Disclaimer: I don't own Heaven's Lost Property or any of the characters (save any OCs I bring in). This does have romance in it, and it may get rated R, so be warned. There IS some swearing in this story, so beware of that. Remember that the Heaven's Lost Property series was designed for kids, so they made sure no swearing made it into the show. This author is more realistic though. I sincerely doubt that when one of his Angeloids were hurt, Tomoki would just get angry, it is this author's belief he'd be infuriated.

Much like the previous chapter, yet another Angeloid makes her debut in this chapter (nearer to the end) and chapter five will promise to be an incredible chapter for our heroes.

Also my own variation of a character shown in the anime makes an appearance in this episode. This character will remain until the end of Chapter six so look for her until then and she will even show up in future chapters occasionally. She will also be the one attending school instead of Tomoki.

My thanks to my readers who have been so patient about this story and the length of delays on the project. I do promise that all the chapters will eventually be uploaded.

As a final note for this chapter, I have actually done a modification of the first chapter. The Cherry Tree was in bloom originally in chapter one, however due to chapter four and five, it does not fit in time wise with the length of time that has passed. Thus, I have changed it to show that the Tree still had leaves, yet was not in bloom, making the season mid-late autumn (just before the tree loses its leaves in chapter one). This fits better with the time-frame of the story. The reason for this change is the timing of Astrea's arrival and the fact that I originally planned for her to arrive in summer, however due to another incident, it fits better for them to have met in the autumn and for Astrea to show up early Winter.

I'd like to apologize for the length of this chapter, it is longer than the others, but I couldn't find a natural breaking point and felt this was the best method.

Chapter 4: Enter Asuka Kichirachi

Tomoki's eyes surveyed the countryside where he had grown up. The rolling hills, the cherry tree that was four hundred years old on top of the hill, even the farmers that were taking care of their land. He stared carefully and clenched his fist and said, "Whatever comes, I must protect the ones I care about." He slowly turned around and his normally kind eyes were determined and still partially bloodshot from his nightmare. He walked past the three Angeloids and said, "Sohara, I want you to make certain these three remain with you at all times, especially Ikaros. You know my Angeloid, she is a combat model, which means she would do anything to protect us. I don't want to lose anyone."

Sohara nodded and asked, "What about the girls who hurt you?"

Tomoki said, "I still need a few days rest, but I should be fine. The ribs will take a bit longer to heal, but thanks to that winged girl from my dream, my arm doesn't hurt. It is almost like it was not broken at all."

Nymph's scanners began to scan his body and said, "It is true, the broken arm is no longer broken. We may as well take advantage of this knowledge. If that girl is coming, then she will not expect Tomoki to be back to full strength in a few days."

Sohara ran to the calendar and said, "Hey, your birthday is coming up in two weeks Tomo, have you decided what to do about a party?"

Tomoki said, "I haven't given it much thought, too much has been happening."

Sohara asked, "What do you Angeloids want to do?"

Ikaros asked, "What is a birthday?"

Tomoki blinked, then turned to Nymph, "Don't Angeloids have birthdays?"

Nymph blinked then asked, "A what? If you mean the day we awoke, it has been so long that I do not know the exact day, I doubt Delta remembers and Ikaros was around far before I was awoke."

Tomoki stroked her hair out of her eyes then rubbed the top of her head and said, "Then I will have a nice surprise for all three of you." He stopped and looked at Astrea and said, "As for you, I want you to remain with these three at all times. I may not be your master, so I cannot order you to do so, but for my sake of mind please do it. If you do it, I will actually grant you that battle if you truly wish to do it for yourself."

Astrea said, "I will hold you to that."

Tomoki then looked at Nymph and Ikaros and said, "Would you two wait outside with Astrea, I need to speak to Sohara alone."

Ikaros said, "Very well master, come along Astrea."

Astrea said, "Yeah yeah, I'm coming already, it's a shame we never got to eat that great food of Sohara's a few days ago. With everything that went on, it all went bad on the stove." She went downstairs with the other two Angeloids and began to clean up the spoiled food.

While they did this, Sohara turned to Tomoki and asked, "What is going on?"

Tomoki answered, "I don't fully know, but one thing is for certain, that girl will be coming for us all. As such, I wish to ask for Ikaros to create a device to turn me into a girl."

Sohara's eyes widened and she hissed, "Why would you want to be a girl?"

Tomoki answered, "Simply put, that girl is looking for me, not a girl. If I have Ikaros or Nymph transform me into one via one of those cards, I can blend in better, that and the other girls may not be cruel to me."

Sohara asked, "You sure this is not an excuse just to change with the girls and peep?"

Tomoki answered, "I'm serious Sohara. If I have to change with the girls and act like a girl, I will. I cannot promise I won't look around while changing, but tell me, do you girls never look around while changing?"

Sohara flushed then said, "Well, I can't say we never look around, but we wouldn't look around as much as a boy would."

Tomoki said, "Then let me try it, give me one day and if I mess up too much, I will have them revert the power."

Sohara said, "Fine, you're on, but you'd better not get all perverted just because you are changing with girls and spending more time with them."

Tomoki said, "You, Nymph, Astrea and Ikaros all cared for me when I was in one of my worst situations, that is something I shall never forget."

Sohara nodded and looked at him and asked, "Are you sure this is the best course of action? I mean she will still be looking for the Angeloids."

Tomoki locked eyes with his closest friend and said, "I am certain. This will grant a few surprises for this mysterious girl. I will also have Ikaros give me Angel Wings. They will be modeled after Astrea's Wings which may throw her off as well."

Sohara sighed and said, "Fine, I will get one of them, which do you want to do this with?"

Tomoki said, "Get both Ikaros and Nymph, I want both of them aware of this transformation."

Sohara thought for a moment, then placed her hand on her right hip. She asked, "What about Astrea? She would figure it out pretty fast the moment you talk to Ikaros."

Tomoki said, "That's why I will be going on a trip for a while, and this new girl will be staying with Nymph and Ikaros in my place. Astrea will be held to secrecy due to all I have done for her."

Sohara nodded and went downstairs to get the Angeloids.

A few minutes later all three Angeloids were back in his room. Astrea said, "I am not missing this, if you are trying a new sneaky trick, I want in!"

Tomoki looked at her then he turned to Nymph and Ikaros. He paused for a moment then said, "I want you to turn me into a girl...with wings modeled like Astrea's."

Nymph blinked and said, "I can NOT have just heard you right."

Astrea laughed and asked, "Are you a moron? Do you really think that will fool the Synapse?"

Tomoki said, "I won't know until I try, and if they see four Angeloids down here, they may give pause. Ikaros, can you give a false identification reading that matches a powerful Angeloid?"

Ikaros said, "It would take some doing with two cards, but yes. However, you must keep yourself under control master. If you get too excited or too much intensity occurs, the illusion could fade."

Tomoki nodded and said, "Do it, now Ikaros, that's an order!"

She held up two cards and said, "Yes master!" Both the cards shattered and Tomoki floated into the air then a blinding light surrounded him. The light grew stronger and he could feel his body changing. It took about ten minutes for the transformation to finish and when it was done, a girl with long lavender colored hair was kneeling on the ground in front of them. She had a similar build to Sohara, and when she opened her eyes, they were a brilliant violet. She slowly got up and asked, "Well did it work?" She clasped her hand to her throat, realizing she sounded exactly like a girl. She ran to a mirror and looked into it and said, "Good job Ikaros. Please bring Sohara here."

