aki rolled over. Haru had fallen asleep shortly after he’d whispered in her ear. Now it was her turn to watch him sleep. His bangs hung limply against his forehead, some of them reaching as far as his closed eyes. Saki brushed them away, mimicking his earlier motions. She then leaned forward and pressed her lips to his forehead.
Haru’s eyes slowly opened, and his vision focused on Saki leaning over him. He groaned as she shifted against his side. Saki watched as his eyes darkened once again. She barely had time to register it before he pushed himself upwards and caught her lips in a furious kiss.

Haru stood in front of Saki’s door. He watched her closely before smiling.
“It was great.” He repeated for the third time. “Saki-chan, you can really cook.”
Saki once again flushed, just the tiniest bit, and Haru had to smile wider. Saki watched him for a moment. Then, she stepped closer. Haru placed his hands on her shoulders, keeping distance between them.
“Someday…” began Saki “I would like to know why I can’t get close to Haru-kun.”
Haru felt his heart melt at the bit of emotion he caught in her voice. He almost wanted to confess everything, but what could he do? He wouldn’t chance Akito hurting her. What if he did? The thought settled like ice in the pit of his stomach. He smiled down at her.
“Someday I’ll have to tell you.” He said quietly. Saki nodded and lifted herself up on her toes to catch his lips in a quick kiss. The innocent kiss quickly evolved, and soon was a fierce battle for dominance. Saki was drowning in the moment, she didn’t want it to stop, but eventually the need to breathe won out, and she pulled back. Saki took Haru’s hand and led him back into the living room. She lowered him onto the couch so he was sitting, and quickly sat beside him. Haru’s mind raced, but was silenced as Saki’s lips touched his again.
Saki’s tongue trailed along his lips before he parted them, allowing her to take the lead this time. She moved closer, and Haru’s hands moved to her shoulders to steady her.
Haru’s hand slowly drifted from her shoulder to rest against her side, just next to the swell of her breast. Saki groaned, and slid a hand down to move his over, so it rested atop the mound. Haru broke the kiss and looked at Saki, who stared back at him.
“Haru-kun?” she asked. Her face slightly flushed from their activities.
“I… I don’t want you to feel uncomfortable.” He said. “I don’t want you to do anything you aren’t ready for.” Saki felt her heart melt. No one had ever been so kind to her, not even Tohru, who was the kindest person she’d met, could have said something so considerate. The fact that he was making sure it was okay overwhelmed her.
Saki felt tears in her eyes, and for the second time in Haru’s presence, her emotions controlled her as a tear slid down her cheek.
Haru’s eyes held confusion as he wiped the tear that had fallen away, that tear was quickly replaced by a second. Haru did the only thing he could do; he placed a comforting hand on her shoulder, and pressed his lips against hers in a slow gentle kiss. Saki’s tears slowed as she was absorbed once again in the kiss. She sighed as Haru’s hand rubbed against her arm. Haru pulled back and looked at Saki, who had since stopped crying.
“Don’t cry.” He soothed, repeating words he’s said quite some time ago “I’m not worth it.”
Saki glared up at him, and Haru watched as she gathered her anger.
“Don’t say that.” She whispered angrily. “I can cry if I want. You are worth every tear.”
Haru was taken aback. He hadn’t heard her voice contag thg this much emotion, ever. He was stunned by the fact this emotion was because of him.
“Saki-chan.” He whispered. Saki’s anger faded, and she blinked up at him, waiting for him to finish what he was saying. “I… never mind.”

Sunlight shone in through the curtains, which danced on the cool breeze. Haru woke up to something tickling his cheek. At first he thought it was a black fly, but he opened his eyes to find it was Saki’s hair, moving softly against his cheek. He smiled and sat up, slipping out of the bed. He pulled on his pants and walked to the kitchen. He decided to make breakfast for Saki.

Haru lay on his bed. His eyes were closed and he replayed the same scene he’d been playing in his head for the last month.
“You are worth every tear.” He heard ringing in his mind. The sight of Saki’s eyes, narrowed in anger, the way she’d stopped when he whispered her name. The way he’d been about to tell her what he felt for her. What was wrong with him? He had been about to tell her, and he’d chickened out. He knew why though, Akito. He’d remembered Akito, because for a second, just one second with Saki, he’d felt normal. Reality had crashed back down as he looked at her, eyes shining with freshly shed tears. Who knew how many more she’d shed because of him. ‘You are worth every tear.’ No he wasn’t, and he should know. He was not worth a single one of her tears. He didn’t deserve to be that important to someone. More accurately he didn’t want to make someone cry for him.
Frustration filled his body, and he rolled onto his side. He tried to stop thinking of her, but the kisses they’d shared and the way he’d touched her kept coming back to him at odd moments.
He sighed and gave up, deciding to go see Saki.
