Disclaimer: I don't own Heaven's Lost Property or any of the characters (save any OCs I bring in). This does have romance in it, and it may get rated R, so be warned. There IS some swearing in this story, so beware of that. Remember that the Heaven's Lost Property series was designed for kids, so they made sure no swearing made it into the show. This author is more realistic though. I sincerely doubt that when one of his Angeloids were hurt, Tomoki would just get angry, it is this author's belief he'd be infuriated.

I am finally starting to work on HLP once more. This will be a somewhat more fun chapter, but will have some serious moments as well within. I hope you all enjoy and will continue to read as more chapters are uploaded.

For the unanswered Private messages, I will say the following: Asuka is a main character of this story alongside Tomoki himself. They may be the same person, but the way Tomoki acts as Asuka is different. It is through this persona that he is learning what a girl truly goes through.

Also in this chapter, Ikaros and Nymph will work together to perfect the transformation. This means that even if Asuka gets overly excited, the illusion will not fade. Read on to find out how they pull off this feat. This chapter is also longer than my other chapters despite taking place only in one day of time. This is because this day is significant on many levels. I apologize for the length, but please bear with it if you enjoy this story.

Chapter 5: Violet Decisions

Over the next six months, Sohara had gotten used to living with the three Angeloids and Asuka.

Asuka and Sohara consistently spent time with Astrea. Nymph was jealous of this extra attention the blonde received, but she didn't act on it. She knew precisely why they were showing her so much affection and attention. They were trying to ensure that Astrea knew what compassion and kindness was truly like. Over the six months, Astrea was starting to act a bit differently. She had warmed up to the other four members of the household nicely. She had even learned how to cook some meals and was learning how to bake from Sohara. What they did not know was that Astrea had been practicing baking in secret, trying to perfect the art.

Nymph asked, "Asuka, when are we going to stop focusing on Delta?"

Asuka whispered, "When I see that she is free of that bastard Mithos' control. You know what it was like for you under his control, I don't want to see Astrea to remain in the same position. It is taking a lot longer with her because she has a strong will and is not the type to betray her master easily. I also want her to desire to be free Nymph."

Nymph stretched and said, "Still, I can't help but wonder if she will ever break free? I mean she still has her mission and yet she has made no mention of it for about three months now."

Asuka said, "It is entirely possible that she is starting to see things from a kind point of view. I can only hope that this really is the case."

Nymph smiled and said, "You've grown fond of her, haven't you Asuka?"

Asuka flushed for a moment then said, "I guess so. She is such a cheerful person it is kind of hard not to like her."

Nymph whispered, "That and she's beautiful."

Asuka said, "Yes, she is beautiful, but that has very little to do with it Nymph. All of you girls mean so much to me that I couldn't part with any of you. I can't wait for tomorrow Nymph, it is the last day before Christmas holidays. You will love Christmas Nymph, there are pretty lights everywhere and we will even have a tree in this house covered in decorations. Oh and I can't forget the food and the presents. It is one of my favorite times of year."

Nymph said, "I see, well it sounds like it will be fun." She looked back and saw Astrea walking up and said, "Hey Delta, what did you make this time?"

Astrea beamed and said, "Chocolate cake, Sohara helped me make it!"

Nymph took a piece and had a bite of it. She said, "It is really good Delta, you have gotten great at this."

Astrea laughed and said, "Practice makes perfect as Sohara says." She sat down next to Asuka and looked at her then asked, "Tell me something, over the last six months you have spent so much time with me, why? You haven't forgotten my mission have you?"

Asuka looked into the blonde's ruby colored eyes and said, "No, I haven't Astrea. That said, until you actually do attack me, I want to enjoy every day I possibly can. Besides, if I remember correctly, your mission is to kill Tomoki Sakurai. I don't see him around here, do you?"

Astrea grinned and said, "That's why I haven't had to go through with my mission. The fact that you changed into this form means I am free of that mission until you return to your normal form."

Asuka rubbed Astrea's head and said, "I get it now, well then I guess I will just have to stay in this form for the time being, won't I?"

Astrea sighed happily and said, "That'd be nice."

Nymph smiled then went into her room.

Asuka said, "It is late Astrea, go to your room and get some rest-oh that's right you don't sleep. Well relax your body then and we will get ready for school tomorrow."

Sohara stretched as she slowly sat up the next morning. She got up, dressed in a pair of pink pajamas and opened her window. She slid it open and looked out the window. She breathed in the cool morning air and shivered slightly from the cold around her. The door opened behind her and she spun around. Asuka was standing there with a tray of food. She sat it down and Sohara sat down next to her. She whispered, "Asuka, thank you. You have no idea how much it means to me that I don't have to leave you all."

Asuka looked at her and said, "Actually, I have a pretty good idea. Nymph is already cleaning the house up alongside Ikaros and Astrea is standing by the door watching for threats. She has changed a lot in the past six months. I can hardly remember that she was sent down here to kill Tomoki Sakurai."

Sohara smiled and said, "Well, for all intents and purposes, Tomoki has disappeared from this world, so she can't exactly kill a phantom. Of course, I really hope she will break free soon. I'm surprised Mithos hasn't put a bomb in her collar yet. He did that to Nymph after just a few days of her failing her mission."

Astrea was actually listening into their conversation, unknown to them and thought, "No Master, you wouldn't have done that, not to Nymph. They can't be correct with this."

Asuka said, "Still, we managed to stop that bomb and get it disarmed, Sugata made sure of that. Where have Sugata and Mikako been these past six months anyways?"

Sohara thought for a moment then said, "I believe they said they would be back in time for christmas in their last letter. Apparently he is in Africa right now. He said that he wanted to look into some vegetation around the world. It has something to do with the Synapse he said."

Asuka said, "So that's why we haven't seen him around since shortly after my arrival from Tokyo."

Sohara asked, "What do you want to do about her? I mean eventually she will have to either attack or leave for the Synapse again."

Asuka sighed and answered, "I don't know Sohara. If I had my way, Astrea would remain with us forever. I love her to pieces and I know you feel the same way!"

Sohara said, "Yeah, she's one of a kind, I adore her so much! I've noticed that her wings and yours are drooping a lot lately, is there something wrong?"

Asuka blinked then said, "I don't know, they just started doing this a couple of days ago, maybe I'll have Nymph look at them after school today. I don't want to see our wings start to molt or anything like that. I just wish Astrea could be free to make her own choices, she is such a wonderful girl and doesn't deserve to be controlled by a madman. Even Nymph loves her to pieces. Sure she may deny it to our faces, but I have found her helping her out in many aspects of her life."

Astrea shed a tear in the hallway and it fell to the floor. She held her hand to her cheek and thought, "I'm crying? Why? This doesn't add up." She held her chest and found that it was hurting a bit. She quickly ran from the hallway, or rather flew because she didn't want them to hear her footsteps.

Asuka took Sohara's hand and said, "We will figure this all out. The secret meaning of my dreams, the Angeloid's future and everything else surrounding these mysterious happenings. I want you and the others with me while I perform this action, for I cannot think of anyone more suited to support me than you girls."

Sohara smiled and said, "You know I am with you and I always will be. I-"

There was a knock at the door and she jumped when she saw it was Nymph who looked upset.

Asuka stood up and enveloped her wings around Nymph and asked, "What is wrong Nymph?"

Nymph asked, "What...is going to happen to me? I have no wings, no master...what am I really supposed to do here?"

Asuka saw there were tears in her eyes and sighed before she said, "That...is up to you Nymph. I will not force you to become my Angeloid."

Nymph asked, "Why not? Am I not good enough for you, is that it? Astrea would be in a second and you know it! Is it because I don't have wings? Is it because I am broken to you? What is it Tomoki! Maybe you don't like blue hair? Or maybe I'm not powerful enough for you!"

Sohara said, "That isn't it." She was standing now and staring at the two of them before she said, "Don't you get it Nymph? She doesn't want to force you into a bond that you are not ready for. You were that bastard's Angeloid for a long time and he did nothing but hurt you. Maybe Asuka is afraid of hurting you?"

Asuka turned her head to the side and said, "Even that isn't correct Sohara. I care about Nymph and know that she has free will right now. If I were to give her an order, she could very well tell me to go screw myself and drop dead. If I ordered Ikaros to kill herself, she would do it without hesitation. I would never do that, but to have that kind of power over another living being is insane to me. I don't want to force you into that situation."

Nymph sniffed and said, "I see." She looked down and then was surprised when Asuka's wings slipped around her. She looked up at her and asked, "What is it Asuka?"

Asuka said, "Let me think on it for a while okay Nymph?" She kissed the top of Nymph's head then said, "Alright, get ready for school, it is our last day before Christmas break and it also means that girls are allowed to wear a Santa hat to school if they want."

