Part Five: Fleshly Desecration. Kureno Attacks!
Outside, the girls were smiling and giggling as the guys walked nd tnd them, keeping an eye on them.
Soon, the girls decided to walk the fence line and they stepped off the porch and walked along the fence. The guys followed when they heard a car pull up and saw a few guys get out of the car. The girls stopped and turned around.
The guys that had stepped out of the car came at them, buru wru was the first to try and stop them. He held them off for a second and was lightly slung aside. Momiji, too, tried to hold them off, but he was flung towards Haru.
"RUN!" Kyou yelled as he took to his fighting stance.
The men laughed at him. Looking behind the men, Kyou noticed someone that looked exactly like him, with brown hair instead of his orange.
"Kureno," he said as he grew angry.
"Nice to see you again, as well, Kyou," he said as the two burly men in front of him stepped aside.
"I never said anything about seeing you, Kureno. You can't do this. You aren't going to take them," he said through gritted teeth.
"Who said anything about taking them? I was ordered for the girl only. You can play the hero or you can save yourself, Cat," he said with stolidity like Hatori.
"I prefer to play the Cat, if you don't mind, you retarded Barn Yard Animal," he cried out.
Kureno slightly clapped. "You have such wit for a shunned animal such as yourself, Kyou. You can go very far with that attitude," he said not smiling.
"Kureno, you can't take her," Kagura spoke softly yet commanding.
"Oh, the Boar has come to take the side of an outsider. I would have been too surprised by that act of selflessness if I didn't know you so well," he said.
"That has nothing to do with anyone, Kureno. Why don't you just leave and don't come back. Make Akito fight his own battles," Kyou said.
"I would, Kyou, if it weren't for him being so ill at the moment. This is a little repercussion of what Shigure did at the Main House. Either hand her over, or I will be forced to take her from you. It's all up to you, Cat. What do you say? Live and hand over the woman?"
"NO!" he said without so much as a thought of the injury that Kureno could give him. "You can't break her and Hatori up, Kureno! You are just as cold hearted as Akito!" he finalized the speech.
Without much effort, Kureno stepped up to Kyou, who had put his guard down and stood facing him, as he looked at Kyou.
"Such a loyal person for a Cat," he said thinking. "It's just too bad that I have to do that which I am called for," he said.
"Yeah?! And what's that?" Kyou asked, annoyed.
"This," he said as he punched Kyou in the stomach and then in the face.
"KYOU!" Tohru and Kagura cried out.
Not too long after he had stopped, the four in the house all heard Kyou yell and the girls scream. Hatori, Ayame, Shigure and Yuki all four made a mad dash towards the door to see what was going on. What they saw, they didn't expect. Kureno was walking towards Tohru, Kagura, and Nami. All three girls just stood there, waiting for the man to come to them.
"KURENO!" Yuki said.
He turned and faced him and sm. G. Grabbing Nami's wrist, he let the other girls go as he drew her towards the car. The other two burly men were already inside and the motor was running.
"I'll see you at the Main House, Hatori," he said before Nami wrenched her wrist free from his grip.
He turned and faced her, his face screwed up in anger. He grabbed her arm again and twisted it behind her back as he placed a medium knife on her throat. Hatori ran to her, but couldn't get very far. He had already started a small nick in her throat.
"She may not be afraid of Akito, but she is surely afraid of me, Hatori. She has no idea what I can do to her. Either comply or your girl dies here, with her throat cut," he said commandingly.
Hatori looked at him angrily as Shigure and Yuki stood on the porch. Kagura wanted to help them, but couldn't think of anything that she cothatthat wouldn't put Nami in any danger. Tohru looked on in horror. How could so much happen just because of one person?
"I
I'll go," Nami said in a small voice.
She didn't dare to speak too loud because she would probably risk her vocal cords. Kureno eased up on the knife and smiled.
"Hatori, listen to this," he said as he told her to say it again.
"I'll go. Just don't do anything to them. They don't deserve this, Kureno," she said, crying.
Kureno shoved her towards the car and she got in, as she looked at Hatori and frowned.
'I love you, Ha'ri,' she thought as she sat in the car and waited for them to leave.
"Like I said, Hatori, I'll be seeing you at the Main House," he chuckled as he got in the car and they drove off.
Hatori dropped to his knees as Kagura, Tohru and Yuki went to tend to Kyou, Haru and Momiji. Shigure and Ayame stepped over by Hatori.
