Chapter Four
The Pokémon Watcher woke up the next morning feeling better than he had in days. Perhaps it was the comfortable bed he was currently lying in with it’s hills of soft Taillow feather pillows, or the wonderfully cool atmosphere created by the central air system. More than likely it was the slumbering red head to his left who last night had given him a very pleasurable hand job; the remnants of which had dried in his briefs. Alas, he knew that no matter how good it had felt, it must never under any circumstances happen again.
The friends had grown close over the years, this was just one of several times he had stayed and helped her out with the gym. They had shared countless hugs, kisses on the cheeks, and shared drinks together shoulder to shoulder in the hot tub. He just prayed things wouldn’t be too awkward today. It was probably just her hormones, as well as the loneliness she had been feeling, or maybe that was just his conscience making up excuses. Tracey turned his head to look at her and noticed she was beginning to stir.
“Mornin’.” She murmured.
“Should you be sleeping on your stomach like that?”
“Hmm...”
“Never mind. I’m gonna go take a shower.”
Misty rolled over with a grunt, Tracey simply smiled and shook his head, making his way to the bathroom, feet padding lightly on the hard wood floor. He was busy washing his hair when he heard the door open and Misty walk in. It was of course the only bathroom in the apartment so he had to leave the door unlocked incase she needed to pee as he figured this was the case. He heard the toilet flush and then jumped back when the shower curtain was pulled to the side.
“God Misty, you scared me!”
“I’m sorry.”
“Everything ok?” Never mind the fact that he was naked trying to rinse his hair.
“I’m sorry about last night.”
“It’s... uh..., look, I know it was just, well you know... hormones... but it’s partially my fault too, I could have said no but I didn’t.”
She nodded her head.
“Anyway, I was just gonna collect your laundry, is there anything else you need washed?”
“Misty you don’t have to-”
“Yeah I do, we never cleaned up a-”
She stopped mid sentence and took a step back, quickly removing her pajama bottoms, panties and the tank top she wore leaving herself completely naked. Tracey’s mouth went dry. God she has a great pair of tits. He shook his head to clear it and then spoke.
“Misty what are you doing?” Why did he even bother asking that question? As if it weren’t perfectly obvious what she was doing.
The red head stepped into the shower and joined the dumbfounded Watcher under the spray of water. Her blue eyes met his brown, and she smiled, reaching for the shampoo.
“Misty you know I’m gay right?”
“Tracey, you’re bi, everyone knows it.” She said with a laugh. “Besides what’s that got to do with anything?”
“You have a boyfriend, whose baby you’re carrying and you’re naked in the shower with another man.”
“Then why are you still in here?”
I can’t believe this is happening. Tracey swallowed, he was nervous, as if Ash himself would burst through the door at any second with Pikachu ready to Thundershock them both into oblivion, the hot water only adding to the electric attack’s effectiveness. She quickly rinsed her hair and then grabbed the bar of soap and washcloth lathering it up in her hand. Brushing past him, he thought she would begin to wash her own body in which case he would make his escape, instead he felt the washcloth being dragged down his back and this circular massaging motion that had him bracing himself against the tiled wall in pure bliss.
“Mis-” All words suddenly failed him.
“Shh, you don’t have to say anything, you took care of me last night, and I want to do this for you now.”
He groaned as practiced fingers trailed over his body, he hadn’t realized how much tension he was holding in his muscles, it seemed to wash away with the soapy water down the drain. He briefly pondered how many times she had done this for Ash, perhaps after he had lost a battle, sweaty with wounded ego. She washed each arm and under, instead of turning him around, she snuck under his out stretched left arm and coming up in front commenced the washing of his torso. He knew she was aware of his erection, which she seemed to purposely brush the small swell of her belly against, but instead she made her way down his legs, kneading each thigh and calf, scrubbing the rough skin of his knees, washing gently between each toe, completely neglecting his genitals.