Nymph nodded as the wings were removed from being around her. She didn't know why, but those wings always made her feel safe. When they were around her, nothing would ever hurt her. It was then and there that she swore to herself to protect Asuka, Alpha and Delta with all her might. She smiled and ran off to her room to go and get ready.

Asuka yawned and then said, "Come on Sohara, let's get ready, we don't want to be late." She had brought her uniform with her and began to change into it right there.

Sohara flushed and asked, "W-wait a minute, why are you changing right here?"

Asuka blinked then answered, "Why does it matter? We've changed in the changing rooms before. Not to mention I'm a girl right now, so it doesn't really make a difference."

Sohara said, "I guess that makes sense." She too stripped down and began changing into her uniform. When she was done, she saw that Asuka was having trouble with her bra.

Asuka grumbled, "How do girls get used to these stupid things?"

Sohara sighed and went behind her and helped her put it on and clipped it on and whispered, "Adjust yourself to fit properly then finish getting ready. I guess you still aren't used to bras."

Asuka adjusted herself and then looked at herself in the mirror. She asked, "How do girls avoid staring at themselves all the time?"

Sohara laughed and said, "Sometimes we do stare at ourselves in the mirror, but it's not because of the way we look. We worry about our weight and that our hair looks good and many other things."

Asuka stared at herself some more and said, "I had no idea that so much thought and planning went into how girls look."

Sohara said, "Most guys don't realize it, but it is true. Some girls don't care that much, but some really take pride in their appearance."

Asuka slipped on her uniform and had her wings go through the slits and flapped them a few times experimentally. She asked, "I wonder what Ikaros or Nymph think of themselves when they look in the mirror?" She picked up a brush and began to run it through her hair. When she felt no more tangles, she reached into the desk and pulled out a hair tie. She began to spin her hair slowly and kept it tightly together until she tied it at the bottom. Her hair was tied in a long braid.

Sohara watched as Asuka prepared her hair style and thought, "Impressive, in such a short time she has gotten used to an advanced hair tie method." She asked, "Why don't you ask them?"

Asuka said, "I might do that someday...come on, let's get going." She slipped on her skirt and then pulled up her socks.

When the two entered the kitchen, they found the three Angeloids ready to go, but from the sound of Astrea's stomach rumbling, none of them had eaten. Asuka chuckled softly and rubbed the top of Astrea's head and said, "You are so honest Astrea, I like that about you." She walked to the fridge and pulled out the remnants from where she had made food an hour ago. She placed a plate in front of Astrea and saw that Ikaros and Nymph were waiting. She asked, "Aren't you two going to eat?"

Nymph said, "Alpha and I already ate, but Delta refused to eat until you came down. She said it was something like a code she had."

Asuka said, "I see, well don't forget to have some milk before you go."

Nymph was holding a glass and said, "We already did that, we just need Delta to finish up and...eat?"

Astrea wiped her mouth with a napkin and said, "I'm done."

The group turned to stare at her in surprise, the girl had finished eating in a couple of minutes.

Asuka and Sohara started to laugh in unison. Sohara went over and hugged Astrea and whispered, "You are really amazing Astrea, you know that right?"

Astrea looked at Asuka, a little confused before the group left for school.

As they walked, Asuka asked, "Astrea, why did you wait for me to eat?"

Astrea flushed for a moment then said, "W-well you're letting me stay there for free! I couldn't just eat without my provider present, it is rude!"

Asuka said, "Even though your mission is to kill said provider?"

Astrea flinched and said, "That is not my idea Asuka and you know it! My master ordered that and I will perform my mission, even if I don't want to."

Asuka said, "Then why have you not performed your mission? Normally an Angeloid prizes the mission above all else. Last I checked Ikaros would have completed a task such as this a long time ago."

Astrea took a step back and said, "B-but I-I don't want to kill you or anyone! My original programming was to be a soldier with honor! Attacking a downer who cannot defend herself is deplorable."

Asuka held up her hand and closed her eyes. She cried out, "Target lock on!" Her eyes changed from violet to a deadly shade of red as a missile appeared and crashed next to them. She said, "As you can see, I can clearly defend myself Astrea. I am not just some simple downer as you so plainly put it. Thanks to the transformation, I can hold my own against an Angeloid in combat, or are you calling me weak?"

Astrea shook her head and said, "N-no I-"

Sohara placed a hand on Asuka's shoulder and said, "That's enough Asuka." She walked over to Astrea and put her arms around the blonde Angeloid who seemed a bit frightened at the moment. She whispered, "Don't take it personally Astrea, she is under a lot of stress right now."

Astrea looked at Asuka then whispered, "What do you mean by stress exactly? What happened?"

Sohara said, "The events that led to her transformation were traumatic. I believe that she truly trusts you but-"

Asuka finished Sohara's statement, "But I want Astrea to make up her damn mind already. Is she going to fulfill her mission or is she going to turn on her master and break free. Unlike Nymph, you and Ikaros both have the strength to forcibly break free and choose your own destiny. I love each and every one of you girls. I have never felt happier in my life than when I met Ikaros, Nymph and you Astrea. On top of that, Sohara is living with me now and I couldn't be happier."

Sohara flushed for a moment then asked, "Why me? I'm not even an Angeloid."

Asuka said, "You already know the answer to that question Sohara. You are my dearest friend and no matter what the future holds, I know you will always have my back. I trust all of you with my lives and to prove it, I am going to do something a little unorthodox today. Nymph and Astrea will be in charge of guarding me today. Ikaros, no matter what Astrea does, you are to stay out of it, that's an order."

Ikaros gasped then said, "Y-yes master."

Asuka smiled then said, "See you at school." She took off like a rocket and began to fly towards the school.

Astrea watched her go then her eyes glowed red and said, "That idiot!" She took off to follow her.

Nymph laughed and said, "Delta was always a simpleton at best, but she has a big heart." She froze as her eyes glowed red for a split second then returned to their pretty dark blue.

Sohara asked, "What is it Nymph?"

Nymph said, "No, it's nothing." She shook her head and thought, "It must be a glitch, the signal vanished immediately."

When they arrived, Asuka opened her locker to find a large pile of love letters that fell out onto the ground. She sighed and placed them back in her locker and said, "I will read them later."

Sohara elbowed her and said, "What a popular girl you are, at least the boys stopped chasing me around. About time you got a taste of what it was like."

Asuka grinned and flapped her wings cheerfully before the group went to class. She wondered if all girls felt happy to receive letters like that, even if she was in reality Tomoki.

When she sat down, she saw that there was something in her desk. She pulled out a wrapped present. "To Asuka from Nymph." Her eyes widened and she opened the package to find a strange tube that said "Wing Care" on it. She looked at Nymph who walked over to her desk and said, "You haven't been taking care of your wings. See how they are droopy a bit? You need to care for them, I started caring for Delta's wings myself. She is a bit dense about it, but you are smarter than that. You have to use this tube of muck to care for them. After a bath or cleaning yourself, you have to rub this stuff into the base of your wings. It will automatically spread out and revitalize them. To keep them looking beautiful you must do this."

Asuka asked, "How am I supposed to reach them? They are at the worst part of the back to do it."

Nymph softly answered, "Generally Angeloids get help from another Angeloid for this task. I have been helping Alpha for the past few weeks now. I recommend getting either myself or Sohara to help you, I mean I'd say Delta if she were clever enough for this, but well she does have a mission and it may not be wise to have yourself so unprotected."

Asuka smiled and gave her a hug, much to the dismay of some of the boys in the room, and said, "Thank you Nymph, this is a very thoughtful gift. I promise you, your gift will be one you shall never forget."

Nymph's cheeks turned pink and said, "I-It's nothing at all, just a routine cleaning operation for Angeloids." She spun and went back to her seat and quickly sat down.

Astrea grinned and said, "Nymph likes Asuka, Nymph likes Asuka!"

Nymph said, "Shut up Delta!"

Sohara began to laugh softly then said, "Now now you two, behave, we are in class after all."

The two of them settled down and the class began as usual...with all the guys checking out the three angels in the room.

During their next class, Astrea was struggling with math as usual. Asuka went over to her and pulled a desk up next to hers and whispered, "Astrea, you seem to be having trouble."

Astrea said, "I am not having trouble, err let's see carry the one and the answer is I eat all of the fruit."

Asuka laughed and said, "Well, that's one way to look at it. The question is what would happen if a basket of apples were delivered to the wrong store. The store that ordered the apples asked for half a basket, while another store wanted a full basket of apples. How do they solve this problem Astrea? Come on you can do it."

Astrea rubbed her head then said, "Can't they just share the apples?"

Asuka smiled and rubbed the top of her head and said, "Such an honest answer, no wonder you are such a great girl."

Astrea smiled and asked, "Is that the answer?"

Asuka said, "The answer is that they send the basket to the other store and await the arrival of the half basket they ordered."

Astrea gasped and said, "Oh, I see! Another half basket is coming in the mail."

Asuka laughed for a moment then said, "That's right, how smart you are right now."

