I snap back from the flashback. And then i jump up. I have only one thing on my mind... Kill... I have to kill it!
Eren: Ralp lets work together to take it down!
Ralp: Watch out he must be intelligent. He targeted the gate again so it can be no coincidence and he took out the artillery first.
Eren: Ok.
I swing to the right and she swing to the left. It tries to hit us as we aim for the nape of its nape but we manage to avoid it. We both land on its neck.
Me: Okay lets take it down once and for all!
Eren: Okay!
We try stab it but theres only steam everywhere which makes it difficult to target but we try to use even more gas to reach it but just as we hit it... It disappears. We use our 3D gear to get back on the wall.
Eren: Did we miss?
Me: No... It disappeared!
Eren: But how?
Me: I don't know.
Thomas: Did you get it?
Eren: No... It disappeared just like 5 years ago...
Me: He vanished just as quickly as he appeared... Sorry that we couldn't get it...
Thomas: What are you talking about? We others didn't even have time to react!
Connie: There's no time for chatting! The wall has been breached!
Me: Right. We need to get rid of all these titans!
Connie: If we don't fix it quickly the titans will swarm this place!
A soldier swing in.
We put our fist over our heart.
Soldier: What are you guys doing!? We have a plan for dealing with the Colossal Titan! Return to HQ immediately. If any of you had contact with it please report every detail!
All of us: Yes sir!
Connie: I pray for your success!
He leaves us and the bell is ringing and everybody is evacuating.
We go to the supply room and meet up with Armin and Mikasa. He's shaking as he tries to restock his gas.
Eren: Armin are you okay?
Armin: I'm Fine! I will have to just pull myself together. But we are still in trouble we have a eight meter hole in the wall with no way to fix it! We couldn't even dig out that giant rock near Zemo! If we can't close the wall we will have to abandon this city!
Me: We will lose a other home...
Eren: I know that somehow we will pull through!
Me: But how... This all just feels soo-
I suddenly get a painfull headache. Remembering that dream all of a sudden...
Eren: Are you okay?
Me: Yeah I'm fine... But it's only a matter of time now until they take out wall rose! They could even wipe out humankind now if we don't get that hole plugged in!
Eren: Both of you calm down! It's different this time! Mankind won't lose to the titans!
Me: Sorry..
Armin: Sssorry... I'm fine...
Later we get to the courtyard for info and to be assigned to a squad. He talk about how we will be 3 squads: The Front Line, The Second Line and Rear Guard consisting of the elite. He talks about how the vanguard has already been destroyed and that the armored titan may appear. We get dismissed and Eren bumps into Jean.
Jean: Fuck off!
He tries to walk away but Eren stops him.
Eren: Hey Jean what's with you?
Jean: Don't give me that crap suicidal bastard!
They start to fight.
Jean: You wanted to join the Scout Regement! You were prepare to feed yourself to the Titans already! But i was going to the interior to-
I punch him and push him against a wall.
Me: Hey you bastard horse face. Number 1: Don't mess with my girl!-
I get cut short by one of his comments.
Jean: Didn't you have Mikasa to or whatever?
I punch him again.
Me: Don't talk back to me horsefaced bitch. Number 2: Soldiers are supposed to fight to the death no matter where you are assigned bastard. You don't become a soldier if you are a selfish egoistic bastard and aren't ready to sacrifice yourself for the human race!
Jean: Not everyone can keep up the act like you and try to keep cool. You are a coward to ain't ya? You are afraid to but try to act all though just like Eren. Ain't ya? But the truth is that you are a coward.
Me: I'm not afraid of death or injury the only thing i'm afraid to lose is my friends and Eren. I have accepted death and I have faced titans before i even got training... In fact I faced one before you probably could even read. So don't fuck around with me. To me titans are just mindless chunks of meat i enjoy slaughtering.
Jean: So when did you meet your first Titan?
Me: When i was 4 years old. I sneaked beyond the gate when the soldier supposed to watch it were drunk. I sneaked far back cause i was mad at my parents. I got lost in the woods and then all of a sudden a 10 meter titan appeared... Staring me down but fortunately i was near the HQ of the scout regiment and Levi himself saved me. He just said...
I put on a my best Levi voice.
Me: Hey kid you are not supposed to be out here. What's your name?
Then i put on a kids voice.
Me: I'm Ralp Eberhardt...
Then i change back to Levi's voice.
Me: So you are a noble's kid right?
Then i change to a kids voice again.
Me: Yeah my father is Ludwig Eberhardt.
Then I changed back to Levi's voice again.
Me: Huh he was a famous soldier. Even section commander a long time ago. I will return you to your father now.
Then i changed back to my normal voice.
Me: And that's how it went down.
Jean: I don't believed that crap.
Me: Well ask him if you ever meet him.
Jean: Tsk
Me: Well anyway. If you are skilled enough you will survive or are you doubting your own skills huh?
Jean: Tsk... I got enough of you.
