Chap 4 Dragon Circle

Cobra had the attention of all the mages of Fairy Tail. “The maker of the dragon lacrima is a man named Zeus Crimson. He believes that the power of dragons is meant to exist in this world he’s made it his goal to keep dragon magic in this world. He’s a skilled wizard even Brain was afraid of confrontation with him.”

“Can you take us there?” Gray asked.

“Yeah I can…” Cobra said and got up. “I’ll need some clothes, and we’ll need a way to get their fast.”

“Why should we trust you?” Gajeel growled. “You were Salamander’s enemy, how do we know you won’t betray us to save your own skin.”

“I could ask the same of you, but the ice wizard’s right I own Natsu a debt, and if you all want to jump in the line of fire I’m not gonna stop you.” Cobra said and Mira got Cobra a robe to put on, it had the fairy tail guilds mark on it.

Gray was the first to volunteer to go, then Elfman agreed to go. Juvia arrived and agreed to join only because Gray was going. Laxus decided to oversee the mission and Freed and Bickslow agreed to assist Laxus on the way, the opportunity to become dragon slayers was just a possibility. Erza was going but she was more as the driver with her magic car.

Gajeel wanted to go, but Mira forbade it, he was already a dragon slayer he needed to stay and help look after Natsu, in case of another attack. Gajeel obeyed and stayed behind.

They pooled into Erza’s car and Erza turned up the juice and they flew off. Laxus and Cobra were sick but everyone was with Erza’s driving.

Meanwhile…

Dalma and Magnus arrived at Zeus’s doorstep. Zeus was a tall man standing at 7′ 5″ He had long wavy white hair that reached down to his knees, he was clean shaven and he had a healthy young look on his face. He had emerald green eyes and was decently muscled. He held a wooden staff that had a small what appeared to be a dragon’s egg at the top.

“What can I help you with?”

Dalma smirked. He pointed the palm of his hand at Zeus. “Maker of the Dragon lacrima. Die!” He made a slice motion with his hand and an invisible force struck at Zeus. It hit a barrier but it sent a deep slash into Zeus’s house.

Magnus rushed and tried to punch the older man. He flipped his staff and stopped his fist with the wooden staff. “You are dragon hunters. I have met your kind before and you will not win.”

“We shall see!” Powerful blast from Dalma made a massive explosion and Zeus stepped out of the smoke unharmed.

Zeus set his staff down and flexed his muscles taking a deep breath.

The Fairy Tail wizards arrived just as Zeus began to take them on in hand to hand combat. His fist cracked the earth, each step built up great pressure that could be felt for miles. Zeus was not just a maker of lacrima he was a skilled fighter who turned his own magical power into great force. Magnus and Dalma were greatly outmatched in terms of physical strength.

“This is the maker of Dragon Lacrima?!” Gray said in wonder.

“Yep that’s him now you see why Brain didn’t want to fight this guy, and to tell you the truth I don’t think he’s even being serious right now.” Cobra said in awe.

The fight continued and Zeus broke Magnus’s chains with his bare hands. He thrusts his fists out and the force knocked the two men back.

“Leave and tell your boss he owes me a new house.” Zeus went over and took up his staff. Dalma growled.

“You old fool!” His hand radiated dark energy. “Voodoo Curse: Curse Claw.” He sent a massive claw made of dark magic at Zeus. Zeus grabbed his staff and the egg glowed.

“Guardian Wings!” 6 dragon wings shielded Zues’s body. The curse was ripped apart and Zeus glared at them. “You asked for this feel the power of dragons. Dragon Circle!”

‘Dragon of Diamonds, Dragon of Earth, Dragon of Magma, Dragon of the Ice, Lend me your voice!’ A magic circle appeared around the egg. He sent out a barrage of diamond shards. Magnus and Dalma jumped into the air to avoid the attack, Next Zeus split the earth making a vast crevice, a pillar of magma rose up and consumed the two dragon hunters, Zeus than used ice dragon magic to freeze the pillar of magma.