Astrea began to flap her wings happily. She was so pleased at getting the answer right that her wings started to blow papers around.

Nymph shouted, "Delta, what have I told you about flapping your wings so hard."

Astrea shrunk in her seat and her wings shrunk.

Asuka said, "Now Nymph, you know she doesn't mean to do it. Astrea, you have to be careful how hard you flap. Those wings of yours have immense power built into them. I should know first hand."

Astrea glanced at Asuka's desk and saw the tube and asked, "What's that?"

Asuka smiled and said, "I will show you tonight alright?"

Astrea grinned and said, "Is it naughty?"

Asuka paled and said, "Not in this lifetime Astrea!"

Sohara started to giggle at Astrea and Asuka's conversation. She watched the two of them carefully and saw what Asuka was doing. The girl was bonding with Astrea slowly but surely.

Astrea sat up straight and thought, "Yes Master?"

Her master's voice rang in her ears, "Why is the human not dead yet?"

Astrea paled then thought, "I can't find him yet. He has disappeared from Japan without a trace Master. I am not a tracking unit!"

Her master growled and said, "You'd best hurry before I lose my patience with you Delta! I sent you down there to kill him, if you can't get him then use Beta over there as bait!"

Astrea thought, "But Master, why use Nymph? Wasn't she your most precious-"

Her master shouted, "Don't argue with me Delta or I'll scrap you! You wouldn't want that would you?"

Astrea froze and then felt Asuka's hand on hers and softly said, "No, I won't do it."

Her master growled out, "What are you talking about Delta, are you not my Angeloid?"

Astrea softly said, "Yes I am, but what you are asking is dishonorable. You know how much honor means to me." She thought, "I want it to be on my terms, understand? That is the only way I will complete this task you have given me."

Her master huffed then said, "Fine, have it your way blonde princess, but don't fail me, got it?"

Astrea nodded then felt him leave her mind. She lowered her head on her desk and said, "I don't feel well Asuka."

Asuka stood up and said, "I am taking Astrea to the nurse's office, she is feeling sick."

The teacher said, "Very well, but if she isn't feeling well in an hour, take her home alright? I don't want to get the students sick."

Asuka nodded and took Astrea's hand and walked out of the class with her. After they got a distance away she said, "He talked to you, didn't he?"

Astrea wiped her eyes and said, "Y-yes, he wants me to use Nymph as bait to lure Tomoki out into the open. I just can't do that, it isn't right. The entire house has been nothing but kind to me. I am so torn Asuka."

Asuka rubbed her head and said, "I can't tell you what to do Astrea, I'm not your master. It seems like you have a terrible choice ahead of you, think you can make it through the day?"

Astrea whispered, "Yes, I just need a few minutes to recover myself. Could you tell me what he did to Nymph?"

Asuka sighed and said, "He planted a bomb in her collar and then had her wings torn off in revenge for her not completing her mission."

Astrea lowered her head and whispered, "That's terrible."

Asuka tilted Astrea's face to look her in the eyes and said, "I won't let that happen to you Astrea. I was unable to stop it happening to Nymph, but never again will I see someone I care about hurt like that. You have my word."

Astrea asked, "Why? I don't get you, I'm your enemy, don't you understand?"

Asuka smiled and kissed her on the forehead then said, "Because I love you. Astrea you are a dimwit at times, but all of us love you. We would do anything to help those we love, its part of what makes us downers human rather than just bugs as Nymph used to call us."

Astrea's eyes widened as she felt the affection coming from Asuka and shuddered with a combination of fear of what her mission entailed and the prospect of what might happen in the future.

Asuka whispered, "I have to get back to class, will you be in soon?"

Astrea nodded and said, "Just go inside, I won't be long."

Asuka looked at her then entered the classroom.

Half an hour later, Astrea walked back in, her head was held high as if she had come to some sort of realization. She didn't tell them what it was, but her countenance was different than before.

Asuka watched her carefully until the end of the class and then got ready to go to gym. She was still a bit nervous about the changing, but she was starting to get used to it. The process had only taken her about six months to do.

When she entered, she found that Astrea was waiting for her. Asuka blinked and asked, "What's up Astrea?"

Astrea bit her lip then said, "Wait until everyone has left please Asuka, I have to talk to you alone."

Asuka felt something was off, but nodded and started to change. She saw that Astrea was changing as well and once they were changed, Sohara looked at them.

Astrea said, "We will be out shortly Sohara. I just need to talk to her for a moment."

Sohara asked, "Everything alright Astrea?"

Astrea nodded and said, "Yes, but it is a private matter."

Sohara rubbed Astrea's shoulder tenderly and said, "Alright, just don't be too long. The class is starting in five minutes." She left, leaving the two of them alone. Nymph had taken one last look before leaving as well.

Asuka leaned on one of the lockers and asked, "Alright, what's going on Astrea? You've been acting weird since the hall."

Astrea said, "I've made my decision."

Asuka blinked and asked, “What decision?”

Astrea moved close to Asuka then pushed her against one of the lockers and said, “This!” She pressed her lips to Asuka's and held the kiss. She closed her eyes, enjoying the sensation of her lips on Asuka's. After about ten seconds, she parted her lips and flicked her tongue against the lavender haired girl's lips. She made certain that Asuka was pinned to the locker behind her.

To say Asuka was stunned would be an understatement. She didn't really understand why Astrea was acting this way, but she was already starting to enjoy the sensations, so she parted her lips and let Astrea's tongue slip into her mouth.

About fifteen minutes had passed since the class had left the changing room when Astrea walked out of the changing room and entered the gym. The sensei had just been about to send someone down for them. She asked, "Astrea, do you know where Kichirachi-San is?"

Astrea said, "Asuka? She said she wanted to have a quick shower before class, she should be up in five to ten minutes."

The sensei asked, "Is everything alright?"

Astrea said, "I was feeling a little sick earlier today so I stayed there and talked with her for a while while I had a shower. Asuka waited until I was done as I was trying to recover myself. She said she wanted to have a shower just in case anything got on her while we were talking."

The sensei sighed and said, "I see."

Sohara saw Asuka come out of the change room ten minutes later. Her hair was wet still from the shower. She saw that Asuka looked shaken, like something had really rattled her. She ran over to her and asked, "What is it? Something happened, didn't it?"

Asuka whispered, "You could say that. Astrea and I talked for a while in the change room, then she kissed me."

Sohara gaped and whispered, "What? She kissed you? What possessed her to do that?"

Asuka said, "I don't know, she told me it was something she had to do, then she just kissed me and pressed us against the locker together. This was after we had showers. Shortly after that, she left for class. She didn't give me any explanation."

The teacher called out, "Girls, are you joining us or what?"

Asuka jumped and said, "Yes sensei, we're coming." She walked back towards the rest of the class and whispered, "We will figure out what it means later."

Sohara blushed and said, "Darn it Astrea, you beat us to the punch."

Asuka asked, "What are you talking about Sohara?"

She laughed and said, "Never you mind Asuka!"

The sensei said, "Now, today we are playing basketball. Normally, I wouldn't say this, but I don't want any flying in this game."

Asuka said, "Is that a crack at our wings?"

The sensei said, "Honestly, yes Miss Kichirachi it is. Your wings give you and the other winged girls an unfair advantage over the rest of the girls."

Astrea growled and stepped between the sensei and Asuka and asked, "You have a problem with her? Do you huh?"

Asuka noticed the way she was acting and placed a hand on her shoulder and said, "Down Astrea, down!"

Astrea whispered, 'You sure?"

Asuka said, "Yes it is fine. Believe it or not, I agree with sensei's statement just now." She unfurled her wings and lifted herself into the air and held the basketball. She flew over to the hoop and dropped the ball into the basket and said, "You see Astrea? If we use our wings, it would be too easy. No one else in our class save Ikaros, you or myself can do this. She's right, it would be unfair." She landed and picked up the ball and said, "It is agreed, no flight will be allowed in the class."

The sensei said, "Good, you should know that I think all of your wings are beautiful. I just don't want the other girls to feel disheartened because they cannot fly."

Asuka smiled and said, "I understand completely what you mean." She looked at Nymph who was looking away, frustrated that she wasn't able to be included in the ones who could fly. She thought, "For Nymph and Sohara, I agree fully."

Astrea whispered, "I guess it would be hardest on Nymph, wouldn't it?"

Asuka nodded then said, "Alright let's play. Astrea, do you know the rules?"

Astrea said, "We throw the ball at people?"

Sohara laughed and said, "No Astrea, Sensei may I take Astrea aside to explain the rules? She hasn't played basketball before."

The sensei tapped her foot and said, "Fine, but make it quick please. For now, girls start on drills."

Astrea listened as Sohara explained the rules of the game. After she was done, Astrea understood how to play but felt Sohara's hand on hers and stopped.

Sohara asked, "Why did you kiss Asuka?"

