Law flicked on the lights as him and Luffy entered his room before venturing into the meticulously organized closet. He rummaged around before tossing Luffy a few items. He caught them easily and eyed Law.
“You can’t sleep in my bed in your street clothes,” He was so particular and it amused Luffy more than anything. He made a mental note each time he learned about something that irritated Law. So far, his list was as follows: he hated bread, hated messes, hated horror movies, hated dirty clothes in his bed, and most definitely hated it when Luffy called him Torao in bed. It would be so fun to use these things against the cranky man in the future.
“That’s fine, but it’s kind of pointless to change now since I won’t be wearing them in a minute” Luffy spoke seductively, again informing Law of his intent. He stripped down and changed into Law’s borrowed articles painfully slow, keeping eye contact with Law the entire time while he stood across the room from him. He watched Law gulp and clearly try to suppress his arousal. It was just too easy. If this was the game between them, Luffy would win every time.
After he changed, Luffy crawled under the warm covers with a satisfied sigh as he inhaled the scent of Law, sweet vanilla mixed with coffee with a musky hint of something Luffy couldn’t place. The tattooed man joined a moment later and Luffy snuggled up to Law’s chest the second he was in his grasp. Law rested a hand on the small of his back, laying on his back with Luffy half sprawled on top of him.
“So you found your brother? How’d that happen?” Law questioned. Luffy perked up at the question. He had mentioned Sabo a few times earlier but they never actually talked about it. He was excited to share the news with Law that he finally had his brother back.
“Yeah, he showed up on my doorstep. It was so crazy! He’s like some big shot guy for the Revolutionary Army and he came to Dressrosa to investigate the government. Oh shit, yeah don’t tell anyone about that. It’s totally top secret. Seriously, he would kill me if he found out. Oh yeah speaking of killing, he also assassinated the guy who murdered Ace. It was insane.”
Law started back at him looking like a cartoon character with how wide eyes were. Oops. Luffy totally overshared. He was just overflowing with excitement and needed to tell someone about his meeting with Sabo. He had a bad habit of rambling at times like this. He wasn’t too pressed about it though, he was confident that Law could keep a secret and wouldn’t tell anyone about Sabo’s job or about Ace’s assassination. Luffy figured the cat was already out of the bag, so he might as well keep going.
“It gets even crazier though. He told me that the guy who killed Ace was in the Navy and was already targeting him and that it wasn’t my fault he died. He said Ace probably knew he was a target and was happy he could see me and die protecting me.” Luffy paused only to catch his breath “Sabo also said he wanted to thank you for saving my life. Oh, and also told me that I should go after you if I wanted you so he’s kind of the reason I’m even here right now. Sabo is so smart.” Luffy continued on and on, his face beaming as he talked about his big brother.
“Are you done rambling so I can finally respond?” Law asked after he finished.
“Sorry, I know that was a lot. I was just really excited to tell you everything.” Luffy apologized.
“Don’t apologize, I’m not mad. I’m just trying to take it all in.” Law’s hand brushed his cheek. That’s a relief. He was worried for a second that he was annoying Law again. Well, Law was always annoyed with him he supposed but this was important to Luffy.
“I’m glad you found your brother again and that he is back in your life. It sounds like he really cleared everything up surrounding Ace’s death. I hope figuring this all out helped you realize you shouldn’t blame yourself. But I have to say, your family sounds like they have been involved in some wild situations.” Law continued with a soft smile.
“Yeah, I think I’m finding out that everyone in my family has been involved in some crazy shit. That’s not even counting my Grandpa. I’ll tell you about him another time. That’s why I don’t care about whatever stuff you’re involved in. Which you still haven’t even really told me anything besides the fact that you used to murder people.”
It was true. He didn’t know much about Law’s past besides the fact that someone died for Law and that he possibly had some ties to the mafia. Luffy had just guessed the latter but Law’s face all but confirmed it. Did Law have a family? Where’d he grow up? He yearned to know everything about Law but he knew he shouldn’t rush things. They already went into things enough for one day. Luffy had time to unravel all of Law’s secrets.
“I can’t tell you anything more, Luffy. Plus you obviously don’t know how to keep your mouth shut considering you came over here and spilled all of your brother’s secrets. I’m sure he wouldn’t be very happy to find that out,” Luffy puffed his cheeks. He wouldn’t have told just any old person about Sabo. Law was different.
“I only told you because I trust you and you already knew about the situation with Ace. I can keep secrets.” Luffy explained, trying to justify his loose lips.
“You shouldn’t blindly trust people so easily, Luffy.” Law advised.
“You won’t betray me, right Torao?.” Luffy beamed confidently. Law rolled his eyes.
