CHAPTER 4: I'm afraid of losing you!!

The Combusken were singing loudly at the morning sun. It was time for everyone to wake up

—Morning, everyone! — Old man Sebastian was the first to wake up and his wife was following him closely, with a very happy face

—Good morning, daddy, mommy! — Claire said, also exiting her dorm and greeting her parents

Behind the Ampharos young lady, Nathan was standing… barely. He wasn’t accustomed to getting up so early yet

—Uuuuhnnnn… — He yawned — Well, I guess it’s time to work already. Did you sleep well?

—Everyone slept well, it seems — Sebastian said — Claire, it’s breakfast time…

—I’ll be in the kitchen. I’ll call you when all is set

—[I’ll see if she needs help] — The older Ampharos said happily. Her face was radiant and filled with joy

—Honey, you look really good today!! — The Furret man noted how happy her wife was and marveled about it

—[Oh, I don’t know… I just feel more energic now, so I’ll go and check if Claire needs help] — And then, Scarlett left.

Just seconds later, Maxima decided to show up. He didn’t look so pepped up but he still was happy for obvious reasons

—Hi, buddy! Had any pleasant dreams? — His trainer inquired

—[Yeah… whatever] — The Swampert answered, and then thought — [(Dreams? No. Pleasant? Heck, you betcha!]]

—Claire and Scarlett are in the kitchen, cooking a good meal. In the meantime, let me think a job easy enough for you, as you’re just starting.

—Yeah. Take your time, old man… I’ll go see the sheep — Nathan said — Let’s go, Maxima

After a little walking, both Trainer and Pokémon went to the corral. The sheep there were content as usual. Nothing inusual was happening…

Until…

—[HEADS UUUUUUUUUP!!!] — A slightly coarse voice yelled

—[(T-that voice!)] — Maxima thought, surprised — [(Could It be…?)]

—WATCH OUT!! — Nathan cried

Both Trainer and Pokémon stepped aside quickly, just in time to avoid a Nidoqueen that had just crash-landed

That unfortunate Poison/Ground Pokémon had swirls in her eyes, and her breathing was accelerated. It seemed that crashing into the floor from such a height really did a number in her.

—Is she okay? — Nathan prompted. Maxima was also curious about the matter, so he flipped the Poison Pin Pokémon to see her front.

And what they saw was simply shocking. Both of them screamed at the same time

—BLUE MARY!!

Yeah, there was no mistake. It was the very Nidoqueen that Nathan had known for quite a long time.

How did they recognize her? Well, there was a clear sign…

Some years before the present time from where Nathan came, he used his Nidoqueen to battle Ash’s Sceptile in a friendly match. But… the combat itself wasn’t so much friendly. Blue Mary had the upper hand most of the time, until an enraged Sceptile scored a Critical Hit with his Leaf Blade, right into Blue Mary’s abdomen, knocking her out cold and accidentally leaving a 9-inch-long scar that traveled diagonally from the bottom of that Nidoqueen’s left breast (right one when seeing her frontally) to her right kidney zone.

Maxima could never forget that day. He rushed to get some bandages and alcohol from Nathan’s backpack, and although he disinfected the wound succesfully, he overdid it with the bandages, nearly strangulating her in the stomach zone. She found difficulties at breathing then, and Maxima felt so scared… until Nathan undid the bandages and put them again in the right way.

That was Maxima’s most frustrating day ever. He discovered that although he had talent smashing other Pokémon with ease, he had absolutely zero knowledge about mending wounds. He felt unworthy of being Blue Mary’s caretaker… and to make things worse, he started looking to her as a love interest rather than a little sister or just a younger companion. And so he felt that there was no way that Blue Mary could deliver to his love. Until…

That same night, Blue Mary woke up and searched for Maxima, and when she encountered him, she showed no ill feelings and what’s more, she kissed Maxima in the cheek. Since then, Maxima recovered hope and thought that someday, he would say her how much he loves her.

Sadly, that day never came. Maxima was fearless in battle and other emergency situations, but wasn’t that bold when expressing his hidden feelings.

After Maxima found himself and his trainer warped to the Medieval Age, his worst fear was about to come true: Dying without saying her at least his goodbyes.

…

…

And now, there she was. The very same Nidoqueen that he always cherished miraculously appeared in front of him!!

But there was no time to waste. Both Maxima and Nathan rushed to old Sebastian’s Log Cabin, carrying Blue Mary to safety

—What’s going on, young’uns? — Sebastian asked

—We need help!! We found this Nidoqueen and she’s badly hurt! — Nathan screamed, nearly breaking in tears — We have to save her! I’m begging you!