Astrea flushed and said, "I don't know, I just felt like I had to. I can't explain it."

Sohara whispered, "Sounds like someone is starting to fall for Asuka."

Astrea sputtered, "N-Not on your life." She ran off to join the rest of the class and the game began. Astrea used her speed to her advantage, but Ikaros was right there, blocking her at every turn. She said, "Out of the way Ikaros!"

Ikaros said, "No, I will not move. You want that basket, you go through me."

Astrea glared and said, "You want to go?"

Nymph slipped in and snatched the ball from Astrea and laughed as she passed it to Asuka who jumped and tossed it. The ball bounced off the rim, but Sohara caught it and threw it up again. This time it went in. Nymph walked back to Astrea and whispered, "Even without wings, I can still keep up with you Delta." She laughed happily.

Astrea pouted and said, "Not fair Nymph!"

Sohara smiled at Astrea's frustration, but wondered what was really going on in the blonde's head.

Near the end of the class, the sensei paired the girls up. They were to play some one on one. Asuka ended up paired against Nymph and Astrea against Sohara. Ikaros pulled a watermelon out of her bag and began to rub the top of it.

Asuka spun the ball on her finger and said, "You going to actually try and stop me from getting to that basket Nymph? You know the rules, no special moves allowed."

Nymph smiled and said, "I don't need special moves to defeat you Asuka." She stood in a ready position to stop the ball.

Asuka said, "Don't say I didn't warn you." She started to dribble the ball, then shot towards the basket on the other side of the room. Her speed was impressive, but Nymph was more than ready. She moved to the side as if she were getting out of the way, then flicked her hand between Asuka's hands and snatched the ball and began to dribble the ball towards the other court.

The class watched in awe as the ball went back and forth between the two of them. It was almost like it was a staged performance.

Nymph grinned as she concocted a plan to get Asuka to help her get her basket. She called out, "Think fast!" Then she threw the ball to Asuka who caught it, stunned that Nymph had thrown it to her. Nymph dashed up and snatched the ball once more then lobbed it into the basket. She walked up to Asuka and whispered in her ear, "Never underestimate a strategic genius Asuka, it will never end well for you." She strode past her to sit down.

Asuka stared after her in surprise then chuckled to herself, "That girl, I swear she's hard to read sometimes."

Astrea pouted and started dancing on the spot, "I want my turn, I want it!"

Sohara laughed and said, "Sure Astrea, I get the ball first." She took the ball from the court and started to bounce it in front of her and said, "Let's make it interesting, if I get the basket, you will answer any three questions I ask once we get back home."

Astrea glared then said, "Fine, but if I win, you are taking me to an all you can eat buffet!"

Sohara grinned and said, "Sure Astrea, I agree."

Astrea charged towards her, but Sohara spun around the oncoming blonde. She kept dribbling the ball as Astrea kept trying to take it from her, but Sohara was always one step ahead.

The next time, she whispered to Astrea as she went by, "You're too slow Astrea, I wasn't captain of the basketball team for nothing."

Astrea's eyes widened as she tried again, but Sohara spun and fired the ball into the air. The class watched as it sailed into the net from the halfway point of the court. It bounced on the ground with a resounding smack. Astrea pouted and asked, "How did you do that?"

Sohara answered, "Years of practice Astrea. What you have to understand is that we have the capacity to do almost anything we put our minds to. Looks like you owe me some answers later." She smiled and placed her hand on Astrea's shoulder.

Asuka smiled, she had already known that Sohara had that match in the bag from the start.

The sensei blew her whistle and said, "Alright girls, that's enough for today. You all worked hard, Miss Kichirachi, could I speak to you and Astrea after class?"

The two girls looked at each other then walked over to the sensei as the class entered the locker rooms to shower off.

The sensei asked, "You two were both late today, mind explaining yourselves?"

Astrea said, "I was having trouble with the bra I was wearing. It kept coming out of place, so I asked her to help me."

The sensei looked to Asuka for confirmation who nodded. She then asked, "Alright, Astrea go shower please." Astrea ran off towards the locker room. She looked at Asuka and asked, "So how is girl life treating you Tomoki?"

Asuka gaped and whispered, "How in the world did you know?"

She laughed and said, "You don't recognize me? I was your teacher in Tokyo. Your father wanted me to come to this school to teach to keep an eye on you. I heard from him about the transformation you underwent. I must say, most impressive."

Asuka said, "Its complicated, but the other wings girls have the ability to grant wishes to the one they call Master. I am Ikaros' master."

The sensei smiled and said, "I see, so that is how you completed your disguise. I'd suggest finding a way to strengthen it though. No one else saw it, but during your match with Nymph, your hair flickered black for a split second. It meant you got overly excited during it and nearly shed the disguise."

Asuka gasped and whispered, "Thank god it didn't disappear on the court."

The sensei said, "I'd talk to Ikaros and Nymph about it as soon as you can. Oh and Tomoki, are you behaving yourself in the changing room?"

Asuka smiled and said, "Yes, I was nervous at first, but Sohara helped me through it. Now I have gotten used to it."

The sensei laughed and and said, "I never would have expected to hear that from you of all people. Maybe being a girl opened your eyes a bit." She walked off to let Asuka go and shower off.

Asuka walked in to find that the angeloids were finished showering, but Sohara was staring at Astrea. She asked, "Something up you two?"

Astrea said, "She accused me of trying to steal you for myself!"

Sohara asked, "What else would you call kissing her?"

Ikaros cracked her knuckles, "You kissed her without my permission? What about Nymph huh?"

Asuka said, "Easy Ikaros, easy. Astrea, I think we deserve an explanation."

Astrea sighed and said, "You want an explanation, fine!" She reached to her neck and grabbed hold of the chain. She pulled it hard breaking it from her collar and said, "I decided in the hall that my former master was not worthy of my being his Angeloid. That kiss was to signify my allegiance to you all! I will never hurt Asuka, not even if ordered!"

Nymph whispered, "Wow, I never knew you were thinking so deeply about something Delta, did it hurt?"

Astrea pouted and said, "Yes, it was very painful Nymph, thanks for making fun of me."

Nymph laughed for a moment then said, "I'm not. I'm actually very impressed. You did what I didn't have the guts to do."

Sohara blinked then said, "Wait a minute, does this mean Astrea doesn't have a master anymore?"

Astrea said, "I wouldn't say that persay." She took Asuka's hand and placed it onto her chain and said, "Beginning Imprinting Process."

Asuka gasped as the chain grew and wrapped around her hand. She whispered, "Astrea, are you sure about this?"

Astrea said, "I'm not turning back now, I am your Angeloid now, from this day forth my sword and shield are yours to command."

Sohara beamed and said, "Well then, seems she chose you of her own will."

Nymph said, "That is hardly surprising Sohara. Delta always had a very strong will. She is the only Angeloid I have ever known to forcibly disobey an order from her master. She has done it in the past, so choosing her own master is hardly a shocking revelation."

Asuka smiled then put her wings around Astrea and whispered, "I accept you as my Angeloid Astrea. I promise no one will hurt you again."

Astrea grinned and said, "I'll hold you to that princess." She laughed and walked off to rejoin their class in the next class.

Sohara wiped her forehead and said, "I'm glad that she did that. I have to admit, I was really worried about what we'd do if she turned on us. Ikaros may be able to hold her off, but she is no close quarters combat model."

Ikaros said, "There is a 75% chance that Astrea could defeat me in combat. I am grateful I will not have to fight her."

Asuka rubbed Ikaros' head and said, "Same here, I didn't want us to have to battle her either. Astrea is a sweetheart, isn't she?"

Nymph smiled and said, "She always had a big heart that one. Her honorable behavior were things of legends where we come from."

Asuka groaned and fell to one knee and whispered, "Does the imprinting process usually drain this much energy out of someone?"

Nymph went up to her and studied her carefully and said, "No, it is because she imprinted to you in a disguise. You will have to strengthen that connection back at home in your normal form. Alpha, we will need to find a way to strengthen this disguise."

Ikaros said, "I was already working on that for the past week. It should be ready tonight."

Asuka said, "Guess Tomoki will be showing up tonight for about an hour."

They entered the class to find everyone eating lunch. Astrea had already finished her lunch and was looking longingly at Sohara's cupcake.

Sohara sighed and said, "Take it Astrea, you won't stop staring at it."

Astrea squealed happily and snatched it from Sohara. She began to eat it, slowly for once.

Nymph grinned and said, "That's just like her, she loves sweets more than anything else. I, on the other hand, prefer chips." She took a bite of a potato chip then made a face like she disliked it.

Asuka blinked then took a bite of one of the chips and spat it out and said, "What are these things? They are inedible!"

Sohara flushed and said, "W-well I tried to make potato chips for Nymph. I wanted to give her something nice."

Asuka picked up another chip and looked at it carefully and asked, "Sohara, why does it smell like detergent?"

