Chapter 5
You heard murmers in a strange language, but you kept your eyes squeezed shut. Suddenly you felt a pressure on your mind. You let out a cry, but you let them in. It was the woman with the green eyes. She was aggressive, going right for the memories from when you were little.
She saw how a merchant familiar raised you along with their kids. But you weren't equal to them. You ate your meals seperatly from the kids, and you got the leftovers. You got second hand clothing, and did everything seperatly. You had to sleep outside the wagon at nights, and you had to do all of the chores for the kids. Mark, the father, he would hit you if you didn't do things right. Molly, the mother would never let you play with the other kids. You were separate, less than everybody else around you, basically a dog.
One day a man came up to mark, and offered him a bag of gold. You didn't know why, but Mark agreed to something, and the man came and tied a rope around your hands, and led you away. That was where the first true abuse started.
The woman watched every aspect of your life, takeing every memory and transferring it to herself. It was so fast, and she wasn't gentle either. You cringed, and cried out a couple times as she forced her way to a long forgotten mameory.
You were only about six when they sold you, and it was to a man Boromon, he was horrible. He kept you locked in a celler in the barn. For the next three years he did unspeakable horrors to you, he made you do things with him, that you didn't want to. They were too horrible to describe. He touched you, like an adult wasn't supposed to touch a child. He took pictures as well. She saw how he took your virginity, he was about thirty, and you were seven. He beat you, ans he starved you. It wasn't until you were nine, somehow you knocked him out. You had put your hands out, and a green light flashed, and he fell over.
You ran away. You grabbed a cloak, and ran as far and as fast as you could, it was august, and you couldn't get food anywhere. When you were in the streets of a town, you saw a soldier, and asked him for some food. He made you go with him to the stables, you were scared, but you were soo desperate for food. He looked at your ears, and suddenly he grabbed you, and a bunch of others did. They took you too the shade.
As the woman looked at your memories you could feel a growing horror, she was disgusted, and horrified at your life. You were starting to realize how truly messed up you were. Aparently this wasn't normal, were you really that scewed up?
She saw how the shade questioned you, she saw him beat you, and keep you drugged. Then she saw how the 12 soldiers raped you. Each carving their initials in your flesh when they were done with you, all of them kaughing. The shade called you an elf, and he talked about them being in Du Weldenvarden. She saw how you told him you weren't an elf, you didn't even know really the difference.
Then she saw how it was discovered that the shade was killed. One of the soldiers that raped you, took you, and was taking you somewhere with him, at nights he raped you. This time you fought back, and you managed to run away. You ran into the forest, and had your meager supply of bread, and water. You traveled into Du Weldenvarden, deciding that that was the best place to try to find you parents. You knew that no matter how many times you called to your mother, she never came. She also saw how you had had a dream, about three horse rider, and how two were killed, and one rode away, and how you were convinced that one was your mother.
Then she saw how you reached a lake, and finally collapsed, and couldn't move. It was then she saw how your horror started all over with her beating you. She could feel the pain in your heart, your fear, your despair, your extreme yearning and obsessive desire for love.
You felt her pull out of your mind. Your vision retured to you, and you were in total shock. You lay limp on the bed, and just stared off, not really looking at anything. You couldn't comprehend that you were truly that messed up, that you were truly that misfortunate. You always thought that somewhere, there was a life waiting for you, but yu didn’t have anything. You were looking off to the left, and you saw that the woman was pressed against the wall starring at you.
She said something in their language, and you felt the cuffs of your wrists, and feet dissapear. You also saw the three men leave the room. You turned onto your right side, even though it was excrutiatingly painful. You wrapped your arms around yourself, and you pulled your knees up slightly. You were facing away from the woman, and the new woman. You were just in total shock. Was your life really that bad? Was everyone else that different? Were you that different? What was the point of your life? What was the point of this? Why did this keep happening to you? Why were you always being hurt? You could hear the women talking in the background. But you were just totally lost for explanation.
You felt a hand on your arm, and you felt yourself forced into sleep again.
You opened your eyes, and stared at the canopy of the same bed you had been in the last time you woke. You felt slightly different. You sat up, and looked down at your arms. They were healed, but the odd thing was, there were no scars. You looked at the back of your arms, where the whip had gashed your skin. It was smooths, and clear, like it had never been touched. You were still wearing the same undergrments from before, but as you saw your stomach was smooth skin, that wasn't discolored, and cut.
You ran your hand around your back and felt no raised scars from the whip, but to your complete and utter surprise, the old scars from the shade were gone as well. You immiditaly looked down at your underwear, and you were shocked as you saw that the initial marks were gone. The skin on your lower stomach was completely smooth, and soft. You were speechless. You heard the door open, and close quickly. Your gaze quickly shot towards it. You saw two women standing there, looking at you. You backed away on the bed. You suddenly fell off the back, but didn't care, as you backed away into a corner. You weren't shaking, but you were scared. You just didn't know what to make of anything anymore. You hugged your knees, and stared at them warily.
There was the woman with the green eyes, and then the woman with the almond ones. You started to shake as the woman with the green eyes came over to you. She touched your arm, and you felt a gentle warmth radiate from her hand you had flinched from the contact. You stared up at her, fear wraking your body. She glanced back at the other woman. You looked down at her hand, which was touching your arm. She said something, in their language. As you looked up at her, and sawher pointed ears. They were elves. As she finished her sentence, a look of shock spread across her face. She glanced back to the other woman who raised her chin, but she still didn’t seem convinced of something.
"You are Elvin." The woman said, looking into your eyes. You looked away from her and to the side, You were scared, but you never felt so safe in your life. With these walls behind you, and this woman before you, you felt like nothing could get to you.
"There has only been one child lost in the history of the Elvin race. My daughter, born elven years ago. Do you understand what that means?" The woman said looking into your eyes. You were pressed as far back into the corner as you could go. You turned and stared at her, your mouth falling open. You couldn't believe what she was saying.
"I'm so sorry for what has happened to you." She said, tears in her eyes. You were looking into her eyes, but as you looked at her, you stopped seeing her. You were lost in your thoughts. Shock swirled all around you. You were heart broken. You had always thought that the moment you found your mother, she would instantly recognize you. But you had been beaten and abused by your own mother. She had broken your leg, and hurt you. You felt yourself completely shut down.
"No!" you whimpered, so quiet you barely heard yourself.. You stared off, you were completely unable to just believe it. You just wanted to be loved by someone, and even your own mother beat and abused you.
You knew the woman was saying something to you, trying to you, trying to get your attention, but you were just stuck in your endless stream of thoughts. She went to brush the hair out fo your face, but your body reacted violently and you threw yourself back against the wall, tensed and trembeling, waiting for the blow. You were unable to think or focus. She became slightly frantic, as she tried to get you to react, and talking louder. You heard her, but you just couldn't react.
You felt yourself being lifted, and placed in the bed. You were trapped in your own thoughts. It was like you were in a body you couldn't control. You felt a hand gently touch your cheek. Tears stremed down your face, as you stared off. You couldn’t think or move. The woman lay with you all night, yet, everytime she would shift, and your body would tense and you would begin to tremble uncontrollably. Every so often you would feel the woman try to soothe you, try to say words, but you couldn’t do anything.
She saw how a merchant familiar raised you along with their kids. But you weren't equal to them. You ate your meals seperatly from the kids, and you got the leftovers.