—Understood! I’ll fetch some medicine! You two put her in the straw of the barnyard!

In the end, everybody’s quick actions saved Blue Mary’s life. Now, she was still injured, but out of vital risk. She just needed to rest a bit

Feeling more comfortable now, and knowing that his Poison/Ground girl would get better eventually, Nathan went back to work, guarding and observing the sheep

However, Maxima refused to leave her side. Nathan tried to convince him to stop thinking about it but Claire said it was alright and she would try to calm Maxima. In the end, Nathan agreed and left his trusty Swampert into Scarlett’s care.

Just a couple of silent minutes after seeing Nathan go to the corral, Scarlett started to show curiosity on that Nidoqueen. And so, she started asking Maxima

—[That Nidoqueen… could it be…?]

—[Yes, she is] — Maxima answered — [She is my beloved, my beautiful Blue Mary]

—[Whoa!] — Scarlett was utterly astonished, as she imagined that Blue Mary, just like Duo Lon, was estranged from Maxima when they were very young — [You’re such a lucky Pokémon, Maxima]

—[NO! I’M NOT!] — The axolotl said in a loud, sad tone — [Everytime I try to protect her, she results wounded! And when I try to help her to heal, In the end I always screw up!]

—[No… don’t be so harsh on yourself, young Swampert] — The Light Pokémon tried to calm him, but to no avail

—[I’m such a brute! I was born a natural fighter and know how to inflict a lot of damage and pain on my enemies, but… I’m so clumsy when it’s time to heal any wounds!!] — Now Maxima started to cry and shout to the sky — [Why, Arceus? WHY GIVE ME SO MUCH DESTRUCTIVE POWER AT THE EXPENSE OF HEALING CAPACITY? WHY CAN’T I TRULY HELP THOSE I LOVE?!]

*SMACK!!!*

—[Stop it, you fool!!]

Scarlett couldn’t stand seeing Maxima so sorrowful, so she slapped him in order to make him shut up. She was truly worried for him

—[Maxima… your heart and your motives are amongst the purest I have ever seen in my long life. Also, as Nathan told us, it wasn’t your fault that Blue Mary ended up hurt.]

—[Y-you think so?] — Maxima asked

—[I don’t only think so] — The Ampharos insisted — [I’m absolutely sure that you have no fault on this situation. So please, cheer up for me… cheer up for your beloved Blue Mary. The last thing she wants to see is your suffering]

Those words were the key of improving that Swampert’s mood.

—[Y-you’re right] — At last, Maxima conceded — [I must not weep any longer. She’s alive and soon, she will be active again. And she’ll tell us everything that she had to endure to get here. And…] — Now Maxima started to blush — [Maybe… we’ll live happily ever after, like in the fairytales]

—[Well done, Maxima] — The older Pokémon congratulated him — [You’re such a great guy. I’m sure that Blue Mary just feels the same way about you… maybe you’ll even marry and have some kids…]

—[It’s a bit too late for that, lady Scarlett] — The Swampert added — [Sadly, Nidoqueens cannot breed. Only Nidoran-Females have the capacity to lay eggs. Sometimes life is just not fair!!]

—[Oh, yes, you’re right… whoa]

Scarlett started to think… When a Nidoran-Female evolves, it becomes automatically barren. Last night, she was down because she also was infertile and thought that her infertility was the very reason why Sebastian stopped having sex with her. But then she realized that life was a lot more unfair with the Nidorina and Nidoqueen species.

—[I just realized…] — She spoke at last — [Maxima, tell me: If Blue Mary could give you any offspring, would you still love her?]

Maxima didn’t need to think too much.

—[Yes. I’d still love her, with or without kids] — He answered quickly — [Having offspring is not very important to me, anyway. If I had a child, then I’d do my best to care for, teach and protect it. But even without them, I can still pass my experience to any younger Pokémon via sparring or just telling my stories, whenever my trainer feels like catching a new friend]

—[I see…] — She said — [Well, I’m gladly surprised about your way of thinking things. You’re such an exemplary leader and protector]

—[Well, I’ll keep trying my best] — He said modestly

—[And also…] — Scarlett surprised Maxima by kissing the same cheek she slapped before — [You will be an excellent lover. I’m pretty sure of it] — She winked to him

—[Uuuh… thanks.] — He said, blushing.

Maxima and Scarlett kept conversating another long while and then they got some dinner. After that, they readied for some sleep.

The Swampert was about to fall asleep when, suddenly, he could hear some slight grunting coming from his “little sister”

—[Uuuhhhn…]

—[Wha-? What’s happening?]