"Like you said, Hatori, she can hold her own. But I worry what can happen to her there with those monsters," Shigure stated, a little saddening but hopeful.
Hatori put his hands to his face and started crying. His anger level rose as he looked up at the sky.
"NOT AGAIN! I WON'T LOSE ANYONE AGAIN!" he screamed as he stood up, went to get his jacket, and looked at Shigure. "I'm going to get her, Shigure. Either you are going to go with me, or you are going to staye ane and sentence her to death," Ha'ri stated, a little unnerving to Shigure's standards.
Shigure smiled at Ayame as they both went inside and got their jackets.
"Kyou, Yuki, try to make sure the house is cleaned and ready. If I know Akito, we'll be having plenty of injuries, so get the sleeping room ready and stock up on gauze and alcohol, if you can," Shigure said as he readied himself to leave. "And don't destroy my house," he commanded Kagura.
Ayame was driving as Hatori sat in the passenger side in the front. All he could think of was how Akito had ruined most of his own life for him. He remembered the days that he and Nami would take walks along the walk inside the gates and when they would go to the park.
Hatori just sighed as he looked on, the darkness of his hate consuming him as he thought of ways he could injure Akito.
"She was happy then," he said softly.
Ayame and Shigure acted like they hadn't heard anything. Memories of their months together had come back like a flood to Hatori. He paid attention to each and every detail. From her long, brown hair to her sweet personality.
"Aya, can you drive any faster?"
Ayame smiled as he put the car in overdrive and they sped down the street. Soon, they were at the Gates of the Main House. Walking up to the door, Hatori tore it open and walked inside. He went straight to Akito's room where he heard screams and yelps as Nami, he assumed, was being thrown against the walls and kicked.
He tore open Akito's door as he stared at him, breathing hard. Ayame and Shigure were behind him. Akito smiled at them as he stepped over to Nami.
"So, you're here for your woman," he said smirking. "Well, take a look at the one who you say is beautiful," he said again as he showed Hatori Nami's face.
She had cuts, scrapes, bruises and a black eye. The small indention on her throat where Kureno had put the knife at earlier had a larger line. Hatori looked at her in horror, but regained his composure.
"She's still as beautiful as ever, Akito. She has a natural beauty that you cannot ever comprehend. It's a surprise that she even agreed to marry you in the first place," Hatori said slinking against the wall, his side still hurting.
Akito scoffed. "What natural beauty? All I see is a woman who goes from one to another," he said, degrading her character.
"She only left you because of what you're doing now," Hatori said, defending Nami.
"Oh, do you really believe that she could ever love you, Hatori? Once she really gets to know you, she'll leave you and you would have lost yet another woman. Or have you forgotten about Kana," he asked, tearing up Hatori on the inside.
Shigure and Ayame stand inside the door with Hatori on the shoulders.
"I think that's enough, Akito. You are spiritually damaging these two."
"Oh, I'm not just spiritually damaging them, I'm doing physical and psychological damage as well, Ayame," he retorted.
Shigure turned to Kureno. "You have no heart, Kureno. You are a disgrace to this family," he accused. "To let Akito do this to someone, even if she is an outsider, requires one of little or no heart. You're just as evil as he is."
"Thank you for the compliment, Dog," he said striking a cord with Shigure's anger.
"Keep watch, Hatori," Akito said as he picked up Nami, grabbed her throat, and tossed her against the wall; she screamed in pain as she hit the wall.
Hatori couldn't do anything for her, he knew that now. He was too weak to fight. He let go of Shigure and Ayame and sank to the floor. Shigure and Ayame stood by his side, both of them angered at Akito's actions towards both Ha'ri and Nami. Shigure flew towards Kureno as Ayame stood there with Hatori.
Kureno pulled out a small pistol and shot Shigure in the arm.
"That should stop you for now, Shigure," he said smirking, but Shigure kept going towards him at break neck speed.
Shigure tackled Kureno to the floor and started wailing on him. Akito just walked calmly over to Nami, picked her up by the hair and smiled at her.
"Having fun, yet, sweet little Tsunami," he asked, smirking.
"It would be fun if I could get some kicks or something in," she struggled as he held her throat back.
She swallowed hard. Akito smiled. He had her right where he wanted her and he was carrying out his plan.
"See, Hatori? If you had just gotten rid of her, like I told you to, earlier, then you nor her would have to go through any of this," Akito said e fie finally got bored of picking on her and took his small knife and stabbed her from behind.