Ikaros bowed and said, "Yes Master!"

The girl held up her hand, "You must not call me that in this form, Sohara shall grant me a name and when she does, you must call me by that name. No one must know that I am still your master in this form, is that clear?"

Ikaros nodded and said, "Yes...Mas...I mean yes, I shall go get Sohara immediately." She left and went downstairs to bring Sohara up.

Nymph scanned her and said, "Let loose your wings, I need to test something."

The girl took off her shirt and let her wings come out. They were a brilliant white and looked very similar to Astrea's wings. She then covered her chest up and said, "I will need a uniform from the girl's type, which is where Sohara is going to come in. She has a lot of sets of the uniform, so I will ask her for three of them. We will prepare slots for the wings."

Nymph nodded as Sohara walked in.

Sohara froze when she saw Tomoki, "Is...is that you? Wow...just wow." She kept Sugata out and said, "Ikaros, you do great work." She walked around Tomoki and said, "Why do you have the same build as me?"

Tomoki answered, "Simply put, I figured that if I were to be a girl, I may as well be a cute one. Besides, it would make what I'm about to ask easier. I need to get a few girls' uniforms. It would be a dead giveaway if I walk in wearing men's uniforms."

Sohara clenched her fist, "You are NOT getting my panties or bras Tomoki!"

Tomoki held up his hand and said, "I know that, I want you to take me to pick out some of my own. I know this is a strange request, but would you?"

Sohara sighed and said, "Guess I have no choice, first we need to have you wear something to go out in public in."

Ikaros held out a card and Tomoki was dressed in a simple shirt and pants. Sohara said, "We will go to my house and pick up a uniform for today and I will have modify it using one of those cards." She picked up a card and led Tomoki out of the house and to her house.

Her mother answered the door and was startled to see a girl with wings beside her daughter. Sohara asked, "Mom, could you let Asuka in please? She's a new friend of mine and she is staying at Tomoki's house for a while. Tomoki had to leave on a trip, something about his grandmother, but he didn't want his house to be left alone."

Her mother asked, "What about those three girls with wings staying there?"

Asuka answered, "Tomoki left instructions for them to be cared for. With firsthand knowledge of cooking and cleaning as well as keeping an eye on other people, I was a natural choice. I knew him from his short stay in Tokyo."

Her mother said, "Oh that's right, his family stayed in Tokyo for a year when he was five years old. He came back when he was six and started spending time with Sohara. He did mention a friend he had made, but only a few times. You must have been who he meant. Wait, why do you have Wings as well?"

She said, "Much like the winged girls that are staying at Tomo's house, I came from where they lived. I was actually abandoned in Tokyo and my mother and father found me on their doorstep. They took me in and raised me as their own, wings and all. For that, I will always have their eternal gratitude."

She smiled then said, "Well, any friend of Tomo's or my daughter is a friend of mine. Come in, don't get cold in this weather."

Sohara said, "She asked me to loan her one of my uniforms until she can get some from the school."

Her mother smiled then said, "Wait here, I shall get one and make modifications for those wings of yours. They are small aren't they?"

Asuka said "They can grow, but the entry point into the back only grows be two or three inches."

Her mother got a uniform from the closet and said, "So about four or five inch slits in the back right?" She began to make cuts and carefully sewed the edges until it was a good match.

Asuka took the uniform into the bathroom and stripped. She admired herself in the mirror for a few moments before she turned her attention to the uniform and tried it on. It fit perfectly and her wings went through with ease. She sighed in relief then stepped out.

Sohara said, "Mom, I'm going to take her out to get her some new socks, shoes and undergarments. It was a last minute trip, so she forgot to pack any of her own."

Her mother said, "That would be wise, Tomoki is a nice boy, but a pervert."

Sohara said, "Mom! Quit that already, I keep telling you that he hasn't done that in a while!"

She laughed then said, "Sorry sweetheart, but with how often you talk about him, I'd swear he was your boyfriend or something."

Sohara turned a brighter shade of red than Tomoki had seen on her and said, "M-MOM, you promised to not bring that up in front of others!"

Asuka laughed softly and said, "It is quite alright Mitsuki-Chan, I am used to talk like this from my mother."

Sohara turned to her and said, "Call me Sohara, there are no pretenses between myself and Tomoki's friends."

Asuka said, "Yes Sohara, well then Mitsuki-San, we will be going now, thank you for your help."

The two left, holding hands and her mother watched them with curious interest.

Ikaros watched as her master left with Sohara and asked, "Is...this strange for any of you?"

Sugata said, "Tomoki has always tried interesting things in the time I have known him. This is a little different, but I get the feeling there is more to this disguise than just wanting to look and act like a girl. I think he genuinely is doing this to help all three of you, yes even you Astrea."

Astrea watched and placed her hand on the glass, "Why...why is he doing this for me? I am trying to kill him, that is something I will never understand. If I did die at the hands of an Angeloid, he should be happy. He'd have one less enemy."

Sugata said, "He probably doesn't see you as an enemy Astrea. I, however, am less blind than him. Angeloid or not, I promise you that if Ikaros doesn't kill you, I will if you lay a hand on him."

Astrea said, "What could you possibly do?"

Sugata dashed in and placed a finger on her chest and said, "If that were a dagger, you'd be dead Astrea. You may be a master at close range combat, but if you are caught off guard, even you are helpless. As I am not an Angeloid, you also have a harder time sensing me. Trust me, if I want you dead, you will be dead, there is no question of it."

Astrea shivered at the dark edge to his voice as Sugata turned and left.

Nymph whispered, "I have learned one thing since being in this world. You should never underestimate humans. They may not have powers like us, but they are resourceful and will get things done you could never expect Delta. I would not recommend insulting him again like that."

Astrea nodded as the three awaited the return of Tomoki and Sohara.

Sohara stopped Asuka outside a store and said, "Alright, we are about to enter a girl's store. There are a lot of female accessories in here, it's time for a make over to make you look like a real girl. Do you want to get a proper haircut as well?"

Asuka looked at her hair and said, "Yes, I think that may be best, I will leave it up to you Sohara."

Sohara smiled and walked in holding Asuka's hand the entire time.

Asuka began looking around in surprise, there were a lot more types of clothes and accessories for girls than he actually thought there would be. A girl came running up and said, "Just a minute young ladies, I will be right with you." She placed a load of dresses on a rack then came racing back over to them. She wiped some sweat from her brow, "Oh it's you Sohara, in here for a nice new hairband for your hair today?"

Sohara laughed and said, "Not today Mizuki. Actually I am here for Asuka. She came from Tokyo in a rush and wanted to get some panties, bras as well as some hair accessories after getting a haircut."

Mizuki looked at her and walked around her, "She is such a cute one, where did you find her?"

Sohara said, "She is Tomoki's friend from Tokyo, and she has come to watch over his house for a while."

Mizuki said, "I love her hair color, it's so pretty, is it natural?"

Asuka, who had wisely viewed herself in the mirror before getting changed, knew that it was natural and said, "Yes it is. I love my hair color, but it is too long for my liking, is there a hair style you would recommend? Nothing too short I would hope."

Mizuki said, "Sit in the chair, I think I know just the look."

Over the next forty five minutes, Mizuki chatted with Asuka while she clipped and styled the girl's hair. By the time she was done, the hair stopped down to the apex of her waist. Mizuki then styled her hair in a french braid and tied it with a crimson ribbon in the back. She said, "Alright, take a look, tell me what you think."

