Chapter Eighty:
The Following Chapter Takes place right where the previous chapter left off.
Later that day, Brad, Scarlet, Jewlea, Ashley, and Josh are at Rosaira's place, viewing at everyone who was attacked by Crimson, wondering who attacked Xyaqom, Rosaira, Steqos, and Ryan. They all came here after Brad, and his girlfriends sensed everyone's energy drop.
Josh: I don't get it, who would attack these guys?
Brad: I don't know. (Checks Xyaqom's pulse) Good God, Xyaqom doesn't have a pulse. (Checks everyone else's pulse) Neither does anyone else.
Jewela: They can't be dead. They just can't.
Scarlet: Klno Nach can't be dead! He just can't!
Ashley: (Worried) I don't like the looks of this.
Brad: Wait, I have an idea.
Jewela: And what's that?
Brad: Scarlet, you're obviously more powerful than us right now. Do you think you can turn into your true form?
Scarlet: (Confused) Can I ask why?
Brad: I have this feeling that if you turn into your true form, you'll be able to use your true power. Meaning, you might be able to sense a pulse from them where we can't. I refuse to accept that Xyaqom and the others are dead. They have to be still alive.
Scarlet: Makes senses. Okay, I'll do it.
Scarlet then powers up to her Xyith form, which was actually her true form. In her Xyith form, her hair stood up and became spiky, but her bang was still down, including the bottom of her hair. She had black dragon horns coming out of her head, the irises in her eyes were now dragon skinny. Unlike male Xyiths, her arms, legs, and feet didn't become dragon scales. They were still bare. Her Dragon wings were black with red streaks coming out of her back, fang teeth, and finally, her nails were sharp as claws. When Josh saw Scarlet in her Xyith form, he began to drool.
Brad: Josh, I hope for your sake, you're not thinking any pervy thoughts on my girlfriend, are you?
Josh: (Snaps out of his trance and wipes his mouth) No, of course not.
Brad: You better. (Turns to Scarlet) Okay, Scarlet, see if you can sense their pulse or energy.
Scarlet: Right.
Scarlet then laid her hands on Xyaqom and Rosaira and began to focus. After a few minutes, she snapped out of her trance and looked surprised.
Brad: Did you find anything?
Scarlet: Yes, I managed to find some sort of life inside Rosaira and Klno Nach. Their life energy is very faint. Almost like it's been... sealed.
Brad: Sealed?
Scarlet: Yes, whoever or whatever attacked them seemed to have put them into a deep asleep, slowing their heart to a crawl.
Ashley: But why would they do this?
Brad: I don't know. Whoever attacked them, was obviously trying to kill them. This person may come back for them when he/she finds out that they are still alive. Girls, I need you to stay and look after them. If this person comes here, call me.
Jewela: Will do.
Josh: What about me?
Brad: Just stay out of trouble. (Brad then starts walking out)
Josh: Hey Brad, wait up, (Runs after Brad) there is something I need to tell you.
Brad: What is it?
Josh: Well, after seeing how things have been going after I got out of prison, and seeing that you're starting a family, I've thought that maybe it's time for me to start a family myself.
Brad: You, starting a family?
Josh: I know, it's crazy coming out of me, but after being in prison for a few months, and seeing how your life is, it put me straight.
Brad: Well, to do that, you're going to have to find a woman to trust you.
Josh: I know, I've burned a lot of bridges over the years. I was a total dirtbag, and I've done things that I highly regret. Also, Brad, there is something that I want to tell you.
Brad: What is it.
Josh: See, the thing is...
Before Josh could tell Brad what he was about to say, Crimson came out of nowhere and kicked Josh in the face, sending him flying through the wall in the mansion, knocking him out cold.
Brad: JOSH!
Crimson: You have no idea how long I've been waiting to do that.
Brad: Who are you?!
Crimson: The name's Darkness, Crimson Darkness.
Brad: What do you want?! And why did you attack Josh?
Crimson: Let's see, he and I have unfinished business along with his two stooges, Howard and Ethan.
Brad: Howard and Ethan? What about them?
Crimson: So dickhead never told you about them?
