Kuran sighed tiredly as he walked slowly down the hallway to the Chairman’s office. He really did not want to have to discuss anything with the chairman. How was he suppose to explain that the time he was allegedly talking with Kiryu, was not actually spent talking. ‘I could always make it seem as though we agued’ he thought. Hell, everyone would believe that, all Zero ever did was argue. It was just the simple fact that as much as Kuran respected the Chairman, he did not like to answer to anyone concerning anything he did. Being a pureblood had it advantages. Coming to the door of the Chairman’s office, Kuran knocked softly.

“Come in,” the Chairman said, “Good evening, Kaname.”
“Good evening, Chairman,” Kuran replied.
“I am almost afraid to ask, but how did your little talk with Zero go this morning?”
Kuran smirked and chuckled low under his breath.
“That bad huh. I knew that he would not take to being put into the Night Class. That child has a dead hatred for vampires. Putting him into the Night class is like throwing him into a nest of vipers.”
“Chairman, I would never let the vampires do anything to hurt Kiryu.”
“Truthfully, Kaname, I’m not worried about what the vampires would do to Zero. I’m worried about what Zero would do to the vampires.”
Kuran could not hide the smile and small laugh. ‘He’s got a good point. I may be able to control the vampires, but Zero is loose cannon.’ Out loud he stated. ”Yes he does, as you guessed the discussion did not go as planned. I hope to be able to talk to him more. He must come to see that it is only for his own good.”
“Good luck, if you want my advice. I would in list Yuuki to help you. He will listen to her,” the Chairman said.
“That is true,” Kaname said thoughtfully, “The only problem is getting her to realize that he is a danger to all of those around him and would be better off in the Night Class. He will not be able to control himself much longer.”
“Hmmm,” the Chairman mumbled.
“If that is all, Chairman, I shall be going,”
“The Council still keeping you busy, Kaname, that’s too bad. They should give you a break. I mean everyone should enjoy there high school years, don’t you think?”
“Goodnight, Chairman.”

Kuran walked out of the Chairman’s office and quietly shut the door. Deep in thought he walked slowly down the hall. Turning the corner in the hallway, he was almost run down by Zero. “What’s the hurry, Kiryu?” Kaname used the link between them to look into Zero’s thoughts. ‘Ahhh! So that’s it.’

“Nothing that concerns you,” Zero muttered low under his breath. ‘Luck was just not on my side today.’

Kuran walked beside Zero, bumping against his shoulder roughly. “You know Kiryu; it is not nice to peep.”

Zero blushed deeply, “I don’t know what you’re talking about, Kuran.”

Kuran smiled, being sure to show his sharp fangs, “Sleep well, Kiryu. We still have much to discuss.”

Zero watched as Kuran moved with feline grace down the hall and out the door. ‘Shit! That sounded like a promise and a threat.’ Zero could not figure out his conflicting emotions. On one had the promise he had heard in those words had sent a shiver down his spine, while the threat had made the hairs on the back of his neck stand up. Zero shook his head to recover his thoughts. No time to think of this now he had to get out of this hallway before Yuuki saw him.

Zero made it safely to his room and stripped off his clothes, throwing them in a corner, he thought. ‘I will burn them; I will never wear them again. I don’t want to remember anything about today.’ Looking at the clothes again he sighed, if he burnt the clothes he would also be burning the shirt Yuuki gave to him. ‘Shit, I’ll think about this tomorrow.’

Zero lay down on his small bed and fell into a fitful sleep.

Kuran made his way slowly back to the Moon Dorms. He opened the door and was not surprised to see all of the questioning faces looking at him. Vampires have very sharp sense of smell. They could smell the sex and blood that lingered in the air. They knew the smell of Kaname’s blood, but could not place the other. Could the other be the same vampire that was feeding off of Yuuki Cross? They looked at Kuran hoping that he would tell them. They were quickly disappointed when he just looked at them coldly and stated that Yuuki Cross and Zero Kiryu would be coming to the Moon Dorms and that they were to be taken to his room and the others were to leave again. The only good news was that the Night Class would be canceled for tomorrow night and that they could stay out and be back tomorrow morning. Kuran smiled as he looked at his fellow vampires he knew that curiosity was eating them alive, but they would never be so forward as to ask him upfront about anything. The Chairman was right; he did control the vampires, because he was a pureblood. Zero was another story all together. Kuran walked up the stairs to his room. The smell of blood and sex were very strong here. Kuran walked to room and looked at the mess on the floor. Sighing he started to pick up the bullet casings that were on the floor. As he neared the spot where he had fucked Zero, Kuran felt himself become hard. His mind started to replay all of those moments. Zero pinned against the wall. Knock...Knock...Knock… Zero rolls over in his bed and puts his pillow over his head.

“Zero, are you awake. Hurry up, were going to be late for class.” Yuuki shouted through the door.

“Shit!” Zero exclaimed, jumping up out of his bed. Zero rushed over to his sink and turned on the water. Slashing his face quickly to wipe the sleep from his eyes, he then hurried over to his closet and pulled out his uniform.

“Zero, are you alright?” Yuuki asked worriedly.

“Yes, I’ll be ready in a minute.”

“Ohm, Okay,” Yuuki answered in a non believing voice.

Zero rushed to pull his uniform on then did the one foot hop to pull his shoes and socks on. This did not go as well as he crashed to the floor getting the last shoe on.

“Zero? Are you okay? What happened?” Yuuki asked worriedly tugging at the door trying to get it open.