Asuka looked at the mirror and said, "Wow...this is amazing, I love it! It is such a pretty style." She stood up and bowed, "Thank you very much, how much do I owe you?"

Mizuki smiled and said, "The first cut and styling is free, after that it will cost you four thousand yen each time."

Asuka said, "Very well." The three of them went over to the undergarment section and Sohara said, "I will pick out some for you."

Mizuki and Asuka waited while Sohara brought out ten nice sets and said, "Try them on in the changing room while I get your uniforms for school ready."

Asuka went into the changing room while Sohara went to the where the School Uniforms were located and asked, "Mizuki, I need a favor, I need four uniforms custom set up. I will show you her uniform and you will see exactly why very shortly." She went back and called, "Asuka, could you hand me your uniform top?" The uniform top went over the door and into Sohara's hand. She went back and showed it to Mizuki and said, "You see...I am certain you noticed that Asuka has wings. I need four more uniforms modified like this one. Can you do it?"

Mizuki took some measurements and said, "I will do that and have them ready for you by the end of the day." She saw Asuka poke her head out of the changing room, obviously wanting her uniform top back, so Sohara returned it to her. A few minutes later, Asuka came out properly dressed. The only thing she was missing was more feminine socks and the proper shoes. This was easily remedied and soon they left with four pairs of shoes, two for school use, two for outdoor use, seven pairs of socks and a receipt for the extra uniforms they were to pick up at the end of the school day. The two thanked Mizuki then left.

One hour after this, Sohara and Asuka entered Tomoki's house and Asuka paused. She said, "You know, this is the first time I have come home like this. It's a little...strange."

Sohara said, "Welcome to being a girl Asuka. Now I have helped you a lot with this, so I hope you will be proper about all of this. I should probably go over some ground rules for school behavior, especially the changing room and bathroom etiquette. First of all, Ikaros warned you about over-stimulation, so don't stare at too many girls in the changing rooms. This could cause this disguise to vanish and if that happens in the changing room..."

Asuka swallowed and said, "It would not be pretty, what is next?"

Sohara said, "In the bathroom, I shall be going into there with you, just to ensure that no one bothers you. Remember that as you are a girl, you must sit as you can not really stand and do what needs to be done."

Asuka nodded and said, "That and the proper method of cleaning oneself. Yes my mother told me all about it, she said something about it being important to teach to my children if I have a little girl some day."

Sohara sighed in relief, "At least I don't have to go into detail about that. Now how complete is this disguise? Do you have all the same situations as girls? Even the moments that girls try not...to talk about?"

Asuka nodded and said, "I would believe so, I took the liberty of picking up something for that as well. I figured if I will be in disguise as one, I should prepare as one."

Sohara smiled and said, "Good, that's another awkward topic covered. Now about the skirt. Remember when going up stairs to always cover the skirt from behind if you are going up and from the front if you are going down. I'll give you one guess why..."

Asuka said, "So boys don't stare, right?"

Sohara nodded again and said, "Well, there isn't much else I can tell you, save try to act normal and follow my lead. Let's get the Angeloid's ready then head out to school."

The two went in and Ikaros turned to look at her. She stared then said, "Is that...really her?"

Nymph said, "Wow, she's cute!"

Astrea watched Asuka walk up to her and it seemed almost as though she were...waiting for something. Astrea cleared her throat and said, "W-well, you look good. Of course you would though, you got the wings from my design after all!" She started laughing.

Asuka asked, "Does it really look okay? It needs to fool people."

Nymph said, "If I hadn't seen you transform with my own eyes, I wouldn't have believed you were Tomoki before this."

Asuka smiled then said, "Alright Angeloids, get dressed in the uniforms, you as well Astrea. All three of you are joining school with us until the Christmas holiday and after that as well."

Ikaros asked, "Are you going to go back to your normal self at some point?"

Asuka said, "Of course I will Ikaros, however I want you to save this form into the transformation, because there may be times I need to change back to this form."

Ikaros nodded and said, "Yes...oh what do we call you now?"

Asuka said, "Asuka Kichirachi. Speaking of that, I need you to send these four letters via transportation to the principal's desk. They are school records and transfers of ourselves to the school. The schools that I have chosen have a Principal that knows me directly and I will be calling them and explaining the whole situation to him in the next five minutes. Get it done Ikaros, that's an order."

She bowed and transported the letters.

Asuka picked up her cell phone which was Tomoki's then froze and turned off the power. She said, "Nymph, create me a new phone that has a cell phone plan ready to go." Nymph nodded and created that and Asuka picked it up and turned it on. It was at full power and was a purple phone. She dialed the number for the school where her friend was in charge.

The Principal of the school answered his cell phone, "Kichirachi speaking."

Asuka said, "Kichirachi-San? It is me, Tomoki. I know I sound weird at the moment, but please just listen and don't speak. Do you remember how you said you'd do me a favor if I ever asked it?"

He said, "Yes...but how do I know it is really you Sakurai?"

Asuka said, "Because I still remember that one year in Tokyo where you went up to me in the playground and found me crying on the swing. I was missing my hometown, it was near the end of that year. You told me that everything was going to be just fine and that my parents had told you about my transfer back in time for school."

His eyes widened then he whispered, "What happened to you? Why do you sound like a girl?"

Asuka said, "A lot of stuff has happened since I entered school here, a little while ago, this winged girl came crashing down from the sky. Since then two other ones have joined her ranks here with me. However last night, I had a terrible nightmare akin to the ones I used to have even back then. From that dream, I felt a terrible omen coming, so with the magic from these winged girls they transformed me into a girl to stay under cover. You will find four letters on your desk in the next two minutes. If anyone calls and asks you, and they will, you are to tell them that the four students in that list are good students. Nymph is a young girl who was well behaved, but had a bit of a temper at times. Ikaros was a soft spoken girl who had a giant heart and loved watermelons even back when she was young. Astrea was a student that had a hard time learning and needs help from teachers, but is kind. She loves food and has an interesting personality and with patience she could become a good student. As for Asuka, she was a young girl with a kind heart and sharp tongue when her friends were insulted. The letters will explain it all. The grades are there as well, they are false of course, but enter them into the school registry for the previous term. This will help me out a lot as the school may do a background check. They won't go back past a term, as there is no need. You know how the system works between our schools. In case they do, there is a false trail that will lead them all the way back to the first year of school."

He said, "Understood, so I take it you are the Asuka girl?"

Asuka said, "That is correct, oh and one more thing...all four of the girls had wings. It took the students a bit of time to adjust to that, however an accident occurred with Nymph before she got transferred, causing her wings to be removed. There was no way to save them, that must be included in the report. Make it official."

He said, "I see...well I will put that all in within the next half hour, good luck Asuka." He hung up the phone.

Asuka held up four letters and told Ikaros where to warp them. The four letters appeared and then the four of them got to the door. Ikaros turned to the house and said, "We will return soon."

Astrea said, "Bye house!"

Asuka laughed then said, "Come along everyone, let's go and see how this all played out."

Sugata was waiting around the corner for them. He saw Asuka walking in the middle with Sohara on one side and Ikaros on his other side. Nymph was walking right beside Sohara and Astrea was beside Ikaros. Apparently Ikaros didn't want Astrea too close to Asuka. He called out, "Hello girls, you heading to school?"

Asuka paused then said, "Yes, you are Sugata correct?"

Sugata looked at her and said, "Yes, how do you know who I am?"

