We've reached a small hitch, captain

He parked the bike outside of the apartment buildings and took off his helmet. The sun shone brightly on the white complex before him and he sighed. He walked down the sidewalk, and began his acsent to the third floor where he knew Yuki-san lived. He only hoped that the mentioned novelist wasn't at home. He stopped at the door to the apartment and rang the doorbell, looking side to side as he waited for whoever was inside to open the door. He glanced up as it unlocked and swung open, and Hiro smiled down at the big eyed, pink haired boy that opened it. "Hey, Suichi. Heard you called me last night?"

A small scowl formed over a smile. "Yeah, eleven times. Where were you?"

"Detained...hey, can I come in for a while?"

"Sure...something wrong?" Suichi lifted an eyebrow at the nervous glances Hiro was throwing over his shoulders, as if making sure no one was following him.

"Nothing..right now." Hiro squeezed past Suichi and headed towards the couch in the living room. "Is Yuki-san here?"

"No, he went out a while ago. Why?"

"Just making sure I won't get interrupted... yet, anyway." Hiro sat down, pulling out the large envelope he had stuffed in his jacket as he did so. He hoped the envelope didn't get squished on the bike ride over here, or K would have even more to be pissed off about. Hiro knew it was wrong, or at the very least a bad idea, to take the envelope from K's place, especially considering the huge fuss the two had made about thier....activites, the night before, but Hiro had to know. He HAD to know why K's wife was choosing to leave him.

K, in his opinion, wasn't a bad guy. He was a reckless guy and a spazmatically American guy, but he seemed devoted enough. Still....Hiro pulled out the papers and flipped through the thick stack until he came to the ones he was looking for. 'REASON FOR DIVORCE: ABANDONMENT OF SPOUSE'. Hiro blinked for a moment before his confusion slowly melted into annoyance. "Abandoment of Spouse"? He put the papers down for a moment before he picked them back up again and looked at the line once more. He was aware K's wife was an actress in America, and that K had been away from her for a while because of his job managing Bad Luck, but as far as he knew having a job in a different country didn't quite apply as 'abandoment' in his book. He was too engrossed in his thoughts to notice Suichi leaning over his shoulder to look at what he was holding.

"What are those?"

Hiro jumped slightly before he sighed. "They're K's. I took them from his apartment."

"What were you doing at K's apartment? Is that where you were last night? Does K know you have these? What are th-" Suichi was about to continue speaking until the front door was softly knocked on, and the singer stood up and walked over to answer it. It wasn't until he heard the front door open, Suichi letting out a half screamed warning and the familiar 'click' of a gun safety being released did Hiro realize what was happening, and he lifted his eyes to look dead straight down the barell of a gun...pointed right at his forehead. Hiro followed the gun barell upwards until his eyes rested on the red, angry face of one K Whinchester.

"Um...I can explain?"

"You'd better, unless you want a couple rounds fired into your head! What the hell were you thinking, Nakano, taking those things?! This is none of your business, none of your FUCKIN' bussiness!" K's voice came out a growling yell, and Hiro flinched a bit at the volume of the words.

"K....I just wanted t-"

"To what! See the reason why my wife doesn't want me anymore?! Read for yourself why I'm not good enough for her, is that it!" The long barelled rifle K held in his hands was shaking a bit, and Hiro could see from his manager's teary blue eyes K was trying not to cry again. Hiro gathered up the papers in front of him, careful not to move too much less the barell push further into his forehead, and he put them back in the envelope before he handed it to K. The blonde snatched them up, the gun never moving from the guitarest's forhead.

Hiro frowned a bit and lifted his head, the barell of the gun now resting between his eyes. "K, I read the papers, and it's a load of bullshit! I know you would never do something like that!"

"What does it matter to you, huh?...why do you care if I'm not liked anymore, if my own wife doesn't even want me anymore?...why should it matter to you?" K's voice had grown steadily more quiet, and now it dropped to just above a mumble as the gun in his hands lowered towards the couch, eventually resting right at Hiro's crotch as K's head fell to his chest. "Why do you even bother?"

Hiro scooted back away from the muzzle of the gun so that now, if shot, it would fire into the couch and not his groin, before he returned his gaze to his manager. The older man was shaking a bit, the hand that once held the envelope now covering his eyes. the envelope had been tossed on the table beside the couch, and now sat there practically unnoticed. K hadn't even bothered to put his hair up in his obvious rush to get to Hiro, and it fell sloppily over one shoulder as he leaned over. Hiro watched as K sat down, putting the gun on the floor as he did so. "B...Becasue I know you, and I know you wouldn't do something like that to her...and...people like you..lots of people like you..Seguchi-san, and Fujisaki...and Suichi likes you, right Suichi?"

Suichi stood a ways away, looking back and forth between Hiro and K, confused at the source of the arguement He wasn't sure what they were yelling about, and was eve more confused about the way K was acting. Still, he knew that if it concerned K and involved a gun, the questions could wait until later. "Uh, yeah, when he's not shooting me..."

