Saving The Life of The One I Love

A/N: Last chapter!!! Sorry to leave you guys a cliffhanger in the previous one, but here we go!

Chapter 8: Saving The Life of The One I Love
Brock\'s POV
I stood there stunned. I was unable to take my eyes off her. She lay there on that hospital bed with an IV in one arm her beautiful eyes closed. Her breathing was labored and Nurse Joy already said she minot not last the night without a blood transfusion. She had arrived with blood gashing out owounwound in her leg. Only she knows what happened. Right now, Nurse Joy asked for blood samples from me, Ash, and Misty hoping one of us might have the chance to save her. I slowly reach out and touch her hand gently and kiss it. \"I wish it was me here,\" I whispered as tears slid down my cheeks. \"I\'d gladly swap places with you.\"
\"Brock.\"
\"Yeah?\"
Ash looked at me as he entered the room. \"The results are back,\" he said.
Normal POV
Nurse Joy sat down in her office as the three gathered inside. The three Pokemon were sitting in Kari\'s room waiting the results as well. \"Ash, you\'re not a match,\" she said sadly. \"Neither are you, Misty. That leaves Brock.\" She opened the envelope and studied the results. \"You\'re a match,\" she announced with wide eyes. \"I\'ll do whatever I can to help her,\" he said firmly as Misty looked at him and smiled. \"You go for it and bring ourend end back,\" she said. He nodded firmly as he was led in another room and the transfusion began.
Ash noticed his friend become pale later and he could tell he was going to pass out. Nurse Joy finished getting the blood and Brock slumped slightly. \"We\'ll move him to another room and put him on IV to regain his strength,\" she said seriously. Ash nodded and left. Nurse Joy put Brock to bed and put the IV in his hand before getting the needed blood to Kari. Charizard held Squirtle in his arms as they watched in wonder knowing their master was in good hands. Pikachu stood with them and watched as the blood went through the mermaid\'s veins and into her system. Pikachu jumped on the bed after the woman left and studied Kari carefully. He licked her cheek gently before retreating to Ash. Squirtle and Charizard walked to her and Squirtle curled up beside his master and soon fell asleep.

Two Weeks Later
\"I challenge you to a Pokemon Battle!\" the brown eyed girl shouted suddenly. A pair of aqua colored eyes narrowed at her as her opponent nodded in agreement. \"I accept your challenge,\" the girl said seriously as they stood on opposite ends of the meadow. \"Bulbasaur! Go!\" the girl shouted as the girl wthe the aqua eyes chuckled. \"Charizard, I choose you!\" she shouted as the mighty Dragon Fire Pokemon ran on the field. \"Go Kari!\" Brock shouted as her friends stood and watched grinning. \"Charizard, give that Bulbasaur a Flame Thrower attack!\" she shouted as the girl gasped knowing she was out of luck on the first match of her life. Ash watched as his best friend fought hard and won the battle. Every day in Kari\'s life was one. Her survival on the beach, the seven years locked in a house without friends, and then the accident that almost claimed two lives instead of one.
Kari wasn\'t one to give up easily. The last living mermaid on the planet was now a Pokemon Master in human form and her friends knew her true secret. She was strong and survived what many thought would be the end. But her determination and love for Pokemon and Brock got her through everything. Although seeing Team Rocket basically every day brought pain through her heart, she never thought twice of fighting them.
Even her friends knew that...truean fan friends that never cared if she wasn\'t totally human. All they saw was Kari Oak, their best friend and one who\'d be there for them for a long time.
It was a strange world through her eyes that brought her through every difficult struggle in life. But now she was proud to be part of that world...The World Of Pokemon and humans alike. Living side by side as friends and family. Her dreams had come true and she was thankful forever that now she had something to believe in and friends that would fight by her side!
