Chapter 7: Azure Dragon

"So I think does those three of them can deal with the job," mused aloud Raven.
"When I watched them out of hiding when their protected Kanna during the journey their seemed a very resourceful pair. Maybe as relaying on use of spirits like me didn’t look too experienced but this pink-haired mage looked for someone who fought many battles. Certainly they can deal with that job, "she laughed and left the room.
"Probably," he looked at him lying beside the platinum key. "Otherwise I can’t give that mage key and keep the promise made by my father."
Again, it took several days during which Natsu with the rest of his team were able to thwart the plan to revive Deliora and unravel the mystery of the curse with Erza help, which was imposed on the inhabitants of the island. Through the intervention of the Scarlet their refuse taking jewels only to accept a key that naturally ends in blonde mage possession.
'Just as I suspected. It's not a silver but platinum key,' she sighed, realizing that she held key to summon a powerful stellar spirit perhaps even more powerful than Aquarius. She pulled out of her pocket a gold key.
'What do I do? Keep the platinum key and return the golden key or vice versa? And if he said I won’t be able to create a contract with such powerful spirit?' she slightly constricted platinum key.
"There you are," she heard Natsu voice behind her. She quickly hid the two keys postponing the decision until later.
"Time to go," he grabbed her hand and pulled her toward the pirate ship waiting at the beach. When everyone got on Erza ordered the captain to sail.
When all four of them returned to their guild saw a terrible sight. The entire building guild was impaled with big iron spikes. Lucy at the evening in her apartment trying not to worry about the damage done to guild headquarters wondered what to do with two keys, which she had. Without thinking long decided that she would use the golden key and platinum at the earliest chance will give Raven. Then when she was visited by her friends, she called the sagittarius and made a contract with him.
The next few days passed on attack of the enemy guild, kidnapping her and rescue her by Natsu and after a long battle ended with destruction of both buildings and Phantom Lord guild defeat. No worrying with it members of the guild immediately started reconstruction of the building. Then Lucy decided to return to home to see her father.
"You made the right decision. If you were a little longer in this guild I would use his influence to destroy it," began Jude.
"In the end you grown up Lucy and learned an important lesson how destructive can be your actions," continued her father. "I called you because I chose a husband for you. It wasn’t easy, because there were two candidates."
"But it turned out that heir to the family Raven have not yet been chosen, so it will be a prince Sawalu," he said without even looking at his daughter. "I’m sure you remember how he expressed an interest in you?"
"Yes he expressed it," she replied when recalling the memory of the appearance of the prince flashed through her mind.
"The marriage of Julenelles our railroad company will be able to expand to the south," he was staring out the window. "It is important for our family. And you also have to give a birth to a son so our family name was continued."
He went silent for a moment as if he remembered something.

"It does not differ at all from escaping." Jude turned to her finally. "Therefore, this time I’ll clearly express my feelings. I'm leaving this house."
"Lucy?"
"I’ll walk my own path and you don’t have the right to decide who I’ll marry," she began to rip off her outer layer of the dress. "And don’t you dare lay a finger again on Fairy Tail."
"The next time you try I ...," she screamed, "no the whole guild will treat you as an enemy. If you haven’t intervened we could have to talk normally, however you have brought a lot of suffering to my friends."
"I don’t want wealth or beautiful dress only place where I will be respected for who I am," continued Lucy said as fairy tail is such a place. Also she mentioned that taking into account memories, which she had concerning her mother it’s hard for her to leave this house.
"I know that if my mother was still alive she would say that's I should followed my own heart," on the outside conversation was spying few people from the service.
"Goodbye, father," she said and left the room. Outside the room she met Bero.
"I had to mention young lady that our guest is waiting for her in the garden," he said.
"Guest?" She then recalled her father said something about someone who had come to meet her. "Who is it?"
"He introduced himself as Arik Raven and asked that when you find spare moment come down to the garden. He should be somewhere in it."
