Sunday saw the team and Sammy meeting up again at Rei's. When they arrived it was to find Rei and her father yelling at each other while Chad and her Grandpa watched on.
"BECAUSE I ALREADY HAVE A BOYFRIEND!" Rei burst out in a lie.
"Now you didn't say that, young lady." Rei's father said with a frown. "and what's more whomever it is, is most likely not good enough for you. My friends son would be a perfect ......"
"How would you know?!" Rei screamed. "You haven't been around me much since I was a kid. I see you what once or twice a year?! Sure you call but do you really know anything about me? What's my favorite color? Whose my best friend? What kind of school do I go to?"
"Er....... your favorite color is pink, your best friend is Tukino, Ryu, and you go to the public school."
"WRONG!" Rei bellowed, then calmed herself. "My favorite color is...."
"Red." the girls, Darien and Chad said as one.
"Right." Rei nodded. "My best friend is....."
"Serena."
"Mina." Serena frowned at everyone else.
"Tsukino, Serena." Rei snapped blushing a bit. Serena was shocked by that answer she couldn't believe Rei thought of her as her best friend. "and as for my school I go to....."
"T.A. Private Girls School." the girls, Darien and Chad chorused again.
"Right a Catholic girls school." Rei snapped. "That I have been trying to get you to transfer me out of since I was 8 and discovered it goes against my Shinto teachings!"
Rei's father balked.
"DO YOU EVEN KNOW HOW OLD I AM?!" Rei bellowed.
"Of course." her father said. "You're 14. You still like crows don't you? You used to have two.......er......Phebes and Demo......"
"Phobos and Deimos." Rei corrected. "and yes I still have them. They are currently in mating."
Mr. Hino nodded.
"I understand." he finally said. "I will transfer you to Juuban Middle School ....." he pointed at Mina. "That is the school uniform your friend his wearing isn't it?"
"Yes, it is." Rei nodded. "Most of my friends attend Juuban Middle School, dad." She sighed. "Look I'm sorry I didn't know you were coming and made plans. Lita, A-san and Darien are teaching the rest of us Martial Arts because there is a pervert running around."
That last part was true at least.
"Yes, very well." Mr. Hino nodded. "I need to talk with father anyway."
Rei marched over to her friends and took them deep into the Shrine Yards where they discovered the out building where she kept Phobos and Deimos.
"For the record I know Martial Arts too." Sammy said, arms behind his head. "I've been training for five years now."
"She was lying about that." Hotaru told the younger boy. "At least I hope she was."
"I think it's a good idea." Serena said. "I never thought about it before but that could come in handy."
"You have it in for me don't you?" Hotaru asked.
"It could save our lives." Mina sighed. "So were you lying about the boyfriend too?"
"Yes." Rei replied, frowning. "He's trying to set me up with some jerk that I'll never get along with."
"Enough." Luna said, "Serena, Artemis and I talked about it and we want you to try the command "Gadget." "
"Gabget?" Serena said, confused. "Oh, wow, it worked. Whoa, communicator upgrade." she pulled out watches for each Scout in their color. "Much easier to hide because we'll be hiding them in plain sight. No Mercury Computer though."
"Gadget." Ami said. "I've got one too but still no computer."
The others agreed on the screen.
"Why are you here?" Sammy finally asked Darien.
"Lita said you're training." Darien sighed. "and like before whenever Serena transforms so do I so I might as well be here. Now what's with the screens?"
"You can see them?" Michelle asked.
"Yes." Darien said.
"I can't." Sammy frowned.
"Darien is linked to the girls and their powers." Artemis told the boy. "and you are not but we didn't know that he would be able to see them. Serena, can you activate Darien as well?"
"Scout Litst." Serena said, and looked it over. "Yes, do I have to?" she whined at Luna.
"He is part of the team." Luna replied back.
"He doesn't have to be." Serena informed. "I have an option to Deactivate him or any of the Scouts even myself. If I do that their memories will be erased and their powers sealed. I looked into it."
Mina, Amy, Rei and Lita all paled and backed away from her. Maybe they should stop being so mean to her.
