Sailor Moon: The Chronos Tales

Michael met with the other Senshi the next day in Rei's room and told them why he had returned. "His name is Hemite and he was the most powerful of Prince Endymion's Generals." Michael tells them. "At one time he was my best friend but he joined the Negaverse and became far more powerful then even Queen Beryl could have imagined."

He walks over and stares out the window at the dark clouds in the sky. "He was the one that destroyed Chronos,” he says. "He was also the one who buried me so that I couldn't help you girls." Rei walks over to him and places a reassuring hand on his shoulder.

"We'll stop him Mike," she assures him. "We're all together again and nothing can stop us."

"How sweet," a voice from outside says. "The Martian whore thinks they can actually stop me." They all run outside and find a man standing in the center of the shrine. His long green hair flaps in a breeze that doesn't exist and his piercing red eyes fills them with terror.

"Too bad for you Meeko the little bitches have no idea what you're getting them into." The man says.

"Who are you?" Lita demands. Her transformation wand is already out, as are the others. They are ready for battle but Mike step between them and the stranger.

"Save your strength Jupiter," he tells them. He picks a stone up from the ground and throws it through the stranger. "It's just an illusion he's not really here."

"Same old Chronos," the illusion says. "Too scared to get your own hands dirty." The illusion laughs, baring its fangs. "Still hiding behind your Senshi's skirts. Have you no pride?"

Mike doesn't listen any longer. With a wave of hand the illusion is banished. "Let's go back inside before it starts raining."

"What was that thing?" Mina asks once they're all back in Rei's room.

"That was Hemite." Mike says sitting on the edge of Rei’s bed. "And he's far more dangerous then you can imagine."

"God I can't believe I dated that guy." Amara says causing the others to look at her. "What? It was when we were back on the moon.”

Mike laughs. "You weren't really each other's type."

"I know," Amara says laughing. "He had a thing going with Umimion. Still it made for a good cover."

Seeing the confused looks on the faces of the others Mike explains. "Umimion was Endymion's older brother and the Crowned Prince of Earth."

"He was also a raging closet case." A voice called from the doorway. They all look to see Darien standing there. "It has been alone time Chronos."

Mike nods. "Aye Endymion," he says. "It has."

"Please," Darien says looking embarrassed. "It's Darien now."

"Okay Darien," Mike says with a friendly smile. "Call me Mike."

"So what are we going to do about Uranus' old boyfriend?" Lita asks trying to get them back on track.

"Destroy him." Amara says as if it's the most obvious answer. "We find out where he is then bust in there guns blazing blast him into oblivion then call it a night."

"It's not as easy as all of that I'm affraid." Mike says. "Hemite was able to remove me from the fight when I was at my strongest. He's not going to be so easy to defeat."

"What do you mean when you WERE your strongest?" Rei asks concerned. "What happened?"

"Time," Mike answers sadly. "My last thousand years on earth has caused my strength to weaken considerably."

"What do you mean?" Amy asks, curious as always.

"My body has grown accustomed to the lighter gravity." Mike tells them. "As a result my strength's dropped by more then half."

"Meaning?" Mina looks at him expectantly.

"Meaning that instead of being ten times stronger then Darien I'm only about four times stronger."

"That still makes you the strongest one here." Rei says sympathetically. "Also you're the only one of us that's fought him before. We need you with us."

Mike smiles and kisses her forehead gently. "I'm always with you Firestar. I'm just not going to be as much help as you thought I would."

"You're still more help then we had a couple days ago." Serena says. "And you're still one of my Senshi."

Mike nods as they begin planning out the attack on Hemite.