“No. I’ll keep your secrets. I don’t have anyone to tell them to anyways.” Law huffed. That was what Luffy wanted to hear. Not that he doubted Law.
“Okay I’m done talking. Make me feel good, Torao” Luffy demanded and pressed his lips to Law’s hungrily. Law sighed, clearly frustrated with Luffy’s aloof reactions to everything but he returned the kiss regardless.
“I like it better when you don’t talk anyways.” Law murmured between kisses. Luffy snickered.
“Yeah well I like it better when you don’t talk too. Jerk.” Luffy quipped before trailing light kisses down Law’s neck. He switched directions, traveling up his chin and nibbling at the sides of his ears. He took the gold hoops in his mouth and sucked on them. He felt Law’s body twitch below him at the feeling.
“I like these. They make you look like a sexy pirate. You should wear them all the time.” He breathed into Law’s ear. The toned man responded by grabbing him by the wrists and flipping him over, hovering above him. Luffy grinned, satisfied with Law tossing him around with ease.
“I thought you were done talking.” Law teased, his eyes darkening. Law captured his lips again, tongues exploring each other with the occasional lip bite. Luffy could kiss this man all day. His mouth was so warm and it was so fun to battle for dominance against the larger figure. He wanted to touch him but with his arms restrained, he couldn’t. He was sure Law was doing this as payback for Luffy doing the same earlier in his office.
Luffy broke the kiss and quickly pulled his arms out from Law’s grasp, freeing himself. Law wasn’t holding on that tight, and didn’t resist. Luffy took control and flipped law back onto his back. He pressed a knee between the taller man’s legs and rubbed it against Law’s already hardened cock. Law’s breath hitched.
He was aching for Law to just be inside of him already. But the desire to torture Law a little bit pushed his neediness aside. He wanted to kiss every inch of Law’s tattoos and make him want Luffy so bad he couldn’t help himself. He started the exploration of his lips with the tip of the heart at Law’s stomach and traced the lines up his chest, stopping to swirl his tongue around Law’s nipple. Law groaned as he nibbled on the pink peak and pressed a hand to his neck. Luffy swatted it away, indicating that he wanted to continue with his adventure alone. He ran his tongue up Law’s collarbone and down the tattoos on his right arm.
Luffy finally reached his hand after he completed his arduous journey over Law’s body. Law was squirming underneath him, clearly impatient. Luffy would let him have what he wanted soon. He dutifully licked each letter that marked Law’s fingers spelling out ‘DEATH’. Then he took Law’s pointer and middle finger and brought them to his lips. He pressed them down his throat and hummed on Law’s hand as he sucked the digits, looping his tongue around them. He stared straight into Law’s eyes and watched the lust fill the beautiful golden eyes before him. Law groaned and Luffy pulled his hand out with a satisfying ‘pop’.
“Now touch me with those fingers and give me what I want,” Luffy commanded. Law’s eyebrows raised at Luffy telling him what to do, but the man complied, quickly pulling down Luffy’s pants and underwear in one motion.
“You’re awfully demanding today,” Law murmured while he grabbed the lube from his bedside table. He mixed the liquid onto his fingers with Luffy’s spit and brought his hand to Luffy’s now exposed rear. Law pressed wet finger inside and Luffy whined. He stretched him open carefully and slowly pushing into him before adding two, then three fingers after a moment. He increased the pace and Luffy felt Law’s fingers hit his pleasure spot. Luffy began to unravel under Law’s touch when Law brought a hand to his length, stroking it in time with his thrusting fingers.
“Law…” He moaned loudly. Law, pleased with his reaction, pressed the spot again over and over as he stroked him until Luffy’s vision began to whiten. Ecstasy hit him hard and he came with a groan. Law kissed him hard as he pulled his fingers out. Luffy melted. His arms turned into jello and he fell against Law’s chest. The release that he felt from Law’s hand was unlike the ones he experienced when he was frustratingly pleasuring himself. He sighed at the satisfaction of finally feeling a satisfying release.
“Good boy. You’re behaving so well for me.” Law praised. He lightly ran his nails down Luffy’s back while he waited for the smaller one to catch his breath. He loved it when Law praised him and told him he was pleased with his behavior. It was a welcome change from Law badgering him for not listening. Luffy liked irritating Law by disobeying him, but in the bedroom he would obey just to hear Law’s sweet words.
“You’re not done yet. I’m just getting started.” Law purred with a light smack on his ass. Luffy’s head spun as he recovered from his long-awaited release. He took a few deep breaths and composed himself. As much as he wanted Law to just take control and fuck him against the bed, he wanted to be on top this time. He wanted to show Law that he was capable of providing him pleasure too, an extension of the acts Luffy had done earlier in the day.
