Chapter 4
“ My my….Back in to the Infinity Fortress ….It brings back memories doesn’t?”
A grimace ran across Genii’s face, as Akabane spoke. The last thing he wanted was to remember was the Infinity Fortress and all that it entailed.
“Don’t worry. Were not going.”
Ban stood up, stretching and leaning his hands in to his pockets and lit one.
“It’s too dangerous and then you have to worry about the creature trying to attack and protect their area, along with attacks coming from any areas. We don’t need that and were better off finding a job that would better suit everyone.”
“But….the pay-“
“The only reason the pay is so high is because of the danger risk!”
“But-“
“Think about it Genji. No pictures... no real info on what the snake is really like. WE DON’T EVEN KNOW HOW LARGE OF SNAKE WERE TALKING ABOUT.”
“But Ban-chan…we really are needing the money right now…and if it’s this one time-“
Shido stared at Genji and Ban for a while. For the past few weeks they have been trying desperately to raise money in any way shape or form. The job would greatly help, but again the problem was, like the Snake-Bastard said….the danger risk was extremely high.
HEVN shifted, and messed with her hair a bit.
“You know if you worked together like you did last time, things wouldn’t be as dangerous.”
“That’s not the point.”
“Figures. Can’t even take a challenge when it comes to what you need and what you want to do.”
Ban glared at the Monkey-trainer and walked towards him.
“Unlike you, there are more people involved than just yourself..”
Himiko picked up what Shido was trying to do, and joined in.
“I agree. I think Ban has lost his touch. Can’t even take out a simple snake and bring it back.”
Ban looked at the both of them. Genji simply wanted to go because of the money, and now Shido and Himiko were both nudging him to go. After taking a drag, he regretfully looked towards Akabane, who, with out words, already told him he would rather go.
Walking outside to tune up the car...”Tch..Fine…It’s been boring around here anyways..”
“Now at least eat something Detective –“
“HOW MANY TIMES DO I HAVE TO TELL YOU?~! I DON’T HAVE A JOB AT THE POLICE OFFICE ANY MORE~!”
“ YOU DON’T HAVE TO SHOUT~!”
Grumbling Leon struggled to get up, when Testu grabbed the cane and ran off.
“ HEY YOU FUCKING GOAT~! GET BACK HERE WITH THAT~!”
D stared at Testu, as his unusual behavior. / Why did you do that?
From around the corner, the only response was, “talk to him”.
D turned his head, half – confused at Leon, who was still trying to stand.
Talk to him.
“ Damn it...stupid goat stealing my fucking cane…YOU BETTER NOT CHEW ON IT~!”
“Are you sure you don’t want any thing to eat Dect-..Leon?”
“ No thanks, and thank you….” After sitting still for a while he holds his head.
“Look. The incense has been burning my eyes, the goat snores louder than I do and I haven’t really been able to go out side. I just want to relax.”
D stared at Leon for a moment. He hadn’t been letting him go outside; for fear that some one would spot him and tie him back to the incident that happened not too long ago. The incense was a must and as for him and the goat, they both could use nose plugs.
Talk to him.
But about what? There were so many things he wanted to say but was confused and a bit scared about how he would react.
“Leon-“
“Can you call the goat over here so I can get up?”
“ One moment….Leon….Why did you search me out?”
“ Damn- what?”
“ Why…..did you search me out? Why did you continue to look for me?”
Leon stared at D for a moment to figure an answer. He didn’t want to simply say, that he missed him that he grew on him, that actually talking to some one on the daily basis was relieving.
“Dunno..”
“ What?”
“ I said I don’t know…”
D looked at Leon, as he finally saw a face that he used on Leon many a times.
The face of “I want to tell you...”
