Um… I made a mistake… this is actually chapter eight in the
fic entitled “tripped out” (rather poorly titled, I might add…) but… on aff I mixed
up and put in chapter nine before it… sorry! (I don’t think it effects really
anything, just know that these events happened a while ago and my a/ns are
REALLY outdated… cool? Cool. ~ riley c.
I’m very proud of myself. You wanna know why? I didn’t check
my reviews like a psycho freak today! … The fact that this is because I haven’t
been home today has nothing to do with it… and neither does the lovely
“Gravitation” Book 6 I got today! (yes… I am a loser who can’t read Japanese so
I wait for the English editions to come out… someday I will see the error of my
ways and correct it…someday…) Hmm… oh yes, I should apologize for typos… (have
I done that recently?) the last week or so has put me into a lethargic state of
summer pudding. You’re lucky I’m even writing at all instead of just lying
around and watching my “Family Guy” DVDs… best American cartoon ever made, man…
oops… I said too much… story time!
Disclaimer: Don’t sue me. All I own of any value are these
really cool chairs and little horde of DVDs. And dammit, I love those chairs…
you wouldn’t take a poor freaks CHAIRS, would you? Eh, you probably would, you
sick bastards… Just kidding, I love you!
“That’s it… I’m getting out of here,” Kyo made an attempt to
sit up, but was kept from moving by the seaweed bonds restraining him. “Damn
it!”
“Maybe we should try to go do something else. We’ve been in
here all day,” Tohru sighed, giving into Kyo’s scheme.
“Still… there’s something strange going on here, I can feel
it. And whatever it is, it wants us to stay out of the way,” Kyo stared
intently at the ceiling, trying to think through the facts of the matter.
“Well… maybe we should stay here then,” she tried to get him
from his comatose state.
“Um…” Tohru wriggled over onto her side so she could see the
boy better. “How exactly can we?”
“Well…” Kyo narrowed his eyes in sudden apprehension. “If you
get close enough and sort of hug me, I’ll transform and slip out, then I can
claw you out before I change back.”
“Oh, that’s a great idea, Kyo! It’ll be so nice to be able to
breath properly again.”
“We can go on a walk. If that’s what you really want,” Hatori
reluctantly agreed on the previously posed suggestion.
He wrapped an arm around the woman’s waist and gave a rare
smile.
“Really?” she sniffled, wiping
tears out of her eyes with the back of her hand.
“Yes, we can go…”
“Hatori?” a voice sounded from the direction of the spa’s
double doors. “Who is that you’re with?”
Ritsu’s heart shut down as Kyo stepped out in front of them,
giving the “woman” Ha’ri was with a through search with his eyes.
“My name’s Reiko,” Ritsu let the corners of his lips turn up
to counter the nervous edge in his voice.
“Huh,” the cat stared a minute longer and then took his gaze
elsewhere, never taking note of the sigh of relief from the mystery lady.
“Hello, I’m Honda Tohru, it’s nice to meet you!” the girl
rose up from the floor it seemed, bowing politely with a friendly shade of
color on her cheeks.
“Oh… it’s nice to meet you too…” Ritsu swallowed. Neither
teen recognized him; their appearance meant nothing to harm his plans.
His next goal was to get Hatori to a romantic cave in the
jungle, a legendary spot for lovers. If he actually had sex with the man, he
knew it would mean the end of his charade, but so long as they were in the
secluded location with such a history of passion threaded into its walls,
something had to happen. Akito promised it would.
“So why are you two the only ones to come out of that place
alive?” Hatori’s voice ran thin to Ritsu’s ears, left bd asd as he started
imagining the things that would happen in that little grotto between him and
the doctor whose arm currently decorated his waist.
“We… escape… freed…seaweed…wrapped…” Kyo’s words drifted in
and out.
After that nothing got through the miasma, all was sweet and
tender love making, playing over and over again it Ritzu’s head with such vivid
coloration and emotion it was almost real. Hatori’s cold eyes glowed like hot
coals, and then inclined into blazing pits of fire all for him, all because of
him. The taste of skin, salt mingling with smoke, the hot air sweeping the back
of his neck, and the small noises of intimacy exchanged between two people. It
was a marvelous dream.
“…Reiko?” Hatori waved a hand in front of the lady’s face.
“Reiko, we’re going to the beach with Tohru and Kyo. We’re leaving now if you
want to join us.”
Ritsu closed his eyes and shook
away the fantasy, locking eyes with Hatori and almost dying from the sudden
pressure beneath the leather skirt he was wearing. The last thing he needed was
to get hard while masquerading as a woman.
“The beach?” he faked a cough, to get his voice to go up
higher. It got so husky when he was aroused. “That would be very nice, Hatori.”

“I’ve been meaning to ask you something,” Hatori whispered as
the rays of the setting sun bloomed across the water, a shimmering flower of
oranges, pinks, and golds.
They had sat silently for a while, munching on a small picnic
dinner with the two children and then sitting in awed silence of the natural
beauty as Tohru and Kyo walked off down the sand.
Ritsu sighed, the ocean breeze breaking onto him, peeling through
his hair and causing the white button-down blouse he wore to flap a little. He
looked very peaceful, almost angelic as he reclined on the blanket, his knees
drawn up and wrapped with graceful arms.
“You have? I need to ask you a question too,” he responded
after a long pause to soak in the moment. Hatori was so close he could smell
the cigarette and leather smells that he projected. This, mixed with salty sea
air was a power unto itself.
“Do you… know anything about the Chinese Zodiac?” Hatori let
the inquiry out before it threatened to drive him mad. There was something on
this island that had to do with the curse. He could sense it, and it may very
well be that this girl was part of it.
“Yes,” he blurted out before thinking. Now what would Reiko
say to that? She’d probably turn it into a flirt and then start kissing Hatori.
What a wonderful difference.
“Would you… perhaps mind telling me exactly what it is
you know?” the doctor requested somewhat pushily.
“Oh… um… it’s nothing just… there’s this cavern and…” his
mind shot back to the dark wet space, with the tender caressing of his body by
the man. Ritsu drew his knees in closer.
“A cavern? That has to do with the Zodiac?” Ha’ri was alert
with serious concern.
“Yes… and… we should go there. I’ve heard it’s really nice,”
Reiko leaned over suggestively, batting her eyelashes so they glistened in the
fading light.
“You haven’t heard… of a curse?” the dragon cautiously
questioned.
“Curse? On the cave, do you mean? No, I haven’t heard
anything like that, only that it’s a very secluded space, very,” she traced a
finger down the man’s chest. “Romantic.”
A cave that had to do with the Zodiac, and a girl who didn’t
change him when he hugged her what was going on here? He needed time to
think, to sort through the old legends beginning to replay themselves in his
head. They fought for the center of attention each claiming to be the right one
until they had shoved and slashed through one another so much, there was no
distinguishing one legend from another. And Hatori’s head felt like it was
goio exo explode.
“Look, why don’t we try that cave thing another time, Reiko,”
he took her by the shoulders and lead her off as he stood up, wiping sand off
himself.
“Oh,” she continued sitting on the ground. “Even if you don’t
know much about me you’ve been very kind to me. I probably should just be
grateful for what I got out of you already. Forgive me for troubling you.”
Reiko would definitely not act like that. She wouldn’t give
up without a fight; she’d drag Ha’ri there and rape him up the ass if she had
to. Ritsu buried his head in his upturned knees. Reiko wouldn’t sit here and
cry, wishing she had the strength of mind to keep up the game. He was a failure
at this role-play game it was all over now.