The mudfish-like Pokémon’s sight fixated in Blue Mary. She was still in pain, but she felt that she had slept enough for the day, so she wanted to move. Luckily, Maxima stopped her

—[Blue Mary! DON’T!] — He cried, and the Nidoqueen halted her attempts to move at once — [Blue… please, you still need to rest]

—[M-M-Maxima?] — She said with a weak voice, still hurting from her wounds — [Is that you? Big brother…?]

—[Of course it’s me!] — He responded, tears falling from his eyes — [I’ve missed you so much!! Every minute and second far away from you felt like an eternity!!]

—[R-r-really?] — She was still groggy but anyway she managed to remain conscious and to marginally understand Maxima’s heartfelt words — [Why are you telling me this?]

The Water/Ground Pokémon muted a bit as he was still nervous.

—[(Grr… No! I must not remain silent! Now it’s the time to confess!!)]

But somehow, he gathered all his courage and resumed talking

—[I’m telling that because is the truth! I REALLY missed you!] — He spoke loudly, almost as if he was yelling

—[Oh, that’s so nice…] — She smiled to him — [I also did miss you. I haven’t seen you in about 3 months I guess, so it’s just natural]

—[WHAAAAT?! THREE MONTHS!?]

Maxima just screamed. Now he was utterly confused. His memory was still working well and he knew that only 2 days passed between himself and Nathan entering the time warping hole and that present day. How was it possible?

…

…

Maybe Time travelling was a LOT more complicated than it seemed.

…

And then, a Celebi appeared in front of both Ground-type Pokémon.

—[CELEBI!] — The two of them recognized her immediately

Normally it would be strange for both to recognize that very same time-travelling Pokémon at the same time, but they were clever enough to remember that it was Maxima the one that asked that Celebi to convince Blue Mary to jump into the Time Vortex, and then she bravely accepted.

—This must be quite awkward for both of you. So I came here to explain what happens

—[Yeah. Enlighten us, please] — Maxima said in the most polite tone he could speak. After all, Celebi is half Grass-Type and also a LEGENDARY Pokémon, so he preferred to keep her as an ally and not an enemy

—Okay, here goes. The time vortex near Nathan’s house is slightly unstable and unpredictable.

—[Slightly, you say?] — Blue Mary had other thoughts, obviously

—Time-travelling issues are not something to scoff at — The little greeny Pokémon said with a serious tone — We were REALLY lucky that you landed relatively near each other and with only 3 months of difference.

Both Maxima and Blue Mary swallowed a bit of saliva. That talk was deadly serious and they thought about a weird and scary possibility:

Maybe… some other teammates would be curious about their absence. That would lead them to search in the forest and possibly make them fall in the same Time Vortex. Or even worse! A completely different wormhole!! They could be transported in other times or even other faraway areas, filled with dangers of diverse types, and they weren’t thinking only about the Pokémon.

They would feel scared, lonely and starved. Most probably they would die in those terrible environments. Most of Nathan’s Pokémon knew some basic survival skills but even then, that knowledge could prove insufficient.

…

Anyway, Celebi could read the minds of both blue-colored Pokémon, so she decided to break the silence and share some of her wisdom on them.

—Please, don’t be alarmed — She spoke with a soothing voice — us, the Celebi, are already aware of that scenario. And if a friend of yours were to be on a delicate situation, we can bend time and space a bit, and so we can save it

Blue Mary and Maxima sighed with relief. They knew that the Celebi were more than willing to help anyone of their team.

—OK, now you’re calmer. Nice — She smiled to them, also relieved — Now, Maxima-kun… I sense that Blue Mary has a hard time remembering what happened to her in your absence.

The Swampert looked at the Pokémon he considered his “little sister”. When Celebi mentioned that last sentences, she became a little sad and looked away a bit.

—[(Blue Mary… what could possibly happen to you in those three months?)]

—I’m going to tell you everything, Maxima-kun. But please, don’t be too shocked

—[Fine. Spill the beans already] — He said

…

And so, Celebi told everything. Blue Mary was lost in the woods and then captured by a wandering circus. As she was not dexterous, she became unpopular and their “owners” mistreated her often, lashing her, hitting her and she even was raped by a Donphan. In top of all of it, that was her first time having sex and she didn’t enjoy it at all. That fact disgusted and shocked Maxima to an unbelievable extent.

—[(Arceus!! Why the fuck did you allow her to suffer so much!?!?)] — He thought, infuriated to the people of the circus and to the heavens itselves.

