Chapter 4
“So, how was your date with Darien?” Mina asked at lunch on Monday.
“How did you know about that?” Serena stammered.
“Your mom. I called Friday night and she told me you were on a date. I figured it was Darien from the way you two were making goo-goo eyes with each other at the mall.” Mina teased.
“Oh, and you weren’t doing the same with Kunzite?” Lita laughed, causing Mina to just shrug.
“What? I can’t help it if he was totally into me.” Mina said, making them all laughing.
“I found his friend Zoisite quite fascinating.” Amy spoke up.
“Is that so? Did he call after you gave him your number?” Serena asked.
Ami blushed, “Um, well…yes actually. He called me Saturday and invited me to an art gallery tomorrow night.”
“That’s great Ami.” Mina gushed. “Do you know what you’re going to wear? Your make-up? I could come by before and help you get ready if you want.”
“Really? You would do that?” Ami asked.
“Of course! What time should I come by?” Mina beamed.
Serena felt her heart swell at this news. It seemed that she and Darien weren’t the only rekindling past flames. “To answer your question though Mina, it was nice. He came to the house and picked me up after meeting mom and dad. He took me to that restaurant that everyone has been talking about.”
“Nice. I’ve heard that place is amazing.” Lita said.
“Oh, it is Lita. You’d love it.” Serena nodded.
“Did Darien say if his friends asked about any of us?” Lita questioned.
“Well, he did comment how his guys and you all seemed to hit it off. He did suggest that maybe we could all get together. You know kind of a group thing. He said he’d talk to his boys, and I said I’d mention it to all of you. We can ask Rei today at study buddies.” Serena replied.

Graphite was pissed. He had watched the fight between Sailor Moon and Germana. Sailor Moon seemed to be a strong fighter. What had him pissed was the guy that showed up. This was a wrinkle he hadn’t seen coming. Which is why he didn’t tell Beryl. Beryl had seemed only slightly disappointed in the amount of energy Germana had been able to capture before Sailor Moon showed up.
‘I honestly don’t remember Sailor Moon from the Silver Millennium. Maybe she didn’t need to fight then’ he thought as he paced.
Making a decision, he summoned another monster. “Scorpio.”
“Yes, Master Graphite?” Scorpio bowed.
“You are to go and collect energy for our ruler Metallia and Queen Beryl. I want you to be discreate. Germana was over the top and as a consequence, Sailor Moon was able to defeat her.” Graphite explained.
“I understand.” Scorpio said.
“Sailor Moon appeared to be a worthy opponent. There is also someone who showed up to help her. He calls himself Tuxedo Mask. He wasn’t around long enough for me to see him fight, so I don’t know much about him.”
“I will set my trap carefully then General.”
“Then go.” Graphite ordered.
After Scorpio vanished, Graphite walked to the living room window of the mansion. He hissed when he felt it. “What the hell do you want Pyrite?”
“You always did have a temper.” Pyrite chuckled.
“Why are you here?”
“Oh, just getting the lay of the land. After all, it will be my turn when you fail…brother.”
“I will NOT fail!”
Pyrite laughed as he faded away. Graphite clenched his fists. He simply couldn’t fail. He knew what would happen if he did. Beryl would crush him without a thought. No, he simply had to succeed.

Darien sat at the booth with Zoisite, Jadeite, Nephelite and Kunzite studying. He covertly studied his Generals. After the fight on Friday night, a thought occurred to him. He knew eventually the Scouts would awaken. If they did, would his Generals awaken too?
“Darien, you okay over there?” Jadeite asked.
“Huh?” Darien asked looking up.
“You looked like you were thinking pretty hard over there. Trouble in paradise with Serena already?” Jadeite teased.
Darien tossed a wad of paper at his friend. “No jackass. Just thinking about what topic I’m going to choose for my English class.”
Jadeite laughed, “Just making sure. How did things go Friday night?”
“Things went good.” Darien smiled.
“I invited Ami out to an art gallery tomorrow night.” Zoisite spoke up.
“Good for you. It’s about time you had some fun Zoi.” Jadeite replied.
“Oh stuff it.” Zoisite countered.
“Did you talk to Serena about all of us getting together?” Nephelite asked.
“I did, she said she would ask them today. I know she goes to school with Ami, Mina and Lita but Rei goes to TA so she would ask her when they go to Rei’s for study group.” Darien nodded.
“I don’t know about you guys, but when we met last week it just felt like…I don’t know, like we had all met before.” Kunzite remarked.
“I agree. I just felt so drawn to Rei. I couldn’t explain it nor have I ever felt like that before.” Jadeite agreed, his voice no longer joking.
Darien fought to speak his mind. It was hard being the only one who remembered their past. He remember how each of his Generals had fallen for each of Serenity’s Scouts. How happy all of them had been. Especially Serena, watching her dearest friends finding their soul-mates as she had with him.
“Do you think the girls felt the same thing we did?” Nephelite inquired.
“Guess we’ll find out soon enough. Hopefully.” Kunzite sighed.

