Misao’s breathing was back to normal now, but her eyes remained shut. Aoshi walked back into the bathroom and shut the door.
Misao heard the door click shut and slowly opened her eyes. ‘What was that, it was....’ Misao couldn’t think of anything to compare it to. ‘I didn’t know what he was doing, but it felt so good. I didn’t want him to ever stop touching me.’ Misao blushed three shades of red and clutched the towel to her body as she sat up. She still felt a little shaky, taking a deep breath to calm her nerves. ‘What should I say to him when he comes out? It felt so wonderful and I didn’t want him to stop, but I don’t know if I ‘m ready to go too far, the other night, if someone hadn’t knocked I would have told him to stop I was so scared, and his eyes...’ Misao turned her head as the door came open.

Aoshi walked into the bathroom and took a deep breath. The bulge down there wasn’t helping much either. ‘Why did I do that?’ He raked a hand down his face and looked into the mirror. ‘I wanted her to feel nice like when she gave me a massage, but not the same way.’ He sighed and took another deep breath, ‘After the look in her eyes the last time I tried anything, I don’t want to get near her, I am afraid I might do something we’ll both regret. If I stay away, it hurts more. I now remember why, when I was first assigned, her as, a partner. I wanted to keep my distance; she was always smiling and nice. I was attracted to her.’ He shook his head trying to get the thoughts to leave him. Aoshi looked around the room, ‘I didn’t grab any clothes. He sighed and opened the door hesitantly.
He could Misao’s stare; he sighed and opened the door completely. He went to the dresser and grabbed two shirts and a pair of sweats. He tossed a shirt to Misao, “We haven’t retrieved your suitcase yet.”
Misao caught the shirt and her eyes widened at his voice. She lowered her head. “Your right I forgot about it,” Misao tried to chuckle. She looked back at Aoshi, as he walked back into the bathroom. ‘Doesn’t he care what just happened, or am I...’ Misao didn’t finish her thought. She wrapped the towel around her body and grabbed the shirt. She retrieved her under ware as well. She opened thor aor and walked down the hallway, looking in each room. The doors were left open, if shut they were locked. She walked into a room that had a bed with red covers. It had a desk with some glass collectables and lace surrounding them. Misao shut the door and dropped the towel, and put her under ware and the shirt on, holding the collar to her nose. ‘His sent is so intoxicating.’ She hugged her self, and let the shirt fall. She walked toward the door as it was shoved open.
“Ahh well looky here, the ice pop has a girl friend.” A tall man said smirking. His eyes were bloodshot and unfocused. Misao backed away and felt the dresser hit her butt. She looked back and felt the mans hands grasp her shoulders. Misao struggled as she was pushed against the dresser, almost toppling backwards.
“Let me go,’ Misao cried. The man pulled her towards him and backed them to the bed, pushing Misao roughly to it.
“This’ll be fun.”

Aoshi had changed and splash his face with water, his arousal had gone down somewhat. He had seen the look on Misao’s face, from the corner of his eye. He had made sure his voice was as icy as always. ‘We need to stop this. If we become intimate we could jeopardize the mission. I feel somehow that the chief gave us this mission for that push.’ Aoshi froze as he heard a noise, it wasn’t some kind of shuffling, and it was glass breaking. He slammed the door open and his eyes locked onto the bed where Misao had been. He looked around the room and saw the door open. ‘Misao?” He raced from the room, and ran to where the noise had come from.
He ran down the hall, and stopped outside of one of the rooms, ‘My sisters room?’. There were fresh blood spatters on the floor leading from the broken window to that room. Aoshi twisted the door handle and shoved the door open. His eyes grew wide at the sight he saw. “Misao stop.” Aoshi placed a hand to his forehead.
Misao gave the man another kick in the stomach. She bowed her head and walked toward Aoshi. “Yeah well he tried to do something to me, I wasn’t going to let him.” Misao quipped as she walked out of the room and back down the hall, toward Aoshi’s room.
