Chapter 8- confrontations and revelations

After we ate, we mingled and talked, yui, mina and miaka are talking about girly stuff much to amiboshi’s annoyance who was actually getting warm with mina, and he reluctantly joined their conversation, I was talking to tomo, tasuki, and suboshi, tama was half listening, still sulking, and it pisses me off, I wanted to talk to him but I don’t want to make a scene. I saw yui excuse herself to go to the bathroom, I automatically glanced at tama to find him not sitting there, and I narrowed my eyes and excused myself.

I saw tama waiting outside the girls bathroom, I slowly and soundlessly crept up on them and hid in the dark corner. Yui came out and heard her surprise voice,

“Tama what are you doing here?”

“What are you doing yui?” he spoke obviously angry at her. “What do you mean? And why are you angry?” she asked confusion etched in her voice. “Why am I angry? Are you stupid yui?”

“How am I stupid?” said yui matching his voice. “soi, is obsessed with him, and soi is tetsuya’s sister in case you forgot, if she finds out…….does he even know about your past” She cupped his shoulders, I felt my heart twinge. “Tama look at me,” she requested in a soft voice, ok now I really felt jealous, I was fisting my hands. “nakago knows about it, and he swore he won’t hurt me like tetsuya and he would protect me from him, aren’t you his friend? Do you think he will lie to me?” she questioned carefully, “I don’t know yui” he sighed, why that son of a bitch, I wanted to punch him right now.

“Come let’s go back inside,” she said but he caught her wrist and spun her around so that their faces are inches apart. “I still love you yui” he finally said his lips drawing closer to her, my heart is beating rapidly now and rage is consuming me, “tama, don’t do this, what about miaka?” he sighed heavily and let go of her, “I’m sorry I just want you to know, I love miaka but not the way I loved you, still love you, but you’re right I should just be happy for you.” Yui was looking at him sympathetically, “tama I still love you but not that way anymore, and you’ll always be very special to me,” she said. “its fine I just can’t believe it’s him that gets to hold you every night, and kiss you and……..does he know about us?” I felt so angry and couldn’t take it anymore I spoke.

“Yes I do,” yui gasped. Tama’s eyes widened. My eyes were narrowed at him, I can’t get mad at yui, she did stay true to her words that she won’t cheat on me in this complicated relationship that we have. “stay away from her” I said harshly, Tama looked at me with hatred and jealousy, before I knew it he punched me, and I was on the floor, blood trickling down my mouth, yui gasped loudly and was about to help me up but tamahome’s hands held out first. I smirked and took it.

“you hit like a girl,” he scoffed, “take care of her, nakago, if she even sheds one tear I swear I’ll kill you.” He held out his hand, I took it and nodded. “but tama….” I smiled at him and he smiled back my jealousy finally subsiding, I punched him he fell on the floor and yui just groaned and muttered ‘men’ and went inside. I helped tama up and we both laughed. “that’s for not telling me about you and yui” he understood and nodded.

“so that’s why you’ve been avoiding me, jealous are we?” he teased. I turned to him and muttered “yes” he was taken aback but soon smirked, “good” he was walking back to the room when I blurted out the question that I’ve been dying to ask since I heard tama tell yui he still loves her. “why did you let her go tama, back then?” he stopped and turned back at me.

“because I love her, and I want what’s best for her, and I know her career makes her happy and I don’t want to be selfish, I just want her to be happy, and then miaka and I happened, I’ve come to love her but not as much as I did for yui, but I don’t wanna hurt her so I stayed with her, I actually considered getting back with her, but after the thing with that bastard….”he fisted his hands and his lip line thinned. “I figured she doesn’t want to have one soon again, anyway she doesn’t love me anymore, she has you now, I know she’s still confused about what she’s feeling for you so be patient with her.” He said and smiled bitterly, but he soon spoke seriously again.

“do you love her?” he asked looking me in the eye intensely. “yes, I do” I finally admitted. “then take care of her and protect her, I swear if you do make her cry. I will take her away from you.” I was startled by his seriousness and truthfulness in his tone but quickly recovered. “I will, I’d rather die than fail her. and give her back to you” I said just as seriously. He smirked and we shook hands then we went inside without saying another word.

