Chapter Seven.

Kafir approached the home of his love - Usagi. He smiled as he reached up to knock on the door.

The door flew open before he had a chance to knock to reveal Usagi. She was beautiful as always, garbed in a pair of blue jeans and white tee-shirt, with pale pink sweater tied around her waist. Her hair was done in its usual royal hairstyle and her sapphire eyes sparkled with happiness.

"Usa-chan...You are truly breath taking, as always." he said softly as he handed her the rare, exotic flowers.

�And you are a charmer as always. I�m so glad that I have you in my life, Kafir. How is she?� asked Usagi, as she smelled the flowers.

"Sleeping peacefully when I last checked." he replied and tucked a loose blonde curl behind her delicate shell-like ear.

Usagi�s mother came to the door. �Konnichi wa, Kafir. Usagi, be home an hour after sunset. If you are not home by then, we are going to call the police.�

�Mother!� exclaimed Usagi.

Kafir chuckled. "Understood, Tsukino-san,"

They walked away from Usagi�s home. Usagi whispered, �I wish she didn�t do that. I�m a big girl and he�s dead now and cannot harm me anymore.�

"She still worries, Usa-chan." he said softly, slipping his arm around her slim waist. "I don't blame her -- she loves you very much." he continued softly.

"I know I end up waking up in the middle of the night with her sitting at the end of my bed with this worried look on her face. At times, it makes me feel safe but then, I get scared that he's in the room and I have to turn on the lights to be sure." Usagi whispered.

He hugged her tightly. "He'll never bother you -- I made sure of that and I always will. From now, until forever, I will be by your side."

�He�s dead and you have restored my honor for what he had done to me that night, Kafir,� Usagi whispered as she reached up and kissed his cheek. �And you have restored Terra�s honor and all the women he forced, even if they do not know that their honor has been restored.�

He stroked her hair, reveling in its silky softness beneath his calloused fingertips. "He stole honor because he had none, because he was envious of your strength and purity of heart."

�And he�s nothing like you,� Usagi said, as she kissed him before they reached Kafir�s car. �You are noble, honorable, sweet, and a gentleman.�

He smiled sadly. "I'm also a galaxy-destroyer who could end everything in a moment's grief or rage."

�I know, but let�s go before it gets too late in the day!� said Usagi.

He helped her into the car before sliding behind the steering wheel. The engine roared into life and in seconds they were heading towards the amusement park.

They got there and rode most of the rides till noon when they went and had lunch and discussed which rides that they wanted to ride over again or what they wanted to do next.

Kafir chuckled and wiped a smear of ketchup from Usagi's lower lip with the pad of his thumb and, after quick glance around to make certain none were watching, leaned over to kiss her softly. Usagi smiled as they finished lunch. She loved him so much.

He cleared away the trash and quickly went over to toss it into the nearby trash canister before setting some yen on the table as a tip for their server. He helped her from her seat and they headed towards a small garden located by the outdoor restaurants.

They spent the next hour walking around in the small garden before they headed out to ride more rides but Usagi notices a stuff animal that is being offered to anyone who could knock all the twelve bottles down. "You could do that, couldn't you Kafir?" she asked.

Kafir smirked. "Hai, Usa-chan, I can. Would you like that stuffed cat?"

"Yes, but you can take it to Terra when you go back to the Sol Kingdom. She'll love it!" smiled Usagi.

He smiled at her generosity -- it was one of the many reasons he loved her. "Then I shall win it." They headed over to the booth and he paid the man for a go at the game. With ease he toppled the bottles after discerning the pyramid�s weaknesses. He used a bit more strength then a normal human to knock down the last bottles, which had been rigged not to fall over.