“Mig, what are you doing in my house?” The man turned his unfocused eyes towards Aoshi. “Your drunk, she kicked you out again didn’t she.” A nod was all he got from the man. Aoshi sighed. He helped Mig up. “Sorry but you can’t stay here tonight. After assaulting Misao, you might as well not come back at all.” Aoshi growled as he dragged the man down the stairs, making sure he hit each one. He opened the door and threw the man face first in the dirt and slammed the door locking it and going backup the stairs.
He shoved the half, closed door open and fell onto the bed. Shoving a pillow around his face.
“Aoshi?” Misao questioned.
“What?” was Aoshi muffled reply.
“Your on my side of the bed.” Misao pointed out.
“So, sleep on the other side.” Misao quirked an eyebrow and sighed.

“AHHHHH,” Misao screamed as she woke up.
Aoshi groggily awoke, and froze. His arms were wrapped around Misao, ‘That’s not the problem.’ Misao roughly shoved him away from her and covered herself with the blanket.
THUD
Aoshi sighed as he landed on the floor. His legs wrapped in the blanket pulling, the blankets off Misao. Misao tried to grab at the blankets, and found her self being pulled off the bed. She felt herself come to the edge and fell on to Aoshi. Aoshi was lying on his back, his arms spread on the carpet. Misao landed on his chest, with her arms around her chest. Her legs straddled his waist as Aoshi’s arms wrapped around her body. Aoshi chuckled.
“What’s so funny?” Misao asked angrily. She slowly sat up, as Aoshi’s arms loosened. Misao tried to cover her bra cover chest.
“You seem to have fallen for me.” Aoshi said with a straight face. Misao got angry and pounded a fist on his chest.
“How can you say jokes with a straight face,” Misao started giggling. Aoshi shrugged and turned his head. Misao sat where she was, ‘This is awkward, and I know I had a shirt on when I went to sleep.’
“Misao, are you going to get up?” Aoshi grunted. Misao’s eye twitched and she smiled.
“Nope,” She leaned forward and placed her hands on his shoulders. ‘I wont get to do this for a while, knowing Aoshi. He’ll say no because of Mr. Himura and Mrs. Himura.’
Aoshi sighed and closed his eyes, “We need to go see Saitou,” Aoshi broke the silence. He felt Misao slump a little, and held back a groan. ‘She has no idea how this is affecting me right now.’ He took a heavy breath, and pushed on Misao shoulders. She didn’t move, her hands gripped his shoulders.
“Just another minute Aoshi, you wont let me touch you with Mr. Himura and Mrs. Himura around.” Misao sighed. Aoshi stilled and stared at the top of her head.
“What do you mean?” Aoshi questioned as he attempted to sit up. Misao removed her hands from his shoulders and covered her chest. Misao sat on his lap looking at his chest. “Well?”
“You’ll be distant because there’s someone around. You always are.” Misao slowly stood still covering herself the best she could. Aoshi had looked away, while Misao found the discarded shirt on the floor at the bottom of the bed. Aoshi worked on freeing his legs, only seeming to entangle them more. Misao giggled, a glare stopped her and she grabbed an end of the blanket and tugged. She tugged a couple more times. Aoshi felt the pull and he started to roll towards the nightstand. He hit the nightstand and felt it wobble a little, but stayed standing. He sighed.
SPLOSH
Aoshi slowly stood and looked at Misao. His bangs were hanging in his face, water dripping from them, his shirt sticking to his chest. He wiped the water from his face, and shook his head a little. He stomped to the bathroom, and slammed the door.
Misao had held her laughter back and then bursted out laughing. She heard a loud growl come from that direction. She stifled some giggles and then left the room to go down stairs to get her clothes. She stopped dead in her tracks and looked to the room a few doors away. She took a deep breath and walked down the stairs.
________________________________________________________________________
Aoshi could hear Misao’s laughter and growled. He leaned against the door as thoughts flooded him from the night before.
Flashback
Aoshi had told Misao to sleep on his side of the bed. He had fallen asleep almost instantly after that. He awoke a couple of hours later and was lying on his back, the pillow in Misao’s arms. She was hugging it in a death grip. Aoshi tried to pull the pillow from her arms but she clung onto it. He sighed and pulled the pillow out from under her head. Misao sat up in the bed and used the pillow in her arms to smack him over the head. Aoshi threw the pillow away knocking it to the floor. He turned toward the door and sighed. He heard shuffling and turned to look at Misao. She had taken the shirt off and used it as a pillow. He turned away from her, ‘Let her do what she wants.’
