Athena Arc-Chapter 152: The Semifinals Roundup! Ash Has to Battle without Akane! Ash vs. Jing! Final Round Matchup! Jing vs. Iris!
It was the day for the Semifinals. Me and Akane headed towards Ash.
Me: (talking to Ash) Ash, we need to talk to you in private.
Ash: Uh, okay.

Few Minutes Later
Ash: (flabbergasted) What?! But why?!
Mei was in Akane’s arms.
Akane: (talking to Ash) (explains) Ash,the reason I can’t battle for you is because if I was to get hurt while Mei was watching, she’ll become frightened and scarred from seeing her own mother getting hurt by her own daddy’s Pokémon. We can’t let that happen. You understand,right, Ash?
Ash: (stutters) But-but-but……(sighs) I understand, Akane. I guess I’ll have to use Pikachu then.
Me: (smiles) (talking to Ash) Thanks, Ash.

Few Minutes Later
It was the first battle of the Semifinals. Me and Ash were on opposite sides of the field.
Ash: (talking to Pikachu) Pikachu, you ready?
Pikachu: (confident) Just leave it to me, Ash. (runs to the field)
Me: Now,Cacturne, (throws Poké Ball) come out!
Cacturne: (appears) I’m ready. (turns around) Time for a hug!
I moved out of the way as Cacturne was going to hug me.
Me: (talking to Cacturne) Stop doing that, Cacturne. Anyway, let’s do this.
Cacturne: (agrees) Right. (goes onto the field)
Ash: Pikachu, Thunderbolt!
Pikachu launched a Thunderbolt at Cacturne.
Me: (calm) Sandstorm.
Cacturne created a whirlwind of sand around himself. Pikachu’s Thunderbolt hit the whirlwind of sand, but didn’t have any effect. The whirlwind started extending until it was covering the entire field.
Ash: Pikachu, use Electro Ball!
Pikachu was going to launch Electro Ball, but the sand was getting in the way of his vision.
Me: Needle Arm.
Cacturne appeared behind Pikachu and hit him in the back, sending Pikachu to the ground at a distance from him.
Pikachu: Ouch!
Ash: (worried) Pikachu! Are you okay?!
Pikachu: (responds) Yeah,I’m okay, Ash.
Ash: (relieved sigh) Thank goodness. Now Pikachu, use Volt Tackle!
Pikachu charged towards Cacturne while electricity was surrounding his body.
Me: Spikes.
Cacturne launched black spikes onto the ground in front of Pikachu. Pikachu couldn’t turn since the spikes were a few inches from his feet. Once he stepped on them, his feet hurt.
Pikachu: (stops Volt Tackle) (feet in pain) Aaaahhh, that really hurts!!
Me: Return.
Cacturne appeared in front of Pikachu. Cacturne then punched Pikachu, sending him flying and crashing into the ground but out of the sandstorm. The sandstorm’s range had ecreased during the battle.
Me: Pikachu, use Volt Tackle again!
Pikachu struggled to get up. Once he was up, he charged towards the whirlwind of sand, but slower than he was before. The electricity surrounded Pikachu.
Me: Special Technique! Sandstorm Dragon!
The whirlwind of sand suddenly started moving and spinning violently. The top began shaping up until it resembled a dragon’s head; it even had glowing yellow eyes. Everyone was shocked. The dragon roared loudly and charged at Pikachu.
Pikachu’s Volt Tackle and the dragon collided with each other. There was an explosion.
Ash: (worried) (calls out) Pikachu!
After a while, the smoke cleared. Pikachu was damaged a lot while Cacturne was okay and wasn’t damaged because he was protected from the explosion.
Me: Absorb.
Cacturne shot out a red beam at Pikachu. The beam had connected while Pikachu was trying to get up. Pikachu’s body started glowing red and his energy was being stolen. After a few seconds of his energy being taken away from him, Pikachu fell unconscious.
Referee: Pikachu is unable to battle, Cacturne wins.
Me: (smiling) Good job, Cacturne.
Cacturne: (runs over to me) Hug time!
I decided to just stand still. Cacturne wrapped his arms around me and hugged. I didn’t feel any pain because I’m used to him hugging me.
Ash: (picks up Pikachu) You okay, buddy?
Pikachu: (reassures) Yeah,I’m okay, Ash.
Ash: (talking to me) Wow Jing that was a great battle. You two were powerful.
Me: (grins) I could the say the same thing about you two.

