Author's Note
Alright...so it has been brought to my attention by a reviewer (thank you, Fuzzybunnytoo) for some people out there to write out the pronunciations of some of the japanese phrases that I randomly insert. I apologize if they seem gramatically incorrect, I know how annoying it is if someone does that. Gomennasai!
Sugoi ne - Sue-go(i) ne (the 'i' is mushed a bit together with go)
Masaka - ma (like mama) sa (like saw, not so much w) ka
tadaima - Ta (like the phrase, 'ta da!') Da (i) (meshed with Da) ma (like mama)
Omae wo baka ga - O - ma - e (e is pronounced like 'eh')
wo - (like 'whoa', not so much a)
baka - ba...ka
ga - ('gah')
gaijin - gai (like 'gay') jin (like chin, but more 'j' than 'ch')
Iie - ii(mushed together 'eeeee' sound) e (like 'eh')
~~~~~~~~~~~~~*~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~*~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~*~~~~~~~~~~~~*~~~~~~
As for Chapter 5...apparently I forgot the footnotes for that one, so here you go:
Onegai - please
Anata - you, or 'dear'. In this case, it's 'you'.
o ('oh) ne - gai (ga and 'i', i is pronounced 'eeee' but a bit meshed with 'ga')
a (like 'ah') na - ta (like in 'ta da')
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~*~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~*~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~*~~~~~~~~~~~~~
minna-san
Mi (like 'me') nna (A longer 'n' sound, with a closed first 'n') sa (n)
hontoni
Ho (like the tool 'hoe') 'n' (closed 'n' sound meshed with 'ho') to (like 'toe') (meshed with closed 'n') i (like 'eeee')
Demo
de - mo (the 'e' in De, is pronounced like 'eh' with 'd')
Arigatou - A (like 'ah') ri (like R'eeeee')- ga (like 'gah') tou (like 'toe')
I hope this helps for all of you readers out there....
And thank you for bringing this to my attention my wonderful reviewer, 'Fuzzybunnytoo'. Thanks again, minna-san...if you need anymore help with pronounciation, just email me and let me know. Ja ne!