Her eyes grew wide and she sank to the floor. Ha'ri stared at them and his eyes grew just as wide as Nami's as he watched the knife enter her and then retract to Akito's hand. He chuckled as he flung her the rest of the way to the floor.
"Now, do you want her still? She's broken, who knows if she'll live, much less that thing in her stomach," Akito said, taunting Hatori.
Shigure had managed to punch Kureno to fainting. He turned to see Akito fling Nami to the floor. Looking at Kureno's face, Shigure found his gun next to him, picked it up, cocked the hammer, aimed it at Akito and shot blindly from anger, rage and sadness. Akito fell as the sound rang out in the room. He fell backwards, away from Nami.
Ha'ri placed a hand on the floor and ran over to Nami as quick as he could. Her face that was once a beautiful light tan color was now blood red, black, purple, blue, bruised and cut. He placed her head in his lap. She looked up at him and smiled.
"Ha'ri, you're okay," she mumbled softly.
He smiled and held her head to his chest. Aya and Shigure walked over to them.
"Yes, I'm okay, Nami. You will be fine, too, once we get you cleaned and bandaged. But you have to promise me that you will stay awake while I take care of you. Can you do that for me," he asked, tears rolling down his cheeks as he looked at her battered face and torn kimono.
"Why are you crying, Ha'ri," shked, ked, her faint smile fading to a frown. "I'm not totally destroyed. He may have tried to do so with my body, but he could never touch what wasn't his," she said, trying to comfort Hatori.
"Let's get you to my office and I'll see what I can do about all your injuries, okay, Nami," he said, his smile buying out his frown.
"That would be a good idea," she said, smiling.
Hatori bent, picked her up, and walked to his office, leaving Akito to die in his room. He placed her on the table as he pulled out some of his instruments.
"Shigure, make sure she doesn't fall asleep or anything," he said to both but only said Shigure.
"Is there anything I can do, Hatori," Ayame said.
"Stand over her head and keep the oxygen mask on her, okay? She will need all the air she can get," he explained.
Ayame did as he was asked and Hatori looked around for his sonogram machine. He found it in the corner he had left it and brought it over to the table. He smiled at Nami. He undid her kimono. He thanked God that she had on her undershirt and the shorts he had bought her for her birthday the month before.
"Okay, Nami. The first thing I'm going to do is check on the baby to make sure nothing is wrong and that he didn't harm it, okay," he said.
She just nodded and waited till the cold from the gel went away. Now, she hoped, she could find out what her baby was going to be, whether boy or girl. Ha'ri placed it over her stomach and started to move it across the gel. He smiled as he noticed the gender.
"She's fine," he said as he put the machine away. "Now, I'm going to stitch up the knife cut and then work on everything else, okay?" he said as he told her everything he was doing to her. "Just pinch me if it hurts too much, okay," he asked as he brushed her hair from her face.
She nodded in acknowledgement as he took out his medical bag and began the stitching of the side wounds. He finished her sides and back as he went for her throat.
"This one will really hurt, okay, because it's on your neck. So, you don't have to pinch me because I know that it's not going to feel good." Hatori started on her neck, paying attention to every little detail to her neck as he stitched it up. "Shigure is she awake," he asked.
"Yes, she is awake. Why do you ask, Hatori?"
"Because, she's not moving," he said as he felt for her pulse.
"Do tears count," Ayame asked, noticing that she was crying.
"Yes, Ayame, tears count," he said.
"Then she's alive. She probably doesn't want you to know how much it really hurts for you to be doing that," Shigure said as he looked down at her silent face.
She was looking up at him through the eye that wasn't blackened. He smiled at her and pulled her hair softly away from the work table and began to play with it easily.
"It's going to be alright," Hatori said as Ayame held the oxygen mask on her face. He looked at her face and smiled. "You do realize that this means no more walks for quite a while, Tsu?" he stated as she smiled at him.
She raised a bloodied hand and touched the chest area of his shirt. He placed his hand on hers as he smiled and stopped working for the moment.
"I know, Tsu. I love you, too," he said smiling.
He finished her throat and looked for the alcohol and began to decorate her body with the liquid as he watched her wince in small amounts of pain.
"I'm sorry, Tsu, but I have to do this. You understand, right? I want to get rid of any infection you possibly got from all that destruction that Akito placed on you," Ha'ri said sadly. "The pain will go away in a moment, I promise," he said as he got the bandages ready to place on her cuts.