Asuka laughed then whispered, "It's me, Tomoki, how do I look?"

Sugata's jaw dropped for a split second then he recovered himself, "You look...amazing. You have a lighter hair color than Mikako, was that intentional?"

Asuka nodded and said, "I wanted a nice hair color, but I didn't want to just copy one of the Angeloids or Sohara. It was then that I remembered Mikako, but I wanted lighter hair, so I had them give me a lighter purple. I hope it turned out well."

Sugata said, "I never would have recognized you. Be careful, with a body like that, boys will be all over you."

Sohara clenched her fists, "Let them try it, I will pummel them!"

Nymph said, "Look at Sohara go, protective of Asuka, are we?"

Sohara flushed and said, "Well she is going to be a girl for a while, so I don't want any boys taking advantage. Besides, with no Tomoki in school, there won't be as much perversity around."

Asuka placed her hand on her hip, imitating what she had seen Sohara do on a number of occasions, and said, "Hey, he cut out doing that a while ago, especially after seeing how Ikaros was treated in school."

Sohara asked, "That reminds me, why did you have transcripts for Ikaros and Nymph created? I mean aren't they already in the school system?"

Asuka nodded then said, "This is true, however they were never officially entered into the sytem. They were at the school as guests, awaiting the transcripts to arrive."

Sugata said, "I see, so now you have officially created a history for them, nice job Tomoki."

Asuka wagged her finger and said, "Ah ah ah, it's Asuka now!"

Sugata tipped his glasses closer to his face and the light reflected off them before he said, "Of course Asuka."

She said, "Hey, eyes up buddy!"

Sugata looked at her eyes and said, "Sorry, its just weird seeing you like this."

Asuka placed her hands on her hips and said, "So staring at my chest is the appropriate response?"

Sohara burst out laughing and after she composed herself she said, "Oh dear lord, hearing YOU say that of all people. My god, that is funny!"

Asuka started to laugh as well and then said, "I guess you're right. Fine, stare away, but if you stare for too long, I'm sure Sohara will punish you."

The group began making their way to school and Sugata's eyes darted towards Asuka every now and then. He whispered, "You know, the boys really will be staring at you. First you are as pretty as Sohara, on top of that you have those wings. Speaking of which, do they work?"

Ikaros said, "I created the wings to work to a similar effect as my own. Asuka won't be able to fly as fast as I will, but she will be able to fly at a pretty fast pace, up to mach ten or so."

As the group entered the courtyard, the group of ten girls were waiting for them. They saw Sohara and raced over. The leader looked at her and asked, "Where is your pervert friend? Miss Pervert is alone today?"

Asuka stepped forward and said, "Do you have a problem with Sohara? She has been extremely helpful to me since my arrival yesterday. Why are you being mean to her?"

The girl said, "She hangs around with this loser named Tomoki Sakurai. He is one of the worst human beings I have ever met and always tried to peep on me and my friends."

Asuka slapped her hard and then said, "Don't speak ill of my friends, especially Tomoki! He saved my life when I was five years old, pushing me out of the way of an oncoming bus. He dove to the ground and the bus passed over him, no one was hurt luckily, but if it weren't for him, I'd be dead! So if you speak badly of him again, I will be very angry indeed!"

The girl was staggered, not only from the force of the slap, but also from the words. She gasped out then said, "I...had no idea. He didn't try to check you out?"

Asuka crossed her arms and said, "Did you ever stop and think as to why he peeped on you? Maybe it is because you were all so stuck up and picked on him throughout elementary school and the beginnings of Junior high. He kept in touch with me via letters and told me of the cruel things you girls did. I told him that he should try to let it all go and he said that he peeped on you girls to get revenge for all those times you hurt him. Then I heard about how you hospitalized him and rushed over here on the first flight I could. I saw him in his room, injured. He has been flown to Tokyo hospital for emergency treatment and is staying with his family in Tokyo for a while. Be grateful I am more forgiving than he is or I would have really hurt you for what you did to him! Peeping Tomo or not, he is still a human being. You mistreated him so terribly growing up, that if you had done it to me, I might have peeped on you myself! You call him the worst human being you have ever met? Have you ever once looked in the mirror and thought about the consequences of your actions? You are nothing but bullies and cruel people. You hurt him emotionally constantly growing up, then you physically assaulted him, terrified Nymph here, scared Sohara nearly to death and made Ikaros here want to hurt you for daring to harm him. Even Astrea over there who is not exactly his best friend was upset by your actions."

The girls took a step back, the leader almost in tears.

Asuka took a step forward, "Return to your classes, foul girls. Think long and hard about what you have wrought on yourselves for your misdeeds and evil behaviors."

The girls fled leaving Asuka breathing heavily.

Sohara whispered, "Wow...I have never seen them so moved or bothered. They never shed tears like that."

Asuka said, "I always wanted to tell them off for how they treated m...him for years now. It is only now that I have arrived that I got a chance to do so."

Nymph whispered, "You mean now that you are a girl like them."

Asuka nodded as Mikako began to walk up. She tensed immediately seeing the class president approaching. She knew that Mikako was not her enemy, but at the same time it was a love-hate relationship. She never had been able to read Mikako properly.

Mikako paused in front of Asuka and said, "Well...isn't this an interesting twist. Who is this new girlfriend of yours Sohara? Since when did you swing that way and why didn't you tell me?"

Sohara flushed and said, "She's not my girlfriend, sheesh Mikako! She is a transfer student who is taking care of Tomoki's place while he is in the hospital and visiting his family in Tokyo."

Asuka said, "Asuka Kichirachi, a pleasure to meet you miss."

Mikako said, "Please, call me Mikako, may I call you Asuka?"

She nodded and said, "That will be fine. We must head into class."

Mikako said, "Get going then, oh and Sohara, I believe that you had an locker next to yours right?"

Sohara nodded and said, "I will get her set up." The group entered and the Angeloids were walked over to a set of three lockers next to each other. They were by his locker as there were three empty ones there. They saw Asuka slip off her shoes and put them in the locker next to Sohara's and then put on a pair of her indoor shoes for school. They did the same thing with a pair of shoes that had be brought to them a couple days earlier by Sugata. Sohara said, "Alright, the four of you should head to the Principal's office, Asuka knows the way there, go there and they will assign you to my homeroom. It is all arranged in the letter, I'm sure Asuka would have arranged it that way. I will see you all soon."

Asuka whispered, "Sohara, be very careful until we arrive."

She nodded and left.

Asuka said, "Alright, let's go, I want to see more of this school that Tomoki went to for so long. He has fond memories here, and some terrifying ones." The four walked down the hall and boys froze looking at these girls, three of them with wings and one without. One boy stared at Asuka as she walked by. She smiled for a split second before she entered the Principal's office with the three Angeloids behind her.

The Secretary said, "Ahh, you must be Asuka. The Principal is expecting you, he said to be on the lookout for three girls with wings and one blue haired girl with them."

Asuka bowed then said, "Thank you Miss, I hope your day is going well." The four of them entered the Principal's office.

The Principal had just been going through their letters when the door to his office opened and four girls walked in. Three of them had wings, all of them short on their backs and one had blue hair, precisely as the letters had described. He held out chairs for each of them one after the other until they were seated in front of his desk then returned to his desk. He said, "I have been going over your letters from Principal Kichirachi. Are you related to him?"

Asuka said, "Yes, he is my father. He adopted me into his family."

The Principal frowned, "Odd, he never mentioned adopting a daughter."

