as she sobbed. “But what is this you say? You’ve found someone to be with? When? Who is it?”

Konoka regained her composure, then stood up and faced her Grandfather. “It happened a while ago. We’ve been seeing each other in secret for a few months now. I…I just don’t want you to be mad at me…” She stole a glance at Setsuna, who gave her a reassuring smile. Konoka reaffirmed her composure. Setsuna was here for her. She had no reason to cry. “It’s Setsuna,” she said firmly. “Setsuna and I are in love. We have been for several months now. I’m sorry…I’m sorry I didn’t tell you before, Grandpa.”

The Headmaster stared at Konoka, fixed in his usual inquisitive position, stroking his beard intently. “I see,” he said simply, “Is that all? I should’ve guessed.”

Konoka was taken aback. She looked at Setsuna, who only wore a similar look of confusion. They shrugged at each other, then looked back at the chortling Dean. He smiled warmly at the two of them. “Eishun had mentioned to me that his daughter’s bodyguard may have fallen in love with her. And Konoka, I always knew how much you cared for Setsuna. I should have figured that things would turn out this way. I have been foolish, trying to set you up with men myself.”

“It’s alright Grandpa!” Konoka enthusiastically replied, “I’m just glad you’re not mad at me!”

The headmaster laughed harder. “How could I be mad at you for falling in love? I’m happy for you. You and Setsuna both.” He smiled gently at the couple.

“Oh thank you Grandpa!” Konoka lunged forward and hugged her grandfather tightly.

“Konoka, I will talk with you in just a bit,” the Dean released her from his embrace, and looked over at the now-blushing Setsuna. “I need to speak with Setsuna about this. Privately, please.”

“O-of course, Grandpa,” Konoka obediently hurried to the door, stealing a glance at Setsuna and smiling with relief. Setsuna cracked a small grin back at her. Then, the door closed behind her.

The Headmaster turned and walked back to his desk to stare out the large window behind it. He continued stroking his beard. “So Setsuna,” he began, catching her somewhat off-guard, despite the fact that she was the only one in the room for him to talk to. “You have truly fallen in love with Konoka?”

Setsuna paused. Even though the fact was now well in the open, she still found it difficult to admit to anyone besides Konoka. She took a deep breath. “Yes. I love her with all my heart, as much as I have ever known how to.”

“I see,” the Dean said, then turned back around to face Setsuna. “Do you understand what could come of this?” His voice was not harsh. It merely sounded factual. Nonetheless, Setsuna cringed a bit at his words, if only because she did know what he was talking about.

“Yes,” Setsuna said lowly, “I know that relationships between demons and humans… that they are forbidden.” Her heart grew heavier with every word.

The Headmaster placed a hand on Setsuna’s shoulder, speaking with comfort. “You are the one my granddaughter has chosen to love. I will not tell you what you should or shouldn’t do. You must find these answers yourself.” He leaned in closer, his eyes narrowing with genuine concern. “However, I will tell you to be careful.”
* * *
The lights were turned off, but the entire room glowed, lit by the candles scattered all around it. It was a deep, heavy, romantic atmosphere; Konoka relished in it. She was laying on the bed, her O-Miai robe slipped onto her, but splayed open, revealing her soft, light body.

Setsuna stood across from the foot of the bed, completely naked with her hair down, regarding Konoka with pure adoration. Her heart beat faster with every glance she stole at her loved one’s yearning face.

Konoka had asked Asuna to allow her and Setsuna the night alone, in order to celebrate their finally achieved romantic freedom. Asuna had happily obliged, opting to spend the night in the next room over with Yue, Haruna, and Nodoka. With the night to themselves, Konoka and Setsuna had constructed this scene.

Konoka smiled, the heated air elating her senses. “Set-Chan, don’t be shy. You don’t need to anymore. We can be together now, without complications or secrets.”

