Chapter 5: Hypocrite soul (Seres' POV)
After the last time, I felt so energized and full of life. This time, it
felt as if he'd sucked the life out of me. I couldn't get up, I just laid
back and fell asleep, without a word to the demon lying next to me, staring
at me. He had the most sinister look on his face as I drifted off. Is 'demon'
too harsh a word? It's better than 'monster', the word he seemed to prefer.
After what he'd done to me, he surely was no 'monster'...
I woke up a few hours later, refreshed. I bathed set set out to find Sir
Integra. I had to talk to her about the incident.(See chapter 4.) I hoped
she was over it. I walked to her office door and sheepishly knocked.
"Who is it?" She asked, through the door. "It's Seres, I want to talk to you."
I replied gently. "Come in." She didn't have any anger in her voice.
She was smoking one of her cigars and there was light music playing. It
seemed that the master of the Hellsing house had a day off, or simply nothing
to do at this moment. It was rare indeed. She had a grin on her face as she
held the cigar between her teeth, she took a drag then exhaled, placing the
cigar in an ashtray. She leaned back in her expensive leather chair and
bore into me with those piercing blue eyes.
Integra: What can I do for you, Seres?
Seres: Sir, I've come to apologize for my behavior lately. I feel embarrassed
that you had to see that...
I: Don't worry about it. I didn't mean to see it. What you do on your time
is your own business. It was just an accident that I walked in like that.
I looked down, blushing. "I don't want you to think I am-" I was cut off by
her hand reaching over and covering my mouth. "Stop apologizing. What I think,
isn't what you need to be worrying about right now. There are worse things
stirring in the underbelly of this country, this world, for all we know." She
stood up and approached me, brushing my bangs behind my ears. She grinned at
me and gave me a kiss on the lips. It was a soft peck but it made my heart
beat faster, my cheeks were red, I could feel it. "As long as you are
with this organization, that's all I really care about. Alucard knew that
you would be a great asset to us. I wonder if he knew how great, really.."
She picked up the cigar, which had now stopped burning, and lit it again.
"Thank you, Sir. I should be going." I stood up to leave, but she stopped
me, grabbing my hand. I turned to see her with a look of desperation on her
face. "Please join me today. I'm going for a ride." How could I refuse.
It would be nice to get out of the house for reasons other than work.
"I'll stay with you." I smiled. She grinned back and grabbed my hand.
She led me outside to where the Rolls Royce had been waiting. "Do you drive?"
She asked. "I do, but it's been awhile.." I responded, knowing where this
was going. "Good.." She sat in the front passenger seat and opened the
driver's side door. "Come on, time's wasting." She said. I got in and started
the car. As I slowly accelerated, I could feel her happiness. She rolled her
window down and hung an arm out. "I have a whole day. Don't talk about any
freaks or ghouls today, promise?" She looked at me. If I wasn't too scared
to look away from the road, I would have glanced back at her. "Promise."
I said, shifting gears. "Where do you want to go?" I asked, turning onto a
country passage. "Anywhere... Anywhere but the city." She reclined the
seat back and sighed a heavy sigh.
We cruised down the country road for awhile. The sun was setting and it was
absolutely gorgeous outside. "Seres, stop here. Let's watch it." She said,
coming out of her trance. I pulled over to the shoulder and we got out of
the car. We leaned against the trunk and watched the sun go down. The orange
glow was intoxicating. She looked at me and gave me another kiss. She wrapped
her arms around my waist and rested her head on my shoulder. I embraced her
in return.
I raised my arms up and grabbed her head in my hands, I pulled her into a
passionate kiss. We kissed desperately, heated breaths escaping from the few
chances that were allowed. She tried to turn me over so my back was against
the car, but not this time. It was my turn to show her my gratitude. I pushed
her against the car and she smirked at me. "Be gentle with me, Seres." She
said, pulling off her jacket and her tie. I took her glasses off and laid them
on the pile of disgarded clothes. I decided to tease her a little and made a
move for her neck, but my forehead was met with the barrel of a gun. I
grinned, insecurely. "Not there..." She said. I nodded and the gun was lowered.
"If I was going to do that, it wouldn't necessarily be there..." I
explained, tracing a finger over her jugular. "Then I'll just have to keep
this handy, just in case." She said, placing the gun on the trunk with a grin.
I began to unbutton her blouse, kissing her breasts as I reached behind and
unclasped her bra.
I began to suck her nipples, making her moan. Suddenly, I could feel the
blood surging through her veins. I stopped and tried to gain control of
the impulses I began to feel. She noticed the struggle I was entangled in.
My fists were clutched at either side of her and I was holding my head away
from her body. "Seres!" She yelled at me, trying to get my attention.
I blinked and returned to her. "I'm sorry, I don't think we should do this.."
I said, pulling away from the car. My senses were still filled with her. I
could still feel her blood pulsing and taste her skin despite the fact that
I was not touching her. "Let's go for another ride then. We can figure this
out later." She said, putting her shirt back on and getting into the driver's
seat. "Come on, Seres!" She yelled. I looked down at my hands, scared of what
could've happened. I couldn't control myself. I can't risk that again.
I got into the passenger's seat and looked out the window as Integra drove.
She grinded the gears everynow and then, which made us both chuckle.
She didn't say anything to me for the remainder of the car ride. I guess she
could tell I was pretty shook up. She grabbed my hand and held it as we
cruised back towards the Manor. She got out and walked around to open my
door for me. I was still stunned and lost in thought. She held her hand out
to me and I accepted it.
After we walked back through the door, Walter greeted us and she walked me
to my room.
Integra: Look, I know what happened today was scary for you. But you stopped
before anything happened. So don't waste any time dwelling on what could've
happened, because it didn't happen. Are you listening to me?
(She lifted my chin.)
Seres: Yes, Sir. I understand.
Integra: When I said that we'd figure something out, I meant it. I had a
really nice time today.
Seres: Me too..
Integra: I'll see you tomorrow. We have some new recruits coming in.
Seres: I'll be there.
I tried to give her a convincing smile, but I don't think it worked. She knew
that I would spend all night worrying about what happened. After a bit of
thinking, I realized what had gone wrong, and why my urges were so strong.
My Master had drank from me last night, and I hadn't had anything to drink
since before then. How could I have forgotten about it? I would have to test
my theory next time. If she would give me the chance.
The End---------------------------------------------------------------------
Author's note:
Well, that was chapter 5. It wasn't as bad or even lemony as I'd planned. But
the story came to me as I wrote. The original plan was to have them do it in
the backseat of the Rolls, but it changed. I really can't see Seres being able
to control herself unrestrained. Not with Integra at least. I've had only
one complaint about the script form dialogue. That's just the way I've always
written long dialogueapteapter Six should be up as well, because I'm going to
write it right now! Next chapter: Alucard/Seres, really hot lemon-I promise!