He walks off.
Mikasa approaches us.
Mikasa: Eren, Ralp... If things gets to tough please call me.
Me: We have to trust in Eren's skill. We can't simply leave our posts.
Mikasa: But-
Eren: Yeah. I can do this on my own.
Me: Just don't get to reckless. I wouldn't know what to do if i heard you were dead...
Eren: You worry to much!
Mikasa: Eren... He's right.
Eren: Tsk.
Mikasa tries to convince her superior that she's to weak for the rear guard but it doesn't work.
Eren: Just knock it off!
She headbutts her.
Mikasa: But!-
Eren: No! I have had enough of you act like mom! She's dead okay! And i don't need you! If i ever have a problem i go to Ralp!
Mikasa: But-
Eren: Just no! You have to focus on this mission instead of what you want! Humanity's in the brink of extinction! No one gives a crap about what you want!
Mikasa looks sad.
Mikasa: I'm sorry...
Eren tries to walk of but Mikasa holds her by the arm.
Mikasa: But just... Please don't die...
Eren nods and then pulls away.
I sigh and follow after her and Mikasa stares back at us.
Later i am standing on a roof with my squad... But then Mikasa stares behind back.
Mikasa: Something's wrong!
Suddenly a abnormal decimates almost the entire squad except for me and Mikasa. It heads towards civilian but she manages to subjugate it before it does to much harm. A man is blocking the way of a gate so other refugees can't get in. But Mikasa looks at him.
Old Nobleman: Hey you two there! Please help me get them to help me! I will reward you handsomely!
Me: Old bastard! Our comrades are dying as we speak to get these people in and even more than half those civilian we are trying to protect are dying!
Old Bastard: That's only natural! It's your duty to sacrifice your life for us civilians and our wealth! Don't get all high and mighty just because you parasites have turned useful after 100 years of uselessness!
Me: That may be true! But that sacrifice is not supposed to be in vain! Wait... What was that!? Say it again. I dare you!
I point my blades at him.
Me: I refuse to see my friends die in vain for useless maggots like you! You are disgusting. You are not worthy to live a luxurious live inside these walls.
Old Bastard: Don't get all hasty now!
Me: You know I used to live like you way back in Shigashina... But not anymore... I know what the titans can do. I can easely roll this of as a simple accident.
Old Bastard: Guards!
The guards are frozen in place.
I press my blades up against his chin.
Me: Move the wagon.
Old Bastard: Never!
I make him bleed a little.
Old Bastard: Okay okay!
He cries a little but gets his guard to remove the wagon and let people through. When it's done i and Mikasa leave.
Me: Mikasa... Are you scared of me?
She looks at me in shock.
Mikasa: Why would i be scared of you?
Me: I always terrify people... Scare them... Intimidate them. And I do horrible things like this... How could someone like you and Eren say you love me...
Mikasa: You are just being just and fair! You let people know when they do something wrong or are being unrighteous.
Me: But who really gave me the right to tell right from wrong?
Mikasa: You have that naturally.
Me: Hmm... Thank you...
She smiles at me.
I look at all the dead people around me and then i realize...
Me: We have to get to Eren.
We search for Eren. We stop when we see some of the people from the 104th.
Mikasa: Excuse me have you seen Eren's unit.
Annie: No and i haven't seen anyone climb the wall either.
Reiner: Armin's there through.
He points behind him.
We see Armin sitting and leaning against a wall... Crying...
Me: Armin!
Me: Are you okay? Are you hurt?
Mikasa: Where's Eren?
Me: Armin?
Armin: Our unit... The 34th cadet unit... Thomas Wagner, Nic Tius, Mylius Zeramuski, Mina Carolina and Eren Jaeger! All of them have fulfilled their duty and died heroic deaths in battle!
I cry. I fall to my knees and everything goes black... I can't hear anything except my own weeping. I slam my fist against the roof of the building.
Me: God damn it! I should have stayed with her! This is all my fault!
I hear Armin.
Armin: I'm sorry.
I immediately stand up again.
Me: Daaaaaaaaaaaamn it aaaaaaaaaaaaaaall! I will slay every single one! They will suffer for this! All will die! Not a single one will escape my wrath! Kill kill kill kill! I will avenge her 100 times! No! 1 million! I will drive them to extinction for this! No one will be left! Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaarghaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaarrrrrrrrrrrrrrggg! *Load Roar*
Everyone looks at me.
???: We will just end up like them...
???: All of us will die...
I don't bother identifying the voices.
Me: Hey bastards. You are fucking weak. Stay here and rot and i will show you how you slaughter these fucking monsters... No they are not monsters... They are simply mindless beasts! So stay here cowards! This is how you do it!
I and Mikasa swings off. She almost immediately falls to the ground having used up all her gas. But in my rage i leave her behind. I kill several titans until i get grabbed by a large abnormal. It throws me in its mouth in one piece... And that is... How i died...
