Hiya guys! 1: oo am in here and I wonder why I do crazy stuff like fan fiction... Anyways, on with a new chapter! Hope you like it ^^. I'll post soon ;)

Pd- Gon and Killua share a room, just like they did when they were in the hunter-exam's ship on the anime... And just like they did back there, they moved their beds together (or share one big bed? Too lazy to go and check now). Anyways, enjoy ;)

Chapter 4: x Chocolate Tickles x

Same day, later in the Evening.

Gon and Killua's Room

NGGh!

Killua awoke with a start.

He looked wildly everywhere.

"Uh? Hiyaaa Killu... You slept well?" Gon said sleepily

Killua recognized his room and the boy so, so near him. It was 6 pm or something given the light. He'd been sleeping over one of Gon's arms. Tired he pondered if it was bad to lean there. But since he'd been doing so for the past hours unconsciously without Gon complaining he decided he didn't care. He still felt awfully tired as if his nap hadn't helped him shake the prevailing malaise.

"I napped brilliantly. You?" He leaned again.

"Mmmm" Gon hummed sleepily.

"How's… your arm?"The albino inquired softly half lulling himself into slumber…

"If I tell you "numb" you'll move?" Gon repeated in the same sleepy voice.

"Sure"

"Then not numb. Now sssshhhh lets sleep a little loongeer"

Killua closed his eyes feeling the warmth of a ray of light on his bare legs.

They stayed sleepily like that for some moments...when suddenly Killua lifted his head alarmed.

"Hey" Killua sniffed the air. "Wait" He looked suspiciously at Gon and sniffed him carefully.

"You smell like chocolate" He pronounced serious

"God! You are impossible!" Gon protested

"You do smell like chocolate! Am I wrong?"

"...well..."

"So you DID eat chocolate! How could you! Without ME!" Killua took a hand to his chest with a hurt look "you-ate-OH GOD was it while I was sleeping? No, don't say it, I rather not know- TELL ME! Was it while I slept? You lying fiend!" The albino accused Gon with a hard poking finger to his forehead.

"STOP IIIT! Didn't you had too much chocolate for lunch and that's why you had a nap?"

"I always want chocolate" feigned annoyance.

Actually he hadn't had lunch or chocolate at all... Now, at 6:10 pm, his appetite finally had returned. He deserved some sweets, didn't he?

Gon smiled patiently "I did have lunch, here in the room. But I haven't eaten a single chocolate for your information dumbass. "

"Oh..."

I'm such a geek when it comes to chocolate- he thought ashamed. "Err… then I'm wrong?"

"No. You see, I do have some hidden in my pockets" Gon beamed "While you slept I went to stash myself with chocolates from the reception, to give some to you when you woke up. It was supposed to be a surprise of the sort, but you're a chocolate-terminator with super chocolate radar" Gon pointed amazed.

"Well yeaaaah. I'm a total choco-robot" Killua said serious. "AND I WANT CHOCOLATE" demanding voice.

Gon exhaled smiling. The boy appeared to be his usual self. His trail of thought was cut as Gon was viciously attacked for chocolate.

The tanned boy tried to repress his giggles as he tried to fight back with strength- he would not be ticklish! No! No! Fail...

The motion pained Killua but he hid the badly bruised wrist.

Killua realized he'd totally forgotten about the whole incident. With the two things he loved the most a meter away from him, it wasn't hard to get distracted.

Gon continued to laugh madly as he was cruelly tickled- (stop, STOP, STOP!) Until he finally gave away chocolates and candy.

Killua, now hovering over him gave him an intensely smug look. His fingers twirled a chocolate candy. In a cat grin he unwrapped it immediately and tossed it into his mouth. Gon couldn't help the warmth that crept to his cheeks as the ex assassin threw himself to the bed on his back, triumphant.

Killua closed his eyes, now devotedly concentrated on tasting the chocolate in his mouth with delicacy. The savoring augmented by his hunger. He was freaking starving!

Without knowing, Gon like a voyeur watched him curious. Killua pouted an extended his hand.

"Mooooooore"

Gon gave him another one, still curious. He had difficulty grasping how a person could have his personals highs on solely chocolate. Killua closed his eyes, tasting the little bonbon with delectation. He looked at Gon from the corner of his eye:

"I promised a trip on boat to the islands nearby"

"You mean it? You want to go out?"

"Yup"

"WOHOOOOO!"

Killua snapped his fingers for another candy and Gon tossed him one as the albino spoke "what do you want to do Gon?" But then his brow creased... "Oh but wait. Maybe it's too late in the evening to plan anything..." he added troubled incorporating.

As he sat, he tucked his sleeve so the bruise on his wrist would not be seen by his best friend.

Gon lifted his finger "I heard the captain say that when the moon comes out, there are some tiny tiny fishes that sparkle in the dark on the nearby island. I guess they're kind of fluorescent" Gon eyes lit with curiosity.