Luffy rose from Law’s chest and dutifully removed Law’s pants, the large throbbing length popping up to greet him. Luffy grabbed the lube and spread the liquid on his hands before stroking Law a few times to make it even easier for him. Luffy held Law’s member in his hands as he hovered above, aligning it with his needy hole.
“Oh so you want to ride me? Okay, show me what you can do.” Law spoke as he watched Luffy, the desire dripping from his lips. He weaved his fingers together and rested his hands behind his head. So he just wanted to watch? Luffy obliged, slightly nervous under Law’s intent gaze. But he aimed to please and wanted to show this man how good he could really be. He pressed himself down onto Law’s cock, sinking down slowly as he filled him inch by inch. A whine escaped from his lips as he savored the feeling of fullness.
“Fuck, you feel so good baby.” Law purred as Luffy adjusted to him. After a moment, Luffy started to move. He started slow, pulling up to almost the tip before pressing down hard onto Law. Luffy moaned loudly each time Law speared him, his insides evaporating. Law watched him approvingly with a grin. Good. He was doing a good job. Luffy grounded himself with his toes and began to ride Law, increasing the pace, fingers digging into Law’s sides to help stabilize himself.
“It’s so hot when you ride me like a little whore,” Law moaned. Luffy could see the desire humming in Law’s eyes and it wasn’t long before the man couldn’t resist him any longer. His hands fell from where they rested behind his head and gripped Luffy’s hips hard, digging his nails in. The feeling of borderline pain meeting pleasure swirled in Luffy’s head. Law began thrusting up into him, matching Luffy’s quickening pace. They both panted heavily and Luffy’s head fell back in ecstasy as he bounced up and down on Law.
A warmth built up in his stomach as the pleasure filled every inch of his body. Everything just felt like it clicked into place when he was fucking Law. It was just so right. He didn’t know how he went his entire life without experiencing this freeing feeling of pleasure. Electricity sparked as he met Law’s gaze and unspoken emotions flowed between them. Law could say whatever he wanted but when they were joined like this, their chemistry was undeniable.
Law’s movements quickened to a ruthless pace, Luffy giving up on meeting him and letting him take command.
“Fuck, Law, fuck, feels so good.” Luffy moaned between thrusts.
“Do you want me to fill you up, baby?” Law purred. Luffy couldn’t resist it. He loved the fullness he felt when Law’s warmth spread inside of him. He had only experienced it once and had been dreaming of the moment he could feel it again.
“Yes. Please, please.” Luffy begged. Law, giving into his pleasure, bucked hard deep into him before cumming. Luffy felt the warm liquid fill his every crevice. Law snaked a hand to Luffy’s length and stroked it as he rode out his own orgasm. Luffy moaned loudly and came a moment later. He flopped down onto Law’s chest as they both panted silently, Law still inside of him. Luffy pressed his face into Law’s neck and inhaled the scent of his skin, inhaling the soothing scent mixed perfectly with the sweaty smell of their combined lust. Silence flowed over them and Luffy savored the comfortable feeling of their bare bodies pressed together.
“You’re not going to kick me out again tomorrow, right?” Luffy was the one to break the silence. He didn’t think his heart would be able to take it if Law treated him with the same cruelty he had before.
“I’m not going to kick you out. But if I was smart I would,” Law murmured into his hair. Luffy considered his next words carefully. After the whirlwind of a day they had, he really just had one question lingering inside of him.
“Can you just agree to be with me? I don’t care what happens, I just want you, Law. Like this, everyday.” Luffy confessed, bearing his soul. He braced himself for another argument, Law continuing his narrative of saying it was too dangerous for Luffy to be with him. Luffy didn’t know how many times he could spell it out to the man that he didn’t care about that shit. He had placed his life into Law’s hands and all the surgeon needed to do was close his tattooed fingers around it.
“Okay.” Law muttered. Luffy froze. Law actually agreed to be with him? Was it that easy? He lifted his head and gazed down at Law in awe.
“Really?” He questioned, his heart beating fast. He couldn’t believe what was happening.
“Yeah. Now stop making me think about it more. I might change my mind,” Law replied. He pressed a hand to Luffy’s cheek, his stern face not matching the words he had spoken nor the kindness of his touch. Law was his. Luffy couldn’t get enough of that idea. He wanted to click his heels together and sing a song but obviously Law would scold him if he acted like such a fool. He didn’t want to give him a reason to change his mind.
“Let’s get you into the shower. I need to clean you up.” Law slid out of Luffy and he made a small noise. He disliked the lack of contact between them. Law must have noticed his disdain lifted him into his strong arms, and carried him to the bathroom bridal style.