While the alcohol was working its magic on her cuts, he had to take a wash cloth and wipe her face clean. He looked at her beautiful brown eyes and smiled.
"There, that's better," he said. "Someone told me that they would prefer to see my face than me hiding it, I would want the same from them," he said, smiling as he kissed her forehead. "Does it still sting," he asked.
"No," she said softly, trying not to strain her voice.
"Okay," he said, smiling at her. "I'm going to put bandages on your cuts. They shouldn't hurt so, don't pinch me," he said as she raised a hand and pinched him playfully.
He smiled at her. "Okay, that was a given, Nami, but no more. I'm trying my best here to get you better, okay," he said.
"Okay, Ha'ri," she said er ser small, raspy voice again as she placed her arm back on the table. "Shigure, may I have some paper and a pen," she asked in her soft tone.
He left to find a notepad and a pen. He gave them to her when he came back to the table. She began to write on it. She showed it to Ha'ri.
"What," he asked as he read her note. "Yes, I plan on changing my shirt, Tsu," he said as he went back to work on her cuts.
She wrote him another note and hid it from Shigure and Ayame. He looked at the note as he stopped working on her and laughed. He nodded and she smiled. Shigure had become a little suspicious at these two.
"What did the note say, Hatori," Ayame asked, his giddy little self returning.
"Oh, don't worry about it, Ayame. It's something between me and her. An ongoing joke, if you will," he said smiling at her and nodding at Ayame.
Her eyes brightened as she laughed as best she could, but she had to write it down on the pad because her throat hurt. Ha'ri finished the cuts and smiled at her. He removed the oxygen mask from her face and stared into her eyes.
"You're better, now, Nami," he said smiling.
She tried to sit up. Ha'ri, Aya, and Shi pushed her back on the table.
"Where do you think you are going," they asked in unison.
She wrote on the notepad, "Home," she smiled.
"Not yet. We have the whole matter of Kureno and Akito to deal with," Shigure said.
Hatori looked at Shigure and sighed. "True, we do have to deal with Akito, but I'm pretty sure, Shi, that we have to work on you. Was it my imagination or did you get shot in the arm," he asked.
"As usual, Ha'ri, you're right. Kureno shot me in the arm; that bastard."
Nami looked at Shigure as her face turned to one of fear.
"Oh, don't worry about me, Nami. I can survive," Shigure said, smiling.
She took the notepad and wrote, "Do you need the table for the extraction," and gave it to Hatori.
He read the note and smiled. "No, it's okay. Shigure won't feel a thing. Well, maybe the feeling of burning hot flesh, but that's nothing compared to what happened years ago," Ha'ri said.
"B
b
burning?" Shi said, his mouth quivering.
Hatori nodded. "Yes, burning. That way I can get the bullet out without any problems from you, Shigure."
"Why don't you just use one of your LONG needles and put me out of my misery before you do the extraction thing," he suggested.
Nami wrote down her laughter on the notepad and showed it to Shi. "You're a wimp," she wrote.
Shi looked at her and nodded in agreement. "That I am, Nami. A true wimp I am!" he said, proudly.
"Ayame, go and find her a usable kimono. She can't walk into Shigure's house looking like this," Hatori stated.
The happy Snake was glad to do such a worthy errand. Before he had a chance to get out of the room, he stopped and looked back at Ha'ri, Shigure, and Nami.
'They look so sad,' he thought as he turned and walked to the adjoining room to find Nami a kimono to wear.
He found the thing and brought it back to the room and helped Hatori put it on Nami. She gasped as they put it on her, trying their best to be gentle. Hatori's heart broke when he heard her gasping from the pain. He lay her back down on the table gently and turned her to face him, her eyes squinted. He touched her face and gave her a peck on the cheek.
"Nami, we still have to get you to the car. Do you think you can handle the pain a bit more?" Hatori asked.
She took the pad once more and wrote a small note on it and they closed her kimono. Shigure had braided her hair and tied it with a rubber band and a blue ribbon. Ayame smiled. Ha'ri picked her up, balancing her shoulders on one arm and then under her knees. He tried to do this gently. Before he stepped out of the office, he motioned for Shigure to bring his bag and Ayame to bring a large bandage with them. After a few minutes of excruciating pain, they were in Hatori's car and on their way to Shigure's house.