When her job was done, she stood and rinsed the cloth, lathering it with the bar of soap to wash her own body. Tracey watched in awe, a battle raging in his mind, vaguely aware that the calming scent now penetrating his skin was lavender. He knew it was wrong to gaze at her wet soapy body, his cock hard, begging to be handled, but the side of him that loved a beautiful woman couldn’t help himself. Misty had finished washing and stood under the spray to rinse her body, she had her back to him, her face pointed toward the shower head, as the water streamed down her hair. The Watcher paid special attention to her abdomen, wondering why he was so attracted to the small expanse of her pregnant belly and the life growing inside. This should be Ash. He thought, finding himself jealous of the father to be. Was it selfish to hope that he didn’t make an appearance until after the birth? Misty’s voice brought him out of his reverie.
“I’m done, you should rinse off, the soap is starting to dry.”
She stepped out of the shower, slipped on her bath robe and exited the steamy room, leaving Tracey staring in bewilderment at the space she had a just vacated.
*))O((*
With a heavy sigh, Misty signed her name to the five hundred dollar check to the city, leaving the bare minimum in the gym’s account so she wouldn’t have to pay the penalty to the bank. After sealing it in an official Cerulean City Gym envelope, she took a moment to check Ash’s App. It said simply, “I’m on a boat!”. Well, that left much to the imagination, he could be heading to any number of islands, or even right back to Kanto aboard the Saint Ann II. The red head huffed and shut the phone in the top drawer of her desk. She hoped to get a few laps in before another trainer challenged her to a battle. Speak of the devil, as she entered the pool area, there stood that kid with the Charmander, his friend no where to be seen. Misty groaned and then began to panic, where was Tracey? He should be here to keep an eye on things while that kid was in the gym, she certainly didn’t want a repeat of last time.
“I challenge you!” He shouted when she emerged from the corridor.
“I see that. Could you hold on for like one minute, I need to get something.” With both hands holding her belly, she walked as fast as she could down the corridor to the aquarium where she knew she might find Tracey sketching away to his hearts content. She was right, there he was in his swim trunks sitting on the edge of a tank sketching a Mudkip.
“Tracey, good thing I found you.”
“What’s up?” He asked closing his sketch book and placing his pencil behind his ear.
“That kid I told you about with the Charmander is back, could you come into the gym and watch the match?”
“Yeah sure.” Tracey carefully climbed down the ladder and slipped his flip flops on his feet. “Do you think he at least trained some more?”
They began to walk back into the gym, Tracey being ever the gentleman opening doors and guiding the young woman through with a hand on the small of her back.
“I don’t know... he only had two Pokémon last time. Come to think of it, I don’t even know what the other one was.”
“Well, there he is waiting, with Charmander already out. Look at that, you were right, his eagerness does remind me of Ash.” The Watcher stated with a chuckle and went to go sit on the bleachers.
“I guess I better get this over with.” Misty walked straight up to the little boy and extended her hand, which he did not take, leaving her to bring it awkwardly back down to her side. “I’m Misty, Leader of the Cerulean City Gym, I propose a two on two battle, if you win you will earn the Cascade Badge.”
“And I propose a three on three battle, and there is no “if” toots, I’ll be winning that Cascade Badge so don’t you go worrying your pretty little head about it.”
Misty sighed, at least he hadn’t called her a bitch; she glanced at Tracey, who gave her a thumbs up and a wink.
“Three, on three it is. I’ll be using, Staryu, Goldeen, and... uh... eh what the heck, Psyduck! Come here Psyduck!” The duck Pokémon seemingly appeared out of no where and waddled next to his trainer.
“I will be using Charmander, Pidgey and Caterpie.”
“Ok, well, um... wait a minute kid. What’s you name?”
“Gerald, but my friends call me Jerry, you however, may call me sir.”
“I... think not.” Misty walked to the edge of the pool and stepped on to her red platform. “That blue platform is yours. When I say begin, your Pokémon can take the first move.” She waited for him to get situated and then shouted “begin”.
“Charmander go!”
“Psyduck go!”
“Charmander use ember!”
Before the weak flame could hit, Psyduck simply jumped into the pool and bobbed up and down on the surface like a buoy. Tracey was happy to see that the Pokémon had finally learned how to swim and clearly enjoyed the water now.
“Psyduck use scratch!” Misty called Psyduck’s easiest attack knowing that it would knock the Charmander out in one hit, and she was right. All Psyduck had to do was swipe it with one arm and Charmander fainted. As Jerry angrily returned his Pokémon to it’s Pokéball, Psyduck did a victory dance that predominately consisted of it shaking it’s butt.
