Day Two

Chapter Five: Day Two

Yuki woke to find he was still entangled in the arms and legs of his two cousins. The blankets had been pulled up at some point and someone had thought to wash the evidence of their evenings activities off of them all. Yuki was a little disappointed that they had not gotten all the way before the amount of pleasant contact had brought them all to their releases. But, if he guessed correctly there would be other opportunites. Gently disentangling himself he gathered his clothing and made his way out of the bedroom through the main room and into the only bathroom. He quickly cleaned up and dressed and exited before his presence drew attention. Once outside he noticed the others stirring from their sleep and he crossed to drop onto Kyo\'s abandoned matt and pretended to sleep.
\"Ah, I see you finally decided to go to bed, and where are the others?\" Shigure called to him from what was left of the neat sleeping area that Yuki had made for himself.
\"Mmmm, I imagine they are sleeping somewhere.\" Yuki managed to sound like he was only waking as he stretched and yawned.
\"Right, I think you know that. I see. I think I am going to get something to eat.\" and the older cousin was up and headed for the kitchen. His bedmate stirred and rolled toward his brother. He opened his eyes and smiled a knowing smile at Yuki before the rat rolled over and pretended to return to sleep.
\"Gure-san wait for me.\" he heard before turning back to see Ayame following the dog to the kitchen area.

An hour later everyone was up, and Kureno had actually made a decent breakfast, after cleaning the mess that Ayame and Shigure had made in the kitchen. The room buzzed with activity, Ritsu appologizing to Ayame for spilling his tea too close to Ayame\'s miso soup, Momiji telling Kureno about the streudel his father used to buy him when they lived in germany, Haru and Kyo fighting over the last riceball, and Hatori being irritated by Shigure and his brother, but as always Yuki was silent, left out. He scanned the others and watched their interplay. Finally, he threw his chopsticks at Kyo, striking the cat in the forehead.
\"Baka Neko, you had enough. Let Haru have it. You know you really want more of the fish anyway.\" and he picked up his plates and left the room.
Once in the kitchen he settled to rinsing his plates and such, and placing them aside to be properly washed later. Moving to the window and pushing the curtain away, only to see a pure white curtain of snow on the opposite side. Yuki sighed and turned away.
Snow. He had never cared for it, and yet was named after it. Irony was his life.

In the other room, his cousins watched him go.
Kyo smiled at his back and Haru snorted as he took the last rice ball and began to eat it.
When Yuki was out of hearing, Kyo turned to the others.
\"Now what?\" he asked.
\"Something more than last night, I hope.\" Haru suggested.
\"You nearly went black, if not for his quick thinking it wouldn\'t have gone that far.\" Kyo scolded.
\"Haru, you stay out this time. I think we need to join the fun, what do you say?\" the other said.
\"Oh, yes. I want to, I won\'t mess it up.\" was his partners reply.
\"Kyo too, he seems to be the catalyst.\" was the last said before they noticed the door to the kitchen open and Yuki returned.