Asuka said, "I asked him not to bring it up to you, I didn't want any special treatment from you, much like I expected none from him. I am a student on my own merits Sir."

He sat back and looked at them then said, "Ikaros and Nymph have been at the school before as guests, I did not know you all went to the same school for a while."

Nymph said, "We were in school together for a while, we came here earlier than Asuka, despite Ikaros begging to remain with Asuka longer. She is very close with Asuka, after all."

He said, "Well I don't see any problems here, may...I ask you Miss Nymph what the nature of your accident was?"

Nymph lowered her eyes then Asuka spoke up, "If you must know, some bullies thought her wings looked strange so they ripped them out. The bullies were expelled for the act, and the Principal had to apologize to Nymph personally for their behavior. It was swept under the rug to respect her privacy. I mean, imagine if word got out that winged girls were in various schools throughout the country?"

The principal said, "That would make things awkward with news crews and all that nonsense. Rest assured, the same privacy shall be kept here. I will bring you to your classrooms now. Speaking of classrooms, what of Astrea? It says here that she isn't...well the brightest student."

Astrea glared then her wings flared up and she said, "I may not be the brightest person in the planet, but I do enjoy the social interaction of school and I will try my hardest."

The principal looked at her wings and said, "They really are just like an Angel's wings aren't they? It even said so in the letter. My apologies if I offended you Miss Astrea, I just...am worried you will have a hard time understanding what is being taught."

Nymph said, "Don't worry, Ikaros and I shall help her. We know how to teach Astrea in a way she will understand. It won't be as advanced as the material taught in class, but for the job Astrea plans to join, she won't need that knowledge. She plans to become a chef when she graduates. Even if she doesn't understand basic math, Sohara and I will be teaching her cooking at home as much as possible. Rest assured she will have the knowledge to succeed in life."

The Principal said, "I see...well then I have no objections. I will lead you girls to class, and well done on the uniforms. Did Miss Mitsuki help you with this?"

Asuka nodded and said, "That she did, she helped us all with our uniforms. She is every bit as nice as Tomoki said she would be."

He chuckled and said, "That Tomoki, he's a troublemaker at times, but he has a good heart. He has even helped me out on a few occasions. It is why I let his antic slide as often as I do. Could you tell him something for me? Tell him to stop his shenanigans? They make the school look bad."

Asuka said, "I will pass on that message sir, shall we?"

The group went to the classroom and he said, "Wait here, I will inform the teacher and she can introduce you to the class. Be prepared, a lot of boys will be staring at you girls when you enter."

Asuka said, "That is nothing new, we are used to it. Well Astrea may not be, but the rest of us are."

Astrea whacked her upside the head, "Speak for yourself downer!"

Asuka rubbed the back of her head, "I had that coming."

The Principal smiled and said, "You four are close, I can tell, now excuse me please." He entered the classroom and closed the door behind him.

The teacher had been about to start the lesson when she saw the principal enter the room. She stopped and waited for him to come to her. When he whispered a few things to her, he turned and left and stood outside.

She smiled, "Well we have four new students joining us today. Two of them are returning from their visit as guests a while ago, and there are two brand new students. I shall introduce them to you now." She called to the hall, "Would you four come in please?"

Asuka walked in first, followed by Ikaros, then Nymph and finally Astrea. The boys watched the girls in awe. They had seen Ikaros before with her wings, but now there were three winged girls in the room and one blue haired girl. As blue hair was rare in their school and winged girls were rarer, all the boys could not stop staring.

Nymph flushed and hid a bit behind Ikaros, a bit nervous from their stares.

The teacher saw this and said, "Down boys, or I will have you all in detention so fast that your head will spin!"

The boys immediately calmed down, all not wanting to be in trouble on these girls' first day in school.

She cleared her throat, "I will re-introduce you to Ikaros. She is living at Tomoki Sakurai's house. Recently, Nymph, this blue haired girl joined his household, as did this blonde haired girl Astrea. Finally, Asuka Kichirachi has come from Tokyo to manage the household and take care of all three of them. Due to...an unfortunate incident, Tomoki has left this school. His parents have said he will not be returning to school here, but he will be coming back here to live in the house with them all.

One guy grumbled, "Lucky little bastard, living with four beautiful girls!"

The teacher stared at him, "For that little comment, you shall be having detention today. As I was saying, these girls are fairly new to this school, so I want them all to be treated with respect and decency. This especially goes for the boys who seem to be eyeing them up like candy."

Asuka said, "I look forward to getting to know all of you better. I suppose I should tell you a bit about ourselves." She looked at the teacher who nodded. Asuka picked up a chalk piece and drew on the board what appeared to be wings. She turned to the class and said, "I am certain you have all noticed that three of us have wings. Just prior to our leaving Tokyo, a group of mean boys tore Nymph's wings from her body, causing her great distress and also fear. We came from a different world than other humans. Due to reasons beyond our control, we cannot say more than that, but we are as much a part of this planet as you are. I was abandoned as a baby, and these three came down here about six years ago. Ikaros arrived in this town first and Nymph followed shortly after. Astrea came last and I will say this once...and once only. I will not tolerate anyone picking on these three or myself. If I hear about it...well let's just say it will not be pretty. I trained in a variety of martial arts while growing up and I will use that discipline to defend my friends." She looked around the class, "If any of you have apprehension about us having wings, keep it to yourselves. I don't want to hear it. We are nice people, despite looking a little different from you all."

Sohara waved, "Hello Asuka!"

Asuka smiled and said, "Hello Sohara, speaking of her, she is also one of my friends. Tomoki was also one of my friends before a group of girls viciously attacked him and got him sent to the hospital. Anyone who threatens my friends deals with me, I hope that is abundantly clear." She then cleared her throat and said, "That stated, if you are nice people, we will be happy to be your friends."

A boy said, "Don't worry, no one will do that at this school, and if those girls pick on you, we will tell them off won't be guys?"

The rest of the boys cheered and Asuka couldn't help but smile. She said, "May we take our seats now?"

The teacher said, "Of course, those three seats near Sohara's are yours and there is one to her right you may sit at Miss Kichirachi."

Asuka held up her hand, "First of all, Sensei, you may call me Asuka, I prefer a lower level of formality when being addressed. Titles and my last name are just awkward to me. Asuka will do just fine."

She sat down next to Sohara and smiled at her for a moment before pulling out her books. Ikaros, Nymph and Astrea sat down, with Nymph on Sohara's other side, Ikaros in front of Nymph and Astrea behind Nymph.

The teacher said, "Now I have a letter regarding Astrea. She is an aspiring Chef and is learning from Asuka, Nymph, Sohara and even Ikaros as to how to cook. As such she will not be going through the same curriculum as the rest of the class. I expect you all to be nice to her and help her as much as you can. Knowing the boys, they will love to try what you cook."

The boys stared at her expectantly. Astrea sighed and pulled out of her bag a large batch of cupcakes that Sohara had baked yesterday. The girl had planned to surprise the class with it later, but upon hearing about the plan, Sohara had insisted that Astrea bring them with her. She said, "Seeing as you will all not stop staring at me, I will be handing these out after class. Feel free to try one then. Until then, please refrain from staring, it is embarrassing."

The boys nodded and returned their attention to the board, well save one boy who was still checking out Asuka. She ignored him though and continued looking at the board and writing down notes. Now that she wasn't focusing on causing shenanigans with the other girls, she was actually finding it easier to focus on the work.