A little concerned about change dress and went to the garden. She didn’t have long to look for him because he was almost in front of the door leading to the garden today dressed in a black suit and on his shoulder sat cat with two tails.
"Hello Miss Hearfilia," he bowed and kissed her hand which made her feel a little uncomfortable.
"Hello," she said. "I don’t know that your family is such widely known."
"Ahh again, the family antiques," he laughed. "What do I do, that I was born in a family of ancient traditions and the quite wealthy? Yet do not choose our parents?"
"Yes," she said a bit surprised by his openness. She knew many well known families heirs but he behaved quite differently. He was not as stiff, formal and bloated because of who he is.
"So what matter brings you today?" She thought. It couldn’t concern key, which she gained at that cursed island. Involuntarily she looked at stellar spirit that seemed to be staring intently at her.
"The promise that fill in the name of my father. Probably you would understand that as the current co-head of the family he has a lot on his head and can’t travel freely. So I decided that as one of his sons I will have the least trouble to fulfill his duty," he said as they walked slowly down the alley.
"What promise? And why you?" She asked curiously.
"Because I'm a stellar spirits mage like you or your mother. Before she decided to resign from been mage, as you've probably heard she handed the keys for safekeeping to trusted people," said pulling from his pocket a bunch of keys.
"Yes Bero mentioned about it. So your father received key that he suppose to give to me?" She looked at a bunch of keys he held, and noted that they were all platinum. And not just two but all four. Could it be since last meeting he gained two more platinum keys? Moment not all was platinum. One was only silver so only one powerful spirit has joined the group of spirits, which he can summon.
"In short yes," he said and contrary to her expectations not reached into another pocket but he began to take off one of the keys with his keychain held.
"But it is ...," she started on what he paused her.
"Yes, I know that platinum keys but one of them isn’t mine," replied and reach out to her his hand with one key. "This is the key that by your mother will belongs now to you."
"But those keys? You warned me about consequences if a weak mage use them," she a little concerned took the key.
"Of course. But as long as you don’t try you will not know if you are able to control Nezumiro," he said cheerfully as he hid his keys.
"Nezumiro?"
"Nyann, Nyannn, Nnyan," snorted stellar spirit on what he caressed her and calmed down a bit.
"The key to the gates of the rat Nezumiro the Artificer. This is what you hold in your hand because since you know that I'm interested in this type of key how could I not check without making contract which key it’s. Anyway it was enough to ask another spirit from this zodiac showing this key to identify who will be summoned. Speaking already about spirit did you by chance not get any that might be interest me key?" he smoothly changed the subject.
"It is possible but I don’t have it with me," she said slightly worried. It seemed as if he knew about the key that she brought from the island. "Why is your spirit reacted like something displeases her when you mentioned the name of the spirit?"
"Well. Maybe next time we meet I will have the opportunity to assess whether if it’s something I was looking for," he said a slightly disappointed. "A Nyana just hates all rats. Whether there are stellar spirits or mere animals. I advise you not to try to inquire," he bowed kissing her hand on farewell and departed.
"Strange. Next meeting?" She looked at the key in his hand. Leaving the decision on whether to summon a new friend for later went to the grave of his mother. There she met four friends who were happy to found her. When they were coming back for a comment that the city is very large she blithely replied that it was only a garden and her family owns the whole area, which extends up to the nearby mountains.
"Huh. Something’s wrong?" she asked in surprise.
"Your Excellency," saluted Natsu.
"It is an honor to know someone so humble," Gray echoed also saluting.
"Natsu and Gray failed! Captain Erza your thoughts!" Happy looked with a hope for the red-haired mage.
"The sky… is blue ...," Scarlet said standing up straight.
"We have lost a captain," cracked blue cat.
Having three friends Lucy overcome shock all five went on the way back. During the trip to the nearby train station on the road stopped them two people.
"Hoho long time no see," started Akira.