Brad: You mean, Josh? No.
Crimson: Then you're useless to me.
Crimson then punches Brad in his stomach, sending him flying through the mansion. Just then, the girls came to the scene.
Jewela: Brad, what happened?!
Ashley: We heard a crash and - (Sees Crimson) WHAT THE HELL?!
Crimson looked at Ashley with a soft and sad face, but he shakes it off.
Crimson: See yah later wally gators! Oh, and Scarlet, you'll discover you'll have more than one sibling (Teleported away and hide his energy)
Brad: (Gets out of the rebel) Where did he go?!
Scarlet: He teleported somewhere, and said something that I have more than just one sibling.
Ashley: More than one?
Jewlea: As in two?
Scarlet: That's what he said, but the only sibling that I do know is Xyaqom.
Brad: And that guy said his name is Crimson Darkness.
Jewlea: Wait, I think I've heard about him.
Brad: (Turns to Jewlea) You have?
Jewlea: Only by rumors. I've heard that he's the ultimate hybrid and that he saw sells from all races from the universe.
Scarlet: Wow, he sounds like he's powerful.
Jewlea: He must be. I also have a feeling that he's the main reason why Xyaqom and the others are at death's door.
Brad: Well, if he is, he needs to be stopped. Stay here, and keep Josh safe. I'm going to try to look for this Crimson guy.
Crimson: (Appears in front of Brad) No need, I'm already here. (Brad tries to catch Crimson, only for Crimson to step out of the way) Catch me if you can, Brad!
Crimson flies off, with Brad in hot pursuit. Crimson and Brad fly all over the city, making sharp turns around the buildings of the city. Brad couldn't lose Crimson. He couldn't afford to lose him. Crimson had a lot to answer for.
Crimson: I'm impressed that you can keep up with me, "Bradster."
Hearing the word Bradster shocks Brad. It catches him off guard as he was unable to stop himself from crash landing at a nearby building, he crashes lands through a window in a building.
Crimson: (Floated where Brad crashed at and smiles) You need to keep your eye on the road, but instead, you should hit the break of your landing bro. (laugh crazy and teleported away)
Brad: (Gets back on his feet) Don't call me bro! We're not bros!
Crimson: (Thinking) Time for some mind games. Hehehe.
Crimson then smiles with a wide grin. Brad rushed in and tried to punch Crimson, only for Crimson to catch both his fists. Then he tossed Brad out the window.
Crimson: How about we take it outside for some fresh air! (Laughs crazy)
Crimson then rushes in and punches Brad in the gut, but Brad manages to catch Crimson fist on time and throws him into a nearby forest but teleported while in invisible kicked Brad to the forest.
Brad get up and try to sense him but nothing, as he doesn't know, Crimson is blocking his energy.
Brad: Dammit, this guy is good. Now I know why Xyaqom had problems with him.
Crimson: (Voice echoes the area on the forest just so Brad can hear but can't see nor scents him still) Bingo! Even Kyle, AKA, Xyaqom sure is tough with his life of with Solaris and Leena, even how you were enduring the pain of losing two of a kind.
Brad: Why are you doing this? Why are you here?!
Crimson: Let's just say I have some unfinished business here.
Brad: Unfinished business? What do you mean by that?!
Crimson: All will be revealed in good time. But for now, I need to get going. This was fun while it lasted, but I need to get ready for the party?
Brad: (Confused) Party?!
Crimson: Oops, (Covers his mouth and smiles) did I say that out loud? Sorry, you weren't supposed to hear that. Or maybe you were. Either way, there is going to be a party soon, and you're invited. But right now, I need to get everything ready. I need to know the locations which guests to invite, that sort of stuff. But for now, I'll catch you later. (Crimson laughs crazy and flies off)
Brad: What kind of party was he talking about? And why do I have a bad feeling about this party?
At Vincent College, Shelley is seen exiting the college, while carrying sheets of paper. Those sheets of paper all had reports of students that have been misbehaving.
?: Do you need help with those?
Shelley: Huh? (Turn around and sees Crimson right behind her) WHAT THE HELL?!
