(A Saiyuki Fanfic)

Five

Cyran pulled away from
the men and she stalked off. "I told you I have no information to give to you,
go report this to Homura!"� She snapped turning round flipping them the bird
before turning round on her heel and stalking off, when one phased in front of
her grabbing her by the wrist.

"C'mon it used to be
fun back in the day baby. Just you me Razephon. We had fun."� He grinned at her.

"Get away from me
Yanon. I have a date with Gojyo tonight not you."�

He blinked. "You'd
rather sleep with that half demon than me! You bitch!"� He slapped her and she
fell over backwards and looked up at him suddenly.

She touched the side of
her face in shock before clenching her fist angrily. "You hit me"� you asshole!"�
She jumped up and phased out.

"Oooh you can run but
you can't hide Perth."� He grinned before phasing out.

Vayu sat in the room and she looked out the window, her hands resting
on her arms when Hakkai walked in the room with the laundry and he smiled at
her. "How you holding up?"�

She looked at him and just offered him a smile. "I'm
fine. I don't really want to leave you
guys, but I guess it has to be done."�

Hakkai put the bucket down and walked up to her sitting next to her
taking one of her hands in his and he smiled at her. "We each have our own paths to follow, even in a
group, you have your path, Raido has her, same with Cyran even Tejas does. It's just up to you which way you want to go."�

Vayu looked at him. "I
know I'm not Kanan, but could you
ever"�"� She stopped and looked
down.

Hakkai just smiled at her. "Yeah
I think I can now."� his
other hand touched the side of her face.

Vayu blushed even more. "Oh"�"�

He pulled her close to him and she found her head resting on his
shoulder as he kissed the top of her head lightly.

"Don't
be so afraid Vayu I would never do anything to hurt you, not in a million
years."� He just held her there
and she let her arms slide round him returning the gesture.

Tejas stood up from the seat and she pulled back the covers on the bed
and sat down under them pulling Goku's
head on to her lap and she began stroking his hair.

"I'm
sorry for what Homura did to you, I don't want him to hurt you again, so I guess that's why we have to leave, we have to fight, train
properly, so we can become stronger."�
She spoke. "I loved him once and deep
down inside part of me still loves him, when I saw him there on the rooftop I
think my heart skipped a beat and I could have died just from the sight of him,
he does things to me I can't fully
understand yet because this body is so young."� She touched the crown on his forehead.

"But I remember you loved me too once, in your
sage form, Homura was so jealous, he forbade me to see you again, but that was
then"� I don't think I'll listen to that again. He knows I still love
him despite how much he's
changed, how much you've all
changed."� She stroked the top of
his head. "I think I know how you
feel about me Goku, if I were to get hurt, you'd do everything you could for me to make me
feel better, but I'm
changing now, I guess I'm
finally growing up. I don't know
maybe if things were different I could have fallen in love with you too. Just
listen to Homura, he knows what he's
saying, you have to train, fight, become stronger. Please for me Goku become
stronger."�

She lent back against the headboard fingering his hair tips lightly
rolling them between her fingers as she looked off in to the distance.

"I really hope it's the peppermint cookie chocolate."� She smiled to herself.

Raido walked along side Gojyo as they walked down the street together
and she looked at him before looking down. "�He's so hard to understand sometimes.'

Gojyo looked at her a cigarette in his mouth his hands stuffed in his
pockets, Raido stopped outside a restaurant. "This was where Cyran wanted to go earlier,
maybe they've seen her."�

"Yea sure."� Gojyo shrugged and he pushed open the door
letting Raido enter first and she looked at him then looked round the
restaurant, the place looked like a tornado had hit it.

"Whoa what happened here?"� Raido asked.

A man with a broom looked up and he sighed. "This young woman came running in here looking
for someone to help her, she was being hassled by these guys but of course
every man and his dog wanted to help her cause it's not everyday a beautiful woman wants help so
we helped her but those two guys tore through them all and this place while
they were at it."� He
explained. "Killed a couple of guys
while they were at it too and she fled out the back."� He jerked his thumb towards the door.

"Was she wearing a purple silk scarf and a mini
skirt with blue hair and vivid green eyes?"� Raido asked.

"Yeah that was her."� He replied.

"Well priestess looks like she's got herself in to some trouble."� Gojyo remarked and he grinned. "I'm
up for a good fight if you are."�

"Whatever it takes."� Raido remarked and raced towards the back
door, Gojyo following they looked round to see the area in ruins.

