Richard stood on the balcony watching as Allen and Cross
were taken away from the order by robbed individuals, his right hand bound in
inscribed script. He tilted his head, resting his left index finger under his
chin. Allen looked back at that moment.
“Hmm, Tiedoll...” The general looked up from his painting, a
smile on his face.
“Yes, Master Richard.” At which he continued to paint.
“Why don’t they just allow Allen to use the Ark? I could do
it for them right now.” He said raising his right hand, ready to click his
fingers, but lowered them placing them in his pocket, as well as his left hand.
“But I won’t. He’ll see the truth soon enough....” Tiedoll stood up, having
finished his art and placed his brush down, walking up to stand beside Richard.
“Such a harsh thing for the young one to take, but he’ll
pull though, that I know for sure.”
“You may be right general, and I think he’ll indeed do just
that. Now, what can you show me of the black order hmmm?”
“I thought you were all knowing.”
“Well...I may be, let’s just
state for now I am not...ha” At which he turned and walked past Tiedoll’s painting, one of the order, him as the centre
piece, so detailed in his work “That’s
Tiedoll for you.” Then he made his
way back inside with the General on his tail, art and all.
They made there way done to the stone loby, with all its pillars, and paintings at which Richard
paid no attention to this walking forwards along the corridor to the central
shaft of the tower, with nearly all the doors looking the same. He looked left
and right while scratching his head in confusion “God...this could be more confusing than Noah’s Ark...oh
well.” He just stood there while Tiedoll walked up beside him.
“Yes...I know it looks confusing at first, really they should change the
colour scheme. Where to, the libary?”
Richard just looked at him with shock on his face. “That’s easy take the third
right, down one flight, turn left and carry on past four set of doors....and
it’s on your left. That is assuming we’re going from here.”
“Hmm...I can see why a person like Miranda get’s lost easily in this
place. And yes it does need a new colour scheme. To the Libary then.” Richard turned to his left and marched
forwards a few paces, stopped turned around to Tiedoll again and gesturing for
him to lead. “Why don’t you just take me there general since you live here, per
say.” He said with a slight smile on his face.
Needless to say, that wasn’t the only stop on their little tour after
the library there was the science department, training area, sleeping quarters,
who knows where, meeting rooms, lounges, the mess hall, and finally Komui’s
office were he was talking Bookman.
“He really is something managed to scare off Lavrier
right off...oh ur...Richard
was it over here.” Komui suddenly piped up waving frantically.
“Good God, i
swear he’s either bi polar or over protective. Yes?” Komui walked over
rubbing his hands with glee followed by Bookman who just looked on with his
blank stare.
“I’d like to introduce to-“
“Bookman...yes we’ve met...oh is there any chance to see the ‘maiden of
innocence’?” Komui just scratched his head at this Bookman just narrowed his
eyes slightly. “I mean Hevlaska. The reason I called her that was that she
holds the Cube, the frame for all 109 innocence fragments, well most of them now...at
least.”
“How do you know that? We haven’t met, or told you that information,
there doesn’t really any point I suppose.” Bookman just unfolded his arms and
began to walk towards the door with Komui, who just waved for Richard and
Tiedoll to follow.
“Really chief Komui, you mind if I call you chief? I could use the Ark
to get use there right now. I don’t mind walking all the way there...really.”
They just carried on walking.
“Well that won’t be possible the science team are studying it.”
“I’d like to speak about that with you young Richard Mathews.” Bookman
butted in with a general tilt of his head, which was answered with a slight
shrug and a hum from Tiedoll.
“I imagine that the Ark won’t let you in so easily.”
“What do you mean?”
“This is only a theory mind you... If you prod and poke at something
that doesn’t want to be touched, it’ll bite back. Hard!”
They were now at the level were Hevlaska resided, and with a slight hiss
the door opened with a groaning creek. Komui just walked onwards as did Tiedoll
and Bookman with slightly worried expressions on their faces. When Richard
crossed over the threshold his eyes began to burn, his entire body shuddered,
his blood pounding in his ears, drowning out all noise, vision swimming. A
voice spoke then, just as distorted
“You are the clean slate...part
and yet not part...whole but incomplete.”
“Who are you?”
“You
know. Know that we and it share your vision... The one who controls time will
be with you.”
“So...that how it is then? None of this will
mater soon.”
Richard’s vision returned to normal to normal Tiedoll, Komui, and
Bookman looked at him with slightly wide eyes. What Richard saw in front of
him, past the three standing behind them...
“Sorry...i guess you don’t see her.”
“Who? Hevlaska?”
“...” In front of him was a little girl with brown hair with a red
jacket, white shirt, a green tartan dress, white stockings and black shoes, her
face and eyes in shadow; her hairstyle the same as the towering white Hevlaska.
“I will record this...there are records just before the formation of the
order, correct supervisor Komui?” Komui just nodded looking from Hevlaska, who just
looked at Richard, and solely at him.
“Well...now that...this is done, let us wait for General Cross and Allen
to get back...I expect Lavrier will be with them.”
Tiedoll piped up right now.
“Yes...it’ll be good to learn what they know.” Richard just laughed at
this.
“Oh...you won’t like what you’ll hear that’s for sure, my dear art-ist.” With that there was runny footsteps coming towards
them, and Reaver opened the door that had just
entered.
“Hay...guys Allens back...!” Richard just
turned from Komui to Reaver and back again and walked
past him up the stairs his mouth twitching with a faint smile.
“Whatever they learn, here and now
will not matter. I’ll be gone...”