Sohara gasped and said, "Oh crap, I put detergent on them instead of salt. I'm such a flake, sorry Nymph."

Nymph looked at the bag of chips then she devoured them all in one shot and drank a large glass of water. She said, "It's alright Sohara." She coughed from the fact that it tasted vile and said, "I know you made a mistake with them, but Angeloids can still eat things like that. We just don't like the flavor."

Sohara asked, "Are you sure you're alright?"

Nymph groaned and said, "My stomach will hurt for about an hour, but I will be just fine. I'd rather eat those chips then hurt your feelings. Just please put salt on them next time."

Sohara said, "Alright, but if you start feeling worse, you're going to the nurse's office, understand?"

Nymph looked over and saw that Astrea was eyeing a boy's cupcake now. She grabbed her by the ear and tugged her away and said, "No Delta, that is not okay."

The boy said, "Actually, it is fine Nymph. She gave me an extra sandwich yesterday and I promised her that after I eat lunch today she could have my cupcake."

Nymph blinked then saw Astrea take the cupcake from the boy.

Astrea said, "Thanks, cupcakes are some of my favorite foods. Strange though I don't see the cup."

Asuka laughed and said, "They are usually wrapped in paper to bake. This paper is the cup part of the cake."

Astrea said, "Oh, I see now." She went over to the oven that was in the back of the class and opened it. She was about to reach in and pull out the tray when a hand grabbed hers.

Asuka said, "Astrea, I know you are a bit dense at times, but put on oven mitts."

Astrea's eyes widened and she put on the mitts and flexed it experimentally before she pulled out the tray and turned off the oven. She waited about ten minutes then put icing on them. The icing was her own creation made of chocolate and raspberries. She said, "Alright boys, come get your cupcakes."

The boys stared at her in surprise, then each took a cupcake. One boy took a bite first and gasped after he swallowed it. He said, "These are really good Astrea."

Astrea flapped her wings cheerfully and said, "I know, I made them after all!"

The other boys began to eat them and Asuka took one and took a bite. Her eyes widened and whispered, "Sohara, try this, seriously just do it!"

Sohara took hold of the cupcake and took a bite. She wiped her mouth and said, "This is the best cupcake I have ever tasted. It is light and fluffy, yet sweet at the same time. It isn't even too sweet, how did you pull this off Astrea?"

Astrea grinned and said, "Chocolate cake that I made certain didn't cook too long or too short. I used raspberry and chocolate for the icing. This combined sweet and a tart flavor."

Sohara said, "Maybe a restaurant wouldn't be the best idea, maybe a bakery for her?"

Astrea said, "If she bakes as well as this with other things, I'd say so. She could make a fortune off these."

Ikaros tried one and said, "This really is good Astrea."

Nymph said, "Let me be the judge Alpha, your sense of taste is a bit off." She took a bite then gasped in shock. She whispered, "Not even in the synapse, Astrea did you use any of our abilities to make this?"

Astrea said, "No, just ingredients in the classroom."

Nymph said, "But these aren't even high quality, how?"

Astrea said, "W-well, I did bring the raspberries from home, as well as the baking chocolate." She was blushing by this point.

Nymph stared into her eyes and said, "You really are being honest, Delta, these are amazing. Sohara, we are training her in more cooking techniques. If she could make baked goods like these as desserts at a restaurant, they would sell a lot, almost as much as the food."

Sohara grinned and said, "Absolutely! Nymph, I never knew you had a sweet tooth."

Nymph huffed and said, "I don't! I just know good desserts when I taste them."

Asuka said, "You know, a week after the school gets back into session, there is a cooking contest in the school. We should have Astrea enter."

Astrea said, "W-well I'm not good at cooking normal food yet."

Sohara said, "Oh don't you worry about that, we will train you in that field. The winner gets an all expense paid trip to Hawaii for six. We can't pass this up Astrea, your baking is a shoe in."

Astrea said, "I'll do my best!" She softly said, "It's the least I can do after sneaking behind your back and doing what I did."

Asuka whispered, "You mean that kiss?"

Astrea nodded and said, "I should have told you what I was planning, but I did it on spur of the moment. My decision was still hanging in the balance, then I saw Asuka enter and I knew then and there. I had to be certain, so that's why I did it. The moment that happened, I felt a warmth inside me I had never felt before. That warmth felt like it had washed away all my pain and it made my decision all the easier. He never made me feel that way. All he did was make me feel less about myself when I didn't succeed. He also never took the time to get to know me, all he did was use me as a tool."

Nymph softly said, "I know exactly what she means. All he ever did was cause me immense pain. Why are people like that Asuka?"

Asuka said, "Some creatures are just inherently mean towards others. Generally it is a sign of low self-esteem, otherwise known as self-worth. He must secretly think low of himself, so he puts down others to make himself feel better. I am glad that none of you are his pawns anymore, it means so much to me that you are all happy."

Nymph thought, "Happiness huh?" She asked, "How much longer is today?"

Asuka said, "One more class and it is a party Nymph. Everyone has a secret santa who gives them a present. In ten minutes we will all be rushed out of here and students will go in here one by one. The presents will be placed on the teacher's desk and she will hand them out to the students one by one in class."

Sohara said, "I heard we are even having authentic Chinese food for a treat. Apparently a new Chinese food restaurant opened up and they want to advertise to the students."

Ikaros said, "Chinese sounds good, I wonder what they use for ingredients."

Nymph saw the sensei enter then gasped as she realized she hadn't participated in the secret santa. She ran up to the sensei and whispered, "Can I run out to the stores? I forgot to pick up a gift."

The teacher smiled and said, "Don't worry Nymph, Sohara mentioned that you hadn't done so. Here." She handed Nymph a wrapped gift, "The recipient is on the tag and trust me, she will love it." The teacher shooed the students out.

About half an hour later, the final student left the room and the class was allowed to enter. They all took their seats and the teacher began calling the students up to her desk. She said, "No one is to open the gifts until everyone has one, understood?"

The students all said, "Yes sensei!"

After about fifteen minutes, everyone had a gift. Astrea noted with surprise that hers was from Nymph and it was large. She opened it and found it was a box. When she opened the box, she gasped. There were a number of things inside. She pulled out a dark sapphire blue ribbon and was amazed at its material. It was soft to the touch, yet durable. She reached behind her head and tried to tie her hair up with it, but was having trouble.

Sohara came up behind her and tied her hair back with the ribbon, making it into a pretty bow and said, "It looks good on you, matches your other outfit perfectly."

Astrea smiled and said, "It is such a great gift, and that's not all." She started taking things out of the box. There were about fifty different containers, each with a different spice. There was even nutmeg in the mix. The final item was what caught her eye the most. It was an ornate dagger in a sheathe. She drew it and looked at the blade, it was a silvery color and was double edged. She replaced it into the sheath and saw on the sheath it said, "Delta's Aquatillion." Her eyes watered as she saw the inscription and whispered, "Nymph this is amazing."

Nymph said, "Thank Sohara, she is the one who picked everything out."

Astrea looked at Sohara and asked, "How did you know about this kind of dagger? It is a symbolic blade for knights."

Sohara smiled and said, "I know more than you'd think Astrea." She went back to her desk and opened her gift which was from Astrea. She laughed as she pulled out a stuffed animal. It was a fox, but this one had six tails. It wasn't made in a store either, but had been hand sewn. She asked, "Astrea, how did you make this?"

Astrea flushed and said, "W-well I saw you watching that strange show about the yellow mouse and saw that fox on the show. Your eyes lit up when you watched it, so I knew I had to get you something like it. I couldn't find it in any store, so I asked Nymph to help me sew it."

Sohara hugged it to her chest and said, "It's perfect, thank you!"

Asuka was next to open her gift and stared at it in awe. It was a dagger, much like Astrea's, save it had a green hilt. It had an inscription, "Reminiscence." She looked at it and whispered, "To protect the ones I love huh?" She then noticed another item in the box but quickly closed it so that no one else could see it. She thought, "Sohara, you minx, how could you send something like that to school?" Inside the box was an undergarment set that she certainly didn't want any of the boys to see.

Nymph opened her box next and was startled to say the least. It was a flat device that was around the size of her hand. She turned on the power and saw that it was fully charged. There was a folder on the screen marked, "Open me!" She clicked on it and a bunch of video files were inside. When she started the first one, she found it was the first episode of her favorite Soap Opera which had finished just the previous week. She had come into the show near the end and hadn't seen the beginning of it. She scrolled through and found that every episode was in there and whispered, "This is incredible, I can catch up on them all. Thank you Asuka, this is the best gift ever."

Asuka grinned and said, "I told you that you'd love my gift Nymph."

Nymph wiped her eyes from the tears of joy on her face and said, "What else can this thing do?"

Asuka said, "Almost anything you can imagine. It can play games, make phone calls and even store video and music files. Only the best for you Nymph."

The boys stared at the girls with a bit of jealousy. They wanted that kind of attention from Asuka.