After that, they knew that Blue Mary used the cannon that belonged to the “Electrode Comet”, the archetypical “Human Cannonball” counterpart of that circus, and launched herself in order to escape. And that’s why she landed in the terrain near Sebastian’s house.

Maxima was about to shout loudly but he saw Blue Mary sobbing quietly. She had a hard time remembering all the bad things she suffered in those three months. And so, Maxima decided to calm himself and focus in conforting her.

He held his little sister with a loving embrace and kissed her small horn.

—[Hush now, my dear Blue Mary…] — He had to swallow all his rage and speak in a soft tone in order to truly tranquilize her — [It’s all behind us now… you must look forward. You’ll be safe with us from now on. I promise]

—[Do you… really promise it?] — She said with teary eyes

—[Heck, I SWEAR IT!] — He responded with a powerful voice — [I don’t want to be far from you again, ever!]

—[Oooh… Maxima] — Blue Mary gave him a firm hug — [I don’t want it either! I want to be close to you! Now and forever…]

The Nidoqueen was speaking in a sweet and nearly submissive tone. She looked at Maxima with imploring eyes and he returned that cute look with a serious one.

Somehow, he knew that Blue Mary was more than willing to be with him and remain as his little sister, his faithful follower, his pet or even his slave if he wanted to. No matter what would happen, she truly desired to be at his side

As for Celebi… she thought she’d better give that other two their space

—Well, I think I explained all I can for now. I’ll talk to you later

Somehow, Maxima started to feel a soothing warmth in his chest. This wasn’t the first time he felt that sensation, to be honest. He felt it for the first time when his trainer used the Moon Stone on her and evolved her into a Nidoqueen. Also, he felt it again when she finally recovered from the wound sustained in that combat versus Ash’s Sceptile.

After giving it some thought, he realized that the feeling itself was a signal. A reminder to tell Blue Mary his true feelings about her before something terrible happens. Both of them had suffered enough until they last met, and were fearful of losing each other once again.

This time, Maxima threw away all of its timidity and spoke, catching Blue Mary’s attention

—[Blue Mary…]

—[Yes?]

—[I have something important to tell to you… please, hear me out] — He was deadly serious in his speech, so Blue Mary decided to keep her ears peeled

—[Understood. Please go on]

—[Well… ever since you came to our family, I started to like you… you were such an adorable little Nidoran Female back then. And then, both Duo Lon and I swore that we would do anything to protect you from harm]

—[Whoa. Really?] — In the very bottom of her heart, Blue Mary always felt somehow safe when she was along Duo Lon and Maxima. But she didn’t think that those two would take their tasks so seriously

—[Yes. And so, we watched you grow. First, into a cute Nidorina… and later, well… into the sexy Nidoqueen I have in front of me!]

It took Blue Mary a couple of seconds to realize that his “eldest brother” called her sexy. And when she did, she blushed heavily and her heart rhythm accelerated.

—[(W-what’s the meaning of this?)] — She said to herself

—[In all the time we spent together, I was unable to tell you how much important are you for me… in a way even greater than a normal sibling relation]

She was utterly surprised at Maxima’s declaration

—[When I saw you landing so hard on the ground this morning, I felt my heart started to crack… every second you struggled for your life, my very foundations were crumbling. In my inside, I was slowly disinflating, losing my breath, like a poorly made souffle]

—[Wow…] — That was all what Blue Mary could say to respond to Maxima’s heartfelt words

—[But luckily, you’re alive and well] — Maxima continued as he put his hands on the arms of the Nidoqueen — [And I sincerely hope that you continue to be alright… I implore Arceus to make it happen every day!]

—[Maxima, you’re scaring me!] — She started to worry about the tone that Maxima used to express himself — [You’re talking like you’re going to die soon!]

—[Oh…]

Maxima looked into the worried eyes of Blue Mary and then understood that he was exaggerating a bit…

—[Forgive me, Blue Mary] — He calmed down a bit — [It’s just… I’m not good at speaking about my deepest feelings. So… I’ll be blunt and go to the point]

The Poison/Ground-typed Pokémon nodded and listened carefully to her Water/Ground-typed companion

—[I’M JUST AFRAID TO LOSE YOU! BECAUSE I’M IN LOVE WITH YOU!!]

Maxima’s face became redder than a Scizor’s plated exo-skeleton as he finally shouted his feelings out. The Nidoqueen just gasped in surprise. And from the ceiling of the barn, the little Celebi was watching and chuckling silently…

That’s right. No smut in this chapter. This was a more romantic one.

But have no fear! Because the next chapter will have the XXX material you’re longing for… you little fappers xD...