After the homeroom and first class was done, Asuka sighed in relief then stretched her legs. She then froze and thought, "Oh lord...Gym is next. That means that we will all be changing together." She went to Sohara and whispered, "So, while changing what should I do?"

Sohara whispered back, "Just try to change as fast as possible and get out of there. If anyone asks, tell them you are awkward being naked in front of others. Some other girls are like that as well. Nymph is especially awkward about it ever since the wings."

She was about to agree when she thought about what Nymph was going through and shook her head and said, "I cannot do that Sohara. I will go through it normally like anyone else. That way I can also be there for Nymph if she needs me." She then whispered, "I'll just try not to look around too much."

Sohara nodded and took Asuka's hand and walked out with her, the three Angeloids followed in quick pursuit.

Astrea asked, "So that was a fun class, Nymph showed me something about fruits, all I could think of was eating all of them."

Asuka laughed softly and stared at the blonde and said, "That is just like you Astrea."

She said, "Still...it is strange that my master has not contacted me in a while. Maybe he is just being patient?"

Nymph said, "We should just be grateful for that fact Astrea. I hope he never contacts you again, but I know that is hopeful thinking."

Ikaros nodded holding a watermelon that she had brought to school. She was rubbing the top of it gently with her hand as the group entered the girls changing room. Asuka blushed as she entered but Sohara held her hand and whispered, "It will be okay. Just keep yourself calm and do what you need to do. There is a locker there and I got a gym uniform for you all ready to go."

Asuka nodded then she strode purposefully next to Sohara who stopped at a locker. She tapped Asuka's locker and began to change. Asuka followed suit. She looked around at everyone around her and realized something. She whispered, "You know...this isn't really a big deal is it?"

Sohara laughed softly and said, "Not really. Trust me, after you've done this a few times, you won't even really look much. I will admit, I certainly did probably for the first couple of weeks as I was curious, but after that, it settled down and it just became a routine for me."

Asuka finished changing and noted that Sohara had kept her bra on before putting her shirt on for Gym class and did the same thing as her. She saw that Nymph hadn't even started to undress yet. She had a good idea why and went over to her and enveloped her in her wings. She whispered, "Go ahead Nymph, no one is watching now." She turned her head away as the girls were looking in awe at Asuka's wings. Neither Ikaros, nor Astrea had fully made their wings extend, so this was the first time they were seeing it.

Nymph whispered, "I'm still nervous...they are staring..."

Asuka called out, "Girls, would you mind not staring? My friend is self conscious." They quickly averted their gaze and Nymph was able to dress in peace. When she was finally done, she withdrew her wings and said, "That's better Nymph, shall we?"

Nymph nodded happily and took Asuka's hand, Sohara took her other hand and they left with Ikaros and Astrea right behind them.

One of the girls murmered softly, "I wish I had wings like they do, they are so pretty."

Asuka stopped and took a feather from her wing and handed it to the girl then said, "Put that in your hair or something, or turn it into a pendant. It will you good luck."

The girl gasped and held it close to her chest then put it in her locker for safekeeping for now. She said softly, "I will treasure it, why can't Tomoki have been as nice as you?"

Asuka smiled then said softly in her ear, "Believe it or not, he is. He was always kind to me during the year in Tokyo that I knew him, and from what I have heard of him, he always treated Sohara with respect. He just had bad luck when it came to timing with her sometimes. As for the incidents here, a lot of them were revenge shots for some girls who mistreated him in elementary. Unfortunately some innocent girls got caught up in the crossfire, so for his sake I shall apologize." She bowed then said, "Sohara, Ikaros, Nymph, Astrea...let's go." She turned and led the four of them ahead.

The girl stared after Asuka and said, "I want to be like her someday." She left the changing room and soon the entire class was gathered.

After the girl's gym class had finished basketball, it was time for a shower. This was another awkward moment for Asuka. Luckily, Sohara whispered, "Stay near me and just face the wall, a lot of girls do it out of nerves. Even I do it, it is awkward for me to stare at other girls while I shower."

Asuka nodded and followed her advice and after they were done, she copied with Sohara was doing to dry. After both of them were dry, they changed back into their uniforms and went to go have lunch together. She flicked her wings a number of times, still trying to get the water out of them. She whispered, "Astrea, how do you keep them dry...the wings I mean?"

Astrea blinked and said, "They are wet?"

Asuka groaned and said, "I'm asking the wrong Angeloid...Nymph?"

Nymph said, "Just flap your wings a bunch of times, the water will come right off. Really Delta, you have to learn to care for your wings better, or they will start to molt a bit."

Astrea huffed and began flapping her wings hard creating small gusts.

Nymph grabbed her and shouted, "Don't you dare! Flap them a bunch of times, but gently. You don't need to create gale force winds in here you moron!"

Astrea slowed them down and soon her wings were dry. Asuka had been doing the same thing, Ikaros had done it a while ago so her wings were already dry.

The moment the five girls had sat down to lunch, about ten boys came racing up and offered for them to join them at their table. Asuka smiled then said, "I apologize boys, but I promised I would eat with my family and Sohara. To me...they are family and they come before anything else in my life."

One boy said, "You...are so cool! Tomoki gets to live with all four of you and Sohara visiting regularly when he gets back? He is so lucky!"

Asuka laughed and said, "Maybe he is...but sometimes I don't think he thinks so. I mean have you ever lived with girls? It isn't always easy. Sometimes you find them monopolizing the television with Soap Operas and eating your snacks, or in the case of one of us, finding most of the food gone in the house."

Astrea pouted and asked, "What? I get hungry easily, so sue me already!"

Nymph grinned and answered, "You do eat a lot Astrea. You're just lucky you don't gain weight."

Astrea blinked and said, "We can gain weight? Oh..."

Ikaros sat back in her chair and said, "That is something I did not know. I haven't really put on extra weight since I was young."

Sohara said, "Don't worry about it too much, just make sure that you enjoy your life and exercise regularly and you will be just fine."

Ikaros said, "But you've put on a few pounds."

Sohara froze and swallowed a bite of her meal quickly and asked, "What do you mean?"

Ikaros said, "According to my scans, you have put on five pounds since I first met you."

Asuka whispered, "Ikaros, that's not something you should say to other girls, it upsets them."

Sohara shook her head and said, "It doesn't bother me. If I have put on some weight, I'll just have to lose it is all."

Asuka said, "Healthy eating, I trust."

Sohara nodded then looked out the window, "Nymph...can you tell me what the names of those birds are?"

Nymph looked out, "Tree Sparrow, Red Robin, another tree Sparrow and a Raven. There are others out there as well, but I would rather eat my lunch and enjoy my soap operas on television." She turned on the TV to the soap opera to enjoy it while she ate.

A boy nervously sat down next to Nymph and watched it with her. She looked at him in surprise then said, "If you want to watch it with me, I won't stop you, but don't interrupt."

He nodded and watched the show happily next to her.

After the lunch hour was up the rest of the day went without too much incident until Asuka forgot to cover her skirt going downstairs. Three boys walking at the bottom of the stairs looked up at her and one whispered, "Cute..."

She looked down then realized they weren't looking at her face, rather her skirt. She covered herself quickly and said, "Don't stare there, that is too personal you perv..." Her eyes went wide and she turned and said, "This time, I will let it slide as it was my fault for not covering my skirt, next time I will not...now leave!" The three boys ran down the hall, thanking their lucky stars that she had not come down and slapped them.

