Date Part One

Author\'s note Chapter six was a little easier and I\'m hoping to get more chapters out now. Although updates are going to be a little slow they\'re not going to be nearly as slow as they were before. I know this chapter\'s short but I the date itself it going to take atleast one more maybe two chapters. I\'m still hemming and hawing on the lemon, Yuki is being a ass...lol.. he doesn\'t want his body bottoming but he doesn\'t want his mind bottoming either.. -_- Anyway, Thanks to all my reviewers! You guys are great ^_^

Chapter 6
Date Part One

Eiri watched aghast as Shu walked away, laptop in hand. Getting up he grabbed the cane by the side of the desk, limping as quickly as he could after the blond man. “What the fuck is wrong with you baka?” He growled as he followed Shu into the bedroom.

Putting the laptop in the closet, Shu turned and faced his lover. Smiling he walked over to Eiri, pulling the man into his arms he kissed him deeply, moaning softly as he caressed his lover’s tongue. Breaking the kiss when they were both panting he grinned, “I’m not losing you Eiri. I love you too much to have this come between us. We’ll find someway to work it out, but in the mean time I’m going to do what I can to stop the rumours that we’ve broken up. So get ready Koi.” He said as he stood back. Grabbing a shirt off the hanger he pulled the dark navy material over his shoulders, buttoning it up as he walked out of the room. “Get ready…. Shu-chan.” He said with a secret smile.

Eiri’s eyes widened as his lover left the room. “You can’t be serious.” He whispered as he sat on the bed. Looking over to the closet he looked up at the top shelf, a place he would use himself to hide pocky from Shu when he began bouncing off the walls. The only way he could reach it is if he got a chair and he wasn’t about to do that. He had more dignity than that. But to go out? Like this?

Getting up he limped the bathroom, staring at the face looking back at him in the mirror. The bruises had faded, but his face was thin, the hot pink bandana on his head hid that he was still bald; although the hair was growing back it would be a long time before he could go without the bandana. He didn’t want to see the two large scars where they had removed the pressure from his brain. He had lost weight, Shu’s body beginning to look malnourished. He winced faintly, ducking his head. He’d done everything he could to bitch at Shu about treating his body right, but he hadn’t heard one word from Shu about the shit he’d done to his lover’s body.

Turning around he turned the shower on, stepping under the heated spray he washed quickly, stepping out and drying off as he limped back to the bedroom. Changing the bandana to a navy blue one he dressed simply in white button down shirt and leather pants. Grabbing the cane he walked out into the living room he looked up at Shu, “I’m ready for your little Charade baka.” He muttered quietly.

Turning around Shu raised an eyebrow. “Actually you’re not. On this date you’re not allowed to call me baka once. If you can’t act hyper that’s fine, but you have to be a little happy. Remember I’m the cold cynical writer and you’re the hyper lead singer. You have to call me Yuki or Eiri and I have to call you Shu.” He said quietly as he walked over. Caressing his lover’s cheek he smiled, “You look nice.” He said quietly, kissing his lover’s cheek as he headed toward the door.

Spinning he limped after Shu, shaking his head wondering if there was even a point if they had to pretend so much. Sighing softly he attempted a cheerful smile as they headed to the car. “I hope you’re right about this. . . Yuki.” He said quietly.

“If I’m not right, and this just makes things worse. You can leave, and I won’t follow.” He said as he turned into traffic.

Eiri looked at him stunned, “Do you really think this is our last chance?” he asked quietly staring out at the traffic.

“In all honesty Eiri, yes I do. If we can’t make it through this, what hope do we have if something else comes up?” he asked quietly making his way to one of more popular restaurants. Stopping the car he turned and faced his lover before the valet came over, “We can’t keep ignoring the problem anymore. It’s killing me, trying to ignore this, pretending it will go away. So I’m going to do what I can to fix this and get through what happened. The question you have to ask is, Are we worth it? I’ve already made my decision. Make yours.” He said as he opened the car door.
