This is a work of fiction. I don't own pokemon. Don't sue me. I'm not making money here. The character Angel is mine. Thank you.

AN: Booooo. No comments to reply to! Where are my loyal fanzzzz? I guess I\'ve been too spastic. xD But, blame the writing bug, its not getting along with my muse and my time schedule....

Gary had taken longer than she\'d wanted, but it had given Angel time to think - and clean up. Moonlight\'s ... sickness. Whatever this was. Had gotten worse. Many many times worse. In the beginning, it was just an aura, a mood, a sneer. Now it had taken over his whole body, his mind, soul, and WAS him. Her little baby was evil - to the core. The only thing that held her emotions in tact was the belief that he would get better - Moonlight wasn\'t going to stay this way. There would be no dramatic, theatrical "switch", it would be a long and hard process, one she was sure would destroy her bond with the Pokemon. But, that\'s what her other pokemon were for - right?
*Knock knock.*
Angel had long since finished cleaning when the boys arrived. Off the TV went, before she opened the door. Gary there stood, alone.
"What...Where\'s George?" With a heavy-looking frown, Gary jammed his hands awkwardly in his pocket.
"He uh, he\'ll be coming along behind me. Said he wanted to grab a few things, as he\'s not going to be returning to base without you. They\'re getting nasty without a leader; Proton, Petrel, Archer, and Ariana are all arguing over who has more seniority, and who gets to lead now that Giovanni has been taken. They\'re beating up anyone who says otherwise, and all three of them are ready to kill each other, and their pokemon. It\'s not looking good, they need someone to stop them...So I thought I\'d come ahead, and see what was going on..." he commented, glancing over at Moonlight, who\'d fallen asleep in the middle of the bed. "Is everything okay?"
"...Yeah, fine so far..." she lied, crossing her arms over her chest. "He\'s very angry with me for leaving him in his pokeball like that, but I guess that\'s why Oak added the shock collar, just in case. Whatever is wrong with him, it\'s getting worse. I guess we\'ve just gotta keep--" she was cut off by a faint knock at the door. It had been left ajar, and the figure behind the cracked door was none other than the tiny little 16 year old blond girl from earlier, clad in nothing more than a barely long enough shirt, and a nervous, shy expression.
"Hi, um, sorry to interrupt..." her quiet voice came, her face downcast, as if scared to look. "You uh, saw me earlier, with my Houndoom....I know you, you were on TV...that means you know a lot of people..." she explained, twirling a finger in her short hair. "...I beg you to keep silent...I know many people too, and no one can know about it...please...I will give you this pokemon, in exchange for your silence....He\'s never been used before, he was a gift, but....I don\'t need one like him...I have my Houndoom...So please...tell no one..." the thin girl placed an Ultra Ball on the table nearby, and just as suddenly, vanished.
Gary blinked a few times, and tipped his head. "What was THAT about?" he quizzed, eying the ball before them. With a sly smirk, Angel palmed the ball, and inwardly thanked herself for being a snoop this time. "Let\'s just say I witnessed something that would destroy her reputation if it got out. I had no intention of mentioning it, but hey, I got a free pokemon out of it." After a moment, Angel pressed her scanner open. "Scan the Ultra Ball."
"SCANNING. Pokemon contained: Lucario. Male. This pokemon is of level 40 with a Quiet Nature, with the following moves: Aura Sphere, Dragon Pulse, Psychic, and Dark Pulse. End of data."
"Never heard of it; I guess it must be strong, by the sounds of its moves..."
"It\'s a good pokemon;" Gary spoke, his brows raising. "Very good. Fighting Steel, actually. Only thing you need to worry about with him is Fire, Fighting, and Ground moves. Nothing else really hits those guys. I guess you\'re really sure about changing your team up, hmm? But now that Slaughter\'s gone, who will you replace this time?..."
Angel thought a moment. If this pokemon was Fighting Steel with psychic and dark moves, there was only two spots she could remove - Moonlight, and Amelio. While she couldn\'t truly stop using Moonlight, Amelio could very well pass as a human with the right cloak - and then he could still watch over her and fight - it just meant being extremely careful with him. Best of all worlds, right?
"Easy - Amelio. He is bipedal and tall; he can be \'human\' half the time. He just won\'t have a pokeball. Hear that Amelio? I free you!"