"It's you again?" Natsu recognized him as the attacker from before many days.
"Oh," commented Lucy seeing shorter man eyes blazed. That thing remembered her something.
"You know them?" Erza said changing the current dress into one of her armor.
"Ice-Make: Rampage," said Ikari creating a great ice wall behind the four mages.
"Such a pity that today we don’t have time to play with you," laughed the Inferno. "But don’t worry because we will soon meet this or other way.
"In other words, he just wanted to leave a message that Inferno is still alive," Akira laughed and started to turn around intending to walk away from them.
"Not so fast," cried Gray. "Ice-Make: Lance."
"Ohh some ice mage," Ikari laughed when Inferno with a simple hand gesture blocked all lances without taking almost any damage.
"Interesting. I starting to enjoy it. But it’s time for us Inferno," he said to his companion.
"True. Ice-Make: Rampart," short mage created a second ice wall, this time between the two and the rest. In which just stopped weapon that Erza attacked with and one of Natsu fire attacks. "Till the next meeting dragon slayer. I'll be waiting."
When the fast walked around ice will anywhere near was any trace of the two mages.
"Who were those two?" asked Gray and Erza. On that Dragneel with Happy told how their met those two last time.
"But there was something wrong with them," said Hearfilia.
"What do you mean?" asked pink-haired mag.
"They became stronger and I think now the shorter mage calling himself Inferno but... it's impossible. After I saw how he dies there," shook her head.
"Maybe this girl with enormous breasts knows what it means," throw the idea blue cat.
"Huh?" once again asked ice mage and Titania.
"Ahh. Happy just again speaks things," fire mage grabbed his friend and in comical way stopped him from saying more.
"Hehe. I see that you’re more considerate than your friend Natsu," Lucy laughed. However in her mind she agreed with little exceed. Kanna would know something about this, moreover seemed to know a lot about this strange dragon slayer. The rest of way to station they spend on talking about recent events. After returning to the guild they were surprised to see almost all present even Makarov.
"Good you’re already back," Mirajane talked to them.
"Why?" Dragneel was surprised.
"The Master has gathered all mages who wasn’t on any job in order to select a few of us to choose to go to Hargeon," she said wiping the glass.
"What will happen there?" asked Lucy.
"There will be celebrations of opening in Fiore Azure Dragon guild building. Apparently their finally decided where to establish it in our country," said white-haired mage.
"Lucy," he called her to himself guild master.
"Yes?" asked a little surprised what he wanted from her.
"According to what is written here their want us to send Lucy Hear...," he interrupted when she firmly asked not to read her name.
"Ehh," he sighed and gave her a slap. "So getting back to case. Guild Azure Dragon invites group of seven mages from Fairy Tail with Lucy in this group," he finished adding then that afterwards is described less important or simply boring details.
"So now we have to choose the other six to accompany you," he said allowing her to return to the bar.
Natsu and Happy volunteered almost immediately, claiming that since their always doing jobs together won’t let her go without them. Erza then insisted that she and Gray also should go, which caused both mages began to argue until the guild master interrupted it. After a long moment of thinking he decided that the other people who will be going would be Elfman and Cana. They all left the next morning coming for displeasure of Natsu to travel by train.
"Interesting design," Gray said when they stopped on the jetty. A long blue bridge was leading to the building, which stood on countless piles slightly above sea level.
"As I suspected its ice," he said proudly stood up after squatting to touch the surface, which of course was very cold, and after a touching for a moment was getting wet.
"Hah, it's really ice," said Natsu after using a little bit of his magic to melt piece of the bridge.
"I think I foolishly try to melt the ice? At least closer to the building would be unwise to fall into the water," they heard a woman's voice and turned to see Kanna this time in her true form. She was dressed in a long straight-cut dress with sleeves and wide cut in the middle creating cleavage. On the neck shimmered in the sun a little small necklaces with blue crystal in the center and she held in her hands a small purse. On the inner side of the left breast was visible a piece blue color tattoo resembling a dragon.
