Chapter 5

Chapter Five

Seras eery laughter stopped him cold he looked back to find her body gone not even her blood remained. His laughter joined hers’ he should have known better she is his dark child, of course she wouldn’t be killed so easy.

“Ha ha ha ha ha ha glorious just glorious mmm do it again,” Seras laughed from her perch top of a undamaged headstone.

“Ah ah if you want to play you have to be a good police girl and come home where you belong,” he wiggled his finger at her as if she was being a bad child. Her face harden as she growled at him again rubbing her forehead. ‘What is wrong with me? Maybe I had to much fun tonight? No, That name... it has be... but what?’

Alucard again frowned at her actions something seemed to be wrong with his police girl? But what? The doubt still remain in the back of his mind, was he really dealing with his police girl or someone else? He watched as she cocked her head to the side as if hearing something he couldn’t. A strange ear to ear smile crossed her face as she stood up still perched on the headstone. She looked to the full moon again completely ignoring him, the breeze catching her hair and coat. ‘How is it I never noticed how ethereal she is? Beautiful pales in comparison to her’

“Alex-an-der calls me to come home. We will meet again and one us will die. First your lover than you my sire will die by these hands,” she whispered opening a void on the ground.

“That will never happen Seras Victoria you will come home soon or later. And you, me and Walter will celebrate,” he spoke tapping his chin. But again he frowned watching as her face changed. She again stared at the full moon with a far off look in her glazed over red eyes. Her head tilted to the side as again she spoke in a small voice.

“Walter.....the...angel...of death,”Seras whispered. Flashes raced through her mind again, this time they slowed and cleared.

Flash, a man with his dark hair pulled back into a pony tail, a monocle covering one of bright brown eyes. He bent at the waist in his black pants and white shirt as he smiled down at her. “How are you this evening Miss Victoria?” He questioned the concern he felt could be heard clearly in his voice.

Flash: “You must drink Miss Victoria, if not for yourself than for me. If you get weaker than who will I have to laugh with? Would you deprave an old man of his best friend,” he spoke holding out a packet of blood for her.

Another flash he handed her a huge, silver, heavy case “I had it made just for you Miss Victoria,” inside was a Haloconnen 30mm Cannon. She saw herself smile awkwardly at him but his smile put her at easy.

Another flash the man was standing outside a building when he looked up his eyes widen as he jumped back as if preparing for a fight. He grab his chest as she landed in front of him shaped as a giant Raven. When she transformed back to her human form he scolded her and praised her at the same time. “My god Miss Victoria I think you took four years off my life. As Impressive as that was please never scare me like that again. You should be very proud of your self Miss Victoria I don’t even think Alucard could accomplish such a large form,” he smiled at her with pride shining in his eyes making her feel proud for the first time in a long time.

An other flash he stood over her as she lay on the ground locked in a cell. He whole body hurt as if she’d been kicked by an elephant.“Please Miss Victoria tell me it wasn’t you that attacked Sir Interga or those humans? I am sorry my friend I am begging you to talk to me please,” and for the first time she noticed the tears that streaked his face.

Seras didn’t notice her void had closed as she leapt blindly from the head stone grabbing her head. She slashed out blindly making the headstone explode in her fury. She slipped to her knees a loud roar ripped from her throat. Alucard rushed to her side calling her name but got no answer.

“Seras... seras what do you see? What is it?”

Sad red eyes peeked at him from under her bangs. A red tear ran down her cheek.

“I let you free of me my master then why? Why? Was I that bad a fledgling that you had too...had too” she growled again shaking her head. The flashes and darkness were pressing down her trying to drown her.

“What are you talking about Seras? Though you were stubborn at times you were not a bad fledgling. And never did I think you were, you were all ways so adoring and helpful to your master. Never think that I ever wanted to be parted from you my Police girl”

“Lies all LIES,” she roared jumping to her feet, her face harden as she looked at him. “Next time your lies won’t save you my sire,”she hissed with a flutter of her tench coat she turned and stepped into her void disappearing.

Okay now he was really confused still watching the spot where she disappeared from.

Anderson was sitting in their room reading over the file Maxwell has given him. The photos were disturbing and sickening the more he looked at them, the more the young girls seemed familiar. There was almost twenty of them, all slain in the way one would a vampire. The girls were stretched out as if they were hung on a cross, with a stake through the heart and their heads cut off.

But what was truly disturbing was the fact they were all blonde haired and looked like Seras. The only difference was the girls had blue eyes and Seras has red eyes. Each girl was dressed in what looked like Seras old uniform, a blue skirt and dress shirt, only thing missing was the Hellsing patch. He found it stranger that it just was brought his attention now when the killings seemed to have been happening for the last two years.

Before he could think farther on this new puzzle he felt a strange tingle go down his spine. That could only mean one thing that Seras had returned. But she didn’t enter the room, so where was she at then? Maxwell.

It bother him that Maxwell was showing such an interest in the female Vampire. No he wasn’t jealous, it was something else. Especial with the comments she would make. Some times he often wondered what Maxwell was telling her about him, were they good or bad? Sure he had a hold of some kind over Seras, but still at the same time Maxwell seemed to be sinking his claws into her mentally.

And if anything these past two years have taught him, her only weakness is her memories. Or lack there of, which he couldn’t figure out why. And the dreams, the flashes of darkness of being hungry and alone, but when she awoke most of the time she couldn’t remember anything of it.

Anderson shoved open his door and marched down the halls and toward Maxwells’ office. He stood outside the door hearing the whispering within, but he found he couldn’t make out what was being said. He opened the door and entered.

He stopped Seras was kneeling in front of the window gazing at the moon, Maxwell was also kneeling behind her whispering into her ear. He stroked her hair as if she was a pet or something. And she either seem not to notice or not care. Maxwell turned his head slightly and smirked at Anderson.

“Welcome Father Anderson, we have been waiting on you... haven’t we Seras?” he cooed to her as if she was a small child.

“We have?” she questioned confused.

“Yes we have my dear,” Maxwell answered with a smile.

“Why are ye waitin’ on me” Anderson growled his arms crossed across his chest.
