Chapter 7- preparations and dinners

a/n aino minako will have a cameo in this chapter and so will other anime characters as the fic. progresses, like licca or rika, izamo and izumi from super doll licca, tamamo from nube, tokiya and miki from flame of recca and kurama and botan from yuyu hakusho.

When we went back after the weekend, yui and I didn’t get to spend to much time together, except for the tutoring sessions which we did in her house now, we were always being dragged around by our parents especially our mothers for fitting and guest list, and other wedding stuff

Yui and I said that we should just invite friends and family and should just be a private affair, they agreed and we all decided to hold the wedding in our beach house in Osaka.

Thursday came and the day of the test came, I passed with a surprising A, I can tell yui was proud of me, but obviously did not say it out loud, but I saw her smile, while stealing a glance on her. the only problem in school was soi who acts as if nothing happened last Friday. But I shrug her off and she ended up making threats again which I ignored.

Yui and I still haven’t told our friends that we are going to invite for next week’s event, namely tasuki, miaka, tomo, and tama, although I really haven’t talked to tama since we got back I’ve treating him with a cold indifference, which left him, miaka and tomo confused, hey the thought that she is yui’s ex boyfriend still irritates me and it irritates me more that he did not say anything about it. but I obviously can not say about it because I promised yui I wont and miaka will get hurt. But since it’s the last day before summer vacation, since there are no classes tomorrow because of a special national holiday, and getting an A. we decided to meet them at a private restaurant, to celebrate, at tell them the news finally, we also invited yui’s brothers and my cousin idol singer minako aino, a surprise for amiboshi.

I’ve also spent a lot more time with the twins since they know being family and all, and we became pretty close, theyre like the siblings I never had, and I know they soon will be especially since I’m marrying their sister. It seemed that I earned their trust ever since the time I first met them and went back. Suboshi, I found out was very playfull and a womanizer, because he said no one can get enough of his good looks, conceited jerk, I thought, but he always shows love for yui, seems to me that yui, although only 2 years older than them took care of them most, she acts more like their mom than their real mom. But I think it’s cute. I also found out that suboshi seems closer to yui and can’t show anger towards her because when she was 6 and him 4 she saved him from getting hit by a car and instead got hit instead, he got so guilty after that he swore never to let her get hurt again in anyway, but yui does not know that.

Amiboshi on the other hand is very serious and intelligent like her sister, I think he might more likely to inherit one of our companies with his brilliance, he is also gifted in music, but he really is an expert when it comes to flute. But he sometimes can be playful also, both of them actually loves playing pranks, like suboshi he really loves yui, but doesn’t show it much. And he has a huge crush on idol singer aino minako, who happens to be my cousin, he would always blush when his twin would tease him endlessly with it, but he doesn’t deny it. so idecided to step up and help him. That is why I invited her, since she is family.

And so Friday night came and we were all on the limo going to the restaurant. I was looking at yui, she was wearing a simple tight spaghetti strapped, knee length yellow dress, she really was beautiful. I couldn’t take my eyes off of her, I didn’t realized we have arrived, then suboshi cleared his throat, I snapped out of my daze, the twins went out first then me, I waited for yui then offered her my hand to take, she smiled warmly and took it. “you look beautiful by the way” I whispered in her ear as I was helping her out. “thanks, you’re not so bad yourself.” I smiled. I was wearing formal slacks, and a formal black button up shirt and a tie.

We went inside the restaurant, up the stairs into the private room, the twins walking ahead, already opened the door, we walked slowly, I can feel yui was nervous, I smiled at her and squeezed her hand. “hey you ok?” I asked. She nodded smiling nervously. I wonder what tomo will think when he sees his celebrity crush walking beside me and marrying me, the thought made me smirked evilly. Yui noticed and arched an eyebrow. I shrugged at her and she just rolled her eyes.

We entered the room and all I can hear was gasps around the room, tomo fell from his seat and tasuki, miaka and tama’s eyes was wide and their mouths open, mina was not there yet. I cleared my throat; tomo sat straight a light tinge in his cheeks. I pulled a chair for yui and she sat I sat down beside her. “so……um…..” yui started, unsure of what to say, I glance at the four tomo was eyeing yui with interest and lust, I met his gaze and glared at him, he looked away smirking, tasuki was not gaping anymore but still wide eyed, miaka was holding her breath and clutching tama’s arm, the latter wincing, but I don’t think that its because of the grip miaka has on him, he was glaring at me, and his eyes clearly showing jealousy, envy, anger, and confusion. I smirked smugly.

“I’ll tell them yui.” She nodded. “were getting married on Thursday, and you’re all invited,” I simply said, silence, and there it was after a moment, gasps, and questions.

“what? How? Why?” yui took a deep breath and I glanced at her. the twins smiling, clearly amused by the reactions. “you see…..” she started but was cut off by the opening of the door. I smiled and stood to welcome her.

“um this is my cousin minako” I told them, “hello” she bowed in her sing song voice, I glanced at amiboshi he was red all over and has wide eyes, yui and suboshi looked at each other with knowing looks, they were both biting their lip suppressing a laugh at their brothers state even miaka and tama were suppressing a grin, “hello mina” yui stood up and hugged her. “yui” she hugged back, of course they know each other they work in the same world, yui a model and mina an idol. “why don’t you sit beside my brother amiboshi” she gestured to him, “hai” she said in her usual bubbly state.

“your brother is cute yui” minako whisphered to her, but I heard. They both giggled and mina walked beside amiboshi, who stood up like it was a military thing and nervously pulled out the chair for mina, she thanked him and winked at him, and he gave her a tender smile. Suboshi was grinning like an idiot. Yui looked at me and smiled warmly. We sat back again and this time all attention was to us except for mina and amiboshi who has already engaged in a small talk, and suboshi who was listening on them.

“so anyway….” Yui turned to them, “our parents has set this up and well they won and we are getting married, so please we want you to come, we know this is weird but its for the better I guess. Look its complicated but please just come to our wedding it would mean a lot to us, just don’t say anything to anyone,” the 4 exchanged looks as if considering, then they nodded finally agreeing. Miaka stood up and hugged us “congrats you two, I know it’s a weird situation, but I think you two can pull from this.” She smiled. I thanked her and yui hugged her tighter.

“didn’t think that arranged marriage was still being conducted on this times but, whatever, I’m happy for you man” tomo clamped my back and kissed yui’s hands, she smiled warmly, I shifted slightly and yomo noticed he gave me a meaningful smile and moved away, tasuki also congratulated us. Tama did not move from his seat and was glaring at me, finally everybody settled down and ate.