“Pidgey, I choose you, go! Use Sand Attack!”
Great now I have to vacuum the bottom of the pool again! Misty thought as the Tiny Bird Pokémon essentially threw sand into the water, which didn’t effect Psyduck at all, who was still dancing on the platform.
“Ok Psyduck, use Tail Whip!” Seeing as you’re whipping it around already. Misty watched in amusement as the small Pidgey was sent flying with a surprised squawk when Psyduck’s huge butt and tail whacked into its whole body.
Jerry on the other hand was not the least bit entertained. He recalled his Pidgey and screeched with rage.
“Go Caterpie! Kill that fucking Psyduck!”
At that expletive, Tracey stood, gripping the metal hand rail his knuckles going white as he stared daggers at the kid. Misty rolled her eyes at the very fat Caterpie who was half heartedly performing String Shot. I’m ending this now, this kid just has absolutely no clue.
“Psyduck, please use Hydro Pump.” Misty said quietly to the Pokémon by her side.
The Caterpie had no chance, the pressure from the water caused it to quickly sink to the bottom of the pool, where upon Jerry dove in after it.
“What the hell is he doing?!” Tracey yelled and jumped down from the bleachers. He ran to the edge of the pool and jumped in. A moment later emerging with a spluttering little boy who was clutching a knocked out Caterpie.
“Get off me, get off! Don’t touch me ya gay pervert!” Instead of Tracey helping Jerry out of the pool he let him go and swam to Misty’s platform.
“Yeah, notice how I didn’t jump in after him? Let the little monster learn his lesson.”
“I was gonna say that Hydro Pump was uncalled for, but did you hear the mouth on that kid? Jeez, I should have called Scyther on him!”
They both sat down on the edge with their feet in the water watching Psyduck swim circles around the little boy as he struggled to get himself and his overly obese Caterpie out of the pool.
“How much do you think that Caterpie weighs?”
“Ooo, I’d say a good twenty pounds at least. At what point should we help him?”
“When it finally sinks in that he shouldn’t call people gay and bitch, or when he actually does sink in.”
“What ten year old calls a person a gay pervert? I almost feel sorry for him... I mean, what if he was in an abusive household or something?”
“Tracey, stop. Now you’re making me feel sorry for him. Ugh! Psyduck, get that kid and his Caterpie out of my pool!”
“Psy!” The very enthusiastic duck Pokémon used his head to nudge the trainer and the Caterpie out of the pool and onto the tiled edge.
“I didn’t need any help from you.” He managed to say between groans.
“Good, cause next time you’re not getting any.” Tracey called.
“Shut up fag.” Jerry rolled onto his back and was obviously trying to calm his breathing down.
“Psyduck, keep an eye on him, if he tries to go anywhere use Confusion on him. Got it?”
Psyduck simply sat on the boy’s chest eliciting a grunt from him.
“Get... it... off...”
“Come on Tracey, I do believe we have a certain officer of the law to call.”
“I dare say you’re right Misty.”
Misty slipped her arm through Tracey’s and together they walked to the back office.
“I can’t believe that freakin’ kid!” Tracey shouted as he practically slammed the door. He took the receiver out of Misty’s hand, placed it back on the base and brought her to his wet chest in a hug. “You shouldn’t be battling any more, stress like that isn’t good for the baby.”
The red head looked up at him and sighed resting her head on his shoulder.
“I know, but I need the money. I just wrote a five hundred dollar check this morning. That leaves 14,500 left to be paid.”
“We can think of another way to raise money.” He raised the receiver to his ear. “I’ll call Officer Jenny, you go upstairs and rest.”
“You’re a great friend Tracey.” Misty smiled and placed a hand on his cheek, she then surprised him with a gentle kiss on the lips. “I’ll be in the kitchen if you need me.”
The Watcher brought his fingertips to his lips, brushing over the spot where she had kissed him. He stood dumb struck, the receiver still in his hand, the dial tone having switched to permanent signal. The kiss felt pleasant, tender and the feeling lingered, or perhaps he was reading too much into it? Then why did it feel more intimate than what they had done just a few days prior?
