Chapter 5
This is a wee bittie short but i ended it at the right place, i think. I would just like to thank all my reviewers and raters from the bottom of my heart for their kindness and encouragement. In particular i would like to thank Crimson Butterfly who makes me blush and grin ^___________^
Yoh smiled softly, to himself more than his friend. He sighed, “We should return to camp—if they’ll have me.”
He stood up awkwardly under the low ceiling. “Of course they will: you are they’re leader!”
“I hope so, Amidamaru, I hope so.”
As they ventured out into the dark night, they heard the crackle of flames. ‘Zeke?’ But, no. Disappointment washed over Yoh as his companion’s camp fire came into view, and not his beloved. He would have been pleased to see him, even if it was just to pick a fight.
His friends stood up abruptly when they saw him approach. “Yoh!” There was a short silence when they all just stood uncomfortably in the shifting orange light of the flames.
“Emmmm… Sorry ‘bout before…” the chocolate-eyed teen ventured. There was a collective sigh. It was still their Yoh; only he could make the situation so offhand and treat it with such mellow casualness, kind of sheepish. Like Yoh. Like they knew him to be.
“That’s cool, dude! Like I said—it’s GOOD to lose your cool sometimes, HEALTHY…”
“MASTER YOH!!!” Rio (who, incidentally, was in tears ^^) threw himself at Yoh, who almost lost his balance. The whole group (minus Rio and Yoh, of course) laughed at the sight of a hysterical Rio clutching a bewildered Yoh whilst said bewildered Yoh attempted to administer some form of consolation to the bawling gang-sta.
Eventually Rio recovered enough for Yoh to make an escape. He darted away without hesitation. “Thanks, Rio. But we’re fine. I promise that I won’t take another tantrum anytime soon.”
“Good, because you have a lot of training to do!” Anna said her bit. Yoh and Amidamaru both broke down into helpless tears and sobbed loudly in each other’s arms.
They managed to carry on as normal, but Mikehisa did not rejoin their group.
