The three of them were still laying in bed together, enjoying gentle caresses and recovering from the emotional exhaustion of everything that had just happened.

"Kyo", said Yuki, "maybe I should just accept it and not ask, but, why did you kiss me the way you did?"

"I'm not sure" said Kyo. "It's pretty complicated in my head and I think it's a mixture of reasons, I wasn't really in full control of it to be honest. Did you not want me to?"

"No" said Yuki slowly, "it's not that. I just, didn't want to think you were doing it out of, pity, or looking for forgiveness or something."

Kyo's heart felt like it had been stabbed, part of it was the remorse he felt at hurting Yuki for so long but the phrase 'looking for forgiveness' hurt more than he expected, because he really was looking for forgiveness and didn't feel like he could ever deserve it, but also because part of him had wanted to kiss Yuki for the sake of kissing Yuki, and now he didn't know if Yuki would believe that. Will this be something else I feel bad about in the future he thought.

Kyo's hesitation made Yuki worry. "Was it?" He asked as Kyo hadn't answered. He felt a little sick at the thought that the kisses he'd found so exhilarating had been out of pity, he didn't want that, if Kyo kissed him he wanted it to be because he felt the same way he did.

"No" answered Kyo, "no it's not like that. I don't pity you, I promise. I can't truthfully say some part of it isn't me looking, for forgiveness." He clutched his hand to his chest and curled up his body a little as if in pain. "I don't see how you can forgive me, and I don't understand why you love me despite what I've done. I don't know if I love you the way you love me, I admire you, I, I find you attractive I think, and, the kisses did feel, good." In a quieter voice he added "if you don't want me to I'll respect that."

Yuki feel a lump in his throat, Kyo found him attractive! And he'd enjoyed kissing him. He hadn't for a second thought Kyo loved him the way he loved Kyo, or Tohru but equally he'd genuinely thought Kyo hated him, then thought he just felt bad for his actions and wanted to be forgiven. Love can come later he thought, and Miss Honda, Tohru's love is more important to me, I'll take attraction and enjoyment from Kyo for now, especially as it felt too damn good to say no to.

"Don't worry cat" he said smiling " you can still kiss me, and don't worry about forgiveness, you're already forgiven, I can't help loving you, and that love gives you automatic forgiveness, that and everything you've been through yourself" he moved across and embraced Kyo gently, he was surprised to find Kyo curling up more, into him, and letting out a faltering breath. "Thank you," Kyo said, "I don't deserve it, but thank you."

Tohru found herself aching for them again, they'd endured so much torture, so much emotional abuse, she wanted to wrap them up in her arms and keep them away from anyone and everyone that might hurt them. She pulled the quilt over the pair and snuggled in beside the curled up Kyo who relaxed into her touch. She swore she could hear him purring quietly and smiled. She was glad some of his cat like features had stayed even without the cats spirit.

Yuki felt the warmth of Kyo and Tohru against him and felt himself growing hot again. Damn he thought, is it that bad that I can't even lie here without getting aroused. "No, no of course not!" He said, "I'll wait, for my time with you, for whenever you're ready, I've agreed to share you, if you say you love me and you're mine as well as Yuki's then I'll wait"

"Now?!" He stuttered back.

"Yes, and there's no yours and Yuki's, we all three belong together, it's not sharing, it's family."

"Oh" he said and smiled at her suddenly with tears in his eyes, "my family" he said stroking her face then looking over at Yuki who smiled back.

"Our family" said Yuki.