End of flashback
‘She must have not been fully awake, and somehow she had to of, woken up to put the pillow back on the bed.’ He shrugged and started the shower, as he shivered a little from the water.

Aoshi and Misao stepped out of the car and walked up to the 13-story building. “Well this is the place Saitou works,” Aoshi stated.
“Why are we going to see him?” Misao questioned.
“He brought the case to us, and he has more authority on it then the chief does.”
“Why?”
“He knows Mr. Himura.”
“Oh.” Misao stated as she looked to the ground. ‘Ever since this morning he hasn’t said one word to me, except about the case.’ She folded her arms across her chest and followed Aoshi up the stairs and into the building.
________________________________________________________________________
“Yes Sanosuke, said you were a little busy last night.” Saitou said as they entered.
“How would he know?” Misao spat.
Saitou glanced at Misao then looked at Aoshi? “Lets just say that you were chosen for a reason, Weasel.”
“Yeah well Aoshi and I were the only ones in the division that were female and male partners.” Misao plopped into a chair next to Aoshi.
“That wasn’t the reason.” Aoshi stated flatly.
Saitou smirked, “Have a fight with your wife.”
Aoshi sighed. “Why do you have to tease us?” Misao bit angrily.
“In order for this case to be convincing, you have to act married and know each other real well.” Saitou said straight-faced.
Misao said nothing and looked at the floor. ‘Yeah I may know Aoshi better than most, but that still isn’t very well.’ Misao thought.
“You better make up, because you’re leaving tonight.” Saitou stood.
“What?” Misao looked at Saitou.
“Everything’s been moved up and you have to be convincing, meaning Ice block, you have to show some emotion.” Saitou pulled a cigarette out and lit it.
Aoshi looked at Saitou with his mask. Misao sighed, “It’ll all work out.” She could feel the gaze from both men. “It always does, I’ll have some explanation for the way Aoshi is around me.” Misao smiled half-heartedly and looked at Aoshi, who’s, eyes actually showed confusion. Misao stood, “May we go?”
“Yes,” Here are your tickets and directions. “You have three hours.” I bowed slightly, practicing what I would have to do later. Aoshi stood his eyes still questioning me.
“We should, go. It takes at least half an hour to get back to your house Aoshi.” An arm on Misao’s shoulder stopped her movements and she turned expecting to see Aoshi. She jumped away from the hand and stared at it.
“What do you mean?” Saitou quirked an eyebrow at Misao.
“The chief told Aoshi and I that we had to be ready for the case, and I have been staying at his house.” Misao scowled. “I thought you would have known.”
“No.” Saitou puffed smoke at Misao, and she waved it away and wrinkled her nose in disgust.
‘What did she mean by that statement?’ Aoshi stared at Misao.
“We do need to go if you want us to be there on time.” Misao started toward the door once more. She stopped and turned back to the two men. “What?” She looks to Aoshi. She smiles. They left the office.
________________________________________________________________________
Misao stood on the platform, holding her bag, in a kimono. She fake smiled as she waited for Aoshi. He appeared next to her dressed just as nice. “Why do I have to wear a kimono?” Misao wined. The boarded the train, Aoshi glanced at the tickets and glanced at the doors. “Here it is,” Aoshi found the door with the same room number as his ticket. He set his bag down and slid the door open hard.
Aoshi blinked, a couple was already in the room, with the new bride sitting in troomrooms lap. They had been kissing, until Aoshi had opened the door. Aoshi looked at them uncaring, the women leaned back a little and looked at him. The man glared at Aoshi with silver eyes. “Sorry about that, Aoshi.” Misao whacked him on the shoulder as she pushed him over, so she could stand in the doorway. “You should have knocked, that is so rude.” Misao looked at the couple. She smiled.