“I like it when you carry me around. You’re so strong, Torao,” Luffy murmured into his chest as Law turned on the shower, waiting for it to warm up.
“I can tell,” Law murmured while he flipped on the shower, the multiple shower heads spurting to life. A few moments later, Law stepped under the warm stream. He set Luffy down on his feet, careful to hold onto him so he didn’t collapse under his own body weight. The experience was like being pampered at a spa. Law didn’t let him do anything. He held onto him tightly while Luffy blushed as he cleaned the remainder of his cum out. He lathered him up in soap, scrubbing every inch of his body before pushing him down onto the shower bench.
Soft fingers ran through Luffy’s now tangled hair, combing out the knots with his while he rubbed shampoo into them. Law rinsed his hair with a detachable shower head, the giant shower having four separate water sources. Because why not. This is what it was like to live the fancy life, he guessed. Luffy's shower at home was small and musty, some mold lingering here and there. In comparison, Law’s felt like he was in a five star hotel.
Luffy was grateful he found such a good lover, one who was a little rough in bed just the way he liked it, but provided such great care afterwards. Luffy wondered where Law picked up these habits. The man was a work of art and also 7 years his senior, it was only natural that he had multiple lovers throughout his life. Luffy couldn’t think about the idea of Law being with other people. He was too content right now. Law turned off the water, leaving his side and returning with a big fluffy towel. He wrapped Luffy up and dried off his hair. The handsome man guided him to his bed and pressed his naked body down into the sheets. Luffy knew the clothes earlier were a waste of time. He languished in the thought that he got to sleep the entire night pressed against Law’s naked form.
“Go to sleep. I’ll be back in a minute.” Luffy let himself snuggle into the soft blankets and drift off into sleep, contentment humming through his tired body. He was satisfied with himself and deemed plan part 2 partially a success. Law had agreed to be with him. They were together. They had slept together and Luffy would wake up tomorrow with Law by his side. He hoped he would be able to spend more days with Law like this one, snuggling on the couch and watching movies before pleasing each other in the bedroom. It felt like everything Luffy didn’t even know he wanted or needed was in his grasp.
–
Law cleaned up the bathroom before flipping off the lights returning to his bed. He smiled gently at Luffy, already curled up and sleeping, clutching his blankets. He crawled in and wrapped himself around the smaller frame, pressing a kiss to his forehead before closing his eyes. It had been such a rollercoaster of a night. He had to compartmentalize each part of it so he could digest it properly. Law expected it would be awhile before his mind left him sleep. Must be nice to be able to just shut your brain off and pass out in minutes.
Luffy had appeared at his door and he allowed the smaller man to force himself in. He could have protested, forced him out but his body yearned for his presence and simply let him pass. A silent tug-of-war had occurred between his brain and his heart and apparently his heart won. Why did he even let him in? Besides the fact he knew that Luffy would eventually find a way to force himself in.
Perhaps Law’s subconscious truly desired the happiness Luffy was so willing to serve him on a silver platter. The same one Bepo said he deserved. The idea that someone could drag him out of the depths he had fallen into due to years of suffering was something he had pushed somewhere so far in the back of his mind. Before this human ball of trust and affection forced its way into his life, it was something he wouldn’t dare consider.
So maybe that’s what this was all about. Law simply wanted someone to prove to him that they could accept him no matter the many flaws he had. Luffy had said he wanted him earlier that day but he didn’t have a clue what the burden of wanting Law entailed.
With that in mind, Law made one of the most foolish decisions of his life. He told Luffy he was a fucking murderer. In reality, perhaps he only did this as a way to present Luffy with the most egregious part of him to see if he would reject him for it. But Luffy just brushed him off almost effortlessly. He didn’t know who was the bigger idiot. Himself for confessing murder to a man he barely knew, or Luffy who couldn’t give less of a shit.
He knew Luffy was a fool, but how could he not see how insane this situation was? He made fucking jokes about it. And how was his intuition so damn good? It was almost as if he already knew everything. He joked about Law being a Surgeon of Death, about being in the mafia. It was like he just opened up the book that was Law’s memories and flipped through it. And he was totally fine with all of it. What an insanely illogical person.
Perhaps the unbridled nature in which he just accepted every part of him without complaint was simply too insane for one as stubborn as Law to understand. It defied all logic and reason. Luffy defied all logic and reason.
It was Luffy’s most important revelation that perhaps stunned Law the most. ‘I would die if it was for you’. His soul had almost left his body at that statement. Law had never imagined that someone beside Cora would ever be willing to do such a thing for him . Because why would anyone die for Law? He was a heartless familyless loser who didn’t deserve that level of sacrifice.
