Chapter7
The smell was very intense, it was something like… no, he doesn’t even know that smell, it was new. He opens his eyes but he couldn’t see anything, everything was so dark. He feels the hurry and went to the bathroom. Maybe it was a dream he thought while he gives himself a quick look at the mirror. His eyes look tired and his face was all bruised. He tries to clean a bit his face pouring some water to forehead. Suddenly he knows that something was not good, he looks for the towel with his eyes still close and dried them only to find someone in front f him.
-“Trying to escape? Tut tut tut… that’s not what I teach you. I think I teach you not to be ungrateful and affront what you have done. Now let’s get back to the house and don’t you dare to try to do noise because if I heard something you’ll dead as your mother will be if she reports this to the police. Now walk!”
His father was pushing him out of the bathroom. He couldn’t make any noise but then how are they going to know what happen to him? He tiptoes all the way to the front door thinking what to do when suddenly the light of hallway turns on…
-“Kouji is that you? Do you need anything?” – his mother has listen something and now she was wake up and coming to his way. His father runs and hides behind the wall making signs to him. Kouji was now stand up next to the door with no clue of what to do. – “Kouji are you alright? You looks a little pale… are you sick?”
-“I’m ok mom… I just want to… take more air… I couldn’t breath.”
-“Oh well then don’t be late, you have to sleep, tomorrow is going to be a very long day.” – the woman continues walking toward his son maybe to give him a hug or may just to tried to comfort him when a broom stick find his way toward his stomach and the woman finds himself lying in the floor.
-“MOM!!! WHAT HAVE YOU DONE TO HER? LET HER ALONE!” – Kouji screams and runwardward his mother but the brutal force of his father hit him in his ribs. With that noise now his brother and even Takuya were doing noises in Kouichi’s room like running. Suddenly all of them were in the living room. Kouichi have a baseball bat in his hands and Takuya couldn’t find something better than the night lamp.
-“Ok boy’s… all of you, let’s do something ok? Don’t move or I kill her… is that ok? Oh Takuya you are here… I remember I have told to your mother some time ago something if I see you again around my son… do you know what?” – Takuya move a little. Of course he remembers that that man have promise to kill him but he didn’t expect him to remember that. – Don’t try anything if you don’t want to be dead then. And Kouichi… doesn’t it? I didn’t see you since when… you were a baby! You look exactly like your brother. I hope your brother have enough time to tell you that I keep my promises so put that bat on the floor.” – Kouichi slowly puts the bat down. – “Good boy! You!” – This time he was looking at Kouji. – “Move now, we have to go!” - Kouichi and Takuya saw the moment that the boot collide in Kouji’s face.
-“Hey stop it! He is my brother!” – Kouichi take this opportunity to take the bat and try to hit that man that was his father but the strength of his was huge and takes the bat away of Kouichi’s hands. That man was going to hit him now when he screams. His mother was biting the man’s leg. Takuya runs to the phone meanwhile Kouichi takes again the bat and hit that man in the back. Takuya began to speak with the officers, he was giving them the directions to the house, Mrs. Kimura was trying to stand up and Kouichi was with the bat waiting for any intent of his father to do something more.
The man begins to move, he first sits down and stand aside. – “This is the deal. I will let you alone… all of you, I’ll never come back but let me go away”
-“why do you think we are going to agree with you? You deserve to be in jail!” –Kouichi was trying to understand that man. – “what are we going to won letting you go?”
The man look at him and then a the door. – “Well… you maybe wouldn’t won anything but…” – The man jumps the sofa and was at Kouji’s side now – “You maybe could win some more time of live to your brother. Now I’m going.” – The man has Kouji with one arm, his arm was breaking Kouji’s neck, now they couldn’t do anything. But it was to late for him. Now all of them could heard the sirens of the police cars getting near.
-“See… you are lost! Now let him go!”
-“You wish.” The man begans walking towards the door and for the sounds they heard next he was punching Kouji downstairs. They also heard the neighbors of the bulding open their doors to see what was happening but no one could do anything to stop him.
They decide to look out by the window, the police was out there closing the street. They wait a little more when suddenly his father and Kouji appear in the scene.
