Author: Lennith
Rating: NC-17! My imagination is evil and dirty. It’s still a humor fic though!
Pairing: KazuRyu, RyuKazu
Disclaimer: I am not a genius; hence I did not create Scryed! The story and all characters belong to Bandai, Yosuke Kuroda, Yasunari Toda, the little green gods, Bill Gates, and whoever else contributed to their creation. Namely, not me!
Warnings: This fic is YAOI! If you don’t know that term, I highly suggest you look it up before reading. Though if you’re reading Scryed fanfiction, chances are you know perfectly well what yaoi is and you’re looking for some man on man action. Well, rest assured, you’ve come to the right place
A/N: Woo! It feels like it’s been a long time since I’ve worked on this fic, even though it hasn’t been. I just got so used to updating like a coked-up termite in a balsa wood glider that it seems wrong to leave it alone for a week! So sorry! This chapter may be a tad boring, cause I have to push some plot around, but the next chapter will be MOST amusing! And I’ll be working on it ASAP. I really have no idea how long I’m going to drag this fic around. I guess until I run out of ideas… which could be a while! Thank you sooooo much to all of my fantastic reviewers!
Rena-nena : Why yes, you HAVE told me! *preens* I’m glad you’re enjoying my insanity! YOU need to update Endless Bouts, young lady!
Brightdreamer: Aww, no money for me! I’m sure my ticket to hell is first class, though! Hopefully I won’t puke all over the restroom, like someone else we know *sniggers* Yeah, I need to bring some of Kazuma’s dark side in at some point. At the moment he’s just enjoying marital bliss…
RedHedLvr: I’m so sorry to put you through the horror of having “It’s a Small World” stuck in your head! Haha, so glad you enjoy the honeymoon madness so far! Thank you so much for being a loyal reader! *huglove!*
Shikan: Aww, thank you! There doesn’t seem to be too many humorous Scryed fics out there, and I’m glad everyone is enjoying mine! Kuku, I don’t know about you, but I’d like to go on “Small World” now just for the novelty!
Quycksylver: HAHA! There should be a sign on that ride that reads “Mansex not included. You must provide your own horny boys to get on this ride.” Yay! I’m glad you’re back and that you’re reading! *tacklefloop!*

Reception.
“Hey, Ryuhou, do you think Ringo might let us keep these?”
Ryuhou adjusted his hat nervously. “Probably not, he said they were from in storage so he probably can’t. Why?”
Kazuma grinned, looping his arm in his husband’s as they walked through the fading light. “They’d be fun to have. And you look good enough to eat in that,” he replied simply.
Ryuhou’s lips tightened slightly. “You’ll have to dress as the March Hare if you want any action from me in this.”
“March wha?”
Ryuhou sighed. He should have known Kazuma wouldn’t have known Alice in Wonderland. “He’s a rabbit. Rather fitting, given your habits,” he teased with a smirk. To Ryuhou’s relief Ringo had the decency to provide suitable costumes. He’d been half afraid to find himself dressed as Pinocchio, or worse, Belle. Instead their new friend had displayed good taste and had sent them the costumes for the Mad Hatter and Burt from Mary Poppins. The outfits suited them well, Ryuhou in the dark evergreen suit, high white collar, large blue bowtie and hat complete with card of the Mad Hatter and Kazuma in the red and white striped suit jacket, white slacks, straw hat, blue bowtie and cane of Burt. A number of tourists seemed confused to see two random Disney characters walking hand in hand, especially when their physical appearances were nothing like the characters, but the two of them ignored the odd looks and enjoyed themselves.
“Hah, damn straight!” Kazuma exclaimed to the rabbit comment. He whistled merrily, twirling his cane with his free hand, and Ryuhou had to wonder if Kazuma hadn’t seen Mary Poppins before. His behavior was uncannily in character.
The park was enveloped in an ethereal glow, the sunlight almost completely drained from the sky and the thousands of fairy lights and lampposts that adorned Fantasy Land were lighting up, one by one. Kazuma snuck a glance at Ryuhou’s face and was pleased to find it looking relaxed and content. He knew he’d been pushing all of Ryuhou’s buttons since this trip began and it was good to see him happy. “Well, this is it,” Ryuhou announced, interrupting Kazuma’s thoughts. “The Queen of Hearts Banquet Hall. This should be interesting.”
“Huh?” Kazuma blinked.
“The Queen of Hearts was this madwoman whose soldiers were cards and she used flamingos as croquet mallets,” Ryuhou explained. This whole having to explain everything was starting to get a little old.
