A/N- Perhaps I should have mentioned that this story contains spoilers.

Nikkou watched in worried amazement as his mother all but fluttered around the kitchen preparing breakfast. She hummed as her hand slowly stirred the soup. Nikkou�s eyes followed her and she went to the cupboard to get a frying pan. Did she study the kitchen last night while he was sleeping or something? They had only been here a day and already she knew where everything was. Movement caught Nikkou�s eye. He turned his head to Kyo who looked at her with a little smile on his face.

�So what? You two didn�t do anything last night, did you?� the boy looked up at the cat like he murdered small defenseless animals for fun.

Kyo looked shocked for a moment them smirked, �Go ask your mom.� The cat walked into the kitchen putting the kettle for tea. Tohru turned and almost bumped Kyo, who put his hands on her shoulders.

He chuckled a little, �Klutz. Be careful.�

�Good morning. Did you sleep well?� Tohru beamed at him. Kyo nodded as he stepped around her to get the tea canister. Nikkou sat outside completely discussed with his parents. He had grabbed a book on his way out, now he sat in the sun reading.

�Good morning.� A voice interrupted Nikkou�s concentration. The boy looked up to see a man dressed very traditionally with dark gray hair and brown eyes. �My name is Kazuma Sohma.�

�I�m Nikkou Honda, It�s nice to meet you.� He put his book down.

�Are you Tohru�s son?� The old Master asked.

�Yeah, how did you know?� Nikkou asked curiously.

�Kyo has told me about you. I hear you�re starting the fourth grade, is that right?� Kazuma smiled.

�Yeah. I�ll go get Kyo for you.� Nikkou stood and turned to go inside.

�Actually I came to see you and Tohru.�

�Nik- chan, Breakfast is� Master! It�s good to see you! How have you been? It�s been so long. Would you like breakfast? There�s enough for you to eat too.�

Kazuma smiled, �I would love to have breakfast.�

�What�s taking so� did you smell the food or is it a coincidence that you came over during breakfast time?� Kyo crossed his arms over his chest.

Kazuma had the grace to look sheepish, �You had said Tohru was here and I couldn�t resist the temptation of her delightful cooking.�

The woman in question smiled, �Let�s go eat.�

They all sat around the breakfast table eating talking getting reacquainted. Tohru explained about her business and Kazuma talked about how the Dojo had been doing.

�So you�re the one that taught Martial Arts to Kyo?� Nikkou asked.

�That�s right and to most of the others in the zodiac.�

�So are you like his dad or something?� the boy asked.

�Sort of.� Kazuma said at the same time Kyo said, �Yep.� Nikkou looked confused.

�I don�t speak to my real father and I haven�t seen him in years. Master took me in and raised me like I was his own son.� Kyo took a sip of his soup. Kazuma smiled. He knew Kyo hated to get sentimental in front of people.

�How long have the two of you been in town?� the Master asked.

�We just got in yesterday.� Tohru said. �Actually I was thinking about going and visiting with people today. Nikkou, would you like to come?�

�Are they people you knew in high school?� the boy asked, when Tohru nodded he replied, �I�ll just stay here I can watch TV or something. It will be probably be boring.�

�I have a few errands to run. You could come with me and we can stop somewhere and do something fun.� Kazuma offered.

�That sounds cool.� The boy shrugged.

�I don�t have any students today. I�ll go with you.� Kyo said to Tohru. She smiled and nodded.

Breakfast was cleaned up and Kazuma and Nikkou headed out waving to Kyo and Tohru.

�Do you know who Kyo is?� Kazuma asked as they walked to the train.

�Yeah, he�s my father. He told me its okay to call him �Kyo�.� Nikkou said.

�I see. Well you seem to get along well.� The master looked down at the boy who shrugged.

Kyo walked with Tohru to Haru and Rin�s house. He had to show her because they had moved away from the main house. Their house sat third in a row of five. A playground was just down the street. The children playing sounded so joyous as the pair stepped up to the door. Tohru reached up to knock but thought better of it.

�What�s wrong?� Kyo sighed.

�What if they�re mad at me?� Tohru looked at him. The cat sighed again and knocked for her.

�I don�t think they mind. Don�t stress out about it.� Kyo said rubbing her back a little. The door swung open to reveal a very pregnant Rin. Her eyes lit up after a moment.

�When the hell you get back? And why didn�t you call?� As Tohru stuttered, Rin laughed a little tossing her long hair over her shoulder. �I�m kidding. It�s good to see you again. I hear you and Kyo have a kid.�

Tohru blushed, �Yeah, his name is Nikkou.�

�Rin- Koi, Who is it?� Haru called from the back.

�Just a stranger,� Rin stepped back to let them in. She walked into the kitchen. Haru came out of the back room and smiled at them.

�What are you two doing here? And without the kid?�

�He�s gone with Kazuma so I thought it might be nice to visit. I really am sorry I haven�t called.�

�You were busy, we understand.� Rin said when she came into the sitting room.

�How far along are you?� Tohru asked.

�Seven months. Two more to go.�

�I was just setting some stuff up in the baby�s room.� Haru said looking at Rin like she was the only person in the room.

�How long have you been married?� The young woman asked.

�Two years this October.� Rin said.

�You should sit down. I can get the tea.� The ox said when the kettle sounded.

�He�s very protective of you.� Tohru said.

�Yeah, it happened about month five. He actually hired someone to clean our house so I wouldn�t have to.� Rin said sitting in an overstuffed chair Haru had bought when he found out Rin was pregnant. The ox came back in with a full pot of tea. Tohru and Kyo stayed for a while longer talking to the pair of newly weds. Rin, as it turns out, is an administrative assistant on maternity leave. Haru is still trying to convince her to just quite and stay home full time. The four of them lost track of time so when Tohru checked her clock, she really wasn�t expecting it to be eight. Tohru and Kyo excused themselves, Tohru saying the she needed to go pick up Nikkou. Rin walked them to the door. After the pair left and the door was closed she turned to her husband.

�2000 yen says their together by the end of the year.� The horse smiled. Haru rolled his eyes and took her hand.

�We�ll see.� He said.