We said goodnight and everyone, was leaving. Before going into the car, tomo pulled ma and whisphered, “hey lover boy you’re gonna have a bachelor party tomorrow, ill text you the address.” I arched an eyebrow and he smiled clapped me in the back and kissed yui’s cheek, I growled at him but he just grinned more and waved goodbye. Amiboshi was saying goodbye to mina and was kissing her cheek when suboshi kicked the back of his knees he stammered and instead of her cheeks he kissed her lips instead. mina and amiboshi’s eyes widened, but they both gave in to the kiss, surprising amiboshi, and yui, after what seems like forever they broke apart and mina left.

I wolf whistled at them and suboshi clapped his twins back, “I’m proud of you brother.” Amiboshi just smiled serenely.

When we got into the car yui pushed me aside and dragged amiboshi to her embrace ruffling his hair, and sniffed. “oh ami you’re all grown up now, you have a girlfriend.” Suboshi and amiboshi laughed, even yui giggled at how silly she was, “don’t worry neesan you and mom are still number 1” “oh you……” she ruffled his hair and released him but suboshi replaced her, earning another, mini brawl between twins. Yui just laughed and I just stared at her, kami how lucky is it that I get to marry her, she’s so beautiful, sorry tama you have to kill me first before you can get her back, actually even if I die I won’t let her go, I decided. She turned around and saw me staring at her, but she didn’t avert her gaze she just stared at me back, smiling.

Noticing that nobody seems to want to break this staring contest, her cell phone suddenly rang and we both jumped.

“moshi-moshi?” she answered. “now? Ok I’m a few blocks away. Ja ne”

“who is it?” suboshi asked, stopping their mini wrestling match,

“nuriko, I have a commercial shoot tonight, since I already postponed it last week I have to go,” she looked at me apologetically, and I cupped her face. “Its fine yui,” I sighed, “I know it’s your work.” She lit up and she told ash where to drop her, after 5 minutes the car stopped, the twins got out, helping her get off, I followed after her,

“oneesan what time will you be home?” amiboshi asked sternly. “I’m not sure, don’t worry brothers nuriko will take me home.” At the mention of the name a woman with purple hair came out, and suddenly had hearts on her eyes. Suboshi’s eyes widened and abruptly kissed yui’s cheek and said goodnight and went inside the car. I was puzzled, “well bye, take care oneesan and call us if you need help.” Amiboshi also kissed her cheek and went inside.

“you better go inside too she’s kinda um…..extreme around hot boys,” I quirked my eyebrows and smirked I lowered my head into her ear and whispered huskily “you think I’m hot yui-sama?” she blushed “why are you blushing?” she stuck out her tongue at me playfully, I chuckled and went inside the car but she stopped me and pressed her lips onto mine for a chaste kiss. I blinked a few times dumbstruck, was that real? I asked myself. Before I could react she whispered in my ear huskily “now who’s blushing nakago-sama” I felt my cheeks grew hot and I guess I’ am indeed blushing she winked at me and went off before I could stop her, “I’ll get you for that one hime” I smiled naughtily, I went inside the car and we drove off home.

“so what’s the deal with her manager that nuriko? I thought you love the ladies subo why did you run away from her?” I asked. Suboshi cringed, “because aniki, that is not a lady” I smiled when he called me older brother, “what do you mean? but yui said ‘she’ when I asked her who nuriko is” the two shook their heads. “Look aniki, she…..i mean he had a sex change operation.” Amiboshi explained Suboshi cringed again, even ash gasped. “What?” I said shocked. “look nuriko is nice and all but he really gets boy crazy and clings to us, especially when drunk, so better stay away from him on your wedding.” I nodded vigorously.

After a moments silence, “um do you think your sister likes me?” I blurted out while staring out the window. I saw the two looked at each other with smiles from the corner of my eye.

“yes” they both said, “how can you be sure, I mean she didn’t say anything”

“oneesan used to look at tama like the way she looks at you now,” amiboshi said. “I thought nobody knew about her and tama?” I asked.

“well we love oneesan so much and we wanted to make sure she’s always safe so we followed her one time and saw her kissing him under a tree in the park,” suboshi said. I rolled my eyes, really tama under a tree how romantic, I thought sarcastically.

“look you just need to be patient with oneesan aniki, don’t give up on her if you really do love her, she may not admit it yet be we know she likes you so just wait.” I nodded at amiboshi’s explanation. They both smiled and I smiled back.

We arrived at their house and the twins got out, they waved at me but before they went inside, I called amiboshi and he turned back with a questioning look.

“amibo, take care of my cousin, alright?” I said firmly. He was startled but smiled at me. “of course” he said then they went inside.