She sighed and saw Sohara coming down the stairs behind her. She had her hands on her skirt from the front and said, "I guess you learned why you must always have your skirt covered when going up and down the stairs huh?"

Asuka nodded and said, "Sometimes it is a pain...huh?"

Sohara smiled and gave Asuka a hug and whispered, "Definitely. It is one of the benefits for guys. They never have to think of stuff like this. In reality guys have it easier than girls in many aspects of life. Now that school is over, I asked Ikaros to take the other two Angeloids home. We have some more shopping to do. I want to get some things to make for our dinner."

Asuka asked softly, "How are things with your parents? I only saw your mother when I came over, so that has me a little concerned."

Sohara's eyes lowered and she shivered in the school staircase and said, "Let's...not talk about that here." She took Asuka's hand and the two went to the entrance hall where they swapped shoes then left.

As they walked down the street, Asuka whispered, "What is going on Sohara?"

Sohara said softly, "I'll tell you back at your place...please don't ask until then."

Asuka held her hand tightly and said, "Sounds serious...alright we shall wait until then." The two walked on in silence, but Sohara placed her head on Asuka's shoulder as they walked. At this point, she didn't care if someone stared at them, even if Asuka had still be in Tomoki's form she wouldn't have cared. Asuka put an arm around her as they walked and they entered the clothing store where they had purchased her undergarments beforehand and found the uniforms were ready.

Sohara produced the receipt and they picked up the uniforms, then went towards the market and got the ingredients for dinner.

They sat down and had a pork bun each and Asuka watched her best friend playing with her drink before she finally looked around and saw that no one else was around. She whispered, "Okay...no one else is here and you are really bothered. You barely have taken a bite of the Pork Bun and that's one of your favorite foods. Talk to me Sohara...you know how much I care about you."

Sohara sighed and said, "My parents...they are getting a divorce. They are moving to Tokyo, both of them."

Asuka coughed out some of her pork bun and then cleared her throat, "Are you serious? What about you? Did they ask what you want?"

Sohara twirled the straw in her drink and sullenly said, "When do parents ever ask their children what they want?"

Asuka groaned then said, "Well that isn't right. I mean if they want to get divorced, it is sad, but that is their choice. Where they live should focus on their child, wouldn't you agree?"

Sohara nodded and took a sip of her drink before she said sadly, "I don't...want to leave you all. I love each and every one of you!" A tear slowly slid down her cheek and splashed into her drink.

Asuka reached out and held her hand tenderly then said, "Don't worry Sohara, I won't let that happen. Did your mother say why it was happening?"

Sohara shook her head and softly said, "No...she did not. However I can guess...I think Dad cheated on Mom with another woman. Call it female intuition."

Asuka sighed and held her friend's hand tighter and said, "How horrible...of course I can't really talk, I am living with three Angeloids."

Sohara smiled weakly and wiped her tears away with her free hand before she said, "Yes...but the difference is that you would discuss it with them...and me for that matter before you did anything with anyone. You are considerate that way. If I am right, Dad did this without checking with Mom first."

Asuka got up from her chair and then moved next to her and drew her into a close hug. She held Sohara close as her best friend started breaking down crying in her arms. Tears were sliding down her face unrestrained and dampening Asuka's uniform. Asuka started rubbing her back and keeping her close. After about ten minutes of this, Sohara started calming down. She asked, "How long has it been going on?"

Sohara sniffed once then said, "I don't know, but I am guessing a while because Mom was furious with him last night. Remember how I was in my Pajamas when I came over? I hadn't even slept that night. I was going to come over, but you were out like a light still and Ikaros hadn't come to tell me otherwise. I didn't even dare leave my room, they were screaming back and forth all night."

Asuka held her tighter and said, "I wish I had been awake to help you...I am sorry Sohara."

Sohara shook her head and said, "Don't be...I know you would have come over in a heartbeat to help me. I just...wanted them to stop fighting. This morning though...early...I heard a car door slam and my father's things were gone when I left the house. The chances of him coming back are very low."

Asuka rubbed the back of her friend's head and said, "If you want to stay, I will find a way to make it happen, you have my word."

Sohara rested her head on Asuka's shoulder and said, "That is something I love about you. You would do anything for your friends, especially girls. Thank you...so much..." She sighed as she wiped her tears away one more time and said, "I am starting to feel better, there is nothing quite like a good cry."

Asuka said, "Anytime you need me, you will have me by your side. No matter what happens, I am always yours Sohara."

Sohara flushed slightly at that comment and then sat down and picked up her pork bun and said, "Now that I've cried, I am starved, let's eat!"

Asuka smiled and sat down to finish eating her pork bun. It was cold by now, but she didn't care. She was determined now to help her friend. Sohara had always been there for her growing up, even when she was being chased by the other girls back when she was still in her normal form. She was not going to abandon her now.

About an hour later, Sohara and Asuka arrived back at their home. Sohara bit her lip apprehensively as she stared at her house. She didn't want to go in at all, she shook like a leaf outside her house. Asuka took her hand and held it tightly then she knocked on the door.

Her mother opened the door then beamed at the two of them, "So how was your first day Asuka?"

Asuka said, "It was fine...but I have some questions for you. Sohara informed me of your upcoming divorce. She is quite upset about it."

Her mother frowned then asked, "What business of that is yours?"

Asuka crossed her arms and said, "Sohara is seventeen right now, in one year she is old enough to be legally an adult. She has asked me if I can talk to Tomoki's parents and let her stay with me at his place. As you are no doubt aware, his parents send money to the house to maintain it every week. If I called them and told them about the situation, you know they would increase the funding to allow her to stay there. Sohara doesn't want to leave her school and all her friends."

Her mother stared at her daughter and asked, "Is this true?"

Sohara shook slightly then she recovered and said, "Yes Mom, it is true. I do not want to leave this town, it is the only home I have ever known. Even if you and Dad move to separate places in Tokyo, I want to stay with Ikaros, Nymph, Astrea, Tomoki when he returns and Asuka. They have been really good to me and I love my school. I love this town and I know I would not be happy in Tokyo. Either please stay here with me, or please let me live with Asuka and Tomoki. That is all I ask."

Her mother said, "You do realize how selfish this request is. You are a seventeen year old girl and you expect me to just let you live on your own?"

Sohara shook slightly until Asuka actually stepped between them. She said sternly, "You want to talk selfish? How about divorcing your husband and causing undue stress on a teenage girl who lays awake crying in her room every night. She snuck out multiple nights to see Tomoki just because she couldn't stand being in that house for very long periods of time. Have you not noticed that she almost never comes home? She only comes home to get food sometimes, but mainly comes home to get changes of clothes then leaves again. Did you ever stop and wonder why? It is because your husband was selfish to sleep with another woman. To make matters worse, I have heard about every word that was screamed back and forth from Sohara. You two were so busy screaming at one another rather than trying to talk things through that you forgot your daughter was in the house and could hear every word. As her friend, I will not stand idly by while she is in pain and crying. Tomoki told me everything that went on every time. Most nights it was raining and she ran out of the house so fast she forgot her umbrella most of the time. He dried her clothes and made certain she had a hot shower each time. He made her meals and cared for her. I have already called his parents and they are concerned for her and upset with you both, but especially your husband."