"Damn your goddess hottie sure know how to make
a mess."� Gojyo remarked.

"Megami where would she be?"� Raido looked round and she stopped in the
middle of the back road looking round. She cupped her hands in to a megaphone
shape and began calling out. "CYRAN!"�

"HEY GODDESS WHERE ARE YOU?!"� Gojyo called out.

They looked round. "I
hope she's okay."� Raido frowned.

"Oh trust me she's alright"�"� A voice remarked from behind them.

They both spun round in time to see a God phase out of thin air. "I know"�
you."� Raido looked at him.

His long silvery hair hung to his shoulder straight and his purple eyes
looked at her from beneath a fringe, he just smirked.

"Dagas and Kenren, nice to see you two are still
together, even in reincarnation how sweet."�

"Razephon."� Raido spoke. "�I can't
believe I'm remembering these guys.'

"You know him honey?"� Gojyo looked at her.

"Not from this lifetime as if I'd associate myself with a guy who has girler
hair than me."�

Razephon's eye
twitched. "Still the same smart
mouth, well Perth is ours, since she's
now betrayed Homura she's easy
pickings."�

Gojyo held his hand out and his Jakujou appeared in his hand. "Sorry but you're easy pickings and he spun round hitting the
God dead on the Jakujou slicing through the God sending him screaming in pain
as he was dusted in to particles.

"There's
another round here, I can feel him, Cyran's with him, this way lets go!"� She grabbed Gojyo by the hand and pulled him
along she pulled him to the edge of the alley way and they looked in where an
unconscious Cyran lay.

"Looks like we interrupted something."� Gojyo remarked. "Those bastards I hadn't even had my turn with her."�

*THUNK*

"Gojyo!"�
Raido snapped. "Have
some sympathy."� She
raced up to Cyran's side
and knelt down beside her. "Hey
Cyran"� are you okay?"�

There was no movement and Raido sucked in a breath and clasped her
hands together and began rubbing them together fast. "Sorry this is your wake up call."� She placed her hands as they sparked with ki
against either side of her waste and Cyran jolted up.

"Hey ow!"� She glared at Raido before blinking for a
moment and looked up at Gojyo. She looked at Raido and grinned. "Did my situation interrupt something?"�

Raido just smiled. "Just
a date don't worry, Gojyo's free tomorrow night. Isn't that right Gojyo?"�

Cyran smiled. "I guess
my disappearance kinda cancelled our date huh?"�

"Not really honey, I can date the two of you if
you want."�

*Tdadadadadadada*

*THUNK*

"Hey ow!"� Gojyo glared at Raido and she held her hand up
as the fan came spinning back round and landed in her hand.

"If you two want to date don't let me interrupt you!"� She snapped and stalked out of the alleyway.

"Jealous are we?"� Cyran asked sauntering up to Gojyo snaking an
arm round his waist.

Raido spun round to give them what for and she blinked. "Behind you!"�

Gojyo spun round and blocked the sword with his Jakujou and he looked
at the God. "Damnit is this what Homura
meant when he said you had your own Gods to face?"� He asked.

"I guess so."� Raido replied.

Cyran raced up next to her. Gojyo looked back at them. "Priestess get her out of here! I'll handle this!"�

"Gojyo"�"�
Raido looked on for a moment then grabbed Cyran by the arm pulling her away and
running from the scene.

"You could have taken him too, it"�s only Yanon. Your fan it's the only thing you have that can kill us."� Cyran remarked.

"I couldn't risk hitting Gojyo"�"� Raido remarked. "Better to have you safe than dead."�

Cyran stopped making Raido stop. "After all that teasing you'd still help me."�

Raido just looked at her and smiled. "You have your reasons to tease me and don't think I can't see through it, besides Sanzo is your target
not Gojyo, you two wanted to make me and Sanzo jealous, newsflash, Sanzo will
be harder to get through than me."�

Cyran's shoulders sagged. "Typical Konzen, he was a hard ass back then and
he's still one now, at least he
showed some interest up there. But down here"�"� She looked off to the side.

"You've
had a crush on him for that long?"�
Raido looked at her.

Cyran looked down. "Well
yeah."� She blushed, "Before Homura he was the only one who stood up
for me."�

Raido just nodded. "Was
this after we left I take it?"�

"Yeah, you three were fresh out of Goddess
school not even a year when you and Kenren had something we were so young then"� It was about two years later when you three
left, and you left me behind with my family"�s friends..."� Cyran sighed, but stoped when she caught the
image phase behind Raido. "BEHIND
YOU!"�

Raido spun round and blocked the sais with her metal fan and she looked
at Cyran. "Get out of here I can
handle this!"�

"Dagas"�"�
The God smiled. "Remember
me we had a nice little chat when you were sixteen."�

Raido sucked in a breath and she looked at the face. "You"�"�

"Raido can you take Ferien?"� Cyran looked at her.