Aoshi rose an eyebrow at Misao, and shrugged. He smirked and shoved Misao in the compartment, she fell onto the cushioned bench. He grabbed the suitcase and placed them where they were suppose to go and then bent and kissed Misao.
“Aoshi?” Misao asked wide-eyed as the kiss broke.
“That better, Misao?” Aoshi whispered in her ear, as he licked her earlobe.
Misao gulped and pushed Aoshi away. He snickered at her and then sat down, as she moved her feet to the floor. Misao looked to the other couple that had gone back issiissing. Misao leaned her head on Aoshi’s shoulder. ‘Why had he done that, he was smirking to?” Misao sighed as Aoshi lay back, and wrapped his arm around her, bringing her to his chest and kissing her forehead. Misao wrapped her arms around his Torso and slowly fell asleep.
“Misao!” Misao slowly opened her eyes and looked up o Aoshi’s face. She glanced around and found she had her head laid on his lap.
Misao shot up, “S...s...sor..ry.” Misao flushed beet red. She looked across and found the other couple had already left. “Did you scare them Aoshi.” Misao giggled.
Aoshi ignored her comment. “Were here,” Aoshi said quietly as he retrieved the bags.
Misao stood up and stretched, “My muscles hurt now,” Misao complained.
Aoshi smirked, “Lets go.”
“Alright.” Misao followed Aoshi, trying to grab her bag. “Aoshi.” She scolded as he kept pulling the bag from her grasp. She looked up to him, and he was looking straight ahead.
“What?”
“My bag.” Misao quipped as she tried to grab it again.
“I’ll carry it, after all we just got married.” Misao looked at him strange.
“Being a gentlemen doesn’t fit you Aoshi.” Misao smiled as they left the train.
“Misao.” Aoshi scolded.
“What?” Misao jumped around to face Aoshi walking backwards.
“Misao turn around.”
“Why?” Misao giggled, Aoshi dropped the bags and grabbed Misao’s arms yanking her into his embrace and falling backwards as a car zoomed by. Misao was in shock. She dug her head into Aoshi’s chest and hugged him. “That’s why,” Misao said shyly. “That was embarrassing.” She felt Aoshi’s arms go around her.
“We gotta get up Misao.” Aoshi’s arms loosened.
“I know,” Misao stood, and dusted her Kimono off. “These things are a pain in the....”
“Misao?” A female voice asked.
Misao turned around, “Tress?”
“Yeah, You haven’t changed...or grown.” Tess snickered.
“Yeah well neither have you,” Misao smacked her in the arm.
“Ow, you still hit harder than a guy....” Tess stopped and pointed. Misao blinked and then looked back.
“What about him?” Misao smiled. ‘I get to tell her, even if it isn’t the real thing.’
“You actually hanging out with a guy? I’m almost speechless.” Tess said shocked. Aoshi shook his head a little getting his bangs back the way they usually are. He went to pick the bags up as Misao’s arms wrapped around his stomach.
“Why wouldn’t I be with my Husband?” Misao smiled. Aoshi froze and he followed Misao’s gaze.
Tess stood shocked. Her eyes scanned Aoshi up and down, and she licked her lips. “Dang you sure got a looker, that’s for sure.”
“Looks are all that ever matter to you.” Misao spat angrily.
“Well yeah, why else would you be with a guy?”
“Men have standards as well, but looks for a women don’t always matter and women and men that think that way are shallow.” Aoshi broke into the conversation. He motioned for Misao to let go of him.
“You sure don’t acted married, I bet it’s just a case.” Tess said holding up a finger and pointing at Misao.
Misao blinked, ‘Shit.’ Aoshi looked casually at Tess.
“How would you think we would act, hugging and kissing everywhere?” Aoshi asked straight-faced. Tess’ mouth dropped. “Some couples show it openly others don’t.” Misao blinked at Aoshi and smiled warmly.
“He’s right.” Misao blushed. “Aoshi here isn’t one to show emotions very well either,” Misao smiled. Aoshi looked down at her, and rolled his eyes.
“Lets go we need to get to the hotel.” Aoshi stated, picking the suitcases up.
“Well aren’t you bossy?” Tess smirked.