It took Officer Jenny only five minutes to get to the Gym, Tracey however knew it was going to take much longer to sort this whole mess out. Technically bad mouthing wasn’t against any League regulations, it might not be enough to be banned from a Gym.
“You again?” Officer Jenny looked down at the little boy Psyduck was still firmly sitting on. “What’d he do this time?”
“Well, you see Officer Jenny, during the battle with the Gym Leader, he said, and I quote ‘Kill that effing Psyduck’. He was also very rude to myself as well as Ms. Waterflower.”
“And you would be?”
“Tracey Sketchit, I’m a Pokémon Watcher from the Orange Islands.”
“That’s... fantastic.” The police officer stated sarcastically, rolling her eyes. “What’re you doing here?”
“Well... normally I’m down in Pallet Town working as Professor Oak’s assistant but from time to time I come up to Cerulean City and help out here at the Gym.”
“Lovely- wait Professor Oak?”
“Yes ma’am.”
“The famous Pokémon Researcher?”
“That would be him.”
“Yeah, I ain’t exactly the academic type... but I’ve heard of him.” She bent down and pulled Psyduck off of Jerry. “You ok kid?”
“No, I wanna press charges, that fat ass Psyduck broke my ribs!”
“Hey, watch your language kid!” Officer Jenny looked at Tracey. “I see what you mean about the mouth on this one. He’s obviously not hurt, but if the Gym Leader wants to ban him officially she’s gonna have to put in a report with the Pokémon League. Where is she anyway?”
“Upstairs, I’ll go get her.”
A few minutes later Tracey emerged with Misty who was still in her bathing suit, Officer Jenny’s eyes widened at the sight of her pregnancy.
“You didn’t tell me she was expecting.”
“Well no... I mean-” The young man stammered.
“Congratulations daddy!” The officer slapped the highly embarrassed Watcher on the back causing him to jerk forward, his face Cheri Berry red. “This changes everything!” She bent down to the Trainer again. “Kid, you’re under arrest for threatening a pregnant Gym Leader and her Pokémon, what would you’re mother say? Have you no respect?”
Jerry simply sighed and sat up, clearly not in any kind of pain.
“I’ll have respect, when they give me some first!”
“You don’t deserve any, you came in here acting like I should just give you the Cascade Badge, and you even said I should call you ‘sir’ when you’re only ten years old!” Misty explained with annoyance. “You called me toots!”
“Calm down Ms. Waterflower, this kid wont be bothering you any more. He is officially banned from this Gym, now I’ll handle this, and you go and take it easy.”
“Thanks Officer Jenny.”
“Eh, no problem.” She grabbed Jerry by the arm and yanked him up. “That your Caterpie? God it’s huge! Add that to the charges, endangering the life of a Pokémon, you should be ashamed of yourself.”
Misty let out a huge sigh of relief as Officer Jenny dragged Jerry and his Caterpie out of the Gym, she would never have to battle that kid again and hopefully never have to see him anywhere either. When she was sure that they had exited the lobby, she went and locked the glass doors, switching the sign to “Closed” and activated the alarm system. She came back to the pool to find Tracey and Psyduck mopping up the space where Jerry had been lying.
“Tracey, you don’t need to do that, just let it air dry.”
“He peed.”
“Eww... you poured bleach?”
“Yeah, disgusting kid.”
Misty nodded her head and smiled.
“So...”
“Don’t say it.”
“Daddy.”
“Why didn’t you correct her?” Tracey asked, ceasing his mopping.
“Why didn’t you?”
“I guess for the same reason you didn’t.”
“That being?” Misty became rather nervous, she felt slightly afraid of what Tracey would say because she knew that whatever it was, it was going to be the truth.
“I didn’t want her going back to the precinct and talking shit.” It was very unusual for the Watcher to use such foul language and it surprised the red head. “Even if you had told her that Ash was the father, she would have gone back to work spreading rumors about us. I don’t want your reputation ruined, you’re a Gym Leader, the League wants perfection, if they found out there was an unwed teenage mother acting as Leader, they would close the Gym. It’s much easier for her and the rest of them to think that we’re having a baby together because they see me here, than what the truth really is.”
The young woman nodded and tried to hug her friend, but he stepped back.
“Misty, you have to tell Ash.” Tracey placed the mop against the wall and walked away.