Crimson: Ah Shelley, you've grown to be a beautiful young woman, a young woman for a special reunion party.
Shelley: Wait. What?!
Crimson grabs Shelley while she screams, but teleported away from the location. Next thing Shelley knows, both her and Crimson are inside an abandoned warehouse.
Shelley: What the hell?! Where are we? What are we doing here?! And who are you! (Crimson karate chopped her neck to she falls unconscious)
Later, Shelley wakes up and sees that she is tied up to a chair.
Shelley: What the hell?! What's going on?!
Crimson's voice: Shelley Livings, thank you for being a special person in this reunion party.
Shelley: Reunion party?!
Crimson's voice: Oh yes, and let's wait for four people to come. Brad will come too. You all going to meet an old friend, someone that you betrayed.
Shelley: What the hell are you talking about?
Crimson's voice: All will be revealed soon, Livings. But right now, I need to get the other guests. So sit tight. See ya! (Laughs like crazy)
Later that same day, Howard, who is now twenty years old, was a sanitation worker. His job was to ride on the back of the garbage truck, grab the garbage, throw it in the truck, and get back on the truck, rinse and repeat. Today was no other day. He was riding on the back of the truck holding on the railing while the driver was driving the garbage truck. Soon, they came to a house that had loads of garbage bags outside the house.
Truck Driver: Okay, Howard, you know what to do.
Howard: Right.
Howard gets off the truck to collect the garbage bags.
?: Taking out the trash, huh? Now that's ironic coming from you.
Howard: Huh? (He turns to see crimson as his hands get into his face, then everything went dark) HEY! WHAT ARE YOU DOING?!
Truck Driver: Hey Howard, what's going on?! (Looks at his side window and sees Crimson shoving Howard) THE FUCK?! (Gets out of the truck) WHAT THE FUCK ARE YOU DOING TO HOWARD?!
Crimson's eyes glow as he looks at the truck driver, the truck driver's eyes then went dull.
Crimson: Forget what happened here and do your job. The only thing you remember is that Howard is doing something with an old friend.
The truck driver nodded and went back, taking out the trash, then Crimson looks at Howard then smile as he teleported away. Crimson and Howard appear at the abandoned warehouse, with Shelley still tied up.
Howard: Oh, God! Where are we?
Crimson's voice: A reunion party, I'm so glad you came, and now two left and you and the other two, we're going to have some fun. (Laughs like crazy)
Howard: (Turns to Shelley) Shelley, is that you?
Shelley: Howard?
Howard: What's going on here?! What'd he mean by party and guesses?!
Shelley: How the hell should I know, idiot?! I got kidnapped by this freak too. I'm just as confused as you are!
Crimson's Voice: So cold, people start to think you used to be how they liked you, a lady, nice, caring, and helpful, not to mention a marvelous young lady. And even one person you think who did it, but now your the complete opposite person from before, and you seem to enjoy being heartless.
Shelley: What the hell are you talking about?!
Howard: Here, let me untie you.
Howard runs up to Shelley to untie her, but when he got close to her, Howard suddenly gets a burst of electricity at him, making him fly back away from Shelley.
Shelley: Howard!
Howard: Ow! What the hell was that?!
Crimson: (Walk out of the shadow frighten Howard) Uh-uh-uh (wiggle his finger) we don't need that. (Crimson then punches Howard to the ground, tied him up with a chain then lift him up) Why won't you take a seat? (Throw him to the chair) There we go. Now be a good boy and wait and be silent.
Howard: L-L-Look man, I-I don't know what are you, but you can't-
Crimson gives an annoyed and anger expression as he growls, so he punches Howard in the face hard enough to bleed and bruise, Crimson continues to assault Howard, and Shelley watches him in horror, watching Crimson beat Howard with pure hatred, no remorse, and with no regret.
Crimson: CAN'T! (Punches him) YOU! (Punches him) WAIT! (Punches him) AND! (Punches him) BE! (Punches him) SILENT?!
Howard now has some small bruises, and his lips were bleeding along with a black eye. He didn't say anything, but he did begin whimpering in fear, Crimson then gives a friendly smile.