In the Stands
Ananta: So it seems that Jing has made it to the Finals. This means that either Cilan or Iris will battle him.
Shinobu: (agrees) Yeah, but who will win is the question.
Jack: It doesn’t matter who wins or lose, it’s just only about having fun in the end.
Gash: (smiles) (nods) Yeah.
Me: (appears) (talking to everyone) Hey, guys. So, how you guys like the battle?

Meanwhile
Jong was on top of one of the stadium’s lights. On his shoulders were Thunder and Even, while Uxie was in his arms. They had been watching my battle against Ash.
Jong: (grins) You’re getting stronger than ever before, Cacturne. I made a wise decision letting you go along with Ash.
Even: (talking to Jong) Don’t we have something important to do?
Thunder: (talking to Jong) Like,I don’t know, try and stop Team Plasma.
Jong: (talking to both Thunder and Even) Don’t worry you two. I can find them in a heartbeat.
Even: (sighs) Yeah,yeah, we know.
Jong: (grins) Good. (talking to Uxie) Uxie, it’s time for us to go.
Uxie: (talking to Jong,Thunder,and Even) Just hold on tightly.
They were teleported away.

Few Minutes Later
The next battle was Cilan vs. Iris.
Cilan: (talking to Iris) From the time I met you and Ash,I've wondered why you wouldn't challenge the Gyms, seeing that they would give you battle experience. Maybe I'll find out why you don't challenge the Gyms.
Iris: (feels insulted) And what is that supposed to mean?
Cilan: (grins) I'm just saying that maybe you don't have the courage to take on a challenge.
Iris: (determined) I'll make you eat those words! (talking to Axew) Axew, let's go!
Axew ran onto the field.
Cilan: Pansage, (throws Poké Ball) evaluating time!
Pansage appeared.
Iris: Scratch!
Cilan: (talking to Pansage) (orders) Dig.
Pansage dug underground.
Iris: (encourages) Keep moving Axew!
Cilan: (thinking) (muses) Pansage is quicker under the ground than Axew is above ground.
Pansage appeared from under the ground where Axew was, sending Axew flying and crashing into the ground.
Iris: (worried) Axew, you ok?
Axew: Yeah.
Cilan: Back under the ground, Pansage!
Pansage dug back underground again.
Iris: (thinking) (frustrated) Grrr...How...(gets an idea) wait...(stops thinking) (talking to Axew) (instructs) Axew, go stand right where Pansage went into the ground.
Cilan: (thinking) What is she up to?
Iris: (thinking again) Now...(stops thinking) (talking to Axew again) Ok,Axew, blow Dragon Rage into the hole!
Axew did what Iris said. The result was Pansage taking damage from the attack and the ground caved around him.
Cilan: (very surprised) Ahhh!
Pansage came from under the rubble, damaged and flustered.

In the Stands
Dawn: No wonder she beat me.
Zoey: (jokes) Someone's been watching Ash too much.

Back to the Battle
Cilan: (orders) Bullet Seed!
Iris: Dodge!
One of the Bullet Seeds brushed by Axew’s side, but didn't cause any damage.
Cilan: Ok Pansage, Solar Beam!
Pansage summoned a ball of light in his hands and was charging it up.
Iris: (encourages) Axew, you've got to hit Pansage with your strongest Outrage!
Axew went towards Pansage and began to launch continuous punches and kicks at him. After a while, Axew stopped attacking Pansage. Pansage fell to the ground, unconscious. The aura disappears, but Axew's eyes continued to glow red and he was moving around confused.
Referee: Pansage is unable to continue, Axew wins!
Iris: (joyful) (celebrates) Yes! We did it Axew!
Axew: (confused) Alright!

In the Stands
Georgia: Bah, she got lucky. (leaves)
Angie: (realizes) Hey, that means...
Me: (grins) I’ll be facing Iris in the Finals.

Few Minutes Later
Everyone was eating Lunch at the Pokémon Center’s Cafeteria. Me and Ash was eating a lot of food.
Zoey: (talking to Dawn) Dawn, how can you get used to him being such a pig?
Dawn: (answers) It does take some getting used to, but he's only like this just before a battle.
Shinobu: (jokes) Jing is always like that when it comes to Breakfast,Lunch,Dinner,and Dessert..
Elena: (jokes as well) Unfortunately, I’m the one who has to cook a lot of food for him. But I’m used to it.
Iris: (talking to me) Hope you're ready to lose, Ash
Me: (stops eating) Iris, you better be ready because I won’t be holding back any of my Pokemon’s power.
Iris: Me too.
Angie: (talking to Anabel) (quiet tone) Anabel, have you noticed...
Anabel: (small smile) Yes, Iris has been acting as if she has to prove herself to us and Ash...I wonder what brought this on?
May: (looking at the pamphlet) (thinking) Damn, and they are giving a Moon Stone away to the victor as well. I don't know if I want to use it, but I'd like to give Skitty the choice. (sighs)
Mei was drinking from her bottle while looking at me because I was sitting right next to her and Akane.
Mei: (thinking) …….Daddy...