The guy could not believe it when he saw the bottles topple even the one he made sure would not topple. He turned to the young man and was about to say it was an invalid throw, when he noticed the look in the young man�s eyes that said don�t mess around with me look. �We have ourselves a winner here folks! Now you can claim the cat for the lovely lady.�

Kafir picked up the cat and handed it over to Usagi who smiled as they walked away. Another man quickly started to chew out the guy who handed Kafir the prize he won. Kafir smirked as he slipped his arm around Usagi's trim waist. Gods; how he loved bringing that look of joy and happiness to her eyes. It gave him hope that maybe there was more to him then being the Senshi of Death and Destruction, the terrifying Galaxy-Destroyer. When he was with her...he was simply a man in love.

They walked around the park for another hour, Usagi wanted to go to the White Sol Kingdom with Kafir to see Terra but the promise to her mother was hard to get out of.

Kafir noticed that she was thinking about visiting Terra. �Don�t worry, two weeks from now and you�ll be standing in front of Princess Terra, Usagi.� He rubbed her back and after looking around once more to see that none were watching, stole another kiss.

Usagi and Kafir went on more rides and spent the rest of the three hours that they had together. They were sitting in a restaurant watching as the sun set for the night and the moon started to show herself in the night�s sky.

�What will you have, miss?� asked the waiter.

�I�ll have a hot fudge Sunday with lots of whip cream and fudge.� Usagi said.

"I'll have what she's having with cherries, please." Kafir ordered softly.

The waiter nodded and walked away from them. It was no more than about ten minutes later, he returned with their Sundays. Kafir smiled as he watched her eagerly dig into her Sunday, he was a bit more sedate in eating his own.

�You are going to get brain freeze if you eat it so fast. Besides, slow down and take your time eating it, Usagi. It isn�t going to run off.� Kafir whispered.

�True but you can never tell when I�m going to get called away for a Youma attack,� she said, softly. She cringed. �I hate brain freeze!�

He stroked her temple and she could feel the pain depart as he healed the ice cream headache. She smiled as she went into her ice cream and looked at the clock before she dove back into her ice cream. She raised her head up again and looked at the clock again.

�What�s wrong, Usagi?� asked Kafir, noticing that she was not eating any more of her ice cream.

�Um the time of the sunset was about an hour ago right?� asked Usagi.

�Yes...oh no. I�m late getting you home!� he whispered.

He paid for their ice cream and they hurried to the car. He knew he could not drive there fast enough to get her home on time. �I just hope your mother doesn�t call the police on me.�

They pulled up to her house and he was swift in helping her from the car. Just then, a police squad car pulled up at the house, two uniform officers started to approach the house. But Kafir made a minor noise and they turned to look at them.

�Are you Tsukino Usagi?� asked one officer, as the other went towards the house and knocked on the door.

�Yes, I am. I just got back from the amusement park with my boyfriend�what�s wrong?� Usagi asked.

Kafir kept his face impassive. He really hoped he wouldn't have to do anything that could involve hurting the nice officers...

�A one Tsukino Ikuko, called stating that her daughter Tsukino Usagi had not returned home from the amusement park with her current boyfriend and she now feared that her new boyfriend kidnapped her,� said the officer.

Kafir had to keep from sighing and banging his head against something hard. "We were late in getting out of the parking lot at the amusement park. Many people were leaving when we were and there was a small traffic jam. You can confirm this because there were two police officers directing traffic."

The officer walked over to his fellow officer and whispered to him and then they talked with Usagi's mother, who looked relieved. The officer walked back to Kafir and Usagi and spoke, "Maybe you need to get yourself a cell phone and call in when you are going to be late."

He nodded. "I generally have one, but loaned it to my sister."

�I see no problems here. Have a good evening miss, sir.� The police officer said, as they walked back to their car and drove off.

He sheepishly rubbed the back of his neck, peeking at Usagi from the corner of his eye.

"Are you embarrassed that he called you sir, Kafir-san?" asked Usagi.

"More like embarrassed I forgot the time and this mess happened." he muttered, a wry grin on his face.