"Hey, you can't do that!" Darien snapped.
"I'm the Leader of this team!" Serena snapped, "I'm to Lead us until the Moon Princess is found! I honestly don't think we need you for that! "
Darien saw red and went to hit her only for Amara to catch his hand and a second later lay him out.
"I'm going to show Darien to his car." Amara growled. "Serena, Deactivate him. If we need him later you can Activate him again."
"I think so." Serena said, frowning. "I better look into that but then I don't really care."
When Amara returned from dumping Darien in his car Serena Deactivated Darien.
"Yeah, here we go there is an Activate Option by his blacked out name." Serena said, "Hey, what's this? I never noticed this before there is a second option for Tuxedo Mask."
"Who?" Everyone asked.
Serena pointed down.
Sammy blinked up at everyone and pointed to himself.
"Me?"
"Yeah, what do you say?" Serena asked him. "Want to be a superhero?"
"Well, I want to protect you." Sammy said, slowly. "So yeah, suit me up, sis."
Serena activated him and Sammy spent five minutes figuring out the screens he got his own watch out of his Gadget screen. Then pulled a rose out as well.
Luna and Artemis taught the girls about an option in their watches to trigger a trigger a training program.
Moon and Mask dodged out of the way of Moon's monster both panting. They'd been at this for an hour none of them had been able to defeat their monster yet.
"Your attack sucks!" Mask cried, defending with his Bo Staff which he wasn't used to using.
"Get me in moonlight and I'd dust this thing!" Moon yelled back. "Good news is I got it to level 3. Come on, we can do this, brother."
Mask nodded and they kept going.
It wasn't much of a surprise when Uranus finished first followed by Jupiter both timed out and sat down to watch the others and call out advice. That advice was contradictory when it came to Moon. Moon listened to Amara's advice.
Pluto finished next, then Saturn, Mars, Neptune, Mercury and Venus. Moon and Mask finished last both drenched in sweat.
"Train like this everyday and do your training quests and you will get stronger." Luna informed.
"Okay, down to buisness." Amy said, "What do we do about that Nega Scout?"
"I've got her locked up in there." Rei said, pointing to the out building they were sitting by. " I transformed earlier and checked on her but all she would say was that she would kill me in the name of the Negaverse."
They kept talking about their problem for awhile before Serena got fed up. She was leaning agains Amara who had her arm around her.
"Luna, can't you and Artemis just call Command and ask them what we should do?" She asked. "Since I don't have the Moon Wand I mean? I should still have some kind of Healing Powers shouldn't I?"
"A good idea, Serena." Artemis said, "Except we no longer have access to the Command Center since you activated the power. We need to pick a base before we can do anything."
"Well, I don't think it should be at the Crown this time." Lita said, "It's impossible for us girls and Sammy to get to during the night and forget during the day. We need somewhere that would be easy for us to get to."
"How do you make a base?" Sammy wondered. "Is it like in a game? You buy or find a place first? Does it have to be a building?"
"Good questions." Serena said, frowning in thought. "Command Screen." A screen appeared. "It shows the Crown as a shut down base. I agree with Lita though it's too hard for us to get to. " she frowned harder at the screen studying things as she touched and tried things. "Okay, it looks like we just choose any place we want and the magic that gives us our powers makes it big enough for us to use."
Sammy lead them to the tallest tree in Juuban. It was in the middle of the park. It's trunk was huge.
"Here, make this our base." he told Serena. "It's perfect. We can slip in out without being noticed easily enough."
Serena did before anyone could stop her. She then took Amara's hand in her's and walked straight at the trunk. They passed into it. The inside was now hollow and was huge inside. The others soon joined them.
"Nice." Hotaru whistled turning in a circle. "Nothing here though."
"We have some free equipment and fruniture." Serena informed them. She began placing it around the room. "I have to warn you though it's in bad shape."
The computer looked like it was one of the first ones ever made as did the couches and chairs and table.
"Geesh." Amy frowned at the computer.
They agreed on the base and also agreed to leave the Nega Scout where she was for now.
