Chapter Six
Return To Me
Chapter Six
By White Angel of the Blood Moon
It was beyond me as to why I could never be left in peace. I hadn\'t hurt anyone since I left Meifu. I was doing no wrong. I simply wished to be left with my love, Muraki.
Apparently, this was too much for them to understand.
You would think Tatsumi at least would understand, especially after what we had together.
What we had............bingo.
\"Tatsumi-san! Please don\'t hurt me!\" I immediately went into chibi inu-mode. Hisoka had run to Muraki\'s side, where he would be safe, as I handled the situation before me.
Tatsumi blinked. The plan warkinrking. Even after all these decades I was still like kryptonite to him.
\"Tsuzuki-san.........I..........\"
\"Wahhhhhh!!! Tatsumi hates me!!!!\" I cut him off, tears streaming everywhere.
Then I watched with pleasure as he broke.
\"Kami-sama, Tsuzuki-san.......I can\'t hurt you.\" The secretary\'s blue eyes misted with tears.
\"Then leave us alone.\" I sniffled as I walked over to embrace the one who loved me so. I placed a tender kiss on his lips and withdrew, moving back over to where my Muraki stood holding Hisoka.
\"Very well then.\" Tears were streaming down Tatsumi\'s face now. I felt guilty for this, but it had to be done.
\"No! Tatsumi, we have to follow orders! We can\'t let them go!\" Watari cried.
\"Watari-san, we were unable to capture them. They got away. There whereabouts as of now are unknown. This is what happened. Sometimes, Watari, you have to do things for love, even if they may not be completely right.\" He gave a pointed glance at Watari, who simply blushed in response.
In a sweep of shadows, the two shinigami were gone, probably never to return again.
And then I cried.
Muraki and Hisoka held me tightly, reassuring me that it was ok. It was ok to let go. Sometimes it just had to be done. Still, that did not ease the fact that I had just seen two of my best friends for the last time, and knowing that it was my own actions that caused this made the pain even more bitter.
All that I had now were these two. These marvels of love that held me close and cared for me unlike any others.
And of course, there was Kazu-chan, who had crawled up into my lap, purring and shedding white fur everywhere.
It was in this moment that I realized that, even though I could not die, I should never take things for granted. I may be here forever, but that doesn\'t mean everything, and everyone, else will be. Each moment is something to be treasured, and as I kissed Hisoka, then Muraki, I knew that everything would be ok.
