Chapter 6: Revenge is Sweet

Matt Dawson was having a bad day. It had started out alright. Esmeralda had forgiven him for being a jerk on their honeymoon when the door had been thrown open and a group of very ticked off men stood there for a second. Then one of them was pointing the three of them out. His friends hadn’t been much help. In fact they seemed to know that he was the boss, so they weren’t going to waste time with the others. Ikki wasn’t with them, which Matt thought was a small miracle. The miracle ended when he friends fell to the floor groaning and not getting back up. No one had seen the attack. The next thing Mat knew he was against the wall with a hand wrapped around his throat, staring into the coldest blue eyes he ever saw.

“I think you’re hurting him Camus.” Milo said
“What is going on?” Esmeralda said
“Your husband and his friends were the ones that attacked Shaka and Shun.”
“Something happened to Shun?”
“He might never wake up.”
“He’s alive?” Matt said.

It was at this point that Matt realized he should have kept his mouth shut. Camus started to cut off his breathing. The pressure didn’t stop for a few minutes and then he was on the floor beside his friends. Esmeralda was beside him and he couldn’t help but be impressed by her loyalty.

“Some one should inform Ikki about this.” Seiya said.
“No he’ll kill me.” Matt said and the fear was heard by all.
“You guys are wrong. Matt wouldn’t do anything like that” Esmeralda
“Figures Ikki would find a girl as stubborn as him.” Shiryu said
“Maybe you should tell me your proof. You better have it or you can leave.”
“Gladly, Mu go get Ikki, the rest of us will explain things.” Saga said. Mu nodded and just disappeared. “First things first, you never ever mess with a Saint of Athena, let alone two”

Mu thinking that Shaka would still be alone in his Temple, sleeping in bed, transported in the middle of Shaka’s bedroom and got one of the biggest surprises of his life. Shaka wasn’t alone, Ikki was with him. Shaka was laying with his head on top of Ikki’s chest, wrapping a arm around Ikki. Ikki was holding Shaka close and was stroking Shaka’s face. The bed sheets were thankfully covering everything below the waist, Mu didn’t know what to do if it hadn’t been. Shaka turned to stare right at him and for the first time he looked happy.

“Good morning Aries Mu.” Shaka said, not moving. Ikki looked over too.
“Hey.” Ikki said.
“Shaka you’ll have to teach him some manners at some point.” Mu said finding his voice.
“I suppose I could just withhold our nightly activities....” Shaka never finished. Ikki pulled him into a kiss. Shaka started to move his hand below the waist line and Ikki pulled away.
“Now Shaka, you’ve embarrassed Mu.”
“I beg your pardon Mu.” Shaka said and had to sit up when Ikki moved.
“Don’t worry about it. Look the reason why I’m here is that we found out who the guys are.”

Shaka froze. His friends had found the ones that hurt him. Yes he was over it, but what a glorious feeling, the ones that wronged you had been caught and would be punished. Shaka turned to Ikki and kissed him

“Just let us gets dressed and then take us there.”

When the trio arrived at the hotel room Ikki couldn’t believe what he saw. Matt was up against the wall, his lip split. Camus was being held in place by Milo and Shura. Esmeralda was clinging to Aioria crying into his chest. Two men were unconscious on the floor, all the Saints, except Aldebaran, who was still at Sanctuary protecting Athena, and Hyoga, who was at the hospital were all in the room..

“Dawson.” Ikki said.

There were two things Matt compared instantly between Ikki and Camus. Camus was a Gold Saint whose voice nearly froze you and promised death. Ikki, the Bronze Saint seemed as if to be on fire or at least a part of it, he promised a painful death. That painful death glare was now glaring in his direction. Esmeralda looked up at the sound of Ikki’s voice.

“Ikki no!” she cried out She stood now in Ikki’s path. “I won’t let you hurt him.”

Ikki said nothing, he just grabbed her by her shoulders, picked her up and moved her out of the way. Another Saint took hold of her wrist making sure that she wouldn’t move. Her sobs could still be heard. Shaka walked beside Ikki up to Matt.

“He’s the leader.” Shaka said, his voice quiet.
“I got your messages.” Ikki said and side stepped to block Matt’s view of Shaka, Camus helped him out with that “Now explain your two wrong choices.”
“Revenge.” Matt said.
“For what? And what not come directly after me?”
“You killed Esmeralda’s father. You took away her family.”
“That explains why you went after Shun.” Aioria said. “But why Shaka?”
“Oh that. You don’t deserve to be happy after what you put her through, so he was just us trying to make a point.”
“You really are an idiot.” Milo said “Can we hurt him now?”
“You already split my lip..”
“You left Shun to die.” Ikki said hauling Matt on to his feet. “Esmeralda leave.”
“No.” She said “Please leave him alone Ikki.”
“The police are here.” Aphrodite said, he had been looking out the window for just that.”
“See I win.” Matt said.

Ikki looked at Esmeralda who ran into the bathroom and locked the door. Then turning back to Matt hit him. Matt’s face turned with the blow and he fell to the floor for the fourth time that day. His face was on fire and there had been a cracking noise. He touched his jaw and winced.

“I win.” Ikki said and left with the others.

They got to the hospital to find Hyoga in the family room, head buried in his hands, elbows on knees. He looked up at them and they saw the tears flowing down his face. Seiya and Shiryu walked over to him, Camus took a step towards him but stopped.

“Hyoga what happened?” Camus asked.
“Shun woke up, the doctors are in there now. He woke up Ikki. I was telling him how the guys who did this were found and then he woke and told me not to worry.”
“Yup that’s Shun.” Seiya said.
“Now what are you going to do.” Ikki said
“Make it up to him.”