Zoisite was nervous as he waited for Ami to answer the door. He couldn’t figure out why he was so nervous though. He had gone on dates before, but there was something about Ami that got to him. Like she was meant to be his. He was pulled from his thoughts when the door opened. He felt his heart skip as he saw Ami.
“Wow. You look…” Zoisite started.
“You…you don’t think I look…silly? I mean, I let Mina do my hair and make-up…” Ami stuttered.
“Ami, you looked beautiful. I mean it.” Zoisite said. Her hair framed her face in soft curls. Just lite touches of make-up enhanced her natural beauty. “You look perfect. Oh, these are for you.”
Ami gasped when he handed her a bouquet of lilacs. “Zoisite, they’re beautiful. How did you know lilacs are my favorite?”
“I just took a guess there.” Zoisite smiled.
“Let me put these in some water then we can go.” Ami stated.
Ten minutes later, with her arm linked with his, they headed for the art gallery. Zoisite felt like he was on cloud nine. He had been floored when he saw her. Ami was wearing a blue dress that looked amazing on her. The top hugged her torso before flaring out and stopping just above her knees.
While Zoisite was admiring Ami, Ami was in turn admiring him. He was dressed in black fitted trousers with an ice blue button downed long sleeved shirt. His shoulder length hair was pulled back and tied at the nape of his neck. She had thought he was handsome when they first met, but tonight he looked even more so.
“I was surprised when you called me Saturday.” She said.
“I was surprised when you said yes. I was so nervous when I called.” He admitted.
“You were?”
“Oh yeah. Ami, I have dated very little. To be honest, me, Darien, Nephelite and Kunzite haven’t done a lot of dating. We’ve focused more on school. Jadeite though, well he’s dated more than we have.”
Ami giggled, “Sounds like me, Serena, Lita and Rei. Mina is the one in our group who’s the life of the party.”

Scorpio stood in the shadows watching the humans walk through the art gallery. He smiled as slowly their energy was drained. He felt he had succeeded where Germana had failed. For a week now he had been using the gallery to steal energy for the Nega Verse. At the end of each day he had presented the energy to Graphite.
“How is it going Scorpio?” Graphite asked, appearing beside him.
“Everything is going according to my plan. This new exhibit was the perfect place to target. The artist featured has drawn large numbers.” Scorpio answered.
“Beryl has been pleased with your collection. As have I. I will leave you to continue your work.” Graphite stated before disappearing.
Scorpio smiled brighter. He hoped tonight would be even more fruitful.

“Serena, I don’t understand why you won’t just tell me who the other Scouts are.” Luna sighed from where she rested draped over Serena’s shoulder.
“Luna, I have already told you why. Until it is necessary, I won’t. Queen Serenity sent us all here for a chance at a normal and happy future. I will respect what she was her dying wish.” Serena replied.
Serena had just left the library when Luna found her. The sun was setting as she headed home. She knew tonight was Ami’s big date with Zoisite and she hoped the two were having a good time. Darien had texted her after school to let her know the time and location for the group gathering. The plan was for the two groups to meet at the park for a picnic to start. After the picnic, plans were in the air for now.
“Luna, why is it you remember so little from the Silver Millennium?” Serena asked.
“I have been curious about that myself. I can’t understand why Queen Serenity would send me to this time yet block my memories. Especially about the Princess. It’s as if she did not want me to find her right away.” Luna answered.
‘She probably didn’t want history to repeat itself.’ Serena thought, “What do you think about Tuxedo Mask?”
“I’m not sure. He could be an enemy.” Luna stated.
“I don’t think so. He helped me. If he was an enemy, why would he help?” Serena countered.
“I…well…” Luna stammered. “I still say we reserve judgement.”
Serena chuckled. It wasn’t often Luna got flustered. She and Luna rounded a corner when Serena felt it. Narrowing her eyes she focused on the negative feeling that was surrounding her. Looking around she spotted the art gallery. Her first thought was worry for Ami and Zoisite.
“Luna, do you feel that?” Serena questioned.
Luna was instantly stiff. “The Nega Verse. Quick, you need to transform and get into that gallery.”
Ducking into an alley, Serena pulled out her broch. “Moon Prism Power!”