"Guild members who prepared this bridge will not be pleased when they find out that someone causes them extra work in repairing melted fragments, right?" she saying when looked with a slightly cool look at the fire mage.
"Ohhh," sighed briefly both Gray and Elfman after they had recovered from the shock caused by her appearance and Erza and Cana only slightly cleared their throats. Seeing the reaction of the four people she didn’t know just smiled slightly.
"I'll leave you for now. See you all later," she bowed slightly and slowly began to walk away heading toward the end of the bridge on the jetty.
"Who was that?" Four pairs of eyes with curiosity in them turned toward Dragneel, Hearfilia and Happy.
"You were not surprised by her appearance," said Erza, "so I assume that you know her already?"
"We met her during one of the jobs," said Lucy trying to sound natural but also in order to not provoke Scarlet by delaying to answer her question.
"She has a very strange taste eating usually only pieces of ice," said Happy when he recalled the ice in the shape of a fish, which nevertheless he took for something edible.
"Can even put a fight," Natsu laughed lightly. "I think if she was fighting with Gray I could put on her winning."
"What did you say?" Fullbuster almost jump toward Dragneel when they both felt Erza gaze and stopped. "Why such confidence that she would beat me?"
"Haha. It's simple," said someone and when they looked there saw a very tall, extremely muscular man with black skin and pointed ears, which stopped beside them. Next to him were two young women giggling slightly. Slowly as he wasn’t hurrying ran his hand through his short white hair and looking at the ice mage with his red eyes he added. "She just needs to get undressed and you already lost."
"Haha. Samson it was so funny," laughed one of the associates of a giant man and the other added. "Of course she would beat you that way, right?"
"It's obvious. I don’t mix real and bedroom battles," he laughed involuntarily to reveal his clearly developed canines.
Gray mumbled something under his breath started to punch laughing from him giant but other man easily grabbed his hand and began to squeeze so hard that Fullbuster felt pain.
"Auuu," this time the giant groaned stepping back and letting off Gray clutching one of his ears starting to massage it. From behind him came a tall blue-haired man, which almost immediately recognized Lucy.
"They are our guests Stoff," Arik said quietly, "if you want to beat one of them wait till the end of the official part of the opening."
"Hello Miss Hearfilia," he said, looking at her. "If you don’t mind I would like to briefly talk in private."
Lucy blushed slightly at the sound of her name. At the same time Samson mumbled something under his breath, he pretended that nothing had happened and walked away with his companion holding hands on their waists. When he was walking away on his back they could see white symbol in the shape of a dragon, however all six turn their attention on the blue-haired man.
"Who are you?" Erza asked suspiciously.
"Ahh. My friend distracted me a bit," came over and taking Scarlet hand kissed it. Then he stared at her slightly surprised until he introduced himself. "Arik Raven," then walked a bit and does the same with Cana kissing her hand. With Gray, Elfman and Natsu only exchanged hugs that were camouflaged attempt despite the light atmosphere, which will squeezes tighter other one hand.
"I assure you, it's nothing you should worry. Call it business matters that we need to finish," he stopped looking in the direction of a blonde mage waiting for her reaction.
"It’s okay. Nothing will happen to me. I'll join you in a moment," she said smiling. For a moment her friends thought before with some concerns agreed to let her go.
"I'll try to return her to you as soon as possible," he said and their slowly walked towards the mainland. The rest of the continued slowly moved in the opposite direction.
"It will be an interesting afternoon," said Gray. "All peculiar individuals."
"But at least it seems that they know how to be a Men," said Elfman.
"I want to fight with the Stoff," with a twinkle in his eye said Natsu. "He seems to be strong."
"I hope they have a lot of alcohol," she said casually Cana.
"And a lot of fish," Happiego eyes shone with hope.
"Auuu," small exceed almost immediately flew into the air and began to rub his tail.
