AN: Working at Target sucks, and is awful for inspiration. However drinking tea can get your inspiration flowing again. Here is hoping I can manage another update this week.
Shaka came up from the basement looking exhausted. There were dark circles under his eyes as he stretched and yawned. Amita laughed softly seeing his apprentice so exhausted. "He held out quite a while, you look in need." He handed him a mug of coffee. "I'm proud of you though."
"Thank you." Shaka mumbled as he took a long drink from the mug and sighed. "He said that you have to take Lark Road until you see the dirt road that runs right along side of the lake, after that you just follow the road and you'll eventually see the house. That's where Shun and Seiya will be." Shaka said as he drained the rest of the cup and shook himself. "I don't think this is going to do. I need some sleep. Can you just relay the information to Hyoga and Shiryu?" Shaka asked as he gave a great yawn and stretched. Asmita smiled a little and kissed Shaka's forehead.
"My bed was lonely without you, and I will always have an open door to you Shaka." He chuckled hugging him before cuddling against him. "But you should go get some sleep."
"Alright, I'll see you in a few hours. You may want to check up on Ikki later, I would really appreciate it." Shaka said as he started to go upstairs walking straight past Shiryu who was already up and was coming down to get something to eat.
"Did he just finish?" Shiryu asked as he took a seat at the tiny table in the kitchen and Asmita nodded. "Wow… that's a long time."
"It is indeed. I hope you like Pancakes. It's what I'm making." Asmita replied as he flipped the pancakes and then after a time dumped them on the plate next to him before pouring the next batch in. "Shaka did what he had to do though. Here eat." He set the plate in front of Shiryu before getting butter and a bottle of Syrup for him and then going back to cooking. "Good morning Hyoga." He had heard the blonde coming down the steps, so he was able to greet him when he came in.
"Morning." Hyoga greeted with a yawn and stretched. He sat down rather heavily at the table and was surprised how quickly a stack of pancakes were put in front of him. "What's going on?"
"Shaka found out where they are Hyoga. I think we should leave to get them after breakfast." Shiryu replied between bites, trying to eat quickly. It was obvious that he was excited as they closed in upon the two beautiful young lovers. Smiling a little bit, Hyoga sat beside him at the table.
"Right, well don't expect me to just scarf it down." Hyoga grumbled glancing at the tracker showing Seiya's location that sat on the table. The blipping dot was moving about town at the moment. "Looks like they're out for breakfast foods at the moment, not that I can blame them. I mean they didn't get to eat all their dinner after all."
"So, its better that they haven't been able to eat much. It will make them weaker when we chase after them Hyoga." Shiryu pointed out as he took a sip of the tea Asmita had put before him. "Thank you again for your hospitality."
"Of course, its nothing for an old friend like Dohko." Asmita chuckled softly as he sat down with them at the table.
"It seems like he'd be at the grocers. Probably getting some food for him and Shun." Asmita shrugged a little bit. "I would not be too harsh on them; both of them may be terrified and possibly have been threatened before. So perhaps once you have them with you it would be better for you to be kind to them." Asmita suggested looking at Shiryu.
"Once they learn to behave themselves they will understand their places in all of this. Besides, I doubt they'll come without a fight." Shiryu added shaking his head. It was obvious that Shiryu felt that this was going to be more of a struggle and Hyoga in a way agreed. It would be true that both young lovers would probably be trying to fight them off, however he didn't think brutalizing them would be the way to go. With Shun's shy personality and the things he had read in the boys' records, it seemed like kindness might be the best way for Hyoga to worm his way into Shun's heart.
The pair fell into silence as they finished their breakfast. "Let's go gather up the gear and get going." Hyoga said as he got up, draining the last of his tea. Shiryu followed suit as they walked out of the kitchen. "We'll hopefully be back soon Asmita." Hyoga waved as they walked towards the steps to get their things.