Kazuma eyed the building warily. The entrance was a gaping mouth with an m shaped hedge with large white roses. Once they had entered, which took a little persuasion on Ryuhou’s part, his hesitation dissolved into awe though. The figures of card-men bearing red and white banners stood at attention along the sides of the hall. The red and white checkered floor was crowded with brightly costumed people milling under the flower shaped pink lights that blossomed from oddly shaped trees. The walls and ceiling were painted to reflect the sky, glowing a deep blue with fluffy clouds here and there.
Their arrival did not remain unnoticed for very long, and once they were spotted it was practically chaos.
“Kazuma is here!” announced a young man dressed as Aladdin over the general buzz of the crowd and soon a couple dozen other characters rushed over to greet their guest. “Glad you could make it,” Aladdin grinned, pumping Kazuma’s hand furiously.
“Uh, do I know you?” Kazuma asked, peering at the young man’s face. He didn’t think he had met this particular character yet.
The youth hopped up and down in a very familiar manner. “Sure you do! Remember me now?”
Kazuma’s face split into an ear-to-ear grin. “Tiger man!” Ryuhou had to step aside quickly, bumping into a surprised Sleeping Beauty in the process, as the two started another vigorous bout of bouncing and body-slamming. Ryuhou watched in amusement until he felt a hand on his shoulder. He swung his head around to see Ringo’s serene smile. This time he was dressed as what Ryuhou guessed was an updated and far more stylish version of Merlin in set of slacks, a slinky shirt and trench coat topped off with the large wizard’s hat, all in perfectly matching powder blue.
“I see you both came,” he said, still smiling. “The costumes suit you both well, you look great.” He emphasized his appreciation with a low whistle.
Ryuhou gave him an appreciative smirk in return, though the man’s smile made him nervous. “As do you. Thanks for lending them to us, but now I think Kazuma wants to keep them. And thanks for not sending anything too… flashy.”
Ringo grinned, mischievously this time. “Oh, were you afraid I’d send dresses?”
“Yes,” Ryuhou answered bluntly, returning his gaze to Kazuma where he was being introduced to enthusiastic characters.
“Tut tut, such a low opinion of me,” Ringo chided, then started introducing Ryuhou to people as well.
It didn’t take long for Kazuma to return to his place at Ryuhou’s side. He shook Ringo’s hand with a smile and immediately started jabbering away about how much fun this was. The party itself was amazing. The people were all curious to meet the newcomers, many complimenting them on their costumes. The food was served on a long buffet that also served as an open kitchen where the chefs continually made and refilled dishes. Eventually people abandoned the hall and sat down in large groups at the long tables to eat and talk amongst themselves, several of the groups inviting Kazuma and Ryuhou to join them.
“This place is great!” Kazuma shouted, patting his full stomach. A year ago he wouldn’t have believed such a party could exist. He certainly couldn’t find a single thing to complain about, especially with Tinkerbell continually refilling drinks. Everyone was having a good time, the party getting more boisterous as more and more liquor was drained.
Ringo smiled, taking a small sip from his glass. “I’m glad you’re having a good time. We wanted to use the Tiki Room, but it doesn’t have any tables and we couldn’t get permission.”
Ryuhou smirked, only imagining how much crazier the party would be if there were singing parrots and totems to add to the show as Ringo explained the attraction to Kazuma who merely shook his head in disbelief. “What’s this party for, anyway?” Ryuhou asked suddenly.
Ringo shrugged. “Sort of an early farewell party for me, I guess. In general we just like to have a good time every now and then.”
“Well you guys certainly know how to do that,” Kazuma grinned, thanking Tink as she refilled his beer.
Ryuhou was beginning to feel the alcohol too, especially in his bladder and politely excused himself. Ringo watched him go before turning to Kazuma. “So, are you two really married?” he asked curiously. He’d wanted to ask about it, but somehow he got the impression it would be easier to get answers out of Kazuma. Especially since Kazuma was halfway drunk.
Kazuma paused a moment, obviously taken aback by the sudden question, before breaking into a proud smile. “Yes! Kind of surprising to me even now, considering we used to beat the shit out of each other.”
Ringo chuckled. “Well, they say sometimes the more you love the more you quarrel.”
Kazuma just snorted. “We didn’t ‘quarrel.’ He’s broken at least seven bones in my body and…” he paused, staring up in thought, “I’ve broken nine in his. Three of those were in his face, though, so I don’t know if that counts.” Ringo was obviously a little shocked. “The Lost Ground is a tough place. Well, it’s not so bad anymore, but still, get ready for some culture shock.”
Ringo nodded soberly. He’d heard about the gritty life most alter users were forced to lead, it just seemed strange to hear a married man boasting about how many of his spouse’s bones he’d broken. “Well, I guess it is surprising then.”
“Yeh, so don’t go trying anything on him cause he’ll break your neck. I know perfectly well what you were doing when we met,” Kazuma said seriously. “And if he doesn’t, I will.”