It terrified him that Luffy wholeheartedly meant it. He truly believed he was so deeply indebted to Law that it didn’t matter what happened, he was living on borrowed time anyways. He didn’t want Luffy to feel like he owed him, that wasn’t fair to him. Law saved his life that day and would have done the same for anyone else. After all, it was his duty to save anyone who made their way to his table. Luffy’s time was his own. If anything, Law was the one who would be better off dead. Luffy’s presence on this earth could bring more value than someone like Law. Now that he was unshackled from his grief, Luffy was a force to be reckoned with.
Would Law die for someone else? He never really considered that idea. But as he mentally pictured Doflamingo, gun pointed at Luffy ready to pull the trigger, he realized that he would so easily jump in front of the bullet if it meant that Luffy could be happy and free.
It dawned on Law at that moment in the dark with Luffy breathing lightly on his side that perhaps Luffy saw the concept of self-sacrifice as the ultimate expression of love. It made sense when he thought about it. Luffy’s brother had sacrificed himself for him out of love. Although he perhaps knew that his time was limited, Ace had allowed himself to take the bullet so he could rest in peace knowing his brother was still alive. It was a twisted mindset, but with trauma like Luffy’s it strangely made sense.
He admired Ace in a way, with the knowledge that they were both likely fools. He would love to pick the now deceased brother's brain about the topic. Sadly the dead couldn’t speak. If they could, he would throttle Ace for leaving Luffy with such a heavy burden.
Maybe Ace and Cora were in the afterlife, enjoying a drink together while they looked down on the ones they left behind. Fuck you guys, he silently cursed at them.
Luffy trusted Law so easily for no explainable reason other than that Law happened to know about his past. He believed that no matter what happened, Law was such a miracle worker that he could simply just wave his magic wand and he would be totally fine. He was truly an idiot. Law was an amazing surgeon, it was one of the few things he was proud of. But he wasn’t a god. He didn’t always get to decide who died and who lived. People died on his table and sometimes there was nothing he could do about it.
Law didn’t want Luffy to die for him. He wanted the ball of sunshine that was the boy to be happy and free. He didn’t need to stick around someone like Law where the threat of violence existed. That was just the truth of the matter no matter how much his emotions fluctuated.
Law wanted to sit there and fight him tooth and nail. He really should have. He should have pushed him away before it was too late. But the way Luffy had so effortlessly and coolly accepted everything Law threw at him began to break him down.
He was tired. Tired of being alone, of fighting himself and everyone around him. So he gave in and left it for another day. After their entire lengthy disagreement Law concluded one thing: Luffy was perhaps the most stubborn person he had ever met. Law had a feeling the man would chase him to the ends of the earth if he decided to run away. That was both horrifying and heartwarming at the same time.
Somehow dropping the subject for another time led to Luffy demanding that they watch a stupid horror movie and Law gave into his whims. He was irritated by the movie. It was so wildly medically inaccurate. Despite his frustration, Law surprised himself by falling asleep. It was usually a methodical process that allowed sleep to overtake him.
Somehow, with Luffy’s warm body pressed against his, he passed out within minutes. Or maybe he was just exhausted from working for hours on end. That had to be it. He awoke to Luffy’s soft kiss on his lips and felt like he was still in a dream. The feeling of being so comfortable that he let his inhibitions go was so foreign to him. He acknowledged how much it scared him. How much this all scared him.
His internal screams continued to tell him to push Luffy away even after their arguing had long ceased. In some strange and twisted way, Luffy had accepted Law’s limited explanation of his past. If Luffy had pushed Law away and feared him for his past actions, it would have been much easier. He could have ended it all and moved on with his damn life. But the man accepted every puzzle piece that made up Law as a person that he had offered him thus far. His small pet peeves, the portions of his dark past he had shared. Of course, Law still had many more demons lurking in his closet. He wondered if Luffy would continue to greet each of them without complaint.
Law was convinced that if he stayed long enough, Luffy would eventually tire of him. Because why wouldn’t he? Law laid to bare the most negative parts of himself for. He told him why he was a bad person. While Luffy didn’t entirely disagree with his points, he simply explained that they didn’t matter, ending with ‘Why wouldn’t I want to be with you?’
That pure acceptance almost broke Law. He hadn’t cried in years, probably not since Cora died. But at that moment he was so overwhelmed with an unnameable emotion that he had to stop himself from sobbing into Luffy’s chest like a lost child. For the first time in as long as he could recall, he felt truly accepted by someone. He let Luffy hold him in his arms as he contemplated the weight of what that acceptance meant.