Asmita smiled a little bit and shook his head. "So different, yet very much the same." He murmured softly as he picked up the dishes and began to run the hot water to do the dishes. There was a sigh that escaped Asmita as he scrubbed the dishes clean, thoughts running wild in his mind. It would be odd, after 10 years to be alone again. He shook his head, he couldn't keep Shaka here anymore, no, the boy needed to see the world for what it was.
As he finished washing the dishes and drying them, he began to move about the kitchen, putting them up in their proper place before walking over to the basement door. Opening he walked down into the dark basement. "Is someone there?" The voice held less fight than it had before, and it sounded tired.
"My apologies, I forget not everyone has learned to know their surroundings without site." Asmita said softly before flicking a light on and walking towards the chair Ikki was bound to. "Truth be told I came down to check on you."
"How kind of you, actually pretending you care." Ikki looked away, up at the tiny window which was showed a little bit of the blue sky and some grass. It was tiny and not near large enough to light the room, but it at least gave Ikki something to look at so the darkness of the basement didn't get to him.
"I'm checking on you because you're Shaka's new lover. I care more about him than anything else in this world. You should be grateful that he's taking you on, less you end a street lover." Asmita replied leaning back in a spare chair that sat across from Ikki. As much as Ikki disliked both the blonde men, he had to admit both Shaka and Asmita were very lovely in appearances.
"Whatever. If you don't mind, some water would be nice though." Ikki said looking away to focus on the window again. He'd decided to try and play nice for a little bit, see if he couldn't get a little bit of information and maybe some food and water out of Asmita.
"That won't be any trouble. Would you prefer tea or perhaps?" He asked getting up from the chair. "You held out quite some time from what I understand, that's an impressive feat. I'll give you that Ikki was it?" Asmita spoke as he started to walk towards the steps.
"Tea is fine. Just something to drink would be nice." Ikki replied to Asmita's retreating back. He had to wonder if Asmita was bored, curious, or if he and Shaka were doing the good cop and bad cop routine he always saw in old shows. If it was the latter, then he would make use of Asmita's kindness.
It was a few minutes later when Asmita returned with tea in a mug. "If you struggle, I'll make sure you don't get anything or are allowed to move until you leave here. No telling how long that will be." Amita said as he walked over and held the mug so Ikki could drink from it. The tea was the perfect temperature, and obviously had just enough sugar added to curb the bitterness. After several drinks Ikki pulled away.
"Thank you." He said softly looking away. "Will you… keep me updated? I don't want to be left wondering as to what befalls my baby brother." Ikki added after he asked.
"The moment I hear something I'll let you know, after I inform Shaka of course. Maybe even you first if he's still sleeping off having to stay up the whole night." Asmita smiled a little bit and chuckled.
"I was sleeping too, but it's very hard to sleep deeply when you're upright." Ikki chuckled a little bit, still trying to play friendly with Asmita in exchange for information. "Still, thank you again for giving me something to drink."
"It's nothing." Asmita got up smiling a little bit. "Well I'd best be going to check on Shaka. I'll let you try and get a little more sleep and be back in a few hours to check on you, and update you on any more information. Try and get some sleep, you must be exhausted." Asmita flicked the light off as he left and shut the door behind him, locking it. This was just in case the man somehow got loose. He then went to go upstairs to go see Shaka.
When he got up there, a slight smile crossed his face. The slow and even breathing of Shaka gave away that his beloved student was still fast asleep. It had only been about two hours since he'd fallen asleep. Asmita walked over and sat on the bed next to Shaka, he began to run his fingers through Shaka's honey colored locks before kissing the boy's cheek and lying beside him, draping an arm over Shaka's waist. "I will always love you Shaka, and should you need me, I will be there." He whispered nuzzling Shaka's neck gently, content to just lay there, trying to memorize every tiny detail of how these last few hours would feel.
Yeah I know I promised that we'd get to the big confrontation this chapter, but I didn't feel like writing it yet. So I just decided to do things… I'm sorry I have been working on this chapter for 4 hours straight and its now 4 in the morning. So yeah, sorry if the end gets a little confused or rushed! I promise next chapter will be really good and have lots more hard work in it. I just promised an update, so I wanted to get it done.