Zoisite frowned when he and Ami entered the exhibit for the new artist Lonnie Leni. Something was wrong, he just felt it. “Ami, let’s leave.”
Ami looked up with a frown, “Leave? What’s wrong?”
“I don’t know. Something just feels…” Zoisite started to see when he saw the first person drop.
He and Ami gasped as a couple a mere two feet away also collapsed. Some unknown instinct in Zoisite told him to get him and Ami the hell out of there. Wrapping his arm around her he turned to leave when the doors slammed closed.
“Didn’t anyone tell you it’s rude to leave the party before it’s over?” Scorpio laughed, appearing behind them.
“Zoisite?” Ami whispered as he pushed her behind him.
“Who the hell are you? What have you done to these people?” Zoisite demanded.
“I am Scorpio. I have collected their energy for the Nega Verse. Just as I’m about to collect yours.” Scorpio sneered, raising his hand toward them.
“Moon Tiara Magic!”
Ami looked to her left and saw a woman. She heard Scorpio yell in pain just before a boomerang object flew toward the woman. Ami clutched Zoisite’s arm as something seemed to be tugging at her memory.
“Back the hell off. Your energy stealing days are over.”
“Who invited you?” Scorpio demanded, holding his wrist from where her tiara had hit.
“I’m Sailor Moon. I’m here to end this Nega Verse party.” Sailor Moon said. Sailor Moon stepped in between her friends and Scorpio. “Get back you two.”
Zoisite tugged Ami to the corner Sailor Moon had appeared in. Yet every fiber of his being was screaming at him that he needed to help her. To fight beside her. He didn’t understand it, but he couldn’t leave Ami.
“I hate party crashers.” Scorpio hissed.
Sailor Moon jumped out of the way of three daggers flying her way. She reached for her tiara and threw it but her aim was off as more daggers flew her way. She dove behind a column as the daggers hit.
“Shit.” She hissed. Peeking around the column she gasped and dove behind another one.
~0000~
From the corner Ami was struggling. Something inside was telling her to fight, to help Sailor Moon. “Zoisite, we have to help her. I don’t know why but…”
“You feel it too?” Zoisite asked spinning to face her.
Ami’s eyes widened and only an unknown instinct had her pushing herself and Zoisite to safety as more of Scorpio’s daggers flew at them. As they landed behind a statue, she felt a power building inside her.
“You’re the one!” a voice gasped.
“Did that cat just talk?” Zoisite gaped.
Luna flipped and a pen with the emblem of Mercury appeared. “Ami, take this pen and call out Mercury Power!”
~0000~
“Ahh!” Sailor Moon cried as one of the daggers sliced her arm.
“What’s the matter Sailor Moon? Thought you were supposed to be a strong fighter.” Scorpio taunted, floating above her.
Sailor Moon held her right arm with her left hand and glared up at him, “I’m not through yet asshole.”
Pushing off the ground Sailor Moon delivered an uppercut with her left arm, catching Scorpio by surprise. However, the monster recovered quicker than she expected and dove for her. Bracing herself for impact, Sailor Moon caught him and managed, barely to toss him into a display.
“I’m going to enjoy tearing you to pieces.”
“Mercury Bubbles Blast!”
Sailor Moon sighed in relief as the fog filled the room. She moved quickly and found Sailor Mercury to her right. “Welcome back Mercury.”
“What is going on?” Zoisite demanded.
Before Sailor Moon or Sailor Mercury could speak, Scorpio charged them as the mist faded. Zoisite was knocked against the wall as Scorpio pinned both Moon and Mercury by the throat to another wall.
“So, another Scout. Too bad this reunion will be short.” Scorpio laughed.
Rage. Cold rage bubbled inside him. Seeing Ami in danger had him seeing red. A power filled him. He closed his eyes and gave in to it. When his eyes opened, he was dressed in grey pants, knee high boots and a grey tunic lined in ice blue. Before he could process it, Scorpio cried out and released Sailor Moon and Sailor Mercury. Two red roses were now stuck in the floor and Scorpio was cradling his wrists.
“How dare you attack them!” a new voice called out.
“Tuxedo Mask.” Scorpio hissed.
Tuxedo landed in front of Moon and Mercury. Zoisite didn’t hesitate and rushed to Tuxedo’s side. The two men were a shield between Scorpio and the two Scouts. “Sailor Moon, Sailor Mercury, are you two alright?”
“Yeah.” Sailor Moon said, standing.
“I’m good.” Sailor Mercury nodded.
Scorpio threw nearly a dozen daggers toward them. Zoisite faced them and extended his hands. “Glacial Freeze!”
A wall of ice erupted from his hands and the daggers bounced harmlessly off the wall. Scorpio looked on in shock. Sailor Moon took that opportunity and made her move. Pulling out her wand, she leapt into the air. Seeing her move, Tuxedo cupped his hands for her to use as a springboard. When her foot hit his hands, he tossed her up.
“Moon Healing Escalation!”
Scorpio screamed as he was hit full blast. Sailor Moon landed behind him as he was turned into a yellowish dust before it collapsed. She hissed and dropped to a knee. In seconds, Tuxedo Mask was at her side.
“Sailor Moon, talk to me.” He pleaded.
“I’m alight. Just one of his daggers got my arm.” Sailor Moon moaned.
Tuxedo Mask placed his hand over the gash as Zoisite, Mercury and Luna approached. The three watched as a soft golden glow emanated from his hand. Slowly, Sailor Moon’s wound healed. After a few moments, he removed his hand. Sailor Moon looked up and gently cupped his cheek.
“Thank you.” She smiled.
“Anytime.” He nodded.
“Um, will someone tell me what the hell just happened?” Zoisite asked in awe.
