Chapter 8 : Starting Over
-:- Yukito POV -:-
It's been five months since that incident at the concert. Life is as normal as it ever will be.
Touya's got a job at the little coffee shop we used to go to. I work next door in the flower shop, such a beautiful place to be in the late afternoons. Life was slowly returning to normal, everyone was starting to forget about what happened. Some days I will just be walking down the street and hear people talking about that incident and tears will begin trying to spring themselves up.
It still hurts every time I think about what had happened. I'm okay with it now, time has a funny way of making things better. I guess some are wondering what happened to her band, well they went on. Kalice took Natalliee's place as the main vocalist considering she helped Natalliee sing on multiple songs. They're called 'Ten Years Gone' now, a more appropriate title for them I guess.
Everyday I have to walk past the place where she used to live, her parents had moved out a while ago. The place was so quiet and comforting, sometimes I would just go up the drive and sit on the swing out in front. I remembered every morning she would sit here and wait for me and Touya to show up for school. Sitting there in her uniform and her skateboard, singing to herself to pass the time. When she would see us she got on her board and grabbed onto the back of my bike to keep her balance. I still missed those mornings.
Things are different now. Especially for me and Touya considering I had a cute little bundle of joy on its way.
It was funny, Touya almost fainted when I told him the news. He was still very excited about it.
Things were different now. Life was moving on, so we all should move on as well.
I finally got myself into the shop and got to work. I stopped to turn on the radio so I wouldn't die of boredom.
"And now for a small bite of the past. I give to you 'Image Of Me' by 'The Silence'."
'Look at me what do you see?
Am I real or just a dream?'
-:- Author's Notes -:-
Finished. Complete. Done.
That's it. Memories Broken has come to it's end.
I couldn't do more than this because it all ended so peacefully in my head.
In about a week or so I'll get started on part two.
'To Be Forgiven'
That's the second part.
Thank you all for reading, even if ya never reviewed. I hope you all enjoyed it as much as I did.
One more time. Thank you oh-so-very-much Midnyte for putting up with my story long enough to beta the chapters.
Love ya for it!!