Ikaros raised her hand and said, "Sensei, I didn't get my gift yet."

The teacher smiled and said, "Your gift is from Asuka herself and is waiting for you at home Ikaros. It was too large to bring into class."

The class gasped and looked at Asuka who was smiling while she spun the dagger in her fingers. She said, "You want to know what it is? Come to Tomoki's house after school, I promise you it will be something you won't soon forget."

The sensei smiled and said, "Now I personally have a gift for the whole class, and one to our new exchange students. There is a new girl joining this class, and well she's a bit different."

Asuka straightened up and stared at the sensei and thought, "What is she up to?"

She said, "Come in please."

A girl with dark green hair and violet colored eyes walked in. On her back were wings that looked like they were made of metal.

Asuka gasped and fell out of her seat.

She was caught by Astrea who held her in place and whispered, "What is it?"

Asuka whispered, "She's the angeloid from my dreams, the one that made me take this form."

Astrea gasped and whispered, "W-what?"

The sensei cleared her throat and said, "If Miss Kichirachi is finished with her little show with Astrea, this girl's name is, I'm sorry dear I didn't find it when you were transferred."

The girl's voice came and it was soft, "Cecilia, that is the name I was given." She flapped her metallic looking wings then said, "Despite how these wings look, they are in actuality very soft to the touch." She ran her finger along one of the edges and stared at the Angeloids and said, "It is good to see you three again."

The sensei said, "You know them?"

Cecilia said, "To an extent, rather I know of them." She smiled and something about her just froze Asuka in place. She walked up to Asuka and said, "I don't know you though, why is that?"

Asuka said, "I was abandoned when I was very young and was raised in Tokyo by my adoptive parents."

Cecilia stared at her and said, "Interesting, we will play later on." She laughed softly and then turned to the sensei, "May I sit next to her?"

The sensei said, "Well there is a seat available, sure why not."

Asuka shivered for a moment then looked at the girl more closely. She had the appearance of a girl around Sohara's age and then she realized something, she was older than the Angeloid from her dream.

Cecilia sat down and looked at Asuka, then asked, "Something on my face Miss Kichirachi?"

Asuka said, "Call me Asuka and I'd like to talk to you after the class is over if that is alright."

Cecilia laughed for a moment then said, "I intended on it."

The tension between the two was so thick you could cut it with a knife. Astrea stood up and said, "Sensei, where did she come from? I won't be mean, I just want to know."

The sensei said, "It says here she was sent here from her hometown to observe us and learn from us. As for where, it doesn't really say much."

Nymph asked, "May I see her records for a second? I am a whiz with figuring things out."

The sensei looked at Cecilia who said, "Sure, I have no objections about her looking at them."

Nymph took the documents and began to read. Her eyes widened then she thought, "She has the same build as the second generation Angeloid I heard about before I left the synapse, but why would she be here of all places?"

The sensei asked, "Find something interesting?"

Nymph quickly thought something up then said, "Yes, it would appear her hometown is actually where I was originally from. I'd like to talk to her alone outside for a moment, that alright?"

The sensei nodded and watched the two of them leave the classroom.

Nymph spun on her and asked, "Theta, what are you doing here? You aren't Chaos, but you have her build. What is going on here?"

Cecilia laughed and said, "Believe it or not, I am not working with Mithos, rather with his greatest enemy, your creator."

Nymph froze then whispered, "But that's impossible, Chaos was supposed to be the final Angeloid created."

Cecilia shook her head and said, "Poor naive little Beta. Did you honestly think Epsilon was the last one being created? Now my home address may surprise you."

Nymph took a look at the document then she nearly shouted, "Our place? What in the hell?"

Cecilia grinned and said, "Surprising, isn't it? I was sent to join you, not that you'd believe me."

Nymph shook slightly on the spot then took a defensive stance and said, "What are you really playing at here? She doesn't have the capability to make Angeloids anymore, not after Mithos banished her. Explain yourself now Theta! What is your true objective?"

Cecilia smiled and said, "I feel no reason to explain myself to you Beta. You left the Synapse in disgrace after all."

Nymph said, "Oh you will explain yourself, or the three of us will stop you."

Cecilia laughed softly and said, "You three, take me down? Please, you are not powerful enough for that feat. Even with the Uranus Queen fully unlocked, I could still defeat you all."

Nymph said, "Maybe one on one, but together we would not be an easy team to defeat. Theta, please just tell me the truth."

Cecilia looked at her then said, "Fine, I will tell you. My mission is to observe the humans and ensure they are not abusing Angeloids for their personal gain. I also have no master at this point, just like you currently."

Nymph whispered, "No master? Does that mean you have free will?"

Cecilia said, "Until I choose a master, yes it does Beta. It also means that Asuka and the rest of you are safe. I will say this, we are not enemies. Mithos is my true enemy and I will stop at nothing to destroy him."

Nymph blinked then said, "Wait a minute, Mithos is your enemy? Who told you he was?"

Cecilia said, "That is data I do not have at this point. All I know is that I was programmed with him as my enemy. Apparently his mistreatment of Angeloids is something the Synapse are not happy with. This was proven by Delta breaking her chains earlier today. That Angeloid has a strong will, but she never shattered the bond from Master to Angeloid before. When she did that, I was activated and sent to Earth to investigate the truth behind her actions."

Nymph said, "In otherwords, if her action was not justified-"

Cecilia said, "My orders would be to eliminate her and anyone associated with that decision. Of course, my secondary mission is to find a master who will utilize me for my mission effectively."

Nymph began to pace the hallway as she thought rapidly, "Theta could prove to be a great enemy or a great ally." She turned to her and asked, "If Mithos is your enemy, that makes you our ally, correct?"

Cecilia said, "You could say that, but you could also say I'm your enemy. It all depends on Delta's errant behavior for an Angeloid. As for Asuka herself, she is not my enemy in any way shape or form. She was the aspect that caused the final decision to be made, however, so I have to know more about her. The Synapse is very interested in her as she is not registered at all."

Nymph paused and began to think, she knew that Asuka was in reality Tomoki. This was something she couldn't reveal but she had to say something. She said, "Cecilia, I will grant you permission to join us tonight. However, Asuka is the head of the house and she will make the final decision."

Cecilia smiled and said, "Wise choice Beta, you won't regret that."

Nymph whispered, "I already am-"

Asuka saw them come back in and waited until Nymph sat down next to her. She asked, "Well? Who is she Nymph?"

Nymph said, "Cecilia is Theta, a strategic operations Angeloid. If you want to know more, you will have to speak to her at length. You and Delta are her focus, not me."

Asuka looked at Cecilia who had gotten a plate of Chinese food and was eating it slowly, savoring every flavor in the dish. It was then that she saw something that was not like the Angeloid from her dream. She smiled and thought, "I think I have a solution to this conundrum."

Cecilia looked to Asuka and said, "Oh that's right, I brought a gift for the head of your household. It is in my bag, hold on I will get it." She reached into her bag and pulled out a wrapped gift. Then she waited expectantly for Asuka to open it.

Asuka's hand shook slightly as she tugged on the ribbon and when the present was finally opened. Inside was a key. She picked it up and took a close look at it and thought, "I wonder why she is giving me a key."

Nymph gasped and hissed, "Theta, is that what I think it is?"

Cecilia smiled and said, "Maybe, I will tell you all about it tonight."

Nymph said, "Asuka, don't lose that key. There is only one of it in existence. How she got a hold of it is something I have to hear later."

Asuka wisely pocketed the key into her purse that Sohara had bought her a week ago.

After class, Asuka went to the lockers at the front of the school and switched shoes to her walking shoes. She waited until Sohara, Ikaros, Nymph and Astrea had changed their shoes as well then saw that Cecilia was waiting for them.

Asuka blinked and asked, "Something I can do for you Cecilia?"

Cecilia said, "Duh, I'm waiting for you to show me to where I'll be staying."

Asuka looked to Nymph who sighed and explained, "Apparently she was sent to live with us."

Sohara gaped at Nymph and whispered, "You're joking right? We don't even know this Angeloid."

Nymph said, "I never joke about living arrangements."

Astrea asked, "Want me to take her out Asuka? It'd be my pleasure if she's a threat."

Asuka held up her hand and said, "I will state my opinion on this matter." The three Angeloids turned to her to listen. Asuka continued, "Currently, Cecilia would have no place to live should we turn her away. I will allow it on a provisional basis."

Cecilia said, "Oh? This should be interesting."

Asuka said, "If you try to harm anyone in my household, I'll take you down myself."

Cecilia started to laugh, "You? What could you possibly do?"

Asuka moved and was in front of her, with the dagger drawn and pressed against her throat in an instant. She hissed, "Do not underestimate me Cecilia, I learned from Sugata how to move faster than the eye can see, and thanks to Nymph and Sohara I have the means to take down a rogue Angeloid."

