Matt was waiting for them when they left school he seemed to be talking to the Headmaster.
"I told you I don't want to come in." Matt sighed, "Gabumon is harmless and we're just waiting for my girlfriend. She's in class 10A she's got black hair and is carrying around a bunny. She's really cute ...." he reached in his wallet. "You know what here. I have a picture of her." he showed the Headmaster the picture. "Her name is Takashi Inriku. She's new here."
"Matt." Riku walked up blushing. Matt beamed at her as Terriermon jumped down on to Gabumon. "You came to get me? That must have been some run."
"You have no idea." Gabumon said.
Matt gently kicked him to shut him up.
Riku and Matt shared a brief kiss. Before Joe came up and Gomamon loudly said hello to Gabumon and Matt.
"Heh." Matt said, "Hey, Gomamon, Hey, Joe, thanks for looking after Riku-chan and Terry-chan today. "
"It was no problem." Gomamon said.
"Yeah, we didn't mind at all." Joe agreed. "But wanna know something funny?"
"Hit me." Matt said.
Sei-chan moved out from behind Joe.
"Hello, I'm Takashi Seichi. Riku-chan's big sister and Joe's girlfriend." she smiled and bowed. "Nice to meet you Ishida Yamato-san and Gabumon-san."
"I thought you told me your sister was in Okinawa." Matt said, after he and Gabumon greeted her back.
"She was but mama finished with the company there so they came back." Riku said, lacing her fingers with Matt's.
Sei-chan smiled it was clear that the two of them were in love.
"Wait!" Matt said, looking at Joe and Sei-chan. "Joe's girlfriend?! Like for real?!"
"WILL YOU GUYS STOP THAT?!" Joe yelled, "I'm the eldest in this group of course I should find love first! You guys just love teasing me don't you?!"
"Maybe." Matt shrugged it off.
Riku giggled into her hand while Gomamon, Gabumon and Terriermon laughed.
"This is not what I had in mind." Matt deadpanned, when they reached the amusement park. "T.K. you promised!"
"Sorry, Matt." T.K. laughed rubbing the back of his head. "But you see Kari heard me talking about our double date and she said why not make it a triple date then she was talking to Yolei and Davis and Cody were over and it just sort of snowballed."
Sure enough the Tamers stood there with their dates, Ken, Davis, Cody, his girlfriend, Yolei and her boyfriend were standing in front of them digimon included.
Matt sighed in defeat.
"I'm sorry, Riku-chan. "
Riku clung to his arm and shook her head blushing.
So they spent the whole day group dating around the amusement park. Riku found herself enjoying the day. It was getting dark when they got on the Ferris Wheel. Gabumon and Terriermon ignored the soon kissing couple in favor of staring out the windows.
Riku moaned in to the kiss and pushed herself closer to Matt. The wheel stopped with a lurch but they didn't think anything of it until their watches began beeping rapidly.
Digiport as opened !
"Ugh." Matt said, annoyed. "I'm never going to get a moment alone with my girlfriend." He went to the door and opened it leaning out he saw Halsemon, Angemon, Angewoman, Stingmon, Birdramon, and Kabuterriermon take to the air. They were soon landing on Kabuterriermon's back with most of the gang and dates. "This job is plotting against me!"
Riku giggled into her hand. Sei-chan looked scared but smiled over at her sister. They landed and got off of Kabuterrimon.
"Lets go look for the problem, Kabuterrimon." Izzy said, as Matt lowered Riku to the ground easily.
The two were just about to kiss when an explosion caught their attention. Matt growled in frustration and they all took off running. Izzy flew on ahead. When they got there Yolei, Halsemon, T.K., Angemon, Kari, Angewoman, Stingmon, Ken, Davis, Veemon, Sora and Birdramon were down.
"Ngh......." Davis said, getting up. "You're gonna pay for that!"
His arm gave out and he almost fell over but Joe quickly got to him.
Put up a Digital Barrier making the battle area a space between the real world and digital world. You all have the power to do this. Hold your hands up and yell DIgital Barrier. The destruction that happens in the barrier stays in the barrier.
"Digi Barrier!" Riku yelled.
A see through barrier appeared around the field. People could still see and film.
"Are you sure you're okay to fight?" Joe asked, "T.K. Angemon, Kari, Angewoman."
"Yeah," Kari said, as Tai helped her up. "We got to the ground and got the others off before he shot us down."
"We can still fight." Angwoman said.
"I'm good to go too." Angemon said.
"Lets do it." T.K. said, standing up holding his left arm against his chest.
Tai nodded looking worriedly at his sister.
"Lets do it, Tamers!" Tai yelled.
They played their digimon.
Their first turns were Digivolutions. Kari and T.K. were skipped.
Sei-chan watched her boyfriend and sister worriedly she was with the other boyfriends and girlfriends out side the barrier. They watched as Davis, helped Ken over to the edge of the barrier, Veemon was carrying Wormmon. Cody was helping Yolei, Armadillomon was helping Hawkmon the best he could. They all knelt on the inside of the barrier.
"I can't believe we can't help." Davis said, clenching his teeth. "Why weren't we chosen?"
They had no answers for the teen.
"A SkullMeramon?" Tai asked, "Not this again?"