"That island is the one that's close to Pandora village?" the albino asked.

"Yeah! That one! And we could go to Pandora too!" Gon jumped out of bed.

"No... I think we'll have to visit the village another day. We don't have much of the day left thanks to my nap¬¬" Killua said annoyed.

But then he gave a tilted smiled to Gon "But let's get out; I truly want to see the fish you talk about. We do have time for that; I don't care how late we return"

Yeah, Gon's contagious enthusiasm was catching with him. Killua inwardly smiled.

Suddenly he felt ...like the normal kid that he wanted desperately to be at the moment. He'd do whatever only to leave the ship right now.

He saw Gon's enthusiasm rise as they prepared each backpack. He was positively ought to be a good omen that all was going to be fine… As Killua gave him his back to do his own preparations, he lifted his head in realization.

"Hey Gon, you can eat chocolate too, you know"

"But it's unfair, I had lunch"

"...Don't make me regret the offer. It won't happen again"

He could practically see Gon's "YEI!" face without checking. Gon then tossed him a chocolate and Killua caught it one handed without turning to look. The tanned boy then unwrapped a candy for himself.

Someone watching them from the window would have surprised himself thinking "what a terrific team they make..."

But the one really observing them was thinking something probably laced in clovers and hearts.

23:30 pm

"But how come those fish have light inside?" Gon was extremely befuddled.

A little boat could be seen barely into the night, at the horizon, with two kids returning.

"I mean... they don't have any metal guts do they? And yet I could use them as a lamp, bright as they were! We saw that in a Big Bang Theory episode, remember? Where Sheldon invented a lamp with fish alike the ones we saw... but I never believed it to be possible!" Gon seemed extremely disconcerted.

Killua grinned staring at the darkness. Remembering Gon's face in front of the fish, each one lit in a different fluorescent color…

Priceless. For everything else you got a Huntercard.

He tried to explain. "I think its chemicals inside them that react and light up. It's like those bracelets they give you at adult parties" Gon looked lost- ok, bad example... "Or...err...like glow worms! You've never seen glow worms back at Whale Island?"

"Oh definitely! But I thought those glowed because of a nice story Mitosan used to tell me" Gon smiled cutely

"A kid's story? Everyone knows kid's stories are false!" Killua mocked cruelly.

"NO! Not true!" Gon suddenly felt very angry

"Yep, they are"

"You didn't have a childhood, how would you really know?" he raised his head defiant.

"Touché!" Killua laughed "But I played a trillion video games when you had never heard the word play station. That's ought to count"

"But were you told ever a fake kid story when little?"

"Have you ever played mortal kombat?"

"Yeah, with you, at Aunt Mito's"

"Oh…right- Well, that doesn't make any of those stories any more real"

Suddenly Killua felt something smelly hit him on the head and fall into the water.

"Hey! You threw me a fish! And the fish I caught! With all my effort and-"

Another fish hit him on the head.

"He he he" Gon giggled

"Hey stop it! IT'S COLD AND SMELLY!"

"This time I threw you the one I caught so we'd be even." Gon was happy to explain. He knew Killua was uneasy around fish. Something to do with their eyes.

"How you throwing me fish could possibly be fair?"

Gon laughed heartily.

But then Killua could tell his friend had lost himself in thought, a smelly fish in his hand, "It seems those stories are important to me. They remind me of Whale Island and Gonta and Aunt Mito".

Killua stood quiet some seconds..."I know they are" the silver haired boy tilted his head and the waning moon flecked some of the silver strands. "That's why I tease you" he said with warm eyes.

Gon was lost in them for a second. As he suddenly let out smiling..."When they told me about my father, and a world habited by Hunters, with strange beasts and adventures... that did sound like a children story too" he beamed gently. "I'll tell you the glowworm story someday" he was beaming at who knows what memory.

Killua seemed entranced. On Gon's eyes danced the faint light of a lamp they'd been carrying…

"I want to hear it now… I bet it's an awesome story" an ex-assassin's voice was now bright.

"Besides it'd be the first kid story they'd ever tell me!"

"Yeah! Sure, it starts like-"

"GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOON!"

"KILLUAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA"

They heard callings from the main ship.

"WE'RE HEEERE!" both screamed back

"It's them, god, it's them!" they could hear Kurapica exclaim.

"YOU LITTLE BASTARDS!" Leorio was mad "For GIN'S SAKE WHERE WERE YOU? We were worried to death!" he cried like a mother hen.

"Killu we're in trouble" Gon whispered

By that time, they'd already approached the ship and were able to climb to the deck, which both did easily. A really mad Leorio and a resigned Kurapica awaited them.