"Don't
worry about me. Just go!"�

Cyran turned round and she raced off.

She stopped at the doorway to the restaurant when a figure stepped
through and she backed off. "Not
you again seriously Senpou"� what is
this God school revisited?"�

"Homura wants you to listen to him Perth."� He smiled and stepped through the doorway.

Cyran raced off down the street the God giving chase. "Damn this. Damnit, I hate this"�"� She found herself running in to a figure
before toppling backwards she looked up seeing Sanzo there and he'd caught her.

He looked down at her. "Your
friends wouldn't quit
bugging me to look for you, so don't
take this as any sort of hint you got that?"�

He stood her behind him and he loaded his gun and looked at the
oncoming Senpou and fired the gun, the bullet bounced off and he growled. "Waste of a bullet."�

"Konzen"�"�
The Senpou smiled. "You
under estimate us"�"�

Sanzo looked at him unimpressed. "Did I now?"�

*WHOOOOSH*

The God looked down before he was split in half and broken up in to
particles and Tejas brushed some hair from her face.

"Cyran are you alright?"�

Cyran nodded. "Uhhh
yeah."� Tejas wrapped the whip
round her arm and she smiled.

"That's
good we were worried about you."�

Cyran looked at Sanzo. "You"� helped me."� She looked at him.

"Yeah well don't get to attached, it's not like I enjoy saving your life or
anything."� Sanzo remarked.

Tejas smiled and leaned in close to Cyran. "But I'm
sure he likes you. I can tell."�

Cyran smiled. "You don't have to say that Tejas."�

"Oh but I want to, and trust me I know these
things, he just has trouble getting close to people, that's all, give it some time."� Tejas smiled.

Raido growled as she was held to the ground by the God Ferien. He was
hoovering over her lingering like she didn't want.

"Get off me"�"� She growled.

But his eyes were fixated on her, she knew him, he was the one whom she'd dealt with before in this lifetime, if Homura
knew he'd tried to make a move on
her while she was still growing up she was sure he would have been dead by now.
She growled and kneed him in the groin before flipping him off her and spinning
round to her feet then jumping in to a round house kicking him before jumping
forward with a forward leaping front kick and she flipped her fan out and flung
it in his direction and it severed his head from his neck and shoulders before
he could hit the ground Ferien burst in to particles and she caught the fan as
it spun back her way.

Raido straightened herself up. "Guess Homura's going to be getting the message shortly, If
he knew what you tried on me Ferien you'd be dead, guess I had to do it myself."�

Gojyo put a hand on her shoulder. "You okay priestess?"� He asked.

Raido jumped before spinning round Gojyo was looking at her curiously
and she blushed knowing he'd over
heard her, he'd probably put two and two
together to figure it out that was for sure.

"I'm
fine, I used to do this all the time, but I must be getting rusty."� She looked up at him as he just grinned down
at her.

"Well it's okay Priestess, you'll get used to it."� He slipped an arm round her waist and they
walked to the street.

Sanzo was reloading his gun before he put it away and looked at the
two. Tejas smiled. "Oh don't you two look cute together."�

Raido blushed. "I
thought you didn't want
to leave Goku's side."�

"Well I kinda got really hungry."� Tejas remarked and you two were taking so long
and then Vayu mentioned she sensed Cyran in trouble."�

"Where is Vayu?"� Raido asked.

"There were some Gods on the main street so her
and Hakkai are taking care of them."�
Tejas replied.

"Is it okay to leave Goku unguarded like this?"� Cyran asked.

"Monkey boy will be fine honey."� Gojyo remarked, "He's
does a lot of this bull shit even in his sleep."�

Sanzo huffed. "Lets go,
hanging round here will just attract attention and we don't want that."�

The group walked in to the main street and they looked round Vayu just
smiled as Hakkai handed her a flower from a stall and he smiled.

"Megami they look so cute together."� Raido gushed.

"Man there's hardly any damage what so ever."� Cyran remarked. "That's
a first for Vayu."�

"I bet you it was Hakkai's doing."� Gojyo remarked.

The group walked up to the two.

"So how'd
you two do?"� Raido asked.