Zero sighed tiredly, ‘Well there goes today. Well it can’t be any worse than yesterday.’ He thought. (Authors note: Never say this because it can and it will) Zero pulled himself off the floor winching slightly at the leftover pain from yesterday’s activities. He could not believe that he was still this sore after a nights rest. He unlocked the door and opened it. He quickly reached out and caught Yuuki as she fell in the room as he opened the door. ‘I’m faster,’ Zero thought. Yuuki turned bright red, “Zero are you okay? What was all that noise? Did you hurt yourself? Do you need blood?” Zero pinched the bridge of his nose trying to keep up with all her questions. This was just to fast for him. “Yuuki,” Zero stated calmly, when she paused for a breath, “I’m fine. No, I’m not hurt. No, I don’t need blood.”

“Umm, okay,” Yuuki said in a hurt voice, ‘how can he be so calm, I was so worried about him.’ “Breakfast is ready, if you are hungry. I made vanilla pancakes.”

“Thanks, let’s go eat. We can’t let the Chairman eat them all. He may decide to cook something.” Zero said with a grimace on his face.

“Yeah, he never could get that part right,” Yuuki said with a huge smile on her face. Yuuki and Zero walked in uncomfortable silence to the table. Yuuki watched as Zero sat down very carefully in his chair. ‘Was he lying to me when he said that he didn’t hurt himself?’ The two of them ate in silence until the Chairman came in.

“Yuuki, my precious daughter, you made pancakes. You should not have to do that. You should let Daddy do it.” The Chairman exclaimed. Luckily he was in his own world and never saw the grimaces on the faces of the other two occupants at the table.

“Then we would never have a decent meal to eat.” Zero stated under his breath.

“Oh, what cruel thinks you say, Zero. You don’t feel that way do you, Yuuki?” the chairman said in a mock hurt tone.

Yuuki just smiled. ‘Good, what ever happened yesterday can’t be too bad, Zero and Chairman were acting normal. I still must know what happened and where Zero was yesterday. I’ll ask him on the way to class.’ Yuuki thought. Standing she said to Zero, “Well we better head off to class. If we are late again the teacher will give up secondary classes again. See you latter, Chairman,” giving the chairman a quick kiss on the cheek. “Were off.” Grabbing Zero’s hand and ran out of the house. She could hear the Chairman wine behind her. “I’ve asked you to call me dad.”

Zero pinched the bridge of his nose for what he could swear was the hundredth time in an hour. He was starting to get a headache. Yuuki had been asking him what had happened yesterday when he went to see Kuran. He couldn’t lie to her and didn’t want to tell her so he kept ignoring her. This strategy did not work. She just kept on asking. She was still asking when they went to start thier guardian duties. Walking in the hall, Zero tried to get away from her, but as Zero soon found out luck was not on his side today either. Zero rounded the corner and for the second time in the space of 24 hours he ran smack into Kuran. Zero quickly stepped back causing Yuuki to run into him. Yuuki fell over Zero and in the blink of an eye Kuran caught her before she could hit the floor. ‘That’s were my new speed came from,’ Zero thought to himself.

“You both seem to be in quit a rush. Is there something wrong?” Kuran asked.

“Kaname, I’m so sorry. Are you okay?” Yuuki asked, blushing as she realized who had caught her.

“I’m fine, Yuuki. What is the matter? You look upset.” Kuran asked, glaring at Zero. ‘Oh great, Yuuki gets upset and Kuran thinks it’s my fault.’ Zero thought. ‘I am usually right.’ Kuran thought right back. ‘Quit doing that!’ Zero exclaimed in his mind. Kuran just chuckled. Yuuki looked up confused. “Kaname?” she asked. “What is bothering you Yuuki?” Kuran asked gently as he helped her stand and pulled her back against him. Yuuki was facing Zero, with her back against, Kaname; she could feel his muscles through his clothes. ‘Oh my god,’ she thought ‘this is just like my fantasies.’ She looked into Zero’s eyes and he could see the lust deep in them. Zero swallowed hard. Kuran could not see her eyes, but he could smell her arousal. He grinned and thought, ‘This could be fun.’
“I want to know what you and Zero discussed yesterday, Kaname.” Yuuki stated when she had her breath back and had calmed her racing heart if just a little.
‘Ahh, so that’s it,’ Kuran thought. ‘So you have not told her, Kiryu?’ Kaname asked to Zero. ‘No, I didn’t. I don’t think she needs to know,’ Zero thought back. ‘But, it seems as though our gentle Yuuki wants to know, Zero.’ Zero flinched slightly at Kuran calling him is given name for the first time. ‘Let’s see what happens, shall we,’ Kaname thought to Zero.
“If you really want to know what happened, Yuuki. Then become my lover.” Kuran said calmly.
Yuuki jumped and watched as Zero started. ‘Had she just heard, Kaname, right?’ she thought.
“I’ll give tonight to think about it. You can give me your answer in the Moon Dorms after Night Class is over.” Kuran said.
“Will you really tell me?”
“Yes, as my lover you will be able to know more than you do now. Being my lover means that I can protect you. Think about it I will be awaiting your answer. Kiryu, you will be escorting her. We have some unfinished business to attend to. So until later, I bid you goodnight.” Kuran stated.

Zero and Yuuki watched him as he walked down the hall and through the library room door. Yuuki walked zombie like down the hall and out the door. She walked until she came to the gardens. The gardens always made her feel calm. She sat down on the bench deep in thought. ‘What should I do?’ she thought.
Zero watched as they both walked away. One calm and certain, the other deep in thought. ‘What game are you playing at now, Kuran?’ Zero thought.