All four powers fused into one massive force. “Dragon Circle Roar!” He released the force as one massive roar attack, it blew away the massive pillar and the two hunters along with it. He wasn’t able to destroy them and he knew they may be back.

The team from fairy tail came down. “Master Zeus are you alright?” Erza asked.

“Yes yes, I am fine, and I see two dragon slayers are with you.” He pointed the egg at them, the egg sparked when pointed at Laxus and it radiated poison when pointed at Cobra. “You two bear some of the lacrima I made, and judging by the dragon hunters I take it you know some dragon slayers.”

“Yes we do, our friend the fire dragon slayer was wounded by one of them.” Gray said, and he stepped up. “I want to become a dragon slayer!” Gray said sternly.

Zeus’s eyes flashed and he smiled at them. “So you want to join the dragon family? Do you all feel that way?” Zeus received nods and he chuckled. “That’s wonderful!”

They were led into the remains of Zeus’s house, he lifted up a door from the floor and led them down into his work shop. “I have to ask why do you do what you do? Did you want to replace the first gen dragon slayers?” Cobra asked.

“Replace them? Oh dear boy no. I wanted to give people a chance to share in the power of dragons.” Zeus said. “The loss of dragons, not just the ones who vanished but those who died; I wanted to bring the power of dragons back to the world. People call them second gen dragon slayers or false dragon slayers or even faux dragon slayers, but those who bear these lacrima are dragon slayers not stronger or weaker than those taught by dragons, but ones to stand together as equals as dragons stood together once.”

The work shop was a large room with various magical circles and runes all across the walls floor and ceiling. “I can see the unique design of your magic, and I can find the perfect dragon’s power that will suit you however the process of becoming a dragon slayer through lacrima is a quite painful process.”

Laxus and Cobra nodded their heads, but this fact did not deter anyone. “Alright let’s begin.”

Gray’s lacrima was that of the Ice Dragon. The lacrima was covered in magic and it forced its way inside him. Gray screamed but in his mind he could see a dragon. It had a pale blue underbelly and dark blue scales, it has massive claws and sharp teeth, its breath was a cold white. Spreading his massive wings that seemed to rain hail with each flap it roared freezing everything around

Elfman’s lacrima was that of the Earth Dragon. Like Gray’s the lacrima was coated in magic and it pushed its way into Elfman’s body. The muscle man was brought to his knees in pain. In his mind he saw a massive dragon with no wings. It’s scales were a light brown color, it had massive jaws and big claws he also had spines on his body. Elfman saw it dive underground and move through the earth like it was swimming.

Juvia was next she got the Water Dragon lacrima. When it passed into her she could hardly keep her form, she was writhing in pain. Her dragon was a aqua colored dragon with a long neck and a narrow snout, instead of claws it had massive flippers. It had a massive shark fin that had the power to split a cotenant in two. In water the dragon appeared to vanish.

Freed attained the power of the Star Dragon. Freed tried to contain his scream as the image of a gold scaled dragon appeared in his mind. It soared through the stars with brilliant wings, it had no hind legs just a massive long coil tail. It made new stars and devoured old stars it was a beautiful creature.

Evergreen received her lacrima of the Diamond Dragon. Her dragon was a beautiful dragon which scales shined like diamonds, it had a diamond fin running down her back reaching a diamond like mace on her tail.

Bickslow received the lacrima for the Soul Dragon. The dragon had no scales or skin, it was completely made of bones, Bickslow could see with his special eyes the many souls inside it that it was using souls to stay alive and move, but he also saw souls following it as it flew, it was ferrying souls to the other side.

Last was Erza who didn’t intend on getting a dragon lacrima, but the offer for her perfect match was to good. She gained the lacrima for the Blood Dragon. Erza withstood the pain and she witnessed the dragon. It was a blood red dragon it had two teeth that were longer than the others. The dragon had high regenerative properties as Erza could see.

“The birth of new dragon slayers brings a tear to my eye.” Zeus said and wiped away a tear.

Fic History: Born from a theory i had on how dragon lacrima was made. I picked dragons that’d fit the mage went through a lot of various ideas but settled on those, tried to think up forms for each dragon.