Crimson: Good, now was that it was so hard? I'll be back! (Laugh crazy and teleported away)
Later that same day, we then go to a burger joint, where we see Ethan, who is now twenty years old, washing down the windows and tables. This was his job, the cleaner for the fast-food restaurant. After he finishes washing down the tables, he puts his cloth in the water bucket and heads towards the windows.
Ethan's Boss: Excuse me, Ethan.
Ethan: (Turns around to face his boss) Yes sir?
Ethan's Boss: I have a strange call from a guy, said that he's an old friend who knows you, and likes to meet you at the table.
Ethan: Which table?
Ethan's Boss: Table four, he wants to meet you there. (Ethan looks at Table four and sees a guy in a cloak and a hat) Also, he ordered a hamburger, fries, and a milkshake after he sat down. So I do think you should keep him waiting.
Ethan: Okay. (Walks to table four and sees the man in the cloak) Um... excuse me?
?: Are you Ethan Dawnswell?
Ethan: Yeah?
?: Good, good, sit down.
Ethan sits down but unnoticed to him a long red tail touch his neck by surprise, the cloaked stranger then grins.
Ethan: W-What the hell?! My body is frozen!
The stranger starts eating his burger and fries, and he shows his face, which is Crimson grinning.
Crimson: Feeling the chills, huh? (He turn to the people, and he glows as their eyes got dull) Go on to work, Ethan just went home.
They nodded, Crimson then looks at the frightened Ethan while he drinks his milkshake.
Crimson: So you're a busboy, huh? (Kept eating his food) Ha! If you are trying to make a clean getaway with Josh and Howard, making it all smooth, think again. (He finished his food and drinking more of his milkshake) You and your buddies always comet trash of filth, which I clean it up. (He finished with his drink) Boy, it has been too long since I last eat at an earth restaurant again, how I miss it.
He got up and glowed a red gas, which makes Ethan fall asleep, Crimson then tied him up then left the chain at the counter to the lady.
Crimson: Keep the change. If Ethan comes, he can use it to pay for the meal.
Crimson then teleported away from the burger joint and arrived at the warehouse with Ethan, then he puts Ethan at the chair next to Shelley, and Howard Crimson them slaps him awake.
Ethan: Ow!
Crimson took off the cloak and hat, which made Ethan now more scared than ever.
Crimson: (Grin wider) Wakey, wakey busboy! Naptime is over! (Laughs crazy)
Ethan: Who are you?! What do you want from me?
Crimson: The names Crimson Darkness dirtbag (smirk) you just got an invited by someone you, Howard, and Josh have the ruin of a person that you three are the bane of their existence. Say anything, and you'll have a brutal honesty like Howard over there.
He turns and is shocked to see Howard a little bruise up face.
Ethan: Howard...Shelley?!
Howard: E-Ethan... please... don't... say... anything.
Crimson: He's right Ethan, listen to your old friend, I think we'll have enough time to have fun before Brad come to see the big picture, so he and Shelly will see the crime you three have done! (Grin crazy and teleported away while laughing insane)
Back at Rosaira's place, Ashley and Jewela were tending to Josh's injuries, doing the best they could. However, because they had no medical training, they were nowhere near as good as Rosaira's skills.
Ashley: You know, after this whole Crimson Darkness thing is done, and after Rosaira and the others awake, perhaps I should ask Rosaira to give me some medical training.
Jewela: Yeah, I was thinking the same thing too.
?: That would come in handy, wouldn't it.
The girls quickly turn around and see Crimson Darkness right in front of them.
Ashley: Shit, it's Crimson.
Jewela: Ashley, get out of here! I'll take it...
Before Jewela could finish, Crimson stabbed Jewela in the neck with a syringe, which she quickly falls to the ground.
Crimson: Sorry, I don't want you to turn into your alter ego.
Ashley: Jewela! You, You monster!
Crimson: (Looks sad) Ashley, you've grown up so much over the years, you've grown up so pretty. I should've known that you were in love with me. I wasn't aware that you were the first girl to fell for me, unlike the others. I was such an idiot back then even to notice it. I'm sorry that I hurt you all those years ago. I'm sorry that I never let you confess your love to me.
