Love at First Kill
Chapter Seven
By White Angel of the Blood Moon
Those blue eyes stared at me coldly as the secretary of Hades directed his shadows in the direction of my head. Life as a kagetsukai must be interesting.......
\"Get out of my house!!\" I heard Tsuzuki scream.
\"Get out of *our* house.\" I calmly added.
The boy, Kurosaki, seemed almost sick with anger, directed towards myself as well as towards Tsuzuki.
I was determined that this would not happen.
No one was going to take my Tsuzuki away from me.
No one.........
Judging the expected speed and strength of the shadows, I made my move........
*******************************
Muraki stood in front of me as if to guard me from being taken. This situation simply filled me with fear, fear of losing Muraki........fear that Hisoka and Tatsumi would take me away.
My fear was turned into sheer terror as Muraki attacked, leaping fearlessly towards the two men while throwing up a shield to stop the shadows.
Several loud banging sounds were heard.
I was completely stunned until I felt hands on me.
His
Damn.
I looked up to see Muraki beginning to overpower Tatsumi.
\"Hisoka! Take him! Now!\" Tatsumi shouted.
Not for your afterlife......................
It was easy to overpower Hisoka, but as I did I saw the shadows begin to rise up around Muraki.
\"Look out!!\" I shouted.
Too late........
The shadows pulled him off of Tatsumi and held him tight with no opportunity to escape.
In that moment time seemed to stop.
I didn\'t breathe.
I didn\'t move.
I didn\'t blink.
And then........................
And then I heard a wet, snapping sound............
Then another............
and another.............
and another............
and another............
and then all was quiet...........................
All I could see was red covering everything.
Red on the floor.
Red on the walls.
Red covering the motionless body of my lover...............
I stood there...........and he didn\'t move...........
\"You have to come with us now.\" Tatsumi said.
Muraki still didn\'t move.
\"Muraki!!!!\" I shrieked.
He didn\'t move.
He didn\'t move............
I moved.
In a split second I had the katana out of the wall mount and in my hand.
I struck out blindly and felt the blade cut through flesh.
The I felt something warm run over my bare feet.
Hisoka\'s decapitated head rolled on the floor.
I heard Tatsumi scream, but I couldn\'t take my eyes off of the empty green ones staring up from the floor.
I closed my eyes and slid down the wall to sit on the floor.
When I opened my eyes Tatsumi was gone with Hisoka\'s body.
Muraki lay on the floor by the window in the dining room.
I slowly crawled over to where he was....
\"Muraki....\" I whispered.
His face looked so beautiful in the pale sunlight.
I gently shook his shoulder.
\"Honey, wake up...........\" I gently pleaded, \"Its ok now, they\'re gone! I\'m here! Wake up, honey!?\"
He wouldn\'t wake up.
Why wouldn\'t he wake up?!
Blood was everywhere.
\"Please..........\" I felt the tears begin to run down my face as I took Muraki into my arms and held him close, rocking him gently.
Tears, intermingled with blood............
He was still somewhat warm.
I looked at the ring on my finger.
The diamond reminded me of his eyes. Bright, sparkling, and oh so precious.
The tears wouldn\'t stop and the scalded my cheeks.
\"Muraki, I love you...........\"
He couldn\'t hear me.
He couldn\'t feel me.
He was dead.............and I fell into slumber with him in my arms.