"Oh fine my mace took care of it and Hakkai
finished the other one off. I think we should leave soon before the townspeople
throw us out."� Vayu remarked.

"We can't
Goku hasn't woken up yet, I told him
we wouldn't leave until after he's fully recovered."� Tejas protested.

Vayu sighed. "Fine
fine fine."�

"Well maybe you four should spend some tome
together. I can watch over Goku till you get back, besides I'm sure Tejas is really hungry."� Hakkai offered.

Raido smiled. "Okay."� She looked at Gojyo. "Next time then."�

Gojyo gave Hakkai a look. "Gee
thanks Hakkai."�

Hakkai just smiled. "It's no problem."� He laughed obvious of Gojyo's sarcasm.

The three guys walked off leaving the four girls sanding there.

"Well then some food."� Raido remarked.

*GRRRRRRROOOOOOOOOOWWWWWWLLLLLL*

They all looked at Tejas and she smiled. "My stomach agrees it needs something and soon,
before I starve to death."�

Raido laughed. "Lets go
then. Lets hope I can afford this."�

"I'll
pitch in if you can't."� Cyran offered.

"Oh my god the cheapskate isn't being cheap!"� Vayu exclaimed.

"Well you were looking awfully comfy with Hakkai
there, so I'll let that one slide, it's about time, now hurry up and get laid."�

Vayu glared at her. "If
you weren't a Goddess you'd be so dead."�

Gojyo looked at Hakkai and they walked back to the hotel. "Man Hakkai I was so close to getting the two of
them, Hakkai why'd you do
that?"�

Hakkai looked at Gojyo. "If
you haven't noticed since Homura's little Charkas brand on Tejas she's slowly been changing, this will probably be
the last time she can truly be free the way she wants to be and having her with
her friends is important, something for them to remember after she changes
fully."�

"Maaaan."� Gojyo complained.

"Besides you've already slept with Raido Gojyo, and pursuing
her like you do can only mean one thing."� Hakkai added.

Gojyo looked at him. "What's that?"� He asked.

"That this must be the real deal."� Hakkai smiled. "You know what I mean, the one for you, who you
want to spend the rest of your life with."�

Gojyo's eye twitched. "Are you kidding me?! No way."�

"You didn't say that the other night, you said you were a
one woman man."� Sanzo
remarked adding in to the teasing in his own way.

"Oh shut up."� Gojyo grumbled. "It's
just she was drunk the first time, I don't think that counts. Women are like alcohol,
there's different stages of
storage and it pays to taste it at those stages, because trust me you need to
know when they're just
right."�

*BIIIIIIIIIIIIIRRRRRRP*

"Okay then, you can stop there you know."� Hakkai looked at Gojyo smiling.

Sanzo huffed. "Moron."� He grumbled.

"What about you then Hakkai huh? You and Vayu
look cosy, are too actually dating now?"� Gojyo teased.

Hakkai just smiled as he blushed. "Well I guess we are, but I'm happy with the way things are progressing."�

"C'mon
man Vayu's hot I know it you know
it, you seriously need to get laid before they vanish from our lives."� Gojyo remarked.

"Really Gojyo, relationships aren't all about sex, there's others parts that's all, it's nearly her anniversary of her parents death,
she has trust in me and if I were to break that trust then where would we be?"� Hakkai looked at him seriously.

Gojyo just sighed. "I
swear I'm the only normal one
here."�

~*~*~*~

Tejas sat at the table piling food down in to her stomach the other
three had long since finished eating.

"Looks like we're all progressing somehow changing."� Cyran remarked.

"People do change."� Vayu remarked.

"It'll
be a shame to loose our little energetic pixie here."� Cyran added.

Raido looked at Tejas as she held up the bowl. "More ramen please and don't forget the sushi!"� She called out, "Hold the vegetables."�

Cyran smiled. "She was
such a nice, Goddess of occult and sex, to see as this energetic child sure was
a change but to see her like that again in this body sure will be strange."� She mused out loud.

"I don't
think she'll change like that
completely."� Raido offered. "After all I lost some of my Goddess persona."�

"Yeah no ying yang stick figures on Homura's wall or glitter in wardrobe, I swear the next
time he wears that blue muscle top and I even see one ounce of glitter I swear
I'll crack up."� Cyran remarked.

Raido rubbed the back of her neck. "While Vayu remains almost the same."�

Vayu shook her head. "I
lost one thing from that incarnation."�

They all looked at her and she looked at them. "The respect I had for Homura."�

Tejas looked at Vayu. "Homura
has a reason for this, it's just
best we don't get in his way, maybe
when it's over with he'll be like he used to be."�

"Or he'll
be dead."� Vayu added.