Ashley: What the hell are you talking about?! (Glares at the alien hybrid) I've never been in love with you! I've never even met you before!
Crimson: (Chuckles) Of course, how foolish of me. You probably don't recognize me in this form. Can't say I blame you. Perhaps this will refresh your memory.
Next thing Ashley knows, a burst of light unleashes out of Crimson making her shield her eyes when the light died down, and when Ashley uncovered her eyes and became focused again, she was shocked by what she was seeing, and become very emotional. She felt like her heart got a sudden jolt of electricity.
Ashley: No way, (Tears began to pour down from her eyes) it can't be.
Two minutes later, Brad returns to Rosaira's house, checking up on the girls. Thankfully, Scarlet was there when Brad entered the mansion.
Scarlet: Oh, Brad, you're back. Thank goodness.
Brad: Hey Scarlet, glad that you're safe. Where are Ashley and Jewlea?
Scarlet: Last I checked, they took Josh to where Xyaqom and the others are and went to tend to his injuries.
Brad: I see. I hope Josh didn't get too hurt when Crimson kicked him.
Scarlet: They did say he was still breathing, so that's a good sign.
Brad and Scarlet enter the room where Ashley and Jewlea where tending to Josh and the others, only to get the shock of their lives.
Brad & Scarlet: WHAT THE HELL?!
What they were seeing was Jewela was lying on the ground unconscious and Crimson kissing Ashley while also injecting a syringe into Ashley's neck. Crimson pulled away from the kiss, seeing Ashley was now unconscious.
Brad: ASHLEY, NO!
Crimson: (Looks at Brad) Brad, you're early. (Picks up Ashley bride style) I was expecting you to be here a few minutes from now.
Brad: YOU BASTARD! WHAT DID YOU DO TO HER!
Crimson: (Gently puts Ashley on one of the free medical beds) Giving Ashley what she wanted the most. Something long overdue.
Brad: AND WHAT'S THAT?!
Crimson: Me.
Brad: (Becomes angry) YOU?! ASHLEY'S NOT IN LOVE WITH YOU! SHE DOESN'T EVEN KNOW YOU! SO LEAVE HER ALONE!
Brad then dashes towards Crimson and punches him in the face, making him fly out of the mansion. Brad then looks at the unconscious Ashley and Jewlea.
Brad: I'm sorry I wasn't there for you, girls. (Looks at Scarlet) Scarlet, look after the girls and the others, I'm going after Crimson.
Scarlet: Right. I'll let you know when he comes here.
Brad then runs after Crimson and jumps out of the hole that Crimson flew out of.
Brad: Dammit, where did he go!
Crimson: (Voice echoes the area outside the mansion, which only Brad can hear but can't see nor sense him) How rude of you. Ashley and I were having a special moment.
Brad: A SPECIAL MOMENT?! YOU MEAN TRYING TO POISON HER?! OR TAKING ADVANTAGE OF HER?!
Crimson: (Appears behind Brad) You don't even know the half of it.
Brad quickly turns around, only for Crimson to punch Brad in the face, making him fly through a nearby tree, then appeared in front as Brad got up but didn't know Crimson's tail connected to his neck by surprise.
Brad: (Brad becomes frozen) What the...
Crimson: Freeze tag! HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!
Crimson then punches Brad in the back, making Brad fly back a bit. Brad notices that he's able to move again, so he quickly shoots an energy blast at Crimson, which Crimson guards against the attack.
Crimson: (Unshileds himself) Ha! Is that all you got?
Brad: (Appears behind Crimson, now in his Xyith form) No.
Crimson: (Looks behind him) Huh?
Before Crimson had time to react, Brad kicks Crimson in the back, making him fly back a bit, next thing Crimson knows, Brad starts giving Crimson strong kicks to the chest, knocking the wind off of him. Next, Brad punches Crimson in the gut, then he punches and kicks Crimson one hundred times in under a second and lunches a powerful energy blast at point-blank range at him.