Nymph smiled and said, "That dagger she is holding emits a super sonic pulse from the hilt. If it pierces an Angeloid's skin, their system will be knocked out of commission for about two hours. In that state, you'd be a sitting duck for Alpha and Delta. Without your weapons and powers, you would be like any normal human being. A standard human fighting Alpha and Delta at full power would stand no chance at all."

Cecilia's eyes were wide as she stared at the dagger at her throat and whispered, "You wouldn't dare stab me with that weapon."

Asuka stared right back into her violet eyes and asked, "Want to test that theory Cecilia? You weren't here when I swore to defend those that I love. I don't need Ikaros, Nymph or Astrea to take you down, understand?"

Cecilia said, "But you're just a human!"

Asuka said, "I am, you're right about that. That said, I have been studying Angeloid power systems and how they operate ever since Nymph arrived. She has been invaluable in learning how your kind work." She slowly lowered the dagger along Cecilia's body until it stopped at her left curve and she touched the tip to a spot on her clothes and whispered, "You know what is behind that spot in your body? The main power system. This is the same with all Angeloid designs. It is a fail safe mechanism. If it is pierced, the Angeloid's system shuts down forever. You may think you're invincible, but I know the weakness of an Angeloid. Now do you agree to my terms or do I shut you down now?"

Cecilia swallowed hard and said, "F-fine I accept your terms jeez! Put that stupid thing away already."

Asuka sheathed her dagger and said, "If that is the case, then welcome to my household Cecilia. Sohara, if you'd please check her wing core?"

Cecilia paled and asked, "W-what do you mean by check my wing core?"

Sohara went up behind her and ran her fingers along Cecilia's wing base and said, "Wow, they are cold to the touch and yet soft. It's like touching a fuzzy metal."

Cecilia hissed, "Hey, who said you could touch those wings?"

Asuka said, "I did Cecilia. Sohara is imperative to ensure that the wing cores are not damaged in any way shape of form and learned about them from Nymph."

Cecilia stared at Nymph and said, "Beta taught you both that much about us?"

Nymph crossed her arms and said ,"After the incident with Gamma and Harpy, I grew wiser. I refuse to allow anyone else to be harmed in such a fashion. My own lack of wings are enough thank you Theta!"

Cecilia stared at the three Angeloids who were watching her carefully. She sighed and said, "Fine, examine away Sohara."

Sohara ran her fingers along the wings and said, "These are such a peculiar design. If I had to guess, I'd say they could harden into blades at a moment's notice."

Cecilia said, "Good observation, did you strain your brain for that one?"

Sohara smiled and whispered, "Be a smart ass all you want, but I personally think they are beautiful."

Cecilia flushed and said, "Oh come on, they are just wings."

Sohara said, "True, but they are definitely unique."

Cecilia said, "They were personally designed for my system, so I'd definitely say they are unique."

Asuka said, "Alright, that's enough, we should get going. Cecilia, I am taking you and Astrea out shopping while the others return to the house."

Cecilia asked, "Wait, why am I coming with you?"

Asuka said, "Because that is the rule of our house. The newest people to join are to help with the shopping trip. I'd send Astrea, but well she may buy the wrong things."

Astrea said, "Hey, not nice Asuka! I am perfectly capable of shopping for dinner!"

Asuka asked, "Do you know what an onion is?"

Astrea said, "A yellow vegetable that is used in stews and other various dishes."

Asuka smiled and said, "Alright then, you can do the shopping tonight, but stay to the list and if you have any questions, ask a worker at the supermarket. They usually are wearing an apron of some kind and have name tags."

Astrea nodded and took the list along with the money for the dinner ingredients and took a look at the list. She said, "Oh wow, we are having pasta with meat sauce tonight! Yummy!"

Asuka said, "Remember that if you get the wrong ingredients, it won't taste the same, take your time to get the list right."

Astrea smiled and unfurled her wings until Asuka called out, "Hold it you crazy Angeloid! Do you wish to scare everyone in town? Girls generally speaking do not fly and land in the center of town."

Sohara said, "You'll have to walk Astrea."

Astrea pouted and said, "But walking is boring, I like to fly."

Asuka said, "If you walk, we will go on a midnight flight, just us two, how does that sound?"

Astrea beamed and said, "You're on!" She ran off, in the wrong direction.

Asuka groaned and said, "Nymph, you should go with her, just to make sure she actually gets the ingredients we need."

Nymph said, "Alright, hey Delta get BACK here!" She took off after Astrea and grabbed her by the hand. She then began to walk with her the correct direction.

Asuka turned to Cecilia and said, "As for you miss Angeloid, come with me. If you're going to live with us, I need to go over some house rules."

Cecilia huffed then walked ahead with Asuke while Ikaros and Sohara followed them from behind. Ikaros' eyes never left Cecilia's back as she still didn't trust her.

Astrea asked, "Are you sure you know where we are going Nymph?"

Nymph sighed and said, "Yes Delta, for the last time I am certain of where we are going."

Astrea asked, "Then why is there a forest in front of us?"

Nymph stopped and said, "You're right, that is odd." She began to scan and said, "I see what happened. Do you remember the cross-roads we passed?"

Astrea said, "The shopping center is down the other road right? So why are we here?"

Nymph said, "Delta, it is about Theta. I don't know whose side she is on so far. She came here specifically to investigate you and the way in which you broke free. Tell me something, you didn't do it for selfish reasons did you?"

Astrea thought for a moment then said, "Nope, not a chance. I didn't want to follow the orders of a selfish master who would cause harm to others for his own amusement, that's all there is to it."

Nymph said, "If that's the case, then I doubt she will ever find us as enemies." She turned back with Astrea and about fifteen minutes later, the two entered the store. She stood at the entrance and said, "Alright get to it Delta, I will be here if you have any questions."

Astrea looked around and saw a cart. She grinned and pulled it out and moved it experimentally.

Nymph warned, "Don't you start zipping through the store Delta, those carts can hurt people alright?"

Astrea pouted then said, "Fine, I will just act normally."

Nymph sighed and thought, "Finally, she gets it!"

Astrea began to walk back and forth in the store, putting ingredients in her cart and when she was done, she brought them back to Nymph and asked, "Um, where do I give the money for these things?"

Nymph guided Astrea to the checkout and watched the ingredients being placed on the counter by Astrea. She was actually surprised, but Astrea had gotten everything right on the list, well and one extra ingredient. She picked it up and said, "Chocolate bars? How many of these did you put in there?"

Astrea said, "Just one for each of us."

Nymph counted them and saw that there were indeed six of them. She sighed and pulled out some extra money for the chocolate and said, "Fine, but just this once Delta, alright?"

Astrea smiled and said, "Thanks Nymph!"

The two began to head for home after they had finished paying for the ingredients. Nymph had to return the cart as Astrea thought the cart was theirs to keep. She explained, "Delta, the cart belongs to the store. We have to carry this stuff home in bags, not the cart."

Astrea said, "Oh, alright. It would be easier with the cart, but if you're sure."

Nymph playfully smacked Astrea upside the head and said, "You big idiot, you are strong enough to carry all the ingredients on your own, let alone with my help. You don't need a cart."

Astrea rubbed the back of her head and said, "Oh yeah, I have a lot of strength, don't I?"

Nymph groaned and hissed, "Sometimes I wonder how you are the most powerful close quarters combat Angeloid if you can't even remember your own strength."

Meanwhile...

Asuka opened the door and said, "Welcome to our home Cecilia."

Cecilia set foot inside then looked around. She said, "This place isn't half bad, lots of room and even a ton of bedrooms. Why is this place so enormous?"

Asuka said, "My family actually is fairly large. My parents had one room, I had a second room. There were two guest bedrooms and two of the rooms were originally storage rooms. I since removed the storage and gave rooms to each Angeloid. There are a total of seven rooms besides the kitchen, living room and bathroom."

Sohara asked, "Is your family rich or something Asuka? I mean, normally places like these cost a fortune."

Asuka said, "My father built this place himself. He hired contractors to deal with the insulation, plumbing and electrical work. Everything else, he built by hand. We inherited the land from his father."

Sohara said, "I didn't know that, wow."

Cecilia said, "You've been living here for a little while and never thought to question why it was huge?"

Sohara shrugged and said, "I was just so happy to live with the Angeloids and Asuka."

Cecilia said, "I guess that makes sense." She began to look at the rooms. She found Asuka's room to be a blue color and was about to open the closet when Asuka stopped her.

She said, "If you're looking for anything perverse, you won't find it. When I activated my transformation, I got rid of it all."

Sohara's eyes widened and she whispered, "Even the magazines? Wow Asuka, I never knew you had it in you."

Asuka said, "Especially those. I gave up that lifestyle a while ago because I wanted to be good to you and the Angeloids. Besides, you girls are pretty enough, why would I need to stare at pictures now?"

