Chapter 13: blissful sleep

A faint light filtered through the window. The air in the room was cold but she was warm. Warmed by her guardian, her best friend, her groom, her lover. He held her close to protect her from the chill. She opened her eyes to find him still gazing upon her. his kind features comforted her. “did you sleep well Saya?” his lips turned a smile toward her. in turn she brushed his cheek with hers and whispered to him. “Haji, you never cease to amaze me. “ “my only wish is to stay with you to insure your happiness for all eternity.” He slightly brushed his lips against it before he was pulled in to Saya’s deep embracing kiss. Pulling away from his lips she traced his jaw line moving to his earlobe. Playing with him before kissing her way to his manhood. Looking a little surprised he moved back slightly but she just held him tighter. “Haji let me.. please.” His brow curved as a solemn expression crossed his face. “Gomen Nasai.” “Haji, are you ok?” “Is that your wish?” “Haji is it yours?” “My wish may only be expressed as yours.” “I know it has been hard for both of us but especially you Haji. The air was thick with the summer heat. Saya’s sleep drew closer each day. She spent most of the day in bed Haji ever-present at her side ready to attend to her next request. She sat up in bed Haji quickly moved to her aid as she tilted. “Saya are you all right?” “I’m ok for now, Haji I’m going to take a shower.” He helped her undress and carried her to the shower. “Haji?” she questioned him as he began to undress as well. “I will not let you fall Saya.” he gently cleansed her silky skin as she seemed detached from herself and the world around her. not even did she react when he cleansed her more sensitive parts. The world seemed to spin around her before she lost all senses. She fell in to him his eyes dilating slightly as he caught her. he wrapped a towel around her small figure. Setting her on his lap he rubbed the towel across her skin taking off the excess water. “Arigatou.. Haji.” He wrapped the towel around her shoulders and followed her in to the bedroom. He helped her dress before dressing himself. There was a knock on the door. “come in” Saya called. Mao burst through the door. “Saya! oh are you busy?” her eyes fell on the two. Haji looked up from buttoning his sleeves his hair still wet from the shower. “no it’s ok what did you want again.” “oh well.. I was wondering what you want for lunch if you want to we can go out.” “just give me a minute.” “ok but only a minute.” The door shut behind her. Haji griped her waist. She turned in his arms. he bent but Saya pushed him to on the bed and penetrated his flesh with her elongated fangs. “Saya….” he whispered to her. The door burst open again “All right that’s a minute…Saya?” Saya turned to look at Mao eyes burning wildly her fangs still clasped his neck. “Saya?” her eyes were filled with terror at the sight of Saya compressing Haji drinking his blood their damp hair pooling on the pillow. “Saya…Saya…” the rage in her eyes faded as she released Haji from her hold on him. She sat up Haji next to her taking his handkerchief to wipe the excess blood dripping from her mouth. “Arigatou Haji..” she turned to Mao “gomen nasai Mao.” Her head was low. Mao walked over and sat on the bed next to them. “It’s ok Saya you just startled me..” “No Mao you shouldn’t have seen you had the same look as ..Kai.” “Saya..” Haji wrapped an arm around her waist. “Saya you held the same expression as when I showed my true form. The first time you saw my hand before you regained your memories. Saya ..” “Haji.. are we really that scary?” his cool hand brushed against her face. “Fear is in the eye of the beholder as beauty.