And so, he invited Luffy to bed, having given in. His body hummed with anticipation when Luffy said that they would definitely not be sleeping.
Law felt the blood rush through him when Luffy began to slowly change clothes in front of him. He always met Law’s eyes when he did things like this. The passion in the dark-eyed gaze was so strong it almost frightened him. He was so engrossed in that moment that he almost grabbed him then and there. But Law held back as they got into bed. He wanted to have a somewhat normal conversation. There were a lot of questions that still needed answering and this wasn’t just about sex.
He had asked Luffy about his brother and was met with overwhelming amounts of information. The aforementioned brother was a high ranking member of the Revolutionary Army, one with enough power to assassinate an Admiral of the Navy. This same man was now here in Dressrosa investigating Doflamingo’s political corruption.
Law felt that perhaps Sabo’s goals and his own could align in the future. Law had wanted nothing more than to dismantle Doflamingo’s organization and now that they were a target of the Revolutionary Army, the possibility became real. He would have to inquire further about Luffy’s brother. He wondered what kind of man he was.
Law secretly prayed that the Revolutionary Army’s investigation would lead them to taking Doflamingo out sooner rather than later. But no matter how it played out, if Luffy was foolish enough to force himself into Law’s life, he would protect him without question. He made that silent vow to himself.
Perhaps even more important than the mysterious brother’s reappearance was the circumstances behind the deceased one’s death. The information that Sabo provided had led to Luffy understanding that Ace’s death was not a necessary sacrifice, but one made out of pure love. Luffy’s brother had known death was coming for him on swift wings and he decided that instead of succumbing to a pointless end, he would die for the one closest to him.
Law’s heart swelled with melancholy. He was happy that Luffy was finally able to understand and cope with his brother’s death. At the same time, he felt a void open up inside his heart. He had thought he found a companion as a fellow survivor of self-sacrifice in Luffy but he was wrong.
The truth was that no one would show up at his doorstep and tell him that Cora knew that he was going to die and protected Law because he wanted to make that the purpose of his end. Cora betrayed his Doflamingo and his brother killed him. Cora had a gun in his hand and just chose not to pull the trigger. He was too much of a good man to kill his own family. It was as simple as that.
Law was once again alone in this situation. He couldn’t blame Luffy, in fact he felt immense relief that Luffy could move on with his life. But he was jealous and needed to find a way to cope with that After all, envy was a poison with no antidote. It only spread until it killed you.
The feeling of Luffy all over his body was one he couldn’t push from his mind. It permeated into skin. He couldn’t get over the feeling of how hot and perfect he felt whenever he was inside of the smaller man. The first time they slept together, Law was in total control and did whatever he could to relieve his partner’s grief and fulfill his request for pleasure.
Law still didn’t know why he slept with him that day. Perhaps he couldn’t resist helping what he had viewed as a pitiful person at the time. He was so small and weak, just begging for Law to take him. He truly was a terrible person for taking advantage of that.
But today was totally different. Luffy 's was in total control. When he was sucking Law off in his office, exposing himself in his closet, and especially when he climbed on top of Law and wordlessly demanded to ride him. Law savored every moment while he sat back and watched the raven haired pleasure himself on top of his cock.
Luffy slurped it up greedily, without hesitation. He wasn’t afraid to take everything. Law was confident that if he hadn’t intervened only minutes ago due the the overwhelming need to fuck Luffy to oblivion, the man would have ridden him until they both came. He regretted interfering. He should have let it play out.
Law had never met someone who did what they wanted without embarrassment or fear of rejection. He couldn’t help but be fascinated. ‘ I just want you, Law. Like this, everyday,’ Law’s heart skipped a beat recalling those words. He was secretly thrilled at the idea of having Luffy whenever he wanted. He would never admit it, however.
When Luffy asked to be with him, Law didn’t really think too much about it before he agreed. Perhaps Luffy knew he had caught him in the perfect moment. His ability to read Law infuriated him to no end. For them, the idea of ‘being together’ meant more than just being a sex partner or someone to spend time with. It was an acceptance of their earlier conversations–that no matter the danger, Luffy would stand by his side and even willingly die for him.
Was ‘being together’ an expectation that they would eventually form a bond of love? Wasn’t that really the point of a relationship? What did love even mean?
There were too many definitions for Law to rattle around in his brain. Law, ever the scholar, had once tried to logically define the word. His research had led him to the Greeks, a people who had many words to describe the concept of ‘love’. Their breakdown was the closest thing he had gotten to a definition.
Greek Philosophers broke down love into different types: Eros, the romantic love, Philia, the affectionate love, Agape, the selfless love, Storge, the familiar love, Mania, the obsessive love, Ludus, the playful love, Pragma, the enduring love, and Philautia, the self-love.