Sohara glared for a moment then laughed and said, "You're lucky I know you too well and am aware that is supposed to be a compliment."

Asuka smiled then said, "Let's get a room set up for Cecilia." He took the new Angeloid's hand and led her to a room that had white walls. She said, "Cecilia, this will be your room. It is between Astrea's room and Nymph's room. You said on the walk that your main mission is to find out the reasons behind why Astrea shattered her chains right?"

Cecilia blinked then said, "Yes that's right."

Asuka said, "Then this room is perfect for you. What color do you want the walls anyways?"

Cecilia said, "I guess a nice purple, but why we need to change the walls is beyond me."

Asuka said, "A person's room reflects who they are. The color of the walls signify what their favorite color is. Nymph's is a sky blue and Ikaros had her room painted blood red. I was a little worried when I saw that, but she said she just liked the color. As for Sohara's, it is a baby pink."

Sohara flushed and said, "What, so I think pink is cute. Got a problem with that Asuka?"

Asuka said, "Not at all Sohara. As for Astrea, she has yet to pick a color. If I had to guess though, I'd say she'd paint her room a dark green. She seems to like that color."

Cecilia softly said, "It seems that people put a lot of thought into the place they sleep."

Asuka said, "That's right Cecilia, we do. We probably have about an hour before some of the class comes by to see what Ikaros' gift is, so I had best fill you in as to Astrea's situation."

The four of them walked into the living room and sat down on the sofa together. Ikaros sat on the chair to keep an eye on Cecilia.

Asuka said, "Astrea was conflicted because of her previous master's order to use Nymph as bait to lure out Tomoki. She and I spoke for a while about it in the hallway and I told her that she should choose her own destiny. It would appear she decided to refuse to obey his orders because they were unjust."

Cecilia thought for a moment then said, "That does sound like Mithos' command style. Her feelings for you didn't come into play at all?"

Asuka said, "Honestly, I wouldn't know. The fact that I had been kind to her and that she actually liked us may have had some impact on her decision, but she only decided to break the chain after he ordered her to use Nymph as a tool."

Cecilia sat back on the couch and looked at the ceiling and asked, "What about you? What do you plan to do with your Angeloids? I mean currently you have two bonded to you, and knowing Beta she may very well request the same connection."

Asuka said, "Honestly, I don't plan to do anything with them. I could wish for all the money in the world but..." She stopped and said, "Ikaros, put that card away, that was not an order."

Ikaros put the card away quickly and resumed her vigil.

Asuka cleared her throat and continued, "As I was saying, I could wish for things like that, but I believe it would be taken from somewhere else. As such, I am very cautious about the kinds of wishes I make."

Cecilia said, "You don't plan to have Alpha or Delta to go on a rampage?"

Asuka laughed for a moment and said, "Good god no! If they did, there would be mass panic. That's the last thing I want. Honestly, all I want is for the Angeloids to have a life of peace and quiet. To be able to enjoy their lives, that is my greatest desire."

Ikaros pulled out a card, then froze when she saw the look on Asuka's face and put it away again.

Asuka said, "Ikaros, you can't just use a card to do that, this life of peace and quiet must come naturally, not from the Synapse or it is a fake peace."

Ikaros said, "I understand Master."

Asuka turned to Cecilia and asked, "What about you? What do you desire Cecilia?"

Cecilia said, "Honestly, I don't know. What I can tell you is that I do want to save the Synapse. It has been under Mithos' control for far too long."

Asuka gently placed a hand on Cecilia's left hand and said, "I will do what I can to help you, but you have to show us that you are not going to try and kill us. We don't know you after all."

Cecilia stared at her and asked, "How am I supposed to prove something as vague as that to you?"

Sohara said, "Time, that's the only way. So far you are doing a good job though. You haven't done anything threatening save warn us of your intentions if Astrea was up to no good down here."

Cecilia said, "I am not foolish enough to just start attacking someone without a valid reason."

Sohara said, "Then that's a start, come on I will show you how the bath and shower work in this house." She took Cecilia's hand and walked with her to the bathroom.

Asuka asked, "What are you thinking Ikaros?"

Ikaros said, "I wish to trust her, but I am still wary."

Asuka sighed and said, "I know, she just arrived so suddenly and her target involves Astrea. That is something that concerns me. We have to prove to her that Astrea's actions were truly a just decision and as quickly as possible."

Ikaros said, "Oh that's right Master, I almost forgot. If you go into your room, you will find an object on your bed. Bring it to me and I will use it to strengthen your disguise."

Asuka said, "After I solidify the bond with Astrea, we will Ikaros. I don't intend to go into my natural state for a long period of time."

Ikaros asked, "Master, are you planning to stay as Asuka forever?"

Asuka said, "Honestly, I don't know. I do know that I will return to my natural state at points, but I am starting to get comfortable being in this form. I don't know, maybe it is because I am not awkward around you girls like this."

Ikaros said, "Well you do have the same body types as the Angeloids and Sohara in this form."

Asuka nodded and said, "That may be part of the reason why I am comfortable." She looked out the window and saw Astrea and Nymph coming up towards the door, along with a ton of people following them. She went to the door and let them in and said, "I see you all showed up to see what I got Ikaros."

One boy said, "Yes, you got us curious Asuka."

Asuka laughed and said, "Very well, come around back and you will see it." She closed the door and led Ikaros out back. She said, "Are you ready for your present?"

Ikaros nodded and said, "Yes Master."

Asuka placed a finger to her lips and said, "Don't call me that right now, most of our class is outside, got it?"

Ikaros blinked then walked out and saw her gift. The garden had been prepared for planting and everything was nice and brown. She ran her fingers through the dirt and said, "Is this for me to grow things in?"

Asuka said, "That's right, that is half your present, the other half is what is inside the ground already. Half the field is full of watermelons that will grow over time."

A boy asked, "Is that field the full gift?"

Asuka smiled and said, "No, if you look behind you, the final gift is sitting right by you."

They turned around and saw an SUV was sitting behind them. It was brand new and a boy gaped at it. He whispered, "She bought her an SUV?"

Asuka said, "Well, I should say I bought the house one. It is in Sohara's name though."

Astrea said, "Wow, we have a car!" She ran up to it and opened the door carefully and looked inside. She cried out, "This thing is so huge! You could fit twenty people inside, well in pieces that is."

A girl from class whispered, "She isn't serious is she?"

Asuka laughed and said, "Nah, she's not serious about that. We all know how Astrea is by now. That said, I wanted us to have something for groceries and for trips."

Sohara set foot outside and saw the SUV and asked, "Is that what the big surprise is? You told me it belonged to the people across the street."

Asuka grinned and said, "Yeah, but I lied about that. I wanted you to be surprised when you came home Sohara, it is yours after all."

Sohara gaped and said, "That SUV is mine? But those are so expensive!"

Asuka said, "You know how my mother is the owner of a car dealership? I told her that we needed a car for a large number of people as we had five people living in one place. She gave it to me to use and said that I had to register it with someone from the house. I chose to register you as the owner Sohara because you are the one with a license."

Sohara said, "I don't know what to say, that is such a huge gift. First you give me a home, now a car? What's next, a helicopter?"

Asuka said, "I guess I shouldn't unveil that gift just yet."

Sohara stared at Asuka and said, "You'd better be kidding about that."

Asuka said, "Maybe I am, maybe I'm not."

Sohara smacked her upside the head and said, "Seriously Asuka, those things are very dangerous if you do not know how to use them!"

Asuka winced then said, "O-okay already! No there is no helicopter."

Sohara sighed in relief then checked her purse to find the keys were inside. She blinked and asked, "How did you put those in there?"

Asuka said, "I asked Nymph to do it while we were in school."

Cecilia looked at the SUV and said, "Why do humans use those things to get around? Don't they pollute the air?"

Asuka said, "Not that one, my mother brought the best one they had. This one is a hybrid electric and gas model. It runs off electricity stored in a powerful battery. This battery can be recharged by plugging it into the wall. If it runs out of electricity, only then does it run on gasoline. It is a necessary thing for if you run out of power, you don't want to get stranded."

Cecilia whispered, "But we could just pick it up and fly it with us if it runs out of power."

Asuka whispered back, "Yes, but most humans can't do that, so I had to make it believable."

Cecilia looked in the back and saw a power generator. She said, "I see you have a generator in the back, I guess that stores more power in case you need it?"

Asuka nodded and said, "That's right, I want it to use gasoline only if we have no other option."

The class took a look at the SUV and walked around it. One said, "Hey this is next year's model, how did you get it a year early?"

Asuka said, "That's my mother for you. This car is probably worth around eighty thousand dollars."

They paled staring at it and stepped away. They didn't want to scratch the car.

Asuka smiled and said, "Alright, now we have to get ready for dinner. Oh and we are hosting a party in three days to celebrate Christmas. You are all invited to come and join in the festivities."

They walked off and many of them were quite happy with the idea of a free party.