"We won against one of these guys before." Sora said, her side was bleeding. She hissed as Joe tended to it the best he could pulling things out of what he called Inventory. He said they all had one. "We can do it again. "
"Look at this way we have an Ultimate this time." Angewoman said.
Angewoman is fastest
"Of course she is." Gargamon said, "She's an Ultimate to our Champion."
"Gargomon focus!" Riku ordered.
"DigiModify!" Kari called, "Swords of Light activate!"
SkullMeramon was not pleased.
"Angewoman, Celestial Arrow!" Kari ordered.
Angewoman's attack was right on but the Health Bar hardly moved.
"That's not good." Kari said.
Angemon's turn
"Digimodify!" T.K. called, "Hope's Arrow!" SkullMeramon screamed in pain. "Hand of Fate!"
He didn't do the movement this time because he was standing next to Riku again.
Angemon missed.
"I'm sorry, T.K."
"No problem." T.K. told his friend.
"Gargamon, Gargo Laser!" Riku called.
Gargamon fired from his machine gun hands.
"Digimodify!" Matt called. "Freeze Up!" he activated the card. "Howling Blaster!"
Garurumon hit dead on making SkullMeramon howl again.
"Digimodify! Heart Ache!" Sora yelled, she bit her lip. "Defense down for Birdramon." she looked worried. "Metor Wing!"
"Crap." Birdramon cried she'd missed.
"Togemon!" Mimi ordered. "Needle Spray!"
Togemon spun around releasing needles that all hit.
"Digimodify! Magnetic Force Activate!" Izzy called, "Electro Shocker!"
Kabuterrimon hit head on.
"Digimodify!" Joe called, " Digichrome Horn Activate!" he watched the card activate. "Harpoon Torpedo!"
"Digimodify!" Tai called, "Reckless Activate!" He nodded. "Nova Blast!"
In the second round only Gargamon got a hit. The same with the third. Then SkullMeramon attacked Birdramon doing 4 damage.
"Digimodify! Reload Activate!" Riku yelled when his turn came around again. Everyone had hit again. "When this card activates it restores all energy to one partner Digimon on the field. Gargo Laser!"
When Togemon and Mimi's turn came around again Mimi played her card as well.
"Digimodify! Grassy Planes Activate!" Mimi yelled. "When this card is activated all Ally Digimon get healed by 2HP at the end of each turn! Needle Spray!"
"Mimi, it's called a set up!" Izzy cried. "You set up the card before hand so the rest of us can benifit it and just in case not after one us gets hurt."
"Oh, " Mimi said, hand to her cheek. "I guess that makes sense."
"Digimodify!" Joe yelled causing everyone to look at him. "Sharp Claw Activate! When Sharp Claw is active it increses the attack of a digimon with claws by 2. Harpoon Torpedo."
SkullMeramon was not happy and let that be known when he got his second attack off.
"Birdramon!" Sora called. Birdramon burst into data and became Biyomon. Who laid on the ground but forced herself to her feet. "B!" Sora cried.
Biyomon's data was wavering.
Biyomon has been defeated.
"Crap!" Tai called. "Are we even doing damage to this thing?" he clenched his teeth. "Nova Blast!"
It was Ikkakumon who one the battle.
The barrier went down showing no damage was done to the buildings or anything around them. The Digimon returned to their Rookie forms except Biyomon who was a Yokomon. Sora cried and fussed over her.
"Hey!" Shin Kido came running through the crowd. "JOE!"
"Sora needs medical attention." Joe told his brother. "T.K. and Davis might have broken arms."
T.K. hated to admit it but he was sure Joe was right.
"That's what you guys get for flying on ahead." Shin sighed, "I already called for an ambulance when I saw they were shot down. " His own girlfriend came up behind him sighing apparently she was a peremedic. "Sorry, hon. My brother and his friends have a dangerous job."
"It's fine." she sighed shaking her head and kneeling beside Sora who'd collapsed hugging Yokomon. "I'm a Peramedic."
Sora lifted her shirt.
Joe blushed as Sei-chan fell on him kissing his cheek then doing the same for Gomamon. Then snagging Riku and Terriermon and fussing over them as well.
"Matt! T.K.!"
Both boys turned to see Hiroaki running over with a camera man following him.
"T.K., are you alright?" Hiroaki asked ignoring the camera. "Son......."
"I'm fine, dad." T.K. sighed, "Joe, thinks it's just a break. "
He hissed as Shin tried to move it.
"I want you to get an X-Ray." Shin sighed, shaking his head. "and stick with the team next time."
"Right, sorry." T.K. said, blushing a bit. "Davis is the one in the goggles."
Shin nodded and went off to check on the other boy who was moving his arm just fine. Shin ordered him to get an X-Ray just in case.
"Hey, are you here because you're worried about us or to cover the battle?" Matt asked Hiroaki. "Come on, dad we're not news."
"My bosses disagree, Matt." Hiroaki said. "Can Tai talk?"
Tai was fussing over Sora but Matt dragged him and Agumon over.
"Be the Leader." Matt hissed and went to rescue his girlfriend. "Are you okay, Riku-chan, Terry-chan?"
"I'm fine." Riku said, clinging to his arm.
"Me too." Terriermon agreed with a yawn. "Just tired."
"and hungry!" Gomamon cried.
Joe sighed reached in his shoulder bag and shoved an apple in his digimon's mouth.
Tai was being interviewed and he and Agumon were answering questions the best they could.