Few Minutes Later
It was me vs. Iris. I was using Sliggoo while Iris was using Axew. Sliggoo had been dodging all of Axew’s attacks while Axew has been taking damage.
Me: (talking to Goo) Goo, use Dragon Breath.
Goo eyes glowed red. Then, she opened her mouth and released a transparent beam of energy with white rings around it from her mouth at Axew.
Iris: (talking to Axew) Axew, dodge!
Axew dodged Goo’s Dragon Breath.
Iris: Now use Dragon Rage!
Axew pulls his head back and a light blue orb of energy forms inside the middle of his stomach. He then opens his mouth and a light blue orb of energy was inside his mouth. He then fired a powerful blast of blue and black energy into the air. The beam then shaped itself to look like a blue and black dragon and then it headed towards Goo.
Me: (calm) Dodge, then use Blizzard.
Goo jumped into the air, avoiding the attack. She then released a powerful blizzard from her mouth. Axew couldn’t dodge the attack because he was still launching Dragon Rage. Axew took a lot of damage from the attack.
Iris: (worried) Axew, are you okay?!
Axew: (struggling) Yeah, I’m fine.
Me: Use Dragon Pulse and swallow it!
Everyone was surprised.
Iris: (shocked) Not this again!
Goo opened her mouth and a turquoise ball of energy appeared. She then swallowed it. Then, Goo’s body began glowing with turquoise-colored energy.
Me: Now, use Dragon Pulse with Dragon Breath.
Goo formed another Dragon Pulse in her mouth and launched it, fast. Then, she launched a Dragon Breath, fast. Axew couldn’t dodge both attacks. There was an explosion. After a while, the smoke cleared. Axew was unconscious.
Referee: Pikachu is unable to battle, Sliggoo is the winner. Jing wins the Nimbasa Town Tournament!

In the Stands
Georgia: (proud and smug) Told you she would lose.

Few Minutes Later
They had awarded me with a trophy and a Moon Stone. After that, the tournament went to a close.

Meanwhile
Drew: (appears) (talking to May) May?
May: Drew?
Drew: (explains) Listen,you proved to me that you are far from rusty, even if you are traveling in a region that has no contests. (informs) I'm heading on for Sinnoh. I want to go through there and see if I can't better myself. (requests) So if you know what's good for you, you'll get better.
May: (wondering) Will your traveling buddies leave with you?
Drew: I don't know about Kenny, but as far as Harley goes...(smirks) (serious) he can go jump off a cliff.
Harley: (feels insulted) (shouts at Drew) I heard that!
Drew sighed,gave a parting nod to May,and walked off.

Few Hours Later
Ash was watching May as she raised her arms upward to remove her shirt, revealing her large bra covered breasts. She then turned her rear towards Ash as she bent over to untie her shoes. Thomas: We really need to get a cook on our team.
Crayon: Maybe Hayate could be our cook?
Thomas: He focuses on becoming strong. We don’t have a cook,doctor,archeologist,swordsman,or sniper. Even if you join and you have no position, you’re still important. Now, let me get the dessert. (goes over to the oven)
He grabbed a tray and on them were plates with pudding on top of them. Both the pudding and the caramel was rainbow colored. He then brought the plates to each member. He then sat down with his own plate in front of him.
Thomas: (talking to everyone) It’s Rainbow Fruit Pudding. The pudding is made from the Rainbow Fruit, and the caramel is made from the juices. I got the Rainbow Fruit from Kazu. Try it.
Everyone grabbed a spoon and scooped a spoonful of the pudding with the caramel. Once they put it in their mouths, something happened. A blast of flavor was coursing through their mouths.
Juliet: (smiling) It’s delicious!!
Blake: (surprised) This flavor is out of this world. I’ve never tasted something this amazing in my entire life.
Midnight: (still expressionless) It’s incredible.
Hayate: (impressed) Not bad.
Then, some of the members of Team Alpha felt like their strength increased.
Hayate: (very impressed) I feel like I’m becoming much stronger than I was before. (wondering) How can make us so strong?
Thomas: (smirks) Let me tell you guys about Gourmet Cells.

Info #3: The Rainbow Fruit Pudding is the first Gourmet Ingredient that the other members of Team Alpha have eaten. Thomas has only been getting normal ingredients from different worlds.