Now contemplating it, he found that Luffy was a person whose existence embodied most of these variations. The man was passionate, hungry, both incredibly selfish and selfless at the same time, committed, playful, loved his family, and loved human contact. He was quite the enigma. It was useless to derive reason from such an unreasonable person. It was perhaps a fool’s errand.
Love of any kind was something so far removed from Law’s life that he wasn’t sure he knew how to love in any manner. He didn’t have family, he wasn’t close with anyone really besides Bepo, sex and romance had been almost foreign concepts to him. He didn’t think his nature of being cruel and pushing people away embodied any type of love. In the unlikely event he ever fell in love, the person would likely have to pry the words out of his cold, dead hands. He could see Luffy doing something like that.
Law knew he couldn’t mention his confusion around such a simple topic. He couldn’t allow Luffy into the mess that was his head. It’s not like he was agreeing to love Luffy, he was simply accepting his presence in his life. After Luffy’s face lit up like a fucking christmas tree, he couldn’t ruin that moment with indecisiveness.
Instead, Law pampered Luffy. He provided as much comfort as he could after their lustful exchange. He just let himself be guided by his own instincts and gave Luffy everything that he would have wanted if he had someone to take care of him. A warm shower where he cleaned and touched every inch of his body gently. He debated clothing afterwards, but could also be greedy and didn’t want a barrier between his warmth tonight.
Law pulled Luffy closer, pressing himself as close to the sleeping boy as he could. Sleep had evaded him, his restless mind tossing and turning. But he looked forward to waking up tomorrow to Luffy’s smiling beautiful face. He would savor it for as long as he was able to.
He had spent almost two decades of his life alone and suffering. He had provided nothing to anyone and received nothing in return. Perhaps he would take what Luffy had to offer and see what he could give in return. With that thought, he quieted his brain and allowed himself to think only about the warmth and comfort of the body in his arms. That was enough for now.
–
Luffy woke up. He had been here before, but this time it was different. This morning, unlike the last time, he awoke enveloped in the warm embrace of the most beautiful man he had ever met. His eyes fluttered open and he saw before him Law’s peaceful sleeping face. He had only observed it once when the man had fallen asleep during the movie. But this was different.
Law was dead asleep with his mouth open slightly. It was so cute to see the usually stern and angry man laid bare in front of him. They both were naked, Luffy sprawled mostly on top of Law’s chest. He snuggled closer and wrapped his arms around Law’s mid-section. If he had it his way, he would never move from this position, staying entangled in Law forever.
He succumbed to this sweet feeling and closed his eyes until he felt Law begin to stir under him. He had no idea what time it was but he hadn’t wanted to disturb Law’s peaceful slumber. He had a feeling that the man didn’t get very much of it.
Law’s eyes blinked open and looked down on him, a soft half-asleep expression on his face.
“Good morning, boyfriend.” Luffy murmured, chin against his chest. Law blinked a few more times, the gears clearly shifting in his mind before he lifted his head in surprise.
“What?” He questioned. Shit. Maybe Law was going back on his promises from last night. He had told them they could be together and naturally Luffy assumed that meant they were now dating. Was he a fool to assume such a thing? Would Law take it back now that it was morning? He didn’t look too pleased right now.
“I mean you said we could be together… I assumed that meant we were dating now.” Luffy spoke into his chest. Law looked down on him with soft eyes and Luffy’s worries calmed.
“Okay, whatever.” Luffy’s heart almost burst from his chest. He didn’t disagree, and therefore that was a yes. Luffy joy from the previous evening felt renewed. Law was his.
Luffy felt like he had finally found meaning in his hopeless life and that was this stern and constantly angry but so unbelievably handsome man. Somehow, some way, he had convinced Law to accept him. He made the decision at that moment that he would devote everything to Law.
Law pressed a chaste kiss to his forehead, having fully woken up now. Luffy’s stomach growled, long ignored.
“Do you want some breakfast?” Law asked, clearly amused with his rumbling stomach.
“Yes, please.” Luffy nodded shyly. Law gently undid Luffy’s grasp on him and got out of bed, his full naked body on display for Luffy to see. His mouth watered. How could someone be so fucking hot all the time? Law disappeared for a moment before returning, himself now clothed much to Luffy’s dissatisfaction and holding what appeared to be clothing for Luffy. He pulled Luffy into a seated position and raised his arms, putting a soft shirt over his head.
If he could wake up like this everyday, he could die a happy man. Luffy wrapped his arms around the man’s waist, pulling him close. Law stroked his head before he moved his legs to the side of the bed and he pulled on shorts.