"What happened?" pink-haired mage looked around but no one was close.
"Kitty?" Happy looked when it seemed to him that between approaching from the mainland guests disappeared two-tailed crimson-furred cat.
"Let's go," said firmly Erza and the rest without opposition followed her to the building being situated at the end of the platform.
"I hope that I not too suddenly snatched you from your friends," he began to talk when they left the bridge.
"No but I would prefer to go back to them quickly," said Lucy.
"So I can see the key?" he asked gently and then it took the key, which she pulled out of the bag and handed it to him. He watched it slowly without hurry if he wanted to be sure something. Finally he sighed slightly disappointed; however even then he immediately smiled and made a careless gesture that cause it disappear from his hand.
"I’m grateful young lady for that key. Maybe it's not the key, which I expected but it also means that only one key wasn’t found," he said as he looked at something behind her.
"Maybe we can stop to use so formal tone," she said a little embarrassed.
"Well, if you prefer," he crouched and after a moment on his shoulder jumped crimson-furred cat.
"So that's it all?" she asked involuntarily glancing at celestial spirit that sat on his shoulder. It was another time when she meets him and spirit was near him.
"Of course. You can go back to your friends," bowed for farewell and stood there when she head back to the bridge and headed in the direction where followed her friends.
"So you still not get what you wanted?" Yagyu hugged her with her arms standing behind.
"It doesn’t matter. I found some things to do before I start searching for the last hidden key. And who knows, maybe I'll find answers to two puzzles at the same time," he said mysteriously and she furrowed her eyebrows slightly.
"You can stop hiding. I can feel you from here," said Kanna toward someone behind her and after a while from behind one of the boxes slowly emerged the blue-haired dressed woman in a long navy blue coat.
"How is it possible that she was sensed?" asked the water mage as she approached them.
"Huh Her?" Yagyu slightly raised eyebrow.
"I thought that I hid well," she said.
"But my sense is difficult to deceive," the golden-haired mage turned and looked the other mage. "So would you be kind enough to explain what are you planned to do?"
"I," said Juvia wondering when she looked in the direction of the bridge. "I wanted to go there."
"A funny person," Raven interrupted their conversation. "She don’t look dangerously and the party is open to everyone," looked at the water mage, "you should not be such a creep. Someone would have thought that you were following someone."
"Oh no not followed anyone," Lockser shook her head; "I just wanted to see the party."
"We could have question her more why she so suspicious been wandering here," said Kanna a bit disappointed when Juvia walked briskly traversing the bridge. A moment later approached them a young man with many metallic decorations on his face and body.
"She has always been such a strange person," said Redfox.
"Ohh Gajeel," Arik extended his hand in greeting.
"You're talking about the woman? You know her?" asked Kanna.
"She was with me in the guild before it was disbanded. Probably you heard about the recent guilds war," iron dragon slayer glanced at the golden-haired mage.
"Something reached my ears. I don’t follow events in the country too closely. You know that I need see the bigger picture than just one country," casually said Raven.
"You look as always charming," suddenly said iron mage looking at Yagyu.
"Almost successful compliment. Better find yourself someone," she laughed more.
"Gi Hi Hi Hi. Maybe, who knows. See you later," he said before he walked toward a bridge.
"It seems that everything is going according to his plan," said Raven suddenly after becoming thoughtful for a moment on something.
"You mean the gathering from whole countryside local dragon slayers?" looked at the sky sinking in his embrace.
"I hope everything will go according to the plan. Otherwise this city will suffer," he noted cryptically, "let's go. From what I've heard it's probably my father about to make his speech to open a banquet. You know how he can be unhappy to see missing any of his beloved sons. "
"Tiaaa something about it mentioned to me of the brides of one of your brothers once in total casual tone," she smiled and took hold of his arm both of them walked on the bridge. Slowly strolled towards the building at the end of bridge more people with among them woman with dark purple hair and brown eyes.