Ringo chuckled. “Well, I couldn’t help it! A beautiful stranger, looking freshly fucked no less, approaches me and wants to speak to me privately, what am I supposed to do?” Ringo sighed wistfully, much to Kazuma’s amusement. “No worries, I’m not the type to chase after married men. He’s quite the catch though, congrats. Not that you’re not as well,” he said, giving Kazuma an appreciative once-over with his pale green eyes.
Kazuma almost choked on his drink. “Haha, thanks, buddy. You’re quite the looker yourself.”
Ringo preened a little. “Anyway, so did you come here for your marriage? The Rose Chapel is pretty impressive for a hotel, isn’t it?”
The rogue alter blinked in surprise. “No, we’re here on our honeymoon. We didn’t have a traditional ceremony, thank God,” he shivered, the memory of the frills and pink bows still painfully fresh in his mind. “But I didn’t know there’s a chapel here.”
“It’s right inside the hotel. You should go take a look, it’s rather pretty.”
A rare, brilliant idea sparked in Kazuma’s mind. “Hey, Ringo, think there’s anyway he and I could sneak in there after hours?”
The magician seemed to think a moment, then slowly raised his arm over the table and into Kazuma’s view. Just as Kazuma was going to yell at him to stop being an ass and answer him a large iron key attached to a Tigger keychain slowly slid out of his cuff and into his palm.
“Ah, I guess this is for you then,” Ringo said with a grin.

“Kazuma, I don’t see why you’re in such a hurry,” Ryuhou gasped as he was dragged around yet another corner. “Or why I’m blindfolded.”
“Sssssh! Quiet! And no peeking, it’s a surprise!”
Ryuhou heard the distinct sound of a door unlocking before he was again dragged foreword.
“If this is some kinky stunt or something I’m not amused yet.” But just as Ryuhou said that Kazuma lifted the blindfold. To his surprise he was standing in a beautiful gothic chapel. Moonlight streamed through the graceful lancet window at the apse, gleaming upon the marble floor and the white roses placed along the aisle at every pew. Despite his earlier annoyance he couldn’t help but blush as he looked to Kazuma for an explanation.
Kazuma grinned a bit sheepishly, the dim light hiding most of his own faint blush. “We never had a real ceremony so… I thought we could say our vows again here and make it more official,” he said, struggling to find the right words.
The elder alter simply nodded, still too pleasantly surprised. He murmured an “ok” as he took Kazuma’s outstretched hand and they walked together to the altar. They stood there like that, shoulder to shoulder and hands entwined for a moment, simply enjoying the silence and peace of the moonlit chapel. They were both slightly nervous for reasons they couldn’t explain. They’d already exchanged their rings and vows before, but somehow doing it again in this place made it all feel more official and spiritual as well.
“Um, should I go first or do you want to?” Kazuma asked hesitantly into the darkness.
“You go first,” Ryuhou replied in barely a whisper.
The redhead took a deep breath, gathering his courage and sincerity before speaking as steadily as he could manage. Neither of them had meant to memorize their vows, yet they knew them by heart.
“From the first time we met I knew that there would never be a day you wouldn’t be in my mind. No matter what you say or do, I am bound to you. I have nothing to offer you but myself, but I promise that I will give you every drop of blood in my body and every feeling in my heart. If you are in danger, I will protect you. If you are hurt, I will nurse you. If we’re separated, I’ll tear the walls down. Until I breathe my last breath and maybe even after that, I join my life to yours, Ryuhou, if you are willing to take it.” Kazuma couldn’t help but shift a little uncomfortably, feeling his cheeks heat. Even if he knew Ryuhou had already accepted him, it was still hard to lay down such volatile emotions.
With a by now flaming blush, Ryuhou cleared his throat weakly before he began his vows.
“For so many years all I knew was coldness and hatred, but it is you who has taught me joy. Even when we fought it was present and addicting and now I know that without it life is empty and meaningless to me. I thought the only way to walk was alone, but now I can only walk with you at my side. No matter what obstacle faces us, if I am with you I know no fear. No matter how deep the wound, if you are with me there is no pain. I join my life with yours forever, wherever our path takes us and regardless of how hard the journey. I only ask that you give yourself to me as I give myself to you: my heart, my body, my soul.”
Kazuma smiled broadly and pulled Ryuhou into a gentle kiss that Ryuhou melted into, wrapping his arms around his husband’s neck. They had both understood eachother the first time the words were said, but the feeling of fulfillment and genuine devotion that filled both their minds with ease was overwhelming. After struggling together for so long it was blissful to lay their worries aside and take comfort in one another.
“I now pronounce you man and… well man,” a voice said beyond their hearing at the doorway. With a little smile Ringo took the key from where Kazuma had left it in the door and pocketed it before quietly leaving. Ah yes, it was enviable indeed.
To be continued…