Hiro inwardly cringed, sure that Suichi's answer MORE than likely didn't help. "And...and I like you..." Hiro met K's eyes as the blonde glaned up at him, a look in them Hiro had never seen before. K scowled slightly as he lifted his head and looked Hiro deadpan in the eyes.

"....Why?"

"..Because...I..."

"Because he's had a crush on ya ever since he met you, that's why. Riddle solved, question answered. Now get the hell out of my apartment." Both men blinked, then looked up at the doorway. Yuki, now present, stood there, bag in one arm and a scowl on his face, as usual. He looked down at K with a lifted eyebrow. " I could hear you guys screaming down the hall...As old as you are, you should've known that, or else you're oblivious. Any idiot could tell just by looking at him, and just because I write romances doesn't mean I wanna see one acted out in my living room.If you're gonna scream at each other, do it somewhere else." Yuki snorted and turned towards his study, saying nothing more as he entered the room and shut the door firmly behind him.

Suichi blinked at the two of them before he cleared his throat. "I'll..uh..get the door." He turned and walked quickly towards it, hoping K would have some mercy on Hiro...or at least on Yuki's apholstry, and not shoot the singer's best friend. He heard both men stand behind him, and wasn't surprised to see Hiro walking towards the door first, slowly followed by K bringing up the rear with shotgun pressed against the back of Hiro's head. He waited until they had both stepped outside before he caught K's attention. "Ah, look, I have no clue what's going on here, K, but don't shoot Hiro! He was honestly worried for you!"

K glanced at Suichi out of the corner of his eye, and he grunted in response. "Don't worry, Suichi...we're just going to have a little TALK, that's all."

Suichi watched the two men walk towards the stairwell, wondering if this could look anymore like an arrest than it already did. "A talk about what?" He was never answered as the two men turned and disappeared out of sight.
* * * * *

"Open the door." The door was opened, and Hiro walked into K's apartment yet again, wondering when K would turn the gun off of him. Hiro heard the door slam close before the pressure on the back of his skull was gone, and he was spun around to look up at the blonde that towered over him.

The walk back to K's apartment had been an interesting one, and Hiro was sure he'd had more pictures taken of him in the last fifteen minutes than any concert he'd ever performed in. Now the man in front of him was looking at him with serious eyes, and Hiro knew he couldn't convince his way out of this one. "...K--"

"Start talking, Nakano!"

"About what?"

"About WHAT?" The blonde's scowl deepened more, and he held up the envelope in his free hand as he set the gun down on his couch. "How about THIS for one? How about what Yuki said for another?!"

Hiro blinked at bit as he stared at the envelope, glad it was there so he wouldn't have to look K in the eyes. "I told you....I wanted to know..."

"WHY?" K waited for Hiro to answer, and when the younger man didn't he kept going. "And what about what Yuki said, huh? Is that true?"

Hiro prayed the blush he could feel forming on his face wasn't visible. "..."

"WELL?"

Hiro didn't say anything as he lifted his head, his face set in a small scowl. "And what if it is?" He watched K blink, but he didn't give K the chance to respond. He had to get the one up over K now, or he'd never be able to again. Without thinking he grabbed the thick locks of blonde falling over K's shoulder and pulled, bringing the blonde's face down straight to his own, their lips locking for the briefest of moments before K pulled back, his face starting to pinken.

"....Nakano?"

"..I gotta go." Hiro could feel his face starting to burn from his own blushing, and moved around K quickly towards the door. That, he knew, was probably the biggest mistake he could've made, now more than ever. He was halfway towards the door when the collar of his jacket was grabbed, and he was once again spun around to look, faces only inches apart, into K's eyes. The blonde had grabbed both of his arms, and now had him pinned against him in a tight grip. Hiro could feel his pulse starting to go faster, and he tried to move away from the seriousness in K's eyes. "Listen, I...!" Hiro was cut off as the other man's mouth was placed over his own, blonde hair falling around his face as the older man kissed him. His eyes flew open at the sudden contact, and he could feel himself being pushed back against the wall yet again. K had his body pressed against Hiro's, and while the kiss was only brief, it was enough to leave Hiro breathless. It was over as soon as it had begun, and he could feel K lower his face into the crook of the guitarest's neck. "....K?"

"Are you lying to me?"

Hiro, despite the moment, scowled. "Why would I be lying to you about something like this?"

K didn't respond at first, simply pushed himself back from Hiro and stood there, his eyes closed as he took a deep breath, face towards the ceiling. "You chose one hell of a time to tell me, Hiro." He opened his eyes, looked down at the auburn haired man and raised the envelope still in his hand. "But that's why you had to know...isn't it?"

Hiro sighed and nodded. "Yes..."

"And now that you know, and now that I know, what are we going to do about it?"

Hiro smirked, half joking as he looked up at K with a lifted eyebrow. "Make out about it?"

K stood there for a moment before he tossed the envelope back on the kitchen table where it belonged and turned back to Hiro. With one fell swoop he grabbed the smaller man around the waist and turned him so his back was to the couch before he pushed Hiro down on it. "Sounds good to me."