Setsuna smiled back at her. “Yeah…” She walked over to the bed, climbing on and crawling over it until she was above Konoka. “Kono-Chan, I love you,” She said, and as they had so many times since that morning long ago, the two kissed, passion erupting between their lips. Their hands graciously wrapped around each other, their bodies pressed up against each other, cold skin connecting and warming in the flames of passion.

For minutes on end, they kissed. Their hands separated and wrapped around each others’ bodies, and their legs intertwined, and they felt each other in their most sensitive of places, and through all of this, their lips never parted. Wrapped in each others’ embrace, they rolled across the bed, Setsuna ending up on the bottom now.

The kiss finally ended, with both girls gasping for air after the prolonged embrace of lips. They panted, staring at each other in the soft, orange glow of the candles. Konoka slipped her right hand out from around Setsuna, and began tracing a light line along Setsuna’s stomach. Setsuna breathed faster, her now-free hand reaching up to stroke Konoka’s hair.

Konoka’s hand reached lower, cupping itself over Setsuna. Konoka could feel the heat of lust emanating from Setsuna’s slit. With Setsuna’s hand running through her hair, stroking faster with each passing moment, Konoka moved her face in closer to, and plunged her tongue into Setsuna’s mouth at the same time she plunged her hand into Setsuna’s body.

Setsuna’s entire body twitched in the grasp of Konoka’s penetration. She pulled her hand off of Konoka’s head, opting to wrap it around Konoka’s entire body and squeeze tightly to alleviate some of the joyous pressure. After still more time, she disconnected her own right hand from its embrace with Konoka, and quickly brought it down to mirror Konoka’s actions on her own body.

The two girls continued penetrating each other, sweating profusely in the heat of lust. They kept kissing, and pushing, and thinking of nothing but each other as their bodies and souls became one. And after what seemed like a blissful eternity, their passion erupted from each other at the same instant.

Exhausted from the exchange, the couple collapsed onto each other, laying panting on the bed, and all but falling asleep completely.

Much later, as the night they had spent was coming to a close, Konoka and Setsuna still lied on the bed, embracing each other. “Set-Chan…,” Konoka said in her low, tired voice that Setsuna had always loved the sound of. “Set-Chan… I love you so much.”

“I love you too, Kono-Chan,” Setsuna replied, her voice cracking with heartfelt longing, “More than I could ever properly say.”

At that instant, a great circle of deep blackness opened beneath Setsuna. Konoka shrieked at the sight, crawling back suddenly as clouds of darkness enveloped Setsuna, who looked at Konoka with deep fear in her eyes. A shining light representation of her wings opened up around Setsuna, as she was pulled ever more into the growing darkness. “Kono-Chan,” She said quickly, “Please…know that I will never stop loving you.”

As Konoka looked on with tears in her eyes, Setsuna was fully swept into the darkness, which then simply dissolved into the light from the newly arrived morning. In that just-born light, Konoka kneeled on the bed, stared at the space where Setsuna had been only moments ago, and cried until she thought she could cry no more.

This day’s Morning sun has risen
What will the next Morning sun bring?

That’s right, it’s over. That’s one reason it took me so long, I was contemplating whether this would be the last chapter or not, and if it was, how I would complete it. Of course, as you’ve seen, this certainly isn’t the ending of the story, just of this part of it.

The other reason it took so long was just a decision on my part. One reason I think “Old Flame”, and to an extent Chapter 3 of this story suffered was because I was rushing them, pushing myself to make a deadline. I didn’t rush this one, just wrote it at my own leisure. The downside of that is that I’m sure a lot of my former readers have totally forgotten about me by now.

Anyway, I’d say I’m relieved that it’s over, but as I already mentioned, it’s far from done. Where did Setsuna go? What will Konoka do? Will other characters get involved? Will I ever read far enough into the Manga (via scanslations) to get ideas involving the current state of the real story? Stay tuned, because fancy Konosetsu-based adventures are only beginning.

Have you guys been watching Negima!?(?) It’s incredible, right? Konoka sure loves her some video games.
