Shuichi was hugging his knees in the lounge area of the therapist building. Yuki was sitting in the chair next to him, reading a magazine. When Yuki noticed Shuichi rocking back and forth, he put the magazine down and grabbed Shuichi\'s hand. He squeezed lightly, and Shuichi looked at him. He had light black circles around his eyes from lack of sleep, and his eyes were bloodshot from the crying he had done earlier that morning. Shuichi tried his hardest to have Yuki forget the whole therapist thing, but Yuki finally got Shuichi in the car and in the large building. A young woman came out of an office that was off to the side. She had long black hair and oddly enough, bright green eyes. She did not look Japanese, but more American than anything else.

\"Shuichi Shindou?\" She smiled, staring at the pop star. Yuki felt Shuichi shake, and got to his feet to help him to the office. Yuki felt how nervous Shuichi was about this in the way he moved. His usual smooth movements and bounces were replaced by a mechanical walk. The therapist smiled as she let the two men into her office, and offered them a seat. Yuki noticed how cozy the room was. The walls were not the ugly white that the lounge area was. It was a soft red, with a brown tint to it. The curtains were a lighter red, and the couches were a beautiful bronze. The first thing that came to mind for Yuki was the season autumn. The woman pulled up a chair infront of the couch, instead of sitting behind her huge desk. She smiled as she held out a hand to Yuki.

\"I am Christine Brown,\" She smiled as Yuki took her hand and shook it. \"Eiri Yuki,\" he replyed, nodding curtly. Christine looked over to Shuichi, who had yet again had his knees to his chest and his face turned to the side. Yuki nudged him slightly, and he turned his gaze to Christine. \"S-Shuichi Shindou.\" Shuichi replyed as he hesitantly pulled out his hand to shake Christine\'s. After he greeted her, he went back to staring at the side of the room. Yuki looked at Shuichi, while he took his hand and held it.

\"Let\'s begin, shall we?\" Christine smiled, as she pulled out a notebook from her pocket and a pencil from her ear. \"You will have to fill me in a little bit, Shuichi. I only got minor details from Eiri-san.\"

Shuichi opened and closed his mouth a few times, obviously choosing his words. Finally he spoke, but to the floor. \"I...cut...and I...drink...\"

Christine nodded, and began speaking again. \"For about how long, Shuichi-san?\"

Shuichi shrugged. \"I don\'t know...maybe a month or so.\" Shuichi began to tremble a bit.

\"May I see the scars?\" Christine asked. Shuichi\'s eyes got huge, and he continued to stare at the floor. Yuki saw that Shuichi was not going to answer, so he answered instead.

\"I don\'t believe he is ready to show anyone else.\" Yuki replyed politely. Christine nodded.

\"So you have seen the scars, Eiri-san?\" She asked. Yuki nodded slightly. Christine then turned her attention back to Shuichi.

\"Shuichi-san, I don\'t mean to be rude, but I believe you need to speak up a bit. We aren\'t going to get anywhere without you telling us what is on your mind,\"

Shuichi continued to look at the floor. \"What do you want me to say?\" he asked, as he let go of Yuki\'s hand and hugged his knees tighter. Christine put her hand on Shuichi\'s shoulder.

\"We need to know what happpened that made you turn to alcohol and cutting.\"

For the first time in that meeting, Shuichi looked Christine in the eyes.

\"I...felt unloved...\"

After about an hour, Shuichi had begun to talk a bit more and things started to smooth out. Shuichi kept hugging his knees throughout the meeting though.

\"Shuichi-san, could you please leave for a moment? I need to talk to Eiri-san privately for a moment.\"

Shuichi nodded his head as he scooted out of the office. Yuki, who was quite confused, looked at Christine. When the office door closed, she turned to him.

\"How have you been dealing with this, Eiri-san? You seem okay, but I need to make sure you are not going to hurt yourself.\"

Surprised by the question, Yuki stammered. \"I...I believe I am alright. I would never-\"

\"I\'ve heard it before, Eiri-san. People who bring their loved ones in after suicidal periods often reassure me and say they are just dandy. But soon, they end up needing as much help as the person they brought in needs.\"

It took a minute for everything that Christine said to sink in. Once it did, Yuki smiled. \"I\'ve been handling it quite well, Miss Brown. If I need to talk to someone, I\'ll be sure to give you a call.\" Christine eyed the novelist carefully.

\"Alright, Eiri-san. I\'ll hold you to your word. Shuichi-san! You may come in now.\"

Shuichi stumbled back into the office and sat back down. Christine jotted down something on some paper, and handed it to Yuki. He glanced at it, noticing it was a prescription. Yuki looked back at Christine.

\"I\'ve prescribed a small dose of Zoloft for Shuichi-san. One pill in the morning. Just bring that paper to the drugstore on the main floor. I\'ll be needing to speak to Shuichi in about two weeks to check on how things are going. It was nice to meet the both of you.\" Christine showed the two men out, and Yuki went to talk to the receptionist to set another apointment. Christine watched Shuichi as he stood nervously behind his lover. She rested her hand on his shoulder and smiled. Shuichi tried to smile in return, but his face refused to move. Yuki nodded his goodbye to Christine, took a hold of Shuichi\'s hand, and headed to the elevator. Shuichi was quiet the entire time, merely watching Yuki as he picked up the prescription. In the car, he gazed out the window not saying a word. When Yuki pulled in the parking lot of their apartment, he grabbed Shuichi\'s hand before he could bolt out.

\"Are you alright?\"

Shuichi nodded quickly, not looking at Yuki. Yuki unbuckled both Shuichi and himself, and brought Shuichi in his lap. Shuichi curled into Yuki\'s chest, trying to hold back tears. \"I didn\'t think I\'d need pills Yuki.\"

\"It\'s not like you need to take them for the rest of your life. It\'ll be alright.\"

Shuichi nodded, pushing his face into Yuki\'s neck. Yuki felt his lover\'s tears on his neck, and he caressed Shuichi lightly. He heard Shuichi whimper a bit. \"I love you, Yuki.\"

\"I love you too.\"