“You know I can dress myself,’ Luffy murmured. He appreciated the gesture but he wasn’t totally useless. Law had showered and now he was dressing him. Did he think of Luffy as an incapable child?
“Yeah I know.” Law replied.
Despite the previous statements about now being a child, he reached out his arms for Law to carry him. He was tired and slightly sore and really didn’t feel like climbing down the stairs. Law stared bewildered at the request before letting out a ‘tsk’ before wrapping Luffy’s arms delicately around his shoulders and lifting him up, arms holding up Luffy’s rear.
“So you can clothe yourself but you can’t walk, huh?” Law teased. Luffy had said he liked being carried around last night and Law indulged his childish whims.
“Yep.” Luffy replied simply as he pressed his face into Law’s neck.
“What am I going to do with you?” Law questioned which Luffy left unanswered.
Law set him down in one of the chairs at his kitchen table. Luffy ran his hands across the soft leather and took in the beautiful view of the ocean before him. It was a sunny morning and the light filtered through the window just right. The ocean was calm today. It seemed that when Luffy saw the sea, it reflected his own internal feelings. When he was upset, it rained and raged. But today, the water quietly pressed against the shore, as relaxed as Luffy felt.
Within minutes, Luffy heard the cracking of bacon in the pan and the meaty smell wafted towards him, Law’s back to him as he moved throughout the kitchen. Minutes passed before Law appeared at his side, a tall stack of blueberry pancakes and large pile of bacon presented to him on the plate in front of him.
“Mmmmm looks amazing. Thank you.” Luffy took the plate gratefully and began to dig in. He savored each bite of the syrupy and buttery pancakes, trying to recall the last time he had a real home cooked meal besides the thrown together meals Iva made him in his times of need. He truly couldn’t remember.
“It’s so good. You’re the best Torao.” He complimented the chef who ate slowly, savoring each bite at his side.
“I’m glad you like it,” Law murmured and sat down to eat with Luffy.
“I thought you didn’t like bread,” Luffy said in between bites.
“Pancakes are not bread,” he sternly advised. Luffy chuckled at the idiocy of his statement. Pancakes were absolutely bread.
“Sure whatever you say, Torao,” Luffy murmured sarcastically, slurping down another slice of bacon.
“Stop talking with your mouth full,” Law chastised. Luffy did as he was commanded and didn’t speak until he finished his plate.
“Do you have to work today?” he asked. He wasn’t sure if Law had a consistent schedule.
“Yeah but not until the afternoon. How about you?” Law asked.
Luffy’s schedule was pretty consistent. Monday and Wednesday were his days off. Tuesday was an easy night where the bar closed at midnight. They were open until 2am on Thursdays through Sundays but the staff were always there until at least 3am closing up or having a drink together. Sunday was a flex day and he could work on that day if he wanted a free night on the weekend. Otherwise, he was free during the day but he usually spent that time sleeping or lounging around with no real purpose.
“Ughhh yeah my shift is tonight. I don’t want to leave you though… Can’t we just say screw work?” He wanted nothing more than to just spend every second he could with Law. Whether it was eating together, lounging around, or going out to do something, he didn’t care. He just didn’t want to go back to his sad and lonely loft.
“No. I have to go save lives and you need to be responsible,” Law was right, he did need to work but that didn’t mean he was going to like it.
“But whyyyyy? I just want to lay around with you all day. When will I even get to see you again?” he whined.
“I’ll try to be home on Wednesday night.” How the hell did going to WORK equal being gone for two days? What kind of demon was Law? When did he even sleep?
“What? That’s two days from now! You can’t possibly work for two whole days?”
“Luffy, I’m Chief of Surgery at a fucking hospital. Either you accept that now or you don’t. Now stop whining.” Law sneered. Luffy wasn’t upset at the fact that Law worked so much, he was just disappointed that he had to wait so long to see him again. He wanted to make up for the two weeks they were apart and he couldn’t do that if Law wasn’t with him.
“Can we at least cuddle before you have to go to work?” Luffy said to Law with pleading puppy-dog eyes.
“Fine.” Law gave in with a sigh. Luffy grinned. He always won. Law was too easy.
Law cleaned up after them immediately and Luffy impatiently waited for him on the couch. Luffy had tried to help but Law pushed him out of the kitchen, deeming his assistance slow and inaccurate. After he was finished, Law dragged him back upstairs by the hand and wordlessly handed him a new toothbrush. They both brushed their teeth together in silence and with that, Luffy now had a toothbrush at Law’s house.
They spent the remainder of the afternoon on the couch, entwined in each other's arms while watching some irrelevant reality show, the occasional conversation floating into the comfortable silence. Luffy could definitely get used to this.