Then Brad suddenly felt a strong punch that exploded. He felt the impact on his stomach as he screams in pain while coughing up blood and send him flying at great speed to crash to the floor very hard. He holds his stomach in pain by grunting. He felt like a 400-pound truck ran into him. When the smoke cleared, he sees Crimson walking out of the smoke, too see that he has no injuries, no scratches, no bruises, no blood, no broken bones, absolutely no damages, which shocks Brad, knowing that not even his Xyith form could damage him.
Crimson: Man, I can't believe you fell for it! Thinking that a close-range attack would end it, and unleashed like oh I don't know... one hundred punches and kick all in under a second on me? That felt like a tickle.
Brad: (Thinking) Dammit, that was my strongest blast! And yet he doesn't even have a scratch. At this point, he's going to kill me.
Crimson: Kill you? No, Brad, no. (This shocks Brad) You're the guest of honor at the party that I'm putting together. Killing you would spoil everything.
Brad: (Shocked and his eyes widen) Did, did you just read my mind?!
Crimson: No, I can see the look on your eyes, boy, and I don't want to kill you. It's not what I'm planning. Also, if you want to get the piece of what the party is about, here's a riddle.
Brad: (Gets up but wobbles a bit while holding his bruised stomach) A riddle?! Why? I need to solve it!?
Crimson: So you can know why I'm doing this.
Brad: Alright, what's the riddle? (Takes out his phone and starts recording Crimson's riddle)
Crimson: Here's the first riddle, one cat who felt alone and treat, and a group of lowly dogs always picked on until there two people. One who felt like a brother and others felt like love to the cat's eye, they help and give him felt like a joy to the lonely cat.
Brad: And the second one?
Crimson: The two kinds of better than three musketeers, the duo have been close like a brother they both never have, even there heart fall for the two-person they waited when to confess.
Brad: And the third?
Crimson: A low life flea-bitten dog of trash who did horrible to a cat and the first love eye, such as his bite the cat's back without no one notice. Then the dog barks the cat to the female cat by a setup, which she turns the cute cat to a cruel, aggressive tiger as she sees the cat nothing then a scum, all thanks to the lowly dog who got away for this a long time. That's it for now. Think about the riddles really good, and when you figure them out, let me know. Until then, goodbye for now. (Flies off)
After hearing Crimson's riddles, he presses the stop button on his recorder on his phone. He was about to put his phone away until it began to ring. He checks the caller ID, which was Scarlet.
Brad: (Takes out his phone and answers) Hey Scarlet.
Scarlet: Brad?! Oh, thank God, I thought Crimson killed you.
Brad: No, he didn't. I thought he would, though. Why did you think he killed me?
Scarlet: Because shortly after you ran after Crimson, he came back and kidnapped Josh and Ashley.
Brad: (Becomes shocked) What?! When did this happen?!
Flashback:
Scarlet is watching over Josh and Ashley, who's still unconscious then suddenly, she felt a disconnection from making her body to move
Scarlet: What the? Why isn't my body ain't moving?! (Tries to move but can't)
?: Because of me! Surprise!
Crimson then appeared in front of Scarlet, who was invincible. It was also revealed that he had his tail touch her neck, which somehow paralyzed her.
Scarlet: Crimson Darkness?! But I thought-
Crimson: Oh, that was just a duplicate to keep your boyfriend distracted. I turned myself invisible, so you don't know how fast I was.
He walks in and grabs Ashley and Josh.
Crimson: I'll take these two with me, thank you very much. (Turn at Scarlet) Oh, and by the way, thank you so much for being here and healed Brad's broken heart, he needs it after what he lost for so long.
His tail un-touch her and teleported away.
End Of Flashback:
Scarlet: About two minutes ago. I would've called you sooner, but he somehow managed to paralyze me. I just regained my movements just now.
Brad: But that's impossible! I've been fighting Crimson this whole time! When did he have the time to come back for Josh and Ashley?!
Scarlet: He said that the Crimson you were fighting was a duplicate, used as a distraction. I tried to stop him, but he somehow paralyzed me by having his tail touch my neck.
Brad: Dammit! He can duplicate himself?! Okay, stay there, I'm on my way back! (Runs back to the mansion)