"YOUUUUUUU! YOU CAN'T JUST LEAVE TO SAIL! You go, yeah, like two little stupid…GIRLS that go out to a stupid PARTY. Don't you THINK- WHAT IF a STORM COMES AND DROWNS YOU or I don't know PIRATEES TAKE YOU AND CHOP YOU TO PIECES! YOU FOOLS!" Leorio screamed

Killua murmured to Gon "Well he definitely looks like the one who's going to chop us to pie-

"YOOUU" Leorio grabbed Killua by the collar of his shirt and lifted him.

Hands.

Killua stopped breathing. He felt dead.

All color left his face.

"Leorio leave him! Poor kid you scared him!" Kurapica went and took Killua back from Leorio's grasp.

"You really believe he's scared? Come on Kurapica, its Killua! He's just playing innocent!" They continued to babble.

Killua tried to gather his thoughts but could not think the right way... he tried to follow the conversation but lost himself… he felt bad again, he was again near- No. Close it. Don't think of this, it's not the right time, protect Gon and close it but suddenly he felt so much colder, at that so-real threat, he tried to close it up yet again, that ominous sinking feeling, the dark eyes-

"Killua snap out!" Kurapica had been standing in front of him and waved a hand in front of his face. He'd been frozen.

"Uh?" he blinked to find Gon and the blond observing him concerned. "Heh" The boy pushed a strand of hair away from his face on reflex. Kurapica suddenly frowned and asked

"Killua, what happened to your wrist?" He gently took Killua's hand in his. He had a large bruise, and bad swelling, a beautiful trail left of what was once a dislocated wrist, hours before.

Gon looked down. He'd been meaning to ask Killua... But from the way he'd tuck his sleeve it seemed that the boy did not want to answer that question, so...

"Oh, hadn't noticed at all" a skillful cool voice replied as he easily lied "it must have been while swimming with Gon"

Gon was silent. He just watched his friend with a curious expression.

"Oh I'm hungry, let's get inside" he waved but Kurapica did not let go his arm, examining the bad bruising

"It's bad. This needs ice and checking. It must be really painful. How did you hit yourself so hard?"

"See! That happens when you go out unauthorized!" Leorio claimed just as Kurapica lifted a bit more Killua's sleeve. This one snapped the hand away. Kurapica looked startled.

"Don't worry pal, doesn't hurt one bit".

"Sometimes I forget who you are, I'm sorry" the blond apologized "But I'll still bring you the ice" he added concerned. Then he looked at them both "And you both look quite tired! You should go eat inside" the Kuruta examined them critically from head to toe as Leorio still fumed away

"Yeah... I prepared dinner" Leorio murmured "but you know guys... really, don't just ran up like that, we really do care for you-"

Suddenly Gon ran to Leorio and hugged him for a moment "I'm sorry Leorio-san! Thank you for worrying about us!" he said with the sweetest smile. Killua added, scratching his head "yeah, buddy. Really sorry... we did not think-"

"But you're not our parents"

Gon had stated simply, his eyes smiling at Leorio.

There was a dead on silence as all of them looked at Gon.

Leorio finally stuttered

"I know! But we can't...I mean... you…" …you stray kids, tell me where the hell are your parents then ah? No one is looking after you! Someone should! Leorio was out of words.

He finally concluded sighing " you….you're right but…you still should tell us where you go so we know where you are if something happens. Aren't we a team?" he asked

"You're right" Gon approved. "We are a team! We'll warn you next time we're out until too late or if we're up to something." Gon promised "You could come along! Tomorrow we're going to Pandora" he said sweetly.

"Oh, no, tomorrow we're going to see the fluorescent fish the captain talks about" Kurapica pointed out interested

"We JUST saw those! They're AA-MA-ZING" Gon jumped up and down

"Come on, I got dinner, I bet you'll like it" The Kuruta smiled at the group as he inwardly sighed with patience. This group had serious ADD problems.

They all went chattering to the kitchen of the ship to eat with the rest of their friends on board.

Gon could not stop talking about how he'd seen the magic fish and what with the beautiful scenery, the colored birds and the white sands and the fluorescent fish again. He put an arm over Killua and walked him inside while laughing at one of the stories he was telling.

He couldn't help noticing...Illumi was nowhere on sight. Killua felt some hope and tried to chatter, he was an expert. He just needed time to think. But that was for late night ponderings.

It was all wishful thinking

He'd fallen asleep quite immediately. But it was the longest night ever. It'd been a long day, and now nightmarish dreams slowly began to mix and plague his mind. In an increasing tempo all the images blurred like a grotesque collage: beautiful light bulb fish with Sheldon's face, honey eyes and wind chimes laughter, chocolate tickles... and an iron grasp along two obsidian dark dark dark eyes... the sense that he couldn't move...a paralyzing fear...and the sense that he was falling falling...endlessly.

A/N: more of a Disclaimer: I had come up with the name 'Pandora' for the town before I saw Avatar, i swear XD. Then I was to lazy to change it. OOOOhh don't worry, I'll do a recount soon enough of what is really going on.