Aoshi looked at her. “If you think so then fine.” Aoshi took a step foreword.
“Excuse me Mr. Ice.” Tess frowned and grabbed his arm. Aoshi jerked it away almost throwing his suitcase.
“Tess, stop this.” Misao said teeth clenched. She shoved Tess away from Aoshi and stood between the two. “Your stupid skills on being able to touch people won’t work. I’m married to him, now why can’t you get that through you skull.” Misao snapped angrily.
“Because no matter what you say your not married. Your finger has no band, and well frankly if you were married, you wouldn’t still be talking with me, you would have raced to the hotel.” Tess smirked, placing her hands on her hips.
“How....” Misao stopped as she heard the suitcase hit the cement. She turned to face Aoshi, who still looked calm. His arms went around her waist and he bent down and kissed her.
Tess smirked, “Yeah well anyone can kiss someone.” He turned his misted eyes toward her, and stared. She gasped,” Umm, well see you later Misao.” Tess raced away.
Misao was trying to catch her breath, what was that about?” Misao looked into Aoshi eyes, her breath caught.
“Lets go Misao, we need to hurry,” Aoshi stated swiftly picking the suitcases up and going across the street, Misao running after him.

“Aoshi Shinomori, and Mrs. Shinomori.” Aoshi stated as he got to the counter.
The receptionist glanced him up and down, well the part she could see. “K,”
POP
The receptionist chewed her gum loudly, “Yeah here it is.” Suite 25, you’re sharing your room with Mr. and Mrs. Himura. The girl popped her gum once more and loudly smacked her lips. She handed Aoshi the keys, “Where’s your wifey,” the girl started to flirt.
“Right here.” Misao stated breathless. “Aoshi why didn’t you wait for me, you have longer legs. Aoshi looked at her passively and picked the bags up.
He walked past her and whispered, “I wanted you to be all out of breath for me.” Misao’s mouth fell open. She watched his retreating form and then slowly followed in a daze.
Misao’s face was red as she took the keys from Aoshi’s hand and opened the door. “That wasn’t nice Aoshi.” She could practically feel Aoshi’s smirk. She tried to take a step forward, but Aoshi’s hand on her shoulder stopped her. She looked at him and almost screamed when her picked her up, kissed her and walked through the door. The kiss broke and Misao hid her head against Aoshi’s chest. ‘He acts this real well. I wish it were real.’
“Ahh the other couple.” Misao stiffened and looked to where the voice came from. Aoshi smirked having sensed Himura’s ki. Misao blushed a deep red, as Aoshi set her down, his hands staying on her shoulders and pulling her close. ‘If it weren’t for this case I wouldn’t have touched her. Now it’s too late things will happen unexpectedly.’ Aoshi mused as he felt Misao pull away.
“Well its finally nice to meet you Misao, well when your not sleeping.” Kaoru stood up from the dining table and walked over to Misao. “I thought the other couple were gong to be people I didn’t recognize and well be sex fiends.” Kaoru giggled.
Misao turned a deep red; ‘She talks about it like its no big deal.’
“I thought you were just partners,” Kaoru interrupted Misao’s thoughts.
Misao stammered to get any words out. “We were, but we’ve been married recently.” Aoshi broke in.
“I’m still in shock I suppose,” Misao said rubbing the back of her head. Aoshi brought the bags in and shut the do
“
“Which room are we in?” Aoshi questioned.
“Your over in that one by the bathroom.” Aoshi nodded and took the bags into the room, shutting the door.
“Well Kaoru, I should check on dinner.” Kenshin came and placed a kiss on Kaoru’s forehead and went back into the kitchen.
“Lets have a talk on the veranda Misao.” Kaoru pulled Misao’s arm. Misao followed trippingly behind her. Kaoru opened the glass doors and stepped out all but yanking Misao. She quickly shut the doors and turned to Misao almost pinning her to the rail. “So how is that luscious guy in bed, he has got to be good?” Kaoru questioned with a sparkled in her eye.

She stopped dead in her tracks and looked to the room a few doors away. She took a deep breath and walked down the stairs.