Raido let out a sigh. "As
much as I'd like to admit I'd enjoy to see that, part of me wishes it won't come to that."�

Tejas nodded. "Me too
Homura-sama is too sexy to be killed."�

Cyran looked at Tejas. "That
sounds like a comment that I would say."�

~*~*~*~

The room seemed to spin as Goku finally stirred the two plasters on his
face, one on either cheek, his golden eyes opened as he looked up to the
ceiling above him.

"Huh?"�
Goku remarked groggily.

"Goku?"�
Hakkai asked his voice soft like an almost whisper as not to damage his
sensitive hearing from just waking up. "Goku."�
Hakkai added louder.

"Uh?"�
Goku's eyes widened as he sat
up suddenly. Hakkai by his bedside.

Sanzo stood by the window looking out at the night sky outside, Gojyo
near by leaning up against a window.

"Better take it easy, you took a hell of a
beating last night."� Hakkai
remarked.

Goku clutched the sheets. "Oh
right. I lost, I remember."�

"Yea."�
Gojyo remarked. "He
really whipped your ass, what a loser."�

"Hey screw you I'm no looser."� Goku retorted.

"No you're
a weak ass, beat up Monkey."�
Gojyo corrected.

"Grrrrrrr like you could do any better!"� Goku challenged.

"What did you say?!"� Gojyo asked angrily.

"He's
right you know."� Sanzo
remarked. "We're in no position to talk, no, we're all completely at their mercy."�

"I've
made up my mind."� Goku
spoke suddenly. "I know
he's stronger than I am, but
next time I see him, I promise I won't
loose again."�

Hakkai smiled from where he sat.

"In that case you better concentrate on getting
your strength back."� Gojyo
remarked.

"Come to think of it, I did see a nice Chinese
restaurant near by."� Hakkai
commented.

"Now that you mention it, I am kinda hungry."�

"Thanks a lot Hakkai, now we'll never here the end of it!"� Sanzo snapped.

"C'mon
guys, just an order of egg rolls."�
Goku pleaded.

"Maybe Tejas will bring you something back."� Hakkai offered.

"Oh no fair she gets to go out and eat!"� Goku complained.

Gojyo lent up against the wall
again. "Man it's been one weird ass two days."�

"HIIIIII! We're back and we brought"�. Dun dun dun CHOCOLATE!"� Tejas bounced in to the room and she stopped
seeing Goku sitting up.

He looked at her and she blinked as she looked at him, her face filling
up with relief and he found himself blushing.

"Goku"�"�
She raced over to him suddenly and wrapping her arms round him. "Thank the Gods you're alright Goku!"�

Goku found himself blushing even more as she hugged him, "You had me so worried."�

"I'm
sorry."� He looked at her
apologetically. And she ran a hand through his hair and smiled.

"It's
okay, I brought you some food, here's
some ramen, oh and some sushi, I got some egg rolls and you can have my inari's left over from dinner too."� She placed the food the bed.

"Oh wow thanks!"�

Tejas smiled at him. "Sorry
it's not too much, Raido's running low on money she might have to hit up
her uncle's temple for some more
money."�

Raido let her head drop. "Don't remind me, they hate me there as it is
already."�

"What'd
you do to them for them to hate you so much?"� Cyran looked at her.

"She brought me and Tejas in to the ground where
only priests and men are allowed."�
Vayu remarked. "Tejas
kicked up a stink cause they only served vegetables. And they wouldn't let her play games, or climb trees and do
those pixie things she does."�

Raido sighed. "Well we'll stay till you recover Goku, then we have our
own path to follow to India, it's
a different route from you guys, but I'm
sure we'll meet up again."�

Goku blinked and he looked at Tejas. "You're
leaving?"�

She nodded. "I'm sorry, but we have no choice, we have our own
battles to fight now, we ourselves have to get stronger too and we won't get stronger, if you guys are always
protecting us."�

Goku looked at her. "I'll miss you."�

Tejas smiled. "I'll miss you too. But for now just eat up okay?
You need your strength back."�

Goku smiled back at her. "Sure."� He began piling the food in to his mouth at
excessive speeds.

"Daaaaaaamn it never ceases to surprise me how
much he can eat."� Raido
remarked.

"Any they're not broke yet, how ever do they do it?"� Vayu teased.