Her mother bit her lip, but Asuka continued, "I'm not saying that it is not right to get a divorce if things are that bad between you and your husband. That is not my place. What is my place is to defend my friend. She wants to stay with Tomoki and myself because we both care about her enough to take her in and make sure she is looked after until she turns eighteen and becomes an adult. Now I actually like you, so I'd rather not see her choose Tomoki and myself over you, but she has already told me that if you push the issue, she will choose us over you. The law may see her as yours, but just to point out, there is only about eight months left before she is an adult. If you force her away from her friends here, I promise you that once she turns eighteen, she will leave your house and you won't see her again. I know because this is exactly what I would do in her shoes."

Her mother looked at Sohara who moved behind Asuka and nodded, "Every word Asuka here is saying is true Mom. I don't want to lose you, but if I have to choose between my close friends who have been there for me through thick and thin, and you who has been fighting with Dad for the past three years and making me upset, I know who I would choose. Please don't make me choose them over you because I will do it."

Her mother bit her lip hard then she knelt in front of her daughter and took her into her arms and rubbed the back of her head and whispered, "You have grown up into a fine woman. Very well, if Tomoki's parents call me and tell me it is alright with them, you may stay with them. Just...promise me you will call me at least once a week to tell me you are okay."

Sohara's eyes widened and she hugged her mother back, "Of course Mom! Thank you, oh thank you so much! Oh god I have to go pack!"

Asuka said, "Hang on Sohara, first you need to call Tomoki's parents and check in with them, you promised you would."

Sohara gasped then opened her phone and called Tomoki's parents.

Tomoki's father answered the phone, "Hello? Oh Sohara, how are things with your mother? Did everything get worked out?"

Sohara answered, "Well...sort of. She wanted to confirm with you that is alright if I live with Tomoki while I finish school." She handed the phone over to her mother.

Tomoki's father said, "Is this Sohara's mother Ms Mitsuki? First I'd like to say how sorry I am for your divorce that is about to happen. I just wish that this conversation ha happened under other circumstances."

Her mother answered, "No that is fine...so is it alright with you?'

He said, "That is no problem by me. My son knows to behave...especially after he comes back from Tokyo. Asuka will be there to maintain things until his return and even after words, she will help keep things on the level. We will send an extra five thousand yen a week to ensure that Sohara will be well cared for and when Tomoki arrives back there, I will up that once more by another two thousand yen. Before Sohara, the amount was ten thousand yen a week. With her there and Tomoki returning it will be seventeen thousand yen a week. This should be more than sufficient."

Sohara's mother asked, "What about the fact that your teenage son will be home with my teenage daughter?"

He asked, "What is your point? Asuka will be there and from what I have heard there are three other girls living there as well. Yes he will be living with five girls, I don't think he will be foolish enough to try anything with them. If he does, the other four would protect the girl anyways. I trust my son at any rate, he may be perverted to some degree, but the most he has ever done is looked, he has never really caused any real problems."

Her mother said, "Well that is true, and he hasn't done it for weeks now. I think he has finally outgrown that part of his life. Well if you are certain, then I will add a further three thousand to your house. This way it isn't just you paying for my daughter." She looked at Sohara and asked, "What do you think dear? Is twenty thousand yen a week enough to live off of?"

Sohara nodded and said, "Yes that would be a very comfortable living wage...I mean we could survive off half that for the number of people."

Her mother said, "Are you sure? I mean there will be six of you there, are you certain of that?"

Sohara thought for a moment then said, "Even for six people, I am sure we can manage. Besides only one of us is a boy, so we won't eat as much as a house full of boys."

Her mother said, "Then it is decided. I will be moving at the end of this week, but I will end the first three thousand immediately, any idea when Tomoki is coming home?"

Tomoki's father said, "Put me on with Asuka please, I need to check in with her."

Her mother handed the phone over and Asuka said, "Yo, how are you doing?"

His father laughed and whispered, "I never can get used to you sounding like that son, how is the female life treating you?"

Asuka said, "Not too bad, but when is Tomoki coming back?"

Tomoki's father said, "How about ten days? It dodges her mother coming here and not seeing you at our place, but also dodges you being seen there."

Asuka nodded and said, "Ten days, that is fine, we girls will make him a great meal to celebrate his return. Of course he will be walking into a house with five girls. Most boys would be ecstatic. Don't worry, I will keep him in line."

Tomoki's father asked, "Do you have enough bedding for everyone?"

Asuka said, "If not, I will figure something out, thank you for your time, give Tomoki my best regards."

Tomoki's father laughed, "Yeah yeah, have fun you nut! If you need more for bedding, inform me!" He hung up the phone.

Asuka said, "Is that a good enough of an answer for you?"

Sohara's mother nodded and said, "You best go back Sohara."

She kissed her mother on the cheek then raced up to her room humming happily. She sighed and said, "I haven't heard her that happy in a while. Was it really that bad here?"

Asuka crossed her arms and said, "You tell me...how would you feel if all you heard was arguments every night? Imagine you are a teenager again and all you hear from your parents is arguing and sometimes even screaming? Imagine how scared she must have been. I cannot count the number of letters I received from Tomoki how he got up to find her on his doorstep cold and wet. After a while, he mentioned that Sohara had slept over a number of nights just to not hear it anymore."

Her mother sighed and said, "We haven't been the best parents as of late, despite loving her so much."

Asuka said, "Sometimes a parent must know when to let go and entrust something they love to someone else who is in better condition to care for the person."

Her mother nodded and said, "Thank you again...I didn't really want to force her to come with me either, but the only place I can get work to support her is in Tokyo."

Asuka said, "Oh that much I do understand. Still it isn't fair to bring her out of school when she is so close to finishing. I can promise either Tomoki or I will bring her to Tokyo for a visit after she graduates."

Her mother smiled and said, "I would like to come to the graduation ceremony."

Asuka said, "That will be something you will have to ask her, but given what has happened over the last while between the three of you, she may want to just celebrate the graduation with her friends. Oh in his last letter, did you know that Tomoki already has enough credits to graduate?"

Her mother's eyes widened and answered, "I did not know that, so he isn't graduating with his class?"

She shook her head and said, "No, he already graduated. Impressive, isn't it?"

Her mother nodded and then saw her daughter come racing down the stairs with two suitcases. Sohara said, "I will be back in a moment to get the last suitcase worth of my things, then I will gather up my uniforms and other clothes, I will get Ikaros and Astrea's help for it."

About two hours later...

Sohara sat in her room and sighed happily. There was no bedding in there yet, but she was truly happy. No more arguing, no more running from her house. Her mother stopped by and said, "That girl Ikaros is very strong, could she carry your bed?"

Sohara nodded and looked to Ikaros who flew into Sohara's bedroom. There was nothing but actual furniture left. Her moves were precise and she started to promptly move in Sohara's Furniture which took her another fifteen minutes. Soon her room at Tomoki's house looked like her room at her old house.

Her mother looked at her then kissed her on the forehead and sat down next to her daughter. She said, "I will still be next door for the rest of this week, at least stop by and see me before I leave sweetheart."

Sohara answered, "Of course I will Mom, and thank you for this...it means so much to me that you thought of me and agreed to let me stay with my friends and finish school."

Her mother said, "Well you did start your school with everyone, so why not finish here with everyone."

Sohara smiled as her mother left Tomoki's house and laid down to get some rest.

Ikaros, Astrea and Nymph were in their own rooms and thus even though they did not sleep , still were using a laying down and resting their bodies.

Ikaros of course was standing beside Asuka when she fell aslsep, and Astrea was in her own room, but still avoided dealing with too many people. Sohara laid back on her bed and thought about everyone then said to herself, "I am finally free of my parents. I love it!"
