Back with a new story. Felt like going back to my Dawn storyline, and since Imasuky Lomae liked the last chapter so much, I got May in this one too. Enjoy.

Dawn was lost. She was completely and utterly lost. It had been three days since she had left Jenny in Solaceon town and went off to travel by herself and she was regretting it. A short while latter she stumbled upon a cluster of fruit bearing trees. Rushing up to them she reached up to grab one. A large shadow loomed over her, making her stop. She looked over her shoulder and saw a very angry Ursaring glaring down at her. The trees she had been about to pick fruit from were in the center of the Ursaring’s territory and its main source of food. In other words, Dawn was in trouble.

Not daring to make any sudden movements, Dawn backed away from the Ursaring ever so slowly. She didn’t even reach for her pokemon, wanting to avoid provoking it. The Ursaring didn’t do anything other than watch her back away. Dawn felt slightly relieved that it was letting her go, at least until she backed into something. It was another Ursaring, most likely the mate of the first one. Now would be the time to reach for her pokemon. Dawn turned slightly and backed away from both of the Ursaring, cautiously getting out Piplup’s pokeball.

Unfortunately the two bear-like pokemon noticed and took it as a threat. Letting out a growl they both advanced on her. Dawn got ready to call out Piplup, but tripped over a tree root while she was still backing away. She fell onto her ass and lost hold of Piplup. Before Dawn could get up, the Ursaring were practically on top of her. The only thing Dawn could do was close her eyes and brace herself.

Suddenly another pokemon, a Blaziken, leapt out and struck one of the Ursaring with a might Blaze Kick. The Ursaring was knocked back several feet, but regained its footing. The fire/fighting type Pokemon stood in front of Dawn, taking an offensive stance, its wrists ablaze. Dawn opened her eyes and looked on in silent awe at the strange Pokemon that had come out of nowhere to save her. She was even more surprised when May, the girl who had traveled with Ash and Brock in Hoenn, came out to stand by her pokemon.

“Blaziken use flamethrower!”

Blaziken opened its beak, shooting out a stream of fire that struck the area between to two Ursaring. It wasn’t meant to hit them; it was merely a warning shot. The two bear-like pokemon glared at the girl and her Blaziken but backed off, knowing that they were outmatched. Once they had retreated enough May turned her attention to Dawn.

“Are you alright?”

Dawn nodded, “Yeah, thanks to you May. I really owe you one for saving me.”

“Think nothing of it,” May picked up the pokeball Dawn dropped and held it out to her, “Here, this is yours isn’t it?”

Dawn took Piplup back, “Yeah, thanks again. So what are you doing here anyway May? I thought you were in Johto competing in Pokemon contests.”

The brunette helped Dawn up, “I was, but I already got five ribbons and I’ve got plenty of time before the Grand Festival so I decided to come back to Sinnoh and look for new Pokemon. I’m also checking out the local restaurants to try all different kinds of foods here.”

“You’ve already got all of your ribbons in Johto!?”

May nodded, pulling out her ribbon case from her bag. She opened it, showing off five beautiful ribbons. Dawn looked at them, somewhat jealous, but mostly impressed with how well the other girl had done. May shut the case and put it away and then pulled out a pokeball.

“Blaziken return.”

Blaziken was engulfed in a red light and pulled back into its pokeball. May returned the ball to its proper place. She started to walk off, beckoning for Dawn to follow.

“Come on, there’s a Pokemon Center in a small town not too far from here where I’m staying.”

May led Dawn to the town which was only five minutes away from where she had gotten lost. The blue haired girl felt a little foolish at being lost when she had been so close to civilization. In the center of the town was the Pokemon Center. The girls went in and handed over their Pokemon to the Nurse Joy that was stationed in this town, Dawn catching the attention of the older woman.

Nurse Joy smiled, “No reason, it’s just that my cousin was telling me about you, among other things.”

Dawn blushed as she remembered the events of that day. She never would have thought that the Nurse Joy she had slept with would have told the other Nurses about it. She was just glad that there wasn’t anyone around to here it…anyone aside from May that is.”

The brunette’s interest was suddenly piqued by what she had just heard, “What do you mean ‘other things’?”

Dawn said nothing as May brought her a few blocks over to the restaurant. They got a table, sat down and waited for their server to show up. Dawn remained silent as May ordered for the both of them. It was only when May tried to start up a conversation while they waited for their food that the silence ended.

“So, what was it like? Your time with Nurse Joy I mean.”

Dawn hesitated, “I don’t know if I’m comfortable talking about it in public.”

“Oh come on, tell me. Please? I’ll tell you about my time with a Nurse Joy if you do.”

“Wha…You were…!?”

May smiled “No problem, hey I got an idea. How about we have a pokemon battle when we get back?”

“That sounds like a great idea!”

They arrived at the center and got their pokemon back. The two decided to just have a one on one match and went out back where there was plenty of room. Standing on opposite side of the battle field both girls thought over which pokemon they should use. Dawn chose first, tossing her pokeball into the air.

“Piplup, spotlight!”

In a flash of white light, the small blue penguin pokemon appeared. May pulled out a pokeball and tossed it into the air as well.

“Then I choose Beautifly!”

Much like Piplup had appeared, the butterfly pokemon came out of it’s ball in a flash of light, hovering in the air. May smirked as an idea came to mind.

“Hey Dawn, let’s make this interesting. How about whoever loses the battle has to do whatever the winner says for the rest of the day?”

Dawn nodded, “Okay, but don’t try changing your mind after I beat you. Piplup use bubblebeam!”

Piplup shot a stream of bubbles from it’s beak at Beautifly. Thinking quick, May ordered the counter attack.

“Beautifly dodge and use stun spore!” The pokemon did as told, flapping it’s wings and coating Piplup with a gold powder, paralyzing it. May didn’t hesitate to take the opportunity she had just created.

“Now use silver wind followed by gust!”

Beautifly launched the attacks as ordered, the gust mixing with the silver wind and doubling it’s force. Piplup took the attack head on, unable to move.

“Now let’s finish it with psybeam!”

Beautifly launched a multi-colored beam of psychic energy at it’s opponent, sending it flying back. Piplup fell onto it’s back, and stayed there. The battle was over, May had won.

A short while later, Dawn had been told by Nurse Joy that Piplup would be fine after a good night’s rest. Dawn thanked the older woman and left for the room she would be sharing with May.

When she got there she found that the room only had one bed, it was meant to be a single. May was sitting on the bed, dressed only in her underwear.