Usagi playfully swats him over the shoulder and smiles. �I too am to blame for forgetting the time too. When I am with you, time just stands still for me.�

She reaches up and was just about to kiss him when they were both drenched in water. They heard laughter from the yard and see Usagi�s younger brother Shingo running into the house.

�I am going to strangle him!� snapped Usagi.

He shook his head and wiped the water from Usagi's face. "He's not worth it, Usa,"

�Well, he�s going to get into trouble from mom and dad though. I�ll see you later okay?� asked Usagi.

"Of course." he kissed her gently. "You relax and ignore him. I'll update you on Terra's condition, alright?"

"I will. Bye Kafir don't forget the cat for Terra," Usagi said, as she hurried into the house and then the loud yell at Shingo for throwing water on her and her boyfriend was heard.

He chuckled and walked back towards his car. He drove to his apartment building and parked it in the garage. He scooped up the stuffed cat and went up to his apartment to change into dry clothes. Once, he was within his apartment, he sensed someone or something within his apartment. He placed the cat down and out of the way if he needed to attack.

A dark aura appeared around him as he silently stepped further into his living room. The air around his hands rippled as he summoned his scythe. He looked extremely lethal when he has his scythe in hand.

The form emerged from the kitchen as Kafir growled just loud enough for the form to hear. �Kafir?�

�Hotaru, what in Saturn�s name are you doing here in my apartment?� snapped Kafir, as the lights were turned on in his apartment. He banished the scythe and gave her a questioning glare.

�I came by to get clean. Seem that some boys decided to throw junk on a few of us girls as we left school this afternoon. Your apartment was closest to my school so I dropped in to use the shower. Sorry, if I scared you.� Hotaru said.

"Give me their names." he growled, going into his infamous overprotective older brother mode.

�I already gave them to the teacher for punishment. They�re probably expelled or suspended for three days,� Hotaru said.

�Well, they better be or I�ll be on their case,� Kafir said, as he ruffled her hair.

�Looks like you got wet. Did Usagi throw water on you?� asked Hotaru.

�No, her little brother did.� Kafir said, as he headed towards his bedroom stripping off his shirt as he went. He dropped his shirt into the laundry basket and closed his bedroom door so he could finish disrobing.

He quickly took a shower and got some dry, clean clothes before he stepped out of his room to see that his sister Hotaru was gone. He reached underneath the table where he placed the stuff cat at and pulled it out. He immediately vanished in a dark purple light to reappear in front of the House of Healing.

He walked into the house of Healing, looking around. Ares and Zeus were gone, probably retired to their respective quarters. Walking silently over to where Terra slept, he set the stuffed cat down on the bed beside her. Kafir slowly stepped away from her and slipped out of the room before she woke. Kafir walked towards the chamber that he had while he stayed there and thought about the day he had with Usagi.

�I heard that someone got a bucket of water poured over them,� spoke Eros.

Kafir glared at the blonde Senshi of Love from the corner of his eye. "Hai. Apparently Usagi's little brother thought we needed cooling off."

�So, how was your day with her?� asked Eros.

"Perfect.� Kafir sighed. "You're not getting any juicy gossip though, Eros."

"I already got it, Kafir. You won a stuff animal in the form of a cat for Terra and not for Usagi!" Eros hurried down the corridor before the dark Senshi could move.

"Eros, come back here!" Kafir roared and darted after the blonde. He reappeared before the Love Senshi, causing him to squeak in surprise. �I won it for Terra because Usagi asked me too. Get the facts straight."

The roar and the squeak caused several chamber doors to open to see Kafir growling at Eros. Kafir glowered at the others. "Go back to your business!" The sounds of several doors were heard closing and from one two male voices were heard laughing.

Kafir arched an eyebrow at the sound before he turned towards Eros and gave him a lecture about gossiping that should keep him off his back for at least a few weeks.

Eros cowered fearfully. "Hai Kafir-sama!"

Kafir smirked as he walked away from him to enter his chamber for a long night sleep.
